CRIMES OF VIOLENCE

 As innocent and good-hearted we may be, there are many that have not experienced the blessing of spirituality, or of mysticism.  So many of us are very fortunate.  Our experiences have opened the doorway to greater understanding and the welcoming of inner peace in our lives. 

 

There are some however that aggressively preach their view to the point of bullying and vindictive behaviors.  Their means of conduct are often brought forward from childhood.  They unfortunately live a life of turmoil and upset not knowing that they have control over their actions and reactions. 

 

There are some individuals looking for support and love and are met with aggression by bullies or worse.  

 

With guidance and example most people can be taught conscious thinking and mindfulness.  We must however lead through loving examples, even in the face of adversity.

 

For most, it is can be far too easy to lose their way because of violence and/or fear. 

 

We have the potential to change lives through volunteer work, having a good ear, words of encouragement, financial assistance, and the list goes on.  Many get caught up in what they see in front of them, (social and new media, friends, co-workers).  It is far too easy to slip into or get caught up in the energy put out by others.  A mob mentality is a perfect example of this energy at work.

 

The more we see specific actions and feel specific energies, the easier it is to accept these as normal.  We slowly pick up attitudes and energies through influence and this can happen without realizing it is taking place.  This just reiterates the need for mindfulness.

 

Be the example to show these individuals that life can be enjoyed, not feared.  Some live their entire lives fearing others.  They know nothing more than anxiety each and every day.  Some end up incarcerated because of their violent retaliations. 

 

How can we help?  How can we make our world a little more peaceful? 

 

Be the example peace.  Reach out to those you can reach.   Teach compassion.

 

Violence and anger grown from life’s experience when mindfulness is lacking.  We have the ability to make a difference. Release anger and lay down your sword of retaliation and vengeance.

THE GRAND SQUARE

 The Grand Square involves at least four planets, two oppositions and four squares.  The first and third planets are in opposition to one another, the second and fourth are in opposition to each other, while the first squares the second and the second squares the third and the third squares the fourth and the fourth squares the first. 

 

A strong Grand Square will see all of the four planets in the same mode, cardinal, fixed or mutable.  If one or more of the planets do not fit into these criteria, it is considered a weak Grand Square.  The closer the squares and oppositions are by degree to one another, the stronger the energies of the Grand Square.

 

The Grand Square is considered a challenging aspect because of the general nature of these aspects.  They often produce stress and inner tension which can work against the individual or offer a challenge that will require inner strength and determination to advance through these challenging life conditions.  They can either become the stagnation in the lives of those under its influence or the motivating factor that has the potential of producing great strides forward.

 

When the Grand Square gets activated through transit or progression, these individuals will feel as though they are being pulled in four directions indicated by the planets involved and the houses that the planets are found in.  They may feel over-burdened and paralyzed by life’s conditions.  There is usually a planet that forms a tight trine or sextile within the Grand Square, and the energies and house placement will often help unlock the potentials found within the framework of this configuration.  This contained energy needs to find a release valve and this is often where the energies are released which if used properly can produce great results.

 

These individuals often need to turn inward and find their own strength.  Many feel as though they cannot rely on others to help them through life’s difficulties and therefore become stronger over time and very self-reliant.  This is not to say that reaching out is a bad idea or that no one can assist them in their time of crisis, but many become reliant on themselves and motivate themselves forward conquering these intrusions in turn becoming stronger.  Most people with challenging aspects find ways to use the energies in a helpful manner and they are often the ones that push ahead in life and make something out of themselves as time passes.

 

If they can find a goal or spiritual purpose behind the difficulties at hand, they can make their way in a positive direction and rise above any difficulty that comes their way.  The key is to know that they are not trapped and that there is always a way out, instead of beating their heads again the proverbial wall.  They are never trapped unless they allow themselves to become so. 

 

There are many valuable lessons learned from challenging aspects found within the framework of the natal chart.  We just need to address them accordingly and move through the hurdles often brought on through life’s experience.

THE T-SQUARE

 The T-Square is an astrological configuration involving two or more planets in opposition with one another and both of these planets making a square to a third planet.  This configuration can also involve the angles in the chart and all three planets or angles should be in the same mode. (Fixed, Mutable or Cardinal)  They should not have an orb greater than 10 degrees from being direct and the closer the orb of influence to being direct, the stronger this configuration. (3degrees or less is considered a tight orb)  The T-Square is considered weak if the planets are in different modes, or if one of the areas involved is one of the angles (Ascendant or Midheaven).

 

The T-Square, although considered a challenging aspect, does provide its recipient with motivation and through applied effort will often produce viable results and the recipient should possess a general ability to achieve in life.  As this configuration has three planets involved in the equation, when not expressed in its proper function, it becomes out of balance, leaning too much on one of the three directions.  The focal planet which is the one receiving the squares is often too accentuated and one tends to put all the weight on the opposite direction of that planet.  In other words, if the focal planet (the one receiving the two squares) is in the third house, we tend to focus our attention on the ninth house.  The area of life, described by the focal planet, its sign and also its house position can either be used creatively or become a source of frustration.  Using the energies of the focal planet accordingly is what is suggested.

