TRANSITING SATURN SQUARE NATAL JUPITER

As a bit of a background, Saturn in retrograde often works different than most other planets when in retrograde. Normally the planetary energies are withheld during retrograde, while Saturn (who’s energy is normally restricted) is quite the opposite. Some consider its retrograde energies like the energies of Jupiter. Saturn’s energies, which are normally withdrawn, are now softened. When Saturn is direct in motion, its energies are restrictive and disciplinarian and the urge to make deliberate plans of action are restricted and stifled.

 

T. Saturn makes things difficult especially when in direct motion and a square to Jupiter often denotes a time when plans are thwarted and very limited. If you want to achieve while this square is in place, you will have to work diligently and will likely feel limited with your progress. Saturn will test your resolve and will require a review of how your life is progressing, especially in areas related to business ventures and finances. Your career options may also be under focus and people in authority will be watching your every move. Be sure you do not skip any steps. Taking on too many projects is never suggested when Saturn is involved and most certainly not when Jupiter and Saturn are in square with one another.

 

Saturn & Jupiter were in conjunction at the start of the pandemic about 2 years ago which we discussed in previous posts. Although we did not know about the virus specifically indicators were in place that we would be experiencing a challenging period. A Square will bring issues out into the open and expose challenging conditions to intense scrutiny and observation. Your resolve will be tested and if you did not look at it from every angle and make sure that everything was completed according to the best set of standards, you may have to cut your losses and begin anew. In seven years, things will once again be tested as Saturn will then be making an opposition to your Jupiter and if things are not working now, it is wise to just begin again using an alternate means if the initial plan did not work. Oppositions often suggest that other people are involved in the equation.

 

During the square, Jupiter, which is all about expansion and freedom of movement, will be harnessed and tested. The desire to move out into new directions does not sit well with Saturn and you will be wise to make sure that before you move ahead you take the necessary measures. If not you will be stifled and held back in your objectives during this aspect. Obstruction and agitation, along with anxiety, may all be part of the process, but the end result if you make sure that you crossed all the “T”s and dotted all the “I”s should be worth the effort. The foundation that you build during this time will stand the test of time and be built on solid ground.

 

It is often suggested that you wait until this transit is over before you make alternate plans or begin new projects. There will be far less obstructions and fewer obstacles to overcome.

TRANSITING URANUS CONJUNCT NATAL MERCURY

 The first planet we are looking at today is Mercury, the planet of the mind. Mercury needs to be stimulated by other planetary energies or important angles in the chart to become active. On its own, Mercury is considered neutral. Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo.

 

Secondly, Uranus is considered a planet of action and often brings change, sometimes disruptive. This change is usually required as it creates room for something new. Uranus is impulsive, erratic and unconventional in its behaviour. It often brings a fresh start to an otherwise stale condition.

 

When active through conjunction, Uranus brings emphasis to what it touches and creates activities often put into motion on the days when it is most direct. It is used as a timing factor and although its energies can be felt for as much as 5 degrees approaching, it intensifies immensely as it draws near to becoming direct.

 

When Uranus is in conjunction with Mercury, the mind is stimulated and new concepts, often original and sometimes different from anything experienced before, can come to life. Communicating these ideas will play a significant role in whether they get off the ground. Inaction is not suggested and the need to be open and share information is advisable. Often a by-product of these blended energies is a shift towards altering another person’s perspective, pushing them into something new and stimulating (although if in Aries, the energies can be usually very personal in nature). Uranus has to do with technology, science and mathematics and is also correlated with Astrology. Often these areas are part of the unfolding story.

 

Uranus also asks that we become open to anything new during this time. As a result, those that are fixed will need to become more flexible. Uranus is currently in Taurus (May 2022), and Taurus does not like to reach out to new horizons. Taurus wants stability and structure. Making mistakes is uncommon because of the need for things to be reliable and steadfast. Not taking the time required to think things through can be a result of the impact of Uranus, as it can be quite impulsive. Cultivate patience and learn how to persevere through potential setbacks especially if Saturn is somehow connected.

 

T Saturn is currently square to Sun in Taurus @ 20-25 degrees and will be causing a great deal of push and pull for those affected although this will not apply to those with their Sun conjunct Uranus which currently is 14-15 degrees. From August to December Sun in Taurus around 18-20 degrees will have these energies strong in their chart. T Saturn will provide a degree of caution and perhaps even the fear of failure, while Uranus and Mercury will push towards action. Take the time needed to ensure that what you are trying to accomplish has a chance to succeed and then move forward. If you happen to fall short of your objectives, do not hesitate to pick up the pieces and begin again.

 

This is a time to reach out beyond boundaries and setting sail for something new, that, with proper insight, has the chance to succeed.

