NEW MOON MAY 11, 2021

 We will be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Taurus at 21 degrees today, May 11, 2021, at 3:01 p.m. EDT. 

 

A New Moon in the sign of Taurus has its energies tied to slow and steady progress or the steady flow of disintegrating matters.  Much will depend on if you have planets in your birth chart in positive or challenging aspects related to this position of the new Moon.

MARS SEXTILE URANUS

 Transiting Mars and Uranus are in sextile to one another from May 6 to May 15, 2021 and will be direct on the 12^th of May. 

 

Uranus is in the sign Taurus where its pushes for change and new directions but is somewhat challenged by Taurus’s need for stability and its want for permanence.  However, Uranus will initiate change where change is due and, depending on where transiting Uranus is placed in your personal natal chart.  How it is aligned with other natal factors will define how these energies materialize.

 

Mars has to do with drive and ambition and often provokes action.  Mars is often used as a timer in Astrology due to its push to act.  When in the sign of Cancer, its energies may be somewhat subdued and will be directed towards family and the home environment.  Mars’ energy can be a protective stimulus and guards against misuse or abrupt behavior directed towards these individuals.

 

Uranus and Mars together will stimulate action and the desire for change, however, perhaps only after careful review.  Uranus and Mars together push for a quick and sudden action, even a rush towards what is being accelerated into action.  Taurus and even Cancer will slow things down somewhat but the desire to push ahead is still strong.  Taking the time to filter through what needs to be done in order to experience a progressive change is suggested.

 

If, for example, the fifth and seventh houses are being stimulated and there is a conjunction to natal Mars or the Sun, perhaps this has to do with your children and your relationship with them.  Perhaps this is a son and the husband is involved.  The sextile often implies favorable action and is considered an opportunity aspect.  This engagement working its energies in the natal chart might work out quite favorably over the long haul.  Sometimes due to the energies of these two planets together, there is little we can do because the push is so strong.  Uranus works to invigorate what is needed and pushes for change that leads to some type of evolutionary growth.

 

As mentioned, much depends on other influences within the framework of your chart and we will also in a couple of weeks be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Taurus which may have an influence over what is unfolding.  May 11, 2021 will be when the energies of Mars and Uranus, as well as the influence of the New Moon, have their peak influence.

TRANSITING URANUS TRINE NATAL URANUS (AGE 28 & 56)

Transiting Uranus has an 84-year cycle.  In other words, it takes Uranus approximately 84 years to circle the Zodiac and move back to the original position where it was located at the time of your birth.  As a result, it is most likely that Uranus will trine its natal position twice in a lifetime.  Its first contact by trine is around the age 28 closely aligning with the first Saturn return, and the second will be at age 56, which is a couple of years prior to your second Saturn return and often sets the stage for what is to come.  Both positions will vary in energy from individual to individual primarily because of the location of transiting Uranus as well as the position of Natal Uranus by house position in our natal charts.

 

The first trine of Uranus to Uranus is significant because of the massive changes that will occur as a result of this trine and as a result of the Saturn return.  The Trine to Uranus initiates a desire for change and the want to break free and to begin anew or start over.  This is a time for utilizing the information obtained through life’s experiences up to the point of the trine. 

 

Uranus wants to shake things up and a trine usually suggests affirmative changes.  There will be a desire to break free from the influence of your parents and sometimes your peer group because this time is often referred to as the transition from young adulthood into the beginning of maturity and with maturity comes responsibility.

 

You will want to be able to do things the way you want and be able to express yourself more in your own manner.  This will likely be one of the most important periods of your life up to this point, although other transits may take priority.  Each Astrology chart is different.

 

With the Saturn return quickly at the heels of this trine to Uranus, responsibilities are sure to come your way and rather quickly.  As a result, this is a time of gaining inner strength and resilience so you are ready for whatever your Saturn’s return will bring.  This includes finding a suitable mate if you do not already have an appropriate one, finding an occupation that suits your ever-changing needs, (which I promise will settle after the Saturn return) and to break free of any restrictive life influences that feel as though they are holding you back.

 

The second trine at the age of 56 is quite different as you will be in a totally different state of mind and look at life from a different vantage point.  You are not setting the stage for what is important in life as when you were 28 as priorities change.  The need to settle into your life’s work and raising a family is likely behind you.  Initially, this second trine is a time for reflection and reviewing where you are now especially from the time of your Uranus opposition to its birth position at age 42.  The changes you made at that stage in your life have taken you to where you are now.  You will now evaluate your life’s experiences and your achievements, and in most cases, ready yourself for retirement which is often begins in and around the second Saturn return in about  2-3 years.

