SOLAR ECLIPSE JUNE 10, 2021

 Our next solar eclipse, which is an annular solar eclipse begins June 10^th at 5:35 AM and will reach its maximum extent at 5:40 AM. It will end at 6:38 AM EDT in Toronto, Ontario.  Please see the picture for visibility Canada courtesy of the University of Toronto. 

 

It is said that a solar eclipse lasts in years as long as its duration is in hours and minutes.  This eclipse’s total time elapse will be 1 hour and 50 minutes, so its effects will last almost 2 years. 

 

This eclipse is most powerful for those with a planet or angle in their natal chart in conjunction or opposition to the degree this eclipse is in.  This eclipse is in the Sign of Gemini and at 19 degrees.  You can allow at 3 degree orb on either side, so it will affect those between 16 to 22 degrees of Gemini or Sagittarius (some astrologers give as much as a 5-degree orb of influence).  This is not to say that those with squares or other major aspects to this degree will not be influenced, but it has been noted that the conjunction and opposition have the greatest effects.

 

A solar eclipse can occur during a New Moon when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction to one another, and the Moon blocks out the Sun; and in the case of the Annular Solar Eclipse, it almost blocks out the whole Sun, but leaves a visible ring which is referred to as the “Ring of Fire”.  It is important for everyone to equate this Solar Eclipse to the house placement where it occurs in their natal chart, and it is extremely important for those that have it directly on their ascendant or midheaven as these are great areas of accentuation.  The houses are the areas of life that will be affected.

 

New Moon’s and a Solar eclipse, which only happens about once or sometimes twice a year, speak of new beginnings, sometimes bringing good news, prospects and can uncover hidden potential.  A new cycle has begun.  In Gemini the sign of seeking knowledge, communication and adventure especially if you have a planet in the sign of Sagittarius at this degree can open the door and bring opportunities to the forefront.  Change is often inevitable but also due.  Sometimes we have to leave something behind in order for something to begin.  Letting go is a theme of New Moon and an Eclipse.

DELIGHT IN TRUTH

Reflect on all of the good that life provides.  What is the purpose of fixating on what “you feel” you are missing in your life.  What is the purpose of having an attitude of “why me” because of the difficult lessons you are learning from time to time.  Deal with issues as they arise but be sure to be thankful for all that you accomplish and for life’s fulfillments and the love generated from within.

 

Be thankful for your life and all its blessings.  Be thankful for that little voice inside.  Be thankful for your ability to filter thoughts and act on them.  Be thankful of the tranquility that the mind can experience through acts of meditation.  Be thankful for all interactions in life that provide you with the resources necessary to move forward with your life. 

 

Take a moment to reflect on your own personal life and all the gifts within it.  In reality, they are too numerous to try to list.  Take an honest look at your life.  Be thankful for all the challenges that life provides you with for these are your steppingstones to growth.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE IN ASPECT TO MERCURY

It is important when delineating an aspect between transiting Neptune to Mercury to take a close look at how Mercury is aspected in the birth chart.  The natal aspect can either soften the transit or challenge it, regardless of what the current transiting aspect might be.

 

For example, if Mercury is trine to Jupiter, sextile to the Sun, and conjunct Venus in the birth chart, any transiting aspect would not be very challenging.  If, however, Mercury is square to Saturn, in opposition to Uranus and also square Neptune, this would cause great stress when activated through transit or progression regardless of the transit aspect.  Any aspect to Mercury in the birth chart will also be activated during this transit, especially so if in close aspect by degree of separation in the birth chart.

 

It is also necessary to look at the house Neptune is currently transiting as well as its placement in the birth chart, as this will help define what area of life is being affected.

 

With this information at hand, a conjunction between Mercury and transiting Neptune can be quite difficult to handle.  As Mercury rules the mind and thinking process, analytical abilities can be misunderstood or unclear.  You can be “way off” in your assessment of a situation and restructuring of your life is not recommended until this transit is over.  Decision-making can be clouded and if connected to business, you may not be getting the proper information or someone could be deceiving you.  Others may also have trouble making sense of what you might be trying to convey as well.

 

On the positive side of this aspect, the mind is now open to the subtle influences of mystical and inspirational messages from beyond.  You could experience amazing clarity with visions as your mind is more open to such things.  Your intuitive faculties are highlighted and although you might have found something very significant (unless others are in the same vibrational frequency and open to mystical events), you might want to keep this information to yourself as they may simply not be ready to hear what you now understand.