TRANSITING SATURN OPPOSITION NATAL MOON

 Saturn tends to make things difficult while transiting the houses (each house represents specific areas of life) making aspects to planets, luminaries and the angles in our charts. Saturn has difficult, yet valuable, lessons to teach.

 

Saturn is often associated with studious conditions and work-related matters. Its effects can be long lasting, often requiring a lot of work. This can relate to our goals in life and what it takes to reach them. These goals should be far reaching and long-range. With hard work and a diligent effort some of these goals can be attained and often stand the test of time.

 

When T Saturn is in opposition, this often signifies that other people will be involved somehow, (often the energies come from someone else, or the action is initiated by someone else). The energies are challenging and can be emotional when the Moon is involved.

 

The Moon is very sensitive but especially sensitive towards the family, the children and anyone needing nurture. Eg If this opposition involves one of your children (fifth house or fourth house) you would have difficulty protecting them or they might be challenging your authority.

 

You may find that although you feel very emotional, part of you will want to control your emotions during this period. This would not be easy for someone with their Moon in Cancer or Pisces or if the Moon is challenged in the natal chart. You may find that you back off, when in fact you should be pushing forward. You should be standing your ground and do what must be done, as being strict and steadfast in your approach might be just what Saturn is requiring or teaching you. Remember Saturn is the teacher and the disciplinarian.

 

It will not be an easy lesson to learn. If you need to take a stand, in the long haul, it will potentially work in your favour but it may not feel this way in the moment.

 

Saturn offers rewards for conscientiousness and careful planning. Take time to plan out the steps you need to take. Evaluate your circumstances and plan and prepare.

 

If you find that you are fighting back from an emotional standpoint, you may be on the losing end of these lessons. Respond with kindness and affection if the potential exists. In some cases depending on the Moon’s sign it may be difficult to react with kindness and loving affection, but it is always available on some level.

YOUR ENERGY FIELD

Our energy field is our life’s force. It is the energy that surrounds and permeates through and around our bodies. It has been called our aura which can be seen by certain individuals as varying colours. Our energy field can also reflect what we expend outwardly during our daily life.

 

What can we do to enhance its strength?

 

It varies in frequency by how we relate to our environment and mirrors that which we feel as a vibration. It varies day to day depending on what thoughts we allow and how we feel about what we are experiencing in the moment.

 

Our physical wellbeing can also affect our energy field or is our physical wellbeing affected by our energy field?

 

Attitude plays a huge part and our response to life is reflected in our vibration. This vibration is constantly resonating out into the world. We can use the image of a wave on the ocean which can be affected by weather or climate, (life circumstances) and passing vessels (information coming through). We can be influences by the climate we live in and this climate (life circumstances) tends to influence our lives whether we are aware of it or not. Once we become aware, we can take shelter from the tide (control our emotions and how we react to stimuli in our lives).

 

By channeling our focus in directions that add to our well-being and our immediate surroundings, we surge our energy field in these directions and can deal with and then release what we prefer not to follow. By focusing on love and compassion, we do not experience hate and indifference. By nurturing love, we readily help those in need around us which adds to the energy field of love and peace. By giving off this type of energy it will radiate from our core and will then be shared by those that accept it around us and this energy is also reflected into our environment.

 

Our energy field reflects how we live our lives, how we view our lives and how we care for and aid those around us. It radiates from us just as our moods. Eg Walk into a room where someone has just had an argument. The saying goes “You could cut the air with a knife” or that gut feeling when we first meet someone. We do not know this person, but we certainly know if we want to nurture a relationship with them or if we should simply walk away. We can read each other’s energy fields if we are open to them.

 

Meditation and visualization will push us in our direction of choice.  It can take time, but we can open the door to perception, understanding and truth.

 

There are countless energy fields in our world. They may be calling us to join in with the conscious evolution that is occurring. We can open our hearts and add to the loving energy so many feel or fail to feel. If we are focused on fear, we cannot feel calm. If we are focused on love, we cannot hate.

THE URANUS OPPOSITION

Uranus has a cycle of 84 years when it returns to its natal position. The halfway point is known as the opposition or mid-life crisis which occurs between the ages 39-42.  This is a dynamic period for most people as not only do we experience the Uranus opposition, but we are also experiencing transiting Saturn in opposition to its natal position around the same time.

 

Uranus suggests a change of direction often due to a need for freedom in some aspect of our life. In many cases, certain aspects of life have become stagnant and we are no longer growing in the way we should. Perhaps life has become too much of a routine. We need a change, something new and exhilarating, and this is when changes occur that may seem radical to others. The changes are often sudden or unexpected.