 

You will once again re-evaluate your life’s work and make some decisions on where you would like your life to go in the next several years.  You may work towards early retirement and set the stage for what comes next.  Some make massive changes now and if you take the time to think things over, you will probably be ready once your Saturn return is in full activation or nearing its conclusion. 

 

What is important now differs from what you experienced in the first trine period.  Now it will be your needs that must be met, and you will make whatever changes are needed that can push you in your intended direction.

 

During this trine it is suggested that you take the time to set a course that will eventually take you to where you might want to see yourself in approximately seven years when Uranus makes it second square to itself at age 63. 

 

The second Uranus trine is usually an exciting change of direction, one which is required by the soul personality and will take you where you need to go.  Both periods can be disruptive as sometimes change can be stressful for some individuals and the energies of Uranus can be sudden but under most conditions, the outcome is positive in its nature.   Uranus is the awakener and brings about important change that is the souls requirement.

 

Prepare yourself for change, for evolution, for an awakening of self.  This “self” is one that will not be recognizable until this period in your life has been experienced.

REMOVING THE SHACKLES

 We can be tightly bound by our beliefs.  If, for example, we think of ourselves as a failure in life, or believe that we are not worthy of love and happiness for whatever reason, then we stop ourselves short of success, love and happiness.   

 

If we believe that there is little to no future for us, how can we possibly move beyond these barriers to build the future of our dreams?  We have reduced our potential as a result and have held ourselves back because of these attitudes.

 

Some have argued that “off and on throughout life that they have been faced with challenging conditions and it seems as though no matter how hard they try to push ahead nothing ever seems to work.” 

 

We do not know what this journey will hold for us and at times we will experience conditions and events that we did not choose to experience.  However, many challenging experiences offer significant rewards in the end, if we don’t take the victim approach.  I am sure you have heard this before and you may be tired of hearing such statements. Is there a lesson to be learned and what will we gain from the experience?  Part of you may believe these to be hogwash.  If this is the case, why are these a repetitive theme in your life?  Why do the same issues keep resurfacing?  

 

If we do not learn, the lesson will repeated. 

 

Our attitude can make a valuable lesson easily learned or it can make a valuable lesson feel as though it is a punishment.  Pay attention to how you look at life’s events. 

 

Sometimes lessons repeat themselves because we need to make changes in our surroundings and other times, we just need to shift our attitude.  Believe it or not, the easiest test is to make a shift in attitude and then review where this takes you. 

 

Change may not happen overnight but then again it may.  It is important to remember that it has taken us some time to get to where we currently are, so it is quite possible it may take some time for the shift to take hold, but that’s okay, we do not need to hurry. 

 

Have patience and believe in yourself.  See ego’s chatter for what is actually is.  Ego insists on giving you a hard time and the closer you get to recognizing its false influence, the harder it tries to convince you it is right.  Eventually we see ego for what it really is, and we will realize that we do not have to give it control over our lives.

 

Ego, from its negative perspective, does not realize that we can actually have a wonderful working relationship.  With the proper relationship, ego can help and we can be stronger because of it.  Ego can nurture our creative self.

 

It is time to release the shackles of negative attitudes and underestimating our ability to love life.  As with everyone, we are entitled to happiness and we can prosper in our own way.  Life provides whatever we feel we are worthy off.  If you feel unworthy, you will be.  If you love yourself, life will be filled with love.  

 

Life reflects our believe structure and our expectations.

MOST ASPECTED PLANET IN A NATAL CHART

 When we review a natal chart, it is important to consider any planet which has at least 5 or 6 major aspects linked to it.  This planet is strengthened or exaggerated in its expression due to all these connections.  It is important to determine which houses are interconnected to this planet as well as the house where this strengthened planet resides.  The house which this planet is in will not be the main reference area of life.  The energies are released from this house and the other areas of life represented by the houses containing the other planets will have emphasized expression.

 

Not only are the houses representative of the flow of energies, but we must also include the four main angles in a chart, especially the Ascendant and the Midheaven.  If, for example, the Sun was conjunct the MC (Midheaven) by a very tight aspect, its energies of drive and ambition would be linked to moving ahead within the occupation or career.  

