VOID OFF COURSE CONTINUED (Part Two) what’s appropriate to pursue and what is not)

Many individuals explain that they experience synchronicities relating to the spiritual or mystical when the Moon moves into its VOC motion. 

 

There may be something “other worldly” about this period and this may explain a feeling of impartiality towards material or ordinary living.  As mentioned, people seem less concerned about material living and appear to be ungrounded and out of sorts.  Applying this to rational thinking, we might determine that this could be a time of connecting with our higher self and/or oneness with our source, the whole if you please.  This may sound somewhat religious in its tone but in reality, all things are energy, and this would also be considered energy as a whole with spiritual tendencies not religious.

 

Spirituality does not have to take the path of “in-the-box religion”.  We understand that the route travelled by traditional religion offends some and lifts others.  If this is the path that is comfortable for you, so be it and it is suggested to all readers that they always remain open so that nothing slips through without consideration. 

 

We are all unique and are here to learn our own unique lessons.  Whether you believe you will learn best from traditional religion, nature, spiritualism, books you read, internal dialogue etc., please follow your heart.

 

Whatever path feels right for you, it will include times when it is necessary to look within, time for self-reflection, prayer (particularly of appreciation) and meditation (the act of listening).  Under the influence of the Void of Course energies, it is best to steer clear of any material objectives but enlightenment, on some level, is much more attainable, if the desire is authentic. 

 

Under the influence of the VOC energies, it is not wise to attach ourselves to material objectives, from buying a new vehicle or pursuing financial gains through speculation or risky ventures.  Beginning a business project or asking for a raise or promotion might not be timed favourably under the energies of the VOC energies either. 

 

It is always suggested to wait until the next major aspect makes contact (most Astrologers agree that only major aspects should be used).  In this Astrologer’s opinion, there is not enough data to make an informed decision on whether we should wait until the next minor or major aspects.  Perhaps the disruption, or in contrast, the energies of spirituality and occult leanings are more enhanced and more energetically inclined through the major aspect and this might be the reasoning behind such thinking, although the aspect concerned would be after the VOC period.

 

As mentioned, if you feel that you need to begin something relevant to your life’s situation either from a spiritual perspective or material objective, it is advisable to wait as things often do not work well under these energies.  If you have little choice on the timing, however, have the steps formulated ahead of the VOC energies by someone else.  You may be better off taking a back seat than stepping into the driver’s seat. 

 

The same may apply to legal proceedings.  If at all possible, it is best to wait to entertain such actions or start such endeavors as the potential for some type of setback is often likely when the Moon is VOC.

 

When it comes to make decisions concerning personal matters, it would also be advisable to wait for the VOC period to pass.  Buying a house or deciding to arrange a marriage celebration or pushing ahead with having children would be included in this list. 

 

Most Astrologers believe that the VOC energies are similar to those of retrograde planets (with the exception of Saturn, as its energies in the retrograde cycle work better than when it is direct) as the energies are not in full force or are held back in some way.  This period should be used to formulate a plan of action rather than pushing ahead with your action, similar to Mercury retrograde.

 

It is always suggested that you rely on your own intuition and to not be led by anything or anyone.  Astrology is certainly a viable tool which is at your disposal, but freedom of choice and freewill is the key to our life’s lessons. Move ahead at your own discretion and live your life in accordance to what you feel serves your true purpose is always the best approach.

SHOOT THE RAPIDS

 We sometimes have to take a moment to see the potential that lies right in front of us. 

 

Are we rigid in our thinking or are we open in our thinking? 

 

Are we open enough to broaden our knowledge which allows us to expand? 

 

It can be very comfortable in our present conditions.  We can become complacent due to this comfort and find ourselves stationary or stagnate.  We are content to stay in this comfort zone as we are afraid to “rattle the cage” and many of us fear change….the unknown.

 

What do your visions for tomorrow look like?

 

We must utilize our dreams and push towards new growth, even though if the current circumstance feels so very comfortable.  Living in the here and now is our ideal goal but being in the moment does not mean that we have to stay in the same place.  We always have choices along the way and can utilize whatever our current life is offering us at anytime if we wish to take advantage.  We might have to push a little, however, to realize it is necessary to keep moving ahead.

 

Life unfolds, and we do not have to do anything, yet why not expand and take advantage of all that is available? 

 

We are here to experience and the choices are in our hands, even when we feel as though we were being swept away by the current.  How we react in our journey is a choice.  We have the full ability to channel our thoughts and expectations into a direction that can help us achieve what we need to.

