MINI FORECAST LEO - JULY TO OCTOBER 2021

 The Planets that we will focus on are Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto. During this time frame, Jupiter will move between 22 to 29 degrees of Aquarius (going direct on October 18) and forming an opposition to the Sun in Leo at these degrees. Neptune in Pisces (between 20 to 22 degrees) will be in retrograde this whole period forming a quincunx. Pluto which will be retrograde in Capricorn 24 to 25 degrees, also making a quincunx to those with their Leo Sun at these degrees. You can allow up to a five-degree approaching direct and a two-degree separating to your Leo Sun.

 

The Aspect between Pluto and the Sun will likely be pronounced and particularly strong for those with their Sun direct to this placement.  Pluto speaks of transformation and change and often points towards conditions related to the house positions that Pluto is transiting through and the natal placement of your Sun by house. Check your natal position of Pluto to get further details.

 

Pluto suggests issues related to power struggles and a need for control of situations.  Change will be due, and you may find that you must adjust what is taking place in your life.  You may feel as though life is pushing you in a new direction and making powerful suggestions as what once was is no longer suitable.  You can resist these necessary adjustments, but it is likely futile.  This can take many shapes and the astrological houses will clearly identify just how these energies will surface.

 

Transiting Neptune will also be making a quincunx to the placement of your Leo Sun and may have been quite aware of its energies before July, 2021.  Neptune in quincunx to the Sun tends to dissolve conditions and adds a veil of uncertainty.  You may be unsure where this is taking you and feel confused as to which way to turn and how to move ahead.  The Sun often deals with goals and aspirations and speaks directly about what this means for you.  Internal changes are likely taking place and you may be viewing life from a different perspective now. The mystery of this transit also speaks of adjustments being required, and as you move through this energy, you will begin to shift and evaluate where life is taking you.

 

Jupiter in Aquarius making an opposition to this position suggests other people are part of the picture and that they are the ones initiating the activity. You may be swept along because of their actions.  Jupiter expands on things and makes things seem larger than life.  Although all these aspects indicate some level of tension and adjustment, Jupiter often suggests that taking this new route might just be what needs to happen.  Jupiter also promotes growth through experience and favourable conditions as time passes.

SOLAR RETURN CHART

A Solar Return Chart is generally prepared at the time of an individual’s birthday, although it can be prepared at any time and is prepared with information on the exact day that the Sun returns to its original position in the natal chart, by the sign, degree, and minute, precisely. If the Sun in the birth chart is in Capricorn at 15 degrees 12 minutes, the return chart is prepared with the exact same location for the year in focus.

 

This Chart is prepared in similarly to a birth chart, as the exact timing establishes the Ascendant degree for your location. The location is where you may happen to be on the day of the return, (which, again, establishes the Ascendant’s degree.) It is read as a birth chart although it is only focused for the year from birthday to birthday. Some begin to feel the energies as they approach the birthday as much as 3 months prior to the actual birthday. 

 

Studying your Solar Return Chart can help you prepare for the energies which will be at hand and you can focus on whatever areas of life will be emphasized for that year. You can also add transits to the solar return for the period in question.

 

The Ascendant sign and ruling planet of the Ascendant, the Moon and its sign and house position, the Sun and its house position as well as any major configurations and tight aspects will play significant roles. If the Solar Chart has many similarities to the natal chart, it will be an important year, especially if the rising sign is close in degree to the rising sign of the natal chart.

 

The Moon, its house and aspects will define your emotional makeup for the focal year. You should also investigate the aspect from the Solar chart to the natal positions, as this will help give a clear picture and provide you with timers for events and areas of life that might be involved. Remember our natal chart is our blueprint.

 

Although the Sun is in the same sign and degree, its house placement likely will be different. There are many other facets to take into consideration but this chart on its own will define clearly what to expect in the year in focus and will often correlate with the transits and progressions to the natal chart. It adds dimension to the overall translation of upcoming energies and events in the forecast for the year ahead.

SYNASTRY AND COMPOSITE CHARTS

 Synastry and Composite charts can be prepared when two people first meet or when there is an ongoing relationship. These charts provide clues into the nature and function of the relationship. The relationship can be emotional, business or otherwise.  These Chart reveal the compatibility of the individuals involved and provide insight into how both the easy flow energies and the more challenging energies of the relationship will flow.

 

The Composite chart uses the calculated midpoint of all the planets and angles.  Synastry charts are the comparison between two individuals using their natal charts and then looking for aspects between the two charts.