 

If Saturn were also in close opposition to this Sun/MC aspect then there might be challenges from other individuals when trying to move ahead in life or there would be obstacles standing in the way of progress.  With Saturn’s influence in this example, things might be delayed, or we might expect more duties and responsibilities as we move towards the objectives set in place within our occupation.  Some of the challenges experienced might be linked to family and our roots if Saturn was found in the fourth house for example.

 

Going one step further, let’s say that Jupiter and Venus were conjunct in the sixth house and made trines to this position of the Sun linked to the MC.  This would help with the situation and may suggest that the working conditions and co-workers would help facilitate growth and good fortune with the plans or push that might be associated with our occupation. 

 

Taking it one step further, let’s say that Uranus was in square to this elevated position of the Sun with the MC.  Uranus would certainly add to the unique potential of this positioning and might bring opportunities in unexpected manners but would make things difficult which would hopefully push us to work harder to achieve positive results.  Uranus might make us appear to be somewhat of a bohemian in our approach or it may push us into fields associated with electronics or scientific pursuits.   Uranus would certainly require that we push for something unique and perhaps unusual, or make us approach this occupational direction from a different vantage point or use a different perspective. 

 

Going one step further if Mercury were involved adding a sextile to the Sun/MC position, our mind would be well equipped, and we might have an advantage because of our ability to understand detail or make clear decisions that would affect our career and working potential.  Mercury might also figure into the equation, making a sextile to the Jupiter/Venus conjunction in the sixth house, providing analysis and the ability to delineate any problems within the working environment.

 

As you can see, this whole process would certainly add to the flavour of our initial Sun/MC conjunction.  All these aspects will add insight and energies when we look deeper at this initial conjunction and also make this positioning very important in the Astrology chart delineation.

LOVE'S LIGHT

Seek not outside that can be easily found within. 

 

Open the door to a loving perception through visualization and awareness.  Love is ever present within...always available and waiting to be experienced. 

 

Love radiates from self on a purely instinctual level.  It does not grow from the intellect although the intellect needs to understand that it is present.  Love is an energy that radiates outward once it has been released from within.  Its nature is to seek expansion.  We naturally radiate love (think of an child) unless we have trained ourselves otherwise.

 

It is available to and for everyone.  It can be experienced at any level of understanding.  Even the most intrusive individuals can share love and although many may feel as though they misplace love, it is always available and accessible if we care to draw upon it.  Our personal pursuits….our quests are tied to love even if it seems as though love is blemished through our actions in life.  True love is always pure and forgiving.

 

To experience love, we MUST go within.  If our world appears to lack love, we are not accepting its existence within.  If we open ourselves to self love and believe that we are worthy, no matter what ego may argue, we will know and experience love.  No one is denied its experience without their permission.  Love’s availability is the same for an infant as it is for the elderly, regardless of how we have lived our lives.

 

Find that loving light within that shines forever brighter.  That light is you.  It is always willing to reveal and share itself naturally.  It is part of your inner core.  Love radiates to the furthest reaches of life’s experience, if you allow it to!

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT THE MOON

Many people will feel the influence of Saturn as it approaches as much as 5 degrees before making a conjunction (same degree or 0 degrees) and up to 3 degrees separating.  Saturn’s influence has a slow but steady feel to it as it approaches.  It will increase in intensity and then slowly releasing its energies as it moves out of range.  Saturn is slow and deliberate, and its intensity is easily felt.

 

Saturn conjunct the Moon has its energies felt on an emotional level.  How it will affect you depends on whether the Moon is receiving other aspects, but it is safe to say that you may go through depressive moods, feelings of insecurity and inferiority, and your self-worth will not be at its highest. 

 

It is wise not to get caught up in the negative ramifications that this conjunction often implies.  You could easily become overly self-critical and although there is nothing wrong with self-analysis, remember to view yourself from a positive perspective as well.  Do not be overly nit-picky as you are discovering flaws that will need adjustment.  Much depends on the Sign Saturn is moving through. 

 

Interact with others to get a clearer perspective and a more rational explanation.  Do not isolate yourself because of your feelings.  You need to process and then let go. 

 

Saturn will challenge you to figure out who and what you are.  Self-reflection is a good thing, and you can learn a lot about yourself during this period.  It is pretty much guaranteed that you will take time to study your emotional makeup.  Remember growth is a good thing.