 

The T-Square needs activity in order to function well, so you have to use the energies of the focal planet in a creative manner.  A T-Square used creatively is often found in the charts of very prosperous and up and coming individuals.  It is often noted that the focal planet is the most dominant planet in the chart and must be used appropriately in a favorable manner in order to achieve.  If not used properly it can become a thorn in the person’s side and often create conflict and struggle in a person’s life.

 

It is suggested that the area opposite the focal planet needs to be developed in some way creating balance.  Individuals with a Cardinal T-Square have a tendency to push through any type of crisis situation in their personal life and will need to find ways to balance and understand the needs of other people with the needs of their own.  They will need to realize that other people have their own perspectives and agenda and are also capable of deciding which way they may wish to move on their own accord.  The Cardinal T-Square operates in a similar fashion to the sign Aries.

 

People with a Fixed T-Square operate similar to the sign Taurus and have strong willpower and determination to succeed and build up their strength over a period of time or concentrated thought and then plunge into action.  They often need to find ways to release their energy constructively and also develop sensitivity towards other people’s needs.

 

Those with a Mutable T-Square have similar qualities of Gemini and are adaptable, changeable, versatile and restless and are influenced greatly by those around them.  They will need to find balance in the way that they rely on others and understand that they can rely on themselves more.  These individuals also need to stay in one direction rather than changing their minds midway and moving on to something new.

A VOTE OF CONSCIENCE

 In our changing environment we have to adapt to life circumstances and push to live to our potential.  Above all else, we need to live in accordance with our conscience.  We have to do what we believe is right and not only do what is right for us.  We also have to adapt to an attitude that what we choose to do has a positive influence on others. 

 

There are many self-righteous individuals in roles that affect the multitudes and how they conduct themselves in many ways affects us directly.  It becomes far too easy to conduct ourselves in the same fashion as the example in front of us.  As a result, it is imperative to be mindful of our actions and not to mirror what is in front of us. 

 

If there is an opportunity to right a wrong, should we take it? 

 

Are we undermining others if we attempt to change things for the betterment of the many?  

 

There is no worth to our values if we are not committed to them.  Sometimes we need to make a stand and do what is right and just.  Sometimes we, as a whole, can make changes that will in turn affect many and prove to be valuable in times to come. 

 

We are all affected by the actions of others which makes it imperative for influential individuals to keep the best interests of the whole in focus.

 

Ego can be a tyrant.  We have seen many examples of individuals in influential positions making decisions that tend to corruption where there should be integrity. 

 

Do not justify your actions because of other’s actions.  We should be ruled by our hearts not by greed and self-importance. 

 

Should our own material gain be priority to those in need? 

 

Should our own material personal gain not factor in the good we can do for others? 

 

When we promote love and compassion with integrity and trustworthiness we will capture the hearts of others and these qualities will then surrounds us.

 

It is up to each and every one of us to uphold our loving values in our own personal life and to stand by our truth and by doing so, we create a loving community around us.

THE MARS/URANUS CONJUNCTION JANUARY 20 & 21, 2021

 The Full Moon occurring on January 27, 2020 is in the sign of Leo, the king of the jungle, the ruler, the leader and as this approaching energy is a Full Moon, it speaks of culmination points.  It is interesting to note that just prior to this date (January 20/21) transiting Uranus and transiting Mars are conjunct at 6 degrees in the sign of Taurus and within the framework of this upcoming Full Moon. 

 

The conjunction between Uranus and Mars is a volatile combination.  The energies of Mars (war and aggression) align with Uranus (revolution and change) and this is the date of the inauguration of the new President into office in the US.  Mars and Uranus do not sit well together, and unfortunately anything is possible. 

 

These two planets will be in square to this Full Moon positioning, Mars 9 degrees and Uranus almost at 7 both in Taurus on January 27, 2021.  This should bring some stabilizing influence, but likely some challenging conditions, particularly in around January 20/21 when the energies are the strongest. 

 

Because Uranus and Mars are both timing factors in Astrology, these dates are significant.  Squares are troublesome and bring challenging situations into the framework of the energies created by this approaching Full Moon’s positioning.  The good or favorable conditions that may follow are due to the fact that squares are so troubling that they force us into action.  We are pushed to resolve the conflict.

 

Mars is the planet of aggressive force or drive and the planet of action.  Sometimes the energies in place are taken by premeditated action, but more often than not by a stimulation from within or from outside forces that pushes one into action without forewarning.  Mars is often behind arguments and confrontations, but when the energies are applied appropriately, Mars can be used as a driving force towards achievement.  Mars is what pushes us into action and drives us ahead in life towards the manifestation of our dreams and life objectives.  Without Mars, there would be little in the area of achievement and our eventual success.

