TRANSITING PLUTO CONJUNCT VENUS

This transit of Pluto can apply to the conjunction to natal Venus, to progressed Venus and to Venus in the solar chart.  How to interpret the energies will depend on which house Pluto is transiting and also its natal position along with the house that Venus is located in.

Regardless of where these planets are located, Venus’ energy focuses on relationships and Pluto can have profound effects on the sexual content of this relationship.  Pluto adds passion and intensity to sexual unions and although it signifies a passionate relationship, it will not be without some type of control issues.  Pluto can be very compulsive, even obsessive and seeks domination and power.  Therefore, any relationship which began under this influence will not be a light hearted one.  Your involvement will be all inclusive and the potential for transformation on a deep internal, physical and emotional level is indicative with this combination.

You are likely to have power issues and one may want dominance over the other.  This is not a passive encounter and although the encounter will be heightened to the extreme there may be some struggles along the way.  You will undoubtedly be looking for an intense encounter.  How intense are you willing to go and what boundaries will you put in place?  You might have trouble setting boundaries in this relationship.

If this relationship is already established, you will still have powerful needs and will want instant fulfillment. There are no half measures at this time in a relationship and if you feel as though you are not satisfied with the relationship, be careful not to be swayed by your desires.  It is, however, a time when you can uncover any psychological interference that might need adjustment.  This will be the time that these issues may surface.  Handle the situation in a gentle fashion; remember that sex and love can be sensitive areas and someone can easily become hurt if you do not use tactics and deal with these issues through the heart.

Have a close look at your chart and locate Mars and check to see how it is aspected.  This will either make things easier or more challenging.  Mars provides the impetus and drive required for any union.  If it is in aspect to Venus in the natal chart, this will add to the flavour of this transit.  If Mars is in a challenging position to Pluto, this could mean a challenge.  You should be careful that you are not aligning yourself with the potential for violence.  The whole chart should be carefully delineated, however, for a complete understanding of what is taking place in your life and this relationship, (if there is a current relationship).  Without a relationship this could be a very frustrating time, but this will pass.

DO NOT LOSE YOUR PERSPECTIVE PART I

Do not lose focus of your own personal ideologies of love and compassion especially under harsh circumstances or conditions.

It is said that we are in a transition stage. As with all transition periods, there comes times of turbulence. Share compassion and love with your fellow brothers and sisters and stay focused on the positive. Our blessings and the positive are plentiful if we care to pay attention.

We are in a state of flux but it is important to remember our true journey which is based on love. We can rise above all global events. When we focus on the blessings, which are too numerous to list in a day, we keep our energy levels high above the level that perpetuates fear and hatred.

Live each day in a way that serves you best. Do not allow the actions of others to intrude into your loving world. If we live in fear and hatred, then the actions of those lacking in love have achieved their goals. Peace, contentment, joy.....these cannot be obtained through violence, discontent, or hatred.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated this clearly:

“The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,

begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.

Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.

Through violence you may murder the liar,

but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.

Through violence you may murder the hater,

but you do not murder hate.

In fact, violence merely increases hate.

So it goes.

Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,

adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness:

only light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT THE MIDHEAVEN

This transit marks a culmination period directly related to occupational achievements in life.  With this aspect, many find that they are now embarking on a turning point in their development which was started about 14 years ago when Saturn was in opposition to this position.  Whatever you started then has now reached a stage where your efforts to this point will either start to pay off or fall short.  What efforts did you put forth?  Much depends on how you prepared for this time and if you were dedicated to putting in the necessary effort and energy into your work, it will undoubtedly now provide you with dividends.  On the other hand, if you did not prepare properly or if you did things in halfway measures, taking short cuts to achieve what you set out to do, you may not reap many rewards.

This can be a very productive time in your life.  It is also suggested that you will be called to duty and your obligations will need to be fulfilled or you may not see the results you would like to see.  The time you spent in preparation and the push you have applied will be indicative of the route you must now walk.  This transit requires hard work and the beginning of this period may be quite challenging to get things going, but with perseverance and a steady, persistent effort, it will work out quite well for you.

Regardless of how things turn out, make sure that you take responsibilities for what you have been doing up to this point in time and also for where this productive time will take you.  Although this conjunction only takes place every 29 years, you can move forward with these objectives now and in seven years time, you will once again have the opportunity to advance your project.  However, the emphasis is now and this is a time when you reap what you sow.

Moving forward in reaching your objectives is suggested and picking yourself up from what you might call failure is also highly advised.  If you fall short of reaching your objectives make sure you learn from your previous actions and take life by the horns and begin once again.  This time around utilize the experience you have gained and a frame of mind that will only add to the potential down the road.  It is never too late to start again.  Keeping a positive attitude is always recommended.

This is a productive time in your life where you move forward with new responsibilities and duties that not only apply to your occupation, but also signifies a starting point in the visualization of your goals in life.  A slow but steady rise often follows this initial starting point.  Make sure you look to see how Saturn and the Midheaven are positioned and aspected in your birth chart as this will provide you with information on what you are capable of doing in this life.  Even if these positions are under hard aspect, you can still accomplish you goals.  This only means that you will have to work harder to achieve your success.  With the challenging aspects, the rewards can be quite significant as long as you do not jump or miss any steps along the way.

THE GIFT OF GIVING

As we live our day to day lives, how can we fulfill our own personal needs of filling our hearts with loving warmth?  What can we do for ourselves that might lift us from the heaviness that sometimes surround us?  Does the holiday season that is fast approaching add to this heaviness? 

Many of us spend much time wondering around searching for the perfect gifts for those we love with the hopes that the perfect gift will bring them joy.  It certainly is a special time of year for most of us and although the news has been gloomy as of late, we can fill ourselves with the spirit of various celebrations - Bodhi Day, Advent, Christmas, Pancha Ganapati, Hanukkah, Yalda, Newtonmas, life in general and the list goes on.

Every day should be a time of joy and a time of giving.  We should focus on this rather than spend another minute caught up in what seems to be the endless bombardment of negativity and sorrow.  Do not own the hopelessness and share in the light of giving.  Giving is not just for others.  Be sure to give to yourself, to give to yourself something of meaning whether it be a quiet moment for self reflection or a day of pampering in other ways.  Reward yourself for who you are and recognizing your efforts.

It is a time of giving (and we are not referring to material “things”).  It is a time for love.  It is a time for spending quality time with those that matter most in your life.  It is a time to gather together and share in our blessings and to recognizing all life has to offer.  Share your abounding love and recognize the love that surrounds you.  Find that special place within.  Share your life.  It is a time for all of this and so much more; not because it is a special time of year but because this moment is now, because today is today.  The same will hold true for tomorrow and the day that follows.  Make each and every day a special day to celebrate.