 

The energy of the square between these two planets is similar to when the thinking process is off or vague.  Your mental focus will be off, and what you think may be way off as well.  It is wise not to make any important decisions during this period as mistakes can have profound effects.  You most likely are not seeing things clearly and it is easy to misjudge important matters.  Communication with others has its challenges as well and misinformation can be taken as truth and disillusion could be the result.

 

You may also find that you worry about outcomes during this time or feel confused or even depressed.  It is important to recognize that this is a result of the influence of Neptunian energies and the tests that you are experiencing will eventually lead to clarity and understanding.

 

The opposition aspect is often related to misinformation or lost communication with others.  Other people are usually involved in the equation.  This could involve partnership, family, friends, acquaintances, and even co-workers.  There seems to be a misunderstanding, and you may have quite the time getting things in proper perspective.  It is usually about communication or false information and it may lead to actions that are not suggested.  You may jump to conclusions or mistrust others.  Knowing that this is a possibility is a wonderful tool.

 

The trine and sextile aspects can be very inspirational and offer potential insight into the workings of the subconscious.  You may find answers to questions you have been searching for, for quite some time.  You may come to understand the hidden universal language spoken only by a few.  This can be an awakening time and is very noteworthy as you can easily recognize the difference between illusion and creative thinking.  Dreams could also be inspirational and you could use these tools for writing a book or to going deeper into meditation.  You could also share this information with like-minded individuals.

TRANSITING SATURN SQUARE TRANSITING URANUS

This aspect between Saturn and Uranus in transit is in place from January to July of 2021, and then tightens up again November 2021 into early 2022 and becomes active again in July of 2022 until the end of December of 2022. 

 

As you can see this aspect is powerful for a long time.  Anyone with planets in the natal chart from 3 degrees right through to about 20 degrees especially by conjunction, square and opposition, will find that they will have an impact in their lives.  The trines and sextiles will also play a significant role and in a much more favorable manner.

 

Square aspects have to do with tension, struggle, and difficulties, however due to the influx of adversity squares are beneficial as they force us into action as the tension is too high for us to just sit back and do nothing.  This is the beauty of the square aspect. 

 

Saturn has to do with limitations and restrictions and is known as the great teacher.  We learn from its lessons although in most cases they are and, in some cases, long lasting.  The reward for hard, diligent effort however, often surfaces as lessons well learned and a solidifying of our objectives.  Basically, you reap what you sow.  But it is not always a pleasant experience getting there.

 

Uranus on the other hand has to do with revelation and disruption which fosters in the new.  Its influence is rarely subtle and often takes place in rather tumultuous ways.  Uranus is unpredictable, unexpected, and often sudden in its release.  It is unconventional in its delivery but always pushes us in the direction that is due for change.  This new direction often takes some time to rationalize and we may have trouble with settling into whatever Uranus brings into our lives.

 

Saturn seeks reliability which Uranus pushes for change and disruption, so you can imagine that there will likely be some disruptive energies at work.  Part of you will want things to remain the same regardless of how challenging the situation might become and another part is pushing for change although this will disrupt the normal flow of life.

 

Much will depend on which houses are involved in the equation and what other planets are part of the profile that are unfolding.  One thing is for certain, this will certainly be a time of lessons and change is almost inevitable. 

 

The next period of intensity after the February/March, 2021 timeframe will be May/June.  This second period these planets will be at the 12/13-degree mark.  The orb of influence is 3-5 degrees before and 2-3 degrees after.  Use these energies wisely and see where life takes you.  Sometimes you are better off going with the flow rather than paddling against the current.

PROGRESSED SUN CONJUNCT THE NATAL ASCENDANT

The Sun, whether it is the natal or progressed Sun, speaks of our vitality, our energy, and our ability to recuperate.  It also deals with the ego, our ambition and partly governs the success you can attain in life.  The Sun also is representative of the Father and sometimes other authority figures prominent in your life, although Saturn often covers this.