 

It is perfectly normal to experience pain, but we should not give up and wallow in this pain.  Push through.  Everyone will experience challenging events and issues.  It is part of the life experience, but we decide how long we wish wallow.  Experiences are lessons.  Learn from them and grow. 

 

Prepare for the future but live in the now.  We are riding the current of life but that does not mean we cannot pick up a paddle and help with the journey, just do not try to battle the current.   

 

Dream your dreams and set your goals.  Without goals what is the point of pushing.  Strive for something and reach out beyond what is in front of you.  Push yourself to expand and learn.  Be open to whatever the outcome may be.  When we are not flexible with our focus, we may hit large barriers.  Become farsighted.  See the barriers ahead and do not ride blindly.  Grab your paddle and let’s see what lies ahead.  Let’s shoot the rapids!

TRANSITING PLUTO CONJUNCT VENUS

 This post on the transit of Pluto can apply to the conjunction to natal Venus, progressed Venus and Venus in the solar chart.  How we interpret the energies will depend on which house Pluto is transiting, its natal position and the house that Venus is in within the current chart.  

 

Is this aspect currently in your chart?

 

Regardless of where these planets are located in the Astrology chart, Venus’ energy focuses on relationships and Pluto can have profound effects on the sexual content of these relationships.  Pluto adds passion and intensity to sexual unions and although it signifies a passionate relationship, it will not be without some type of energy evolved around control issues.  Pluto can be very compulsive, even obsessive and seeks domination and power.  Therefore, any relationship which began under this influence will not be a light-hearted one.  Your involvement will be all inclusive and the potential for transformation on deep internal, physical and emotional levels are indicative of this combination.

 

You are likely to have power issues and one of the partners may want dominance over the other. This is not a passive encounter and although the encounter will be heightened to the extreme, there may be some struggles along the way.  You will undoubtedly be looking at an intense encounter.  

 

How intense are you willing to go and what boundaries will you put in place?  

 

You might have trouble setting boundaries with this relationship.

 

If this relationship is already established, you will still have powerful needs and will want instant fulfillment. There are no half measures under this influence in a relationship and if you feel as though you are not satisfied with the relationship, be careful not to be swayed by your desires.  It is, however, a time when you can uncover any psychological interference that might need adjustment.  Under the influence of this aspect this may well be the time that these issues surface.  Handle the situation in a gentle fashion.  Remember that sex and love can be sensitive areas and your partner can easily become hurt if you do not use tactics and deal with these issues from your heart.

 

Have a close look at your chart and locate Mars to see how Mars is aspected.  This aspect will either make things easier or more challenging.  Mars provides the motivation and drive required for any union.  If it is in aspect to Venus in the natal chart, this will add to the flavour of this transit.  If Mars is in a challenging position to Pluto, this could mean some type of confrontation or test. 

 

I would be amiss if I did not note that you should be careful that you are not aligning yourself with the potential for violence.  I am not suggesting that there will be violence but need to give a warning. 

 

The whole chart should be carefully delineated to provide a complete understanding of what is taking place in your life and with this relationship, (if there is a current relationship).  Without a relationship this could be a very frustrating time, but this too will pass.

HEALTHY LIFE CHOICES

 It is said that everything stems from the heart.  Should we then look within our heart (emotions) first when dealing with adverse experiences in life which have evolved into physical conditions or “dis-ease”?

 

In what ways could we change our lives or our perspectives to alter less than ideal conditions now apparent in the physical body? 

 

What can we do from a purely mental perspective to re-examine our lives? 

 

What changes need to materialize to have a productive physical effect on our body? 

 

Are we happy?  Are we content? 

 

What can we do to change the direction of our life if changes need to take place? 

 

How will these changes affect those around us and what can we do from a personal perspective to make changes that not only make us feel better emotionally but also help those around us to find peace as well?

 

These are questions that we can certainly reflect on. 

 

If someone closely involved in our day to day lives is being beckoned to make changes yet they ignore these calls, it may be time to help them see what is required.  If they still resist, then it may be time for us to do some house cleaning.  Those that are holding us back and creating conditions in our lives that are not in line with our journey cannot be allowed to stand in our way.  It is best to think of what we need to live a healthy, fulfilling life. 

 

It is not self-centred or egotistical to care for our own needs.  We cannot fulfil our life’s journey if we have not cared for or taken care of our own needs.  Sometimes our journeys go in different directions as we progress and grow. 

 

If we have allowed a disease to progress unchecked, we should never hesitate to seek professional assistance for guidance and healing.   By making conscious changes in our lives and with care to heal the disease, we will have the tools we need to heal and grow, as this is part of our life’s journey.  Our mental construct always plays a significant role in our health, and we can never move out of challenging health related matters if we do not believe we can change things.  Focus and alignment are key to overcoming all matters that stand in the way of our growth and healing.