 

Either chart can be prepared for two individuals (business partners, life partners, parent/child relationship, sibling relationship, and the list goes on).  Any two individuals can have these types of charts prepared, however to have either of these charts prepared an accurate birth time, date of birth and place of birth for both individuals are required.

 

There are challenging aspects in most charts and sometimes areas that lack specific energies.  The charts can indicate if the other individual has to bring resolution to any issue or bring further difficulties into place.  The energies and type of aspect will often denote what to expect and how to overcome the adversity or how to manipulate the energies in such a way to promote positivity into the relationship.

THE MIND IS NOT THE MASTER

Many of us connect our mind’s interpretation and its focus with whom we are. We identify with this focus and intently listen to the mind’s constant chatter. As a result of our focus on this chatter, we experience extremes in our emotions. We can be swept along aimlessly, and we fail to realize or question this habit. 

 

Many of us are not aware of our ability to detach ourselves from the mind. We can choose whether to listen to the thoughts and chatter. We always have a choice as to what we take on as our own, what to act on and what to allow to be dropped.  It is a choice, whether conscious or unconscious.

 

Distinction and perception are attainable. Once attained, we deal with a though and then let it go. Positive thinking, channeling our perception away from habitual responses, meditative techniques and mind’s focus are some practices that can be utilized to help control our mind’s auto response.

 

There are countless self-help and psychology books and speakers that can assist developing our focus techniques if we are struggling with this.  Although others can help us facilitate expansion of awareness, we are the ones that must do the “hands on”, “practical” work.

 

We heal from within and ultimately the only factor of change is whether or not we decide to make change. It is imperative that we understand our place and responsibility with everything in life. 

 

We do not need to be imprisoned by our mind, and our lessons of growth and freedom develop through life’s experience. We have the power to move in whatever direction we choose and to rise above any events in our journey. Life is a miracle to be fully experienced, including every twist and turn. Experience this moment with gratitude. Recognize our ability to rise to the top (whatever our definition of the “top” may be).

SUN IN LEO JULY 22, 2021

On July 22, 2021, the Sun moves from the watery, cardinal sign of Cancer into the fiery, fixed sign of Leo.  In some ways both signs have some characteristics that might be considered similar, such as the need for Cancer to nurture and its sensitivity, although Leo would change the nurturing qualities into caring and the strong desire to assist those in need.  Leo is still considered sensitive and even emotional but can control these emotions easier than the ever-sensitive Cancer.

 

Most Leo individuals enjoy the limelight and enjoy being the center of attention. They truly enjoy being of assistance although can be a little too controlling for some, but their intensions are always good. They often feel they know what is best for others and do not mind sharing their ideas. Leos are willing to help others but also would like some recognition for their efforts.  They try very hard and would appreciate a pat on their back for their efforts.

 

Leo can be dramatic and will not go unnoticed unless there are other factors in the chart suggesting otherwise.  Leo individuals are strong-willed, stubborn, and often are found in a leadership role.  If they are not in a leadership role, they likely wish they were. In many ways they feel as though they could do as good or better than their superiors.  Approval from their superiors goes a long way and in turn a Leo individual can have respect for these superiors if they are motivated and success is part of their story. 

 

Many Leo individuals are dynamic and energetic in their approach to life. They want to experience and live.  They have a strong need to be part of any experience as they are not a spectator. Live and let live might be one of their slogans and failure is not an option. If you hurt a Leo, they will forgive but they will not forget.  Hurt runs deep as they are ruled by their heart.

 

When in love they love with all their heart and their affection can run deep.  They may have many suitors and those that are meek or timid are often drawn to Leo. Leo are a force to be recon with and there is very little that is halfway about them.  As a friend they can be very loyal and their manners are considered stately. Leo is the lion, king of the jungle.

 

Those with their Sun in the later degrees of Leo may find this year that they may have had to make many adjustments and it will not have been easy. They have their Sun quincunx to both Pluto which speaks to the lessons of power and non-conformity and Neptune which has to do with degrees of vagueness and uncertainty. The placement of these two transiting planets will define the areas of life which are being activated. 

 

Saturn has also been in opposition to those with their Sun in Leo in the early to mid-degrees.  Oppositions always speak of others having an impact in what is taking place and Saturn although restrictive and known as the teacher, does insist on lessons that over time bring more solid ground often after some challenging conditions.  In many cases we can certainly look to Covid for some of these conditions, although due to the challenging conditions from these outer planets Leo may have had a more difficult time than most.