 

The progressed Sun moves one degree per year and over a period of your lifetime will move the length of time you are alive.  If you live 100 years, the sun will progress approximately 100 degrees.  It will make a semi-sextile to the natal Sun at 30, the semi-square at 45 and the sextile at 60.  At approximately 72 it makes a Quintile to its original position. For those lucky enough to live into their nineties, they will experience the square at age 90.  It will also make many aspects throughout your lifetime to other planetary placements in the birth chart, including the Ascendant.  In order for it to reach the Ascendant, the natal Sun must be within 90 degrees, give or take depending on your lifespan to the ascendant (11^th -12^th house) at birth to make any connections to this significant placement of your Ascendant.

 

The effects of the Progressed Sun on your Ascendant is a three year aspect and the middle year is the most significant.  This will be when it becomes direct and 0 degrees in separation to your Ascendant.  This conjunction can produce both challenging conditions and easy reinforcing life conditions that will aid you in moving forward in life.  This is partly due to the transits that will make contact to this placement over this period of time as well as the natal condition of your Ascendant.

 

When a conjunction occurs, there are often potential opportunities for advancement in the profession.  At times people in authority will aid the individual in achieving their goals and can become a motivating factor.  In some cases, these opportunities come to the father.  In a woman’s chart, this is often a time of marriage or engagement, and opportunities for meeting up with a suitable suitor are enhanced, especially if the Vertex is involved or Venus and Jupiter or if the seventh house is being activated.  The health is usually good when the conjunction has easy aspects from transits affecting it.  The goals that are being focused on often have a greater chance for success.

 

If, however, this conjunction is receiving challenging aspects from other planets in transit, especially outer planets, the chances for success are greatly diminished or this individual will have to work very hard in order to achieve the same level of success that the easy flow aspects would create.   Much of what transforms depends on which planet is transiting the conjunction and its house placement as well as its house placement natally.  You can also look to the house it rules in the natal chart to get more information as to how events may unfold and what areas of life will be involved.  There may also be difficulties with the health of this individual although you would have to look at the overall condition of the natal Ascendant and Sun as well as any planets in the twelfth house, known as the house of ingrained health issues, if poorly aspected and sometimes there are indicators in the sixth house.

 

When the progressed Sun advances towards the Ascendant, we may feel a draw to make changes to our life that would enhance our world.  Some will make changes to their appearance while some become involved in exercise routines that enhance the body.  Paying close attention to our well-being is always recommended and especially so when this conjunction is (again if we were born with the Sun in the 11^th or 12^th house) about to take hold in our life.

DO NOT LOSE YOUR PERSPECTIVE

Do not allow yourself to lose focus of your personal principles.  It is important not only during good times but especially through hard lessons to continue to share, love and be compassionate.  We must always be the mirror image of what we want to see in our world around us.

 

It is said that we are currently in a transitional stage.  As with all transition periods, it is turbulent.  Be compassionate and share love with your fellow brothers and sisters.  Review the facts but remember the positive.  The positive is plentiful if we care to pay attention.  We may be in a state of flux but that does not mean that we cannot stay focused on our true journey, which is based on love.  We can rise above any global event.  When we focus on the blessings in each and every day, which are too numerous to list, we keep our energy levels high above the levels that perpetuate fear and hatred.

 

Live each day in a manner that serves you best.  Do not allow the actions of others to intrude into your loving world.  If we live in fear and hatred, then the actions of those lacking in love around us have truly infiltrated our own personal world and lowered our energy.  Peace, contentment, joy.....these cannot be obtained through violence, discontent or hatred. 

 

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated this clearly:

“The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,

begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.

Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.

Through violence you may murder the liar,

but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.

Through violence you may murder the hater,

but you do not murder hate.

In fact, violence merely increases hate.

So it goes.

Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,

adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness:

only light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”

 

We are one.  Our beliefs in life are not worth having if they cannot stand up during times of trial.  Let the light of source continue to be your guide and stay true to your own personal journey.

 

Nothing can bend the strong arm of compassion and together as a force we can help channel hate in different directions.  Hate is the absence of love.  If you fill hate with love, it can no longer exist.  All actions create waves of energy.  These waves are continual and once they have returned, you will reap the harvest of what you have sown.  Life looks after itself and what we set in motion today will have ramifications in our world on future dates.

 

Acts of love and compassion raise your vibration, and as a result, raises the vibration of all that surrounds you.  Rise above the seeds of fear that have been planted.  Find that place within that resonates with love at the highest level. 

 

Together our energies create the whole.  There is only one life to live for the moment, one life to give in the moment.  Here, today, in this moment is your opportunity to make this world a better place for you, for everyone, for the whole.