 

In the sign of Taurus, our actions are more restricted, and this energy may go through vigorous planning before we actually move ahead.  There is less of a chance of jumping headfirst into situations and we will likely take our time before moving ahead.  The actions are more deliberate and thought out.

 

Uranus, on the other hand, seeks change and often through revolution although the plan is associated with furthering a cause or creating change that disrupts the norm, because the norm no longer suits the growth that is required.  Uranus although it can be disruptive, and erratic, it pushes us in the intended direction.  In the sign of Taurus, Uranus will act more on instinct and want to serve a purpose that fosters the solidification of something that is lasting and for the betterment of all concerned.

 

Together, although likely disruptive, these two planets can bring in a new direction for us all that will open the door to insight and further our evolutionary quest.  It does point in a new direction that hopefully will bring brotherhood and the realization that we all walk this road together and share the consequences of our actions. 

 

“Think before you jump” could be the motto for the upcoming energy.  It is important to make sure that violence is not the route to change and that a peaceful solution is not only possible, but on the priority list.

VENTURE FORTH

 The door in front of you is waiting to be opened. 

 

There is no special key and there are no obstructions in the way.  The only thing standing in the way of it opening is you. 

 

Your perception and your attitude either holds you back or pushes you forward.  Each one of us is offered that same passage regardless of past or present conditions.  The answers are available to everyone.

 

Do not hold yourself back.  Understand that the door is not locked. Open it and walk through! 

 

The minute you take that first step life begins to shift.  It is your obligation to “you” to venture forward.  Start your quest for truth.  Know that truth is always available if you care to ask.

SUN IN AQUARIUS JANUARY 19, 2021

 The Sun moves into the fixed, air sign of Aquarius on January 19, 2021. 

 

Aquarians have been known to be somewhat eccentric and original.  They know they are different but really do not mind.  They are known as futuristic and some have visionary concepts that are said to be way ahead of their time.  Many other Sun signs will have problems trying to understand some of Aquarius’ concepts.

 

Aquarians are moral by nature and trustworthy although radical in their thinking process.  This, of course, will depend on the sign their Mercury is in and the house their Sun is located in.  These placements along with the Ascendant can temper the Aquarius traits or add to their energies. 

 

Aquarians are humanitarian and enjoy discussing a range of progressive topics with others.  They have new ideas, and their motto would be “I know” and “Don’t fence me in” or “Don’t tie me down”.  They can also be somewhat radical, and it may be hard to sway their opinions yet most Aquarians are open to discussion. 

 

Many are involved in group activities and work well within these groups.  They need to share their ideas and learn new material that they can pass on to those that they deem are looking for assistance or need a push to move forward.  Aquarians often find it easier to talk with groups of people rather than have a conversation with an individual.  They are lovers of mankind and sympathetic to their plight although usually not prone to emotional expression.  Much, of course, will depend on the placement of their Moon by sign and house position.

 

Their symbol is the water bearer which inherently symbolizes the spreading of knowledge.  They truly want to push others out of complacency and help motivate people forward.  Aquarians always search for logical resolutions to issues brought on by life’s events.  The solution that they come up with will be positive in nature.  The advanced Aquarian will make others realize that they are the only ones that actually create their problems and as a result, each individual has to fix their own problems.  (This is not to say that others will not influence our lives but our reaction to what is said and what we do with the issue is always in our own hands.)  Aquarians use their intuition to advance others as these Sun sign individuals know instinctively what others need or at least they think they do.

 

Those with their Sun in Aquarius in the early degrees will have their Sun making a conjunction with Jupiter and Saturn in mid January 2021.  This is a powerful conjunction, and much talk has taken place over the influence of these two giants in recent weeks.  When combined with the Sun, this conjunction speaks of goals and aspirations along with the deep inner character traits linked with the Aquarian tendencies going through growth and opportunities although much work will be required to reach viable and favourable results.  Much will depend on where the Sun, along with these planets, is located in the natal chart.

 

If, for example, these planets are found in the first house, this becomes very personal and it may also affect their relationships.  Internal goals will be scrutinized and either pursued or worries can accompany these decisions due to the influence of Saturn.  It would be wise to push through adversity and move ahead but not to miss any steps along the way. 

 

If, for example, this conjunction takes place in the second house, then this would affect the finances and inner security.  Of course, these are short answers and a deep look into the chart is advised to get a full and clear picture.  Other aspects will influence these energies as well, and our attitude plays a significant role in these events. 

 

By February, 2021, these planets begin to separate although still considered conjunct until the end of February.  During these periods, the Aquarian may find Jupiter has a part in the unfolding of their goals and inner realizations or Saturn will play the more significant role.  Saturn tests our resilience and teaches lessons while Jupiter expands and builds towards opportunities promoting positivity and progressive action on our part.  Jupiter will be in Aquarius for about one year while Saturn will remain there for about 2 ½ years.