 

As mentioned, there is also the opposition of T. Saturn to its natal positioning which has to do with the need for stabilization and responsibility. How will this play into the equation?

 

The Saturn opposition suggests that other people are behind the decisions that we take currently, and this applies to the Uranus opposition as well. Of course we need to take responsibility for our own personal actions, as we make our own decisions, even if others play into what we decide to do.

 

This can be a time of upheaval and dynamic change which in some ways feels out of our control although we make the move. This could involve a relationship, career, the home and family, love relationships, spiritual unfolding, etc. depending on the house T. Uranus is moving through and the house where you find your N. Uranus.

 

This will likely not be a pleasant time although we must also have a look at the aspects in place to the natal Uranus position and other natal positions. The whole picture always must be reviewed for a clear picture.

 

Most feel the energies of T. Uranus beginning up to 5 degrees approaching and lasting until it is about 2 degrees past being direct. Often you can pinpoint when the energies are the strongest as it approaches becoming direct. Something happens in a rather unexpected manner and in many cases, we are not well prepared. Jumping is never suggested but you just might and sometimes have regrets immediately after doing so. Usually over the long haul you realize that the steps taken were meant to take place and will put you more in line with the path you are supposed to be taking. Uranus is the awakener and that is just what it will do.

 

Be as prepared as possible and expect the unexpected under this influence. This is a very significant period and major changes will affect your life.

PERSONAL SPACE YET CLOSENESS

The need for our own personal space and yet the need to be close to others is a dilemma shared by many.

 

We all need and want to be loved and appreciated. We expand in the warmth of love shared. We also need our own personal space and the ability to move in whatever direction is necessary.

 

Many couples are confronted with this paradox.

 

Being single or in an open relationship allows you to do what you want when you want without having to answer to anyone. This is preferred by some but offers insecurity and loneliness for others.

 

Being in a close relationship allows sharing life with someone we love and never feeling alone. There are days, however, when we need our own space, and the demands of our partner may be trying.

 

In a perfect world, we have a balance of both, and it is achievable if there is give and take on both sides. If we truly love someone, we don’t mind giving up a little personal freedom to share. Is true love not unconditional?

 

It is essential to be open and communication with our partner if we have chosen to share this life. It is important to discuss our own personal needs and to allow our partner to be open with us and respect what they need. A partnership is equal give and take without keeping tabs. Relationships are hard work.

 

Spend a few minutes each day in quiet solitude even if only for a short walk, a quiet shower or a quiet meditation. These little practices can provide personal space daily.

 

On the other side of the coin, create special time together such as a romantic dinner without television or telephone interruptions. Take a stroll through a park hand in hand. We can even take care of both needs-meditate together holding hands. The mind has its personal space, but the knowing of love can fill our heart.

TRANSITING JUPITER OPPOSITION NATAL MC

On May 11, 2022, transiting Jupiter moves into the sign of Aries. This would suggest that your MC lies in the sign of Libra if you have this opposition. T. Jupiter goes retrograde and moves into the sign of Pisces once again and remains in Pisces from October 29 to December 21, 2022. It then again moves into Aries. This post will interest those with their Midheaven (MC) in the sign of Libra and IC in the sign of Aries.

 

The MC speaks primarily of our occupation, but it also speaks of our status in life, path ahead and objectives that should be followed, as well as in some individuals being noticed by the public or our image to the public through what we have done or accomplished through our lives.

 

Since Libra will be on the MC and Libra is associated with creating balance, harmony, fairness, and justice particularly with partners, these character traits will be what aligns with the MC in Libra. Although we are speaking of the opposition to the MC, we must take into consideration the conjunction with the IC which is opposite the MC. The conjunction is stronger than the opposition and the IC will be in the sign of Aries.

 

Jupiter amplifies, builds, and offers growth, opportunities and good luck to whatever it touches. Even when by challenging aspect it will produce growth and expansion on some level although often not without some effort. The IC and the fourth house deals with the home and family and Jupiter will offer up some development or growth in this area. Perhaps you will add an addition or remodeling your home. The family may grow perhaps through marriage, birth or the joining of family within the same home.

 

This potential may come to light because of Jupiter’s opposition to the MC and of course it’s conjunction with the IC. This might suggest that there is an offer for a higher paying job or business expansion often brought on through an alignment with another person or with the help of someone else. Growth and opportunity may come through these channels offering the potential for opportunities within the home front or with family.

 

The growth within the home or family might take place without the assistance from outside sources or it may happen due to assistance from family. In most cases the potential for growth and expansion stems from outside sources within the sphere of the Midheaven. Opportunities may arise in both areas and if other planetary influences offer insight and help in this direction, this might very well be an opportune time to take advantage of these energies.