 

There are always avenues to pursue, but the first step that needs to be taken always come from within.  Ask your guides for assistance and program your dreams to reveal any special points of interest that will help you along the way.  Remember you are never alone in physical terms and certainly never alone in spiritual terms.  There is always assistance available; all we need to do is ask but then we must also listen to the response that may come to us intuitively or through signs in our immediate environment.  Remember, nothing is co-incidence. 

 

Reaffirm your belief in yourself and know that the strength you seek is already a part of who you are.  You are stronger than you think and nothing that is presented along life’s road stands in the way unless we allow this or believe this.

NORTH NODE IN TAURUS

 If this is your first North Node post read, we suggest you read our introduction post on November 30, 2020, www.holmastrology.com/apps/blog/show/49548847-north-node-in-aries to get an understanding of the overall influence of the North and South Nodes.  It will assist you in understanding the information we are about to provide for the North Node in Taurus. 

 

With the North Node in the fixed, earth sign of Taurus, your objectives in this life tie closely to achieving material success.  There is a drive or should be a drive to attain security through building a financial base that will withstand all adversity and gather momentum as you mature.  This is not to say that you are here primarily to reach monetary success, but you are actually here to learn what success and security teaches.

 

Money is a great teacher and there are many lessons that it will instill upon us.  Some lessons will be challenging, and others will be rewarding, but there is no denying that money has a great impact on our material lives.  Perhaps part of this life’s lesson is brought forward and expressed when we utilize the act of giving?  Perhaps Taurus North Node is here to learn about shortages and how to live without attaining financial rewards.  What will the lessons be in this life and how will the objectives be pursued?

NEW MOON in Aries, APRIL 11, 2021

 Our next New Moon falls in the sign of Aries at 22 degrees on April 11, 2021. 

 

Allowing for a three-degree orb of influence, this placement is quite active making a conjunction with Venus (25 degrees Aries), a sextile to Mars (22 degrees Gemini), a sextile to Jupiter (25 degrees Aquarius) and a semi-sextile to Neptune (21 degrees Pisces). 

 

As New Moon’s speak of beginnings and fresh starts, when in Aries, this would imply that an aggressive push would be centered around the potential for romantic involvement or beginning an enterprise among other potentials that would be more clearly defined within the placements of these planets and their connections to your personal natal chart.

 

The conjunction to Venus and sextile to Mars certainly points in the direction of a new relationship.  Venus is representative of love and affection while Mars can also speak of sexual sparks and excitement.  The conjunction brings an emphasis to an already heightened experience and the sextile suggests an opportunity to build on this feeling.

 

The sextile from Jupiter and semi-sextile to Neptune suggest that this relationship, if this is what these energies are focused on, brings about feelings of abundance and growth through this potential and Neptune brings a quality of spirituality into the equation and someone being in the right place at the right time.

 

Pisces can make this almost magical, and you will have to watch for overloading the emotions with the potential of an important relationship.  If this is not a love affair, then a person of interest may be what this speaks about.  Someone that means a lot to you and can help you push ahead in your endeavors, especially if connected to insight and inspiration or perhaps the psychic realm of things.

BE BOLD

In the face of adversity what is your best defense? 

 

Do you use your flight response?  Do you seek shelter from aggression and/or attack? 

 

Do you use the fight response?  Do you use aggression to protect yourself?

 

It is said that fighting aggression with aggression only creates more of the same. 

 

If we are attacked (emotionally, mentally, or physically) what then is the best approach? 

 

We certainly have to stand up for ourselves when need be and use our inner strength to create a solution from the issue at hand. 

 

Sometimes life seems to come at us from all directions, and we are forced to find that inner strength and find new ways to look old issues.  Through our own determination and focus, we can reach within and find the strength to not only carry on through these events, but to rise above them.

 

We can find strength that we never knew existed.  We gain personal empowerment when we allow ourselves to rise above.  There is sufficient strength within, however, do not feel any less competent if you reach out to others and higher sources for assistance.  With or without assistance, we emerge stronger, more resilient, and ready to forge ahead with our heads held high.

 

We are the masters of our destiny regardless of what stands in the way.  We are much more powerful than we realize.  The only thing that stands between defeat and success is our attitude and our focus.  Through love of self, control of attitude and positive focus (and a touch of determination), we rise above life’s conditions that once seemed insurmountable.

 

Recognize your strengths and abilities but accept a hand when it is extended to you.  Fulfill your ambitions with an open mind.
