The Pain of Anxiety

If you Google “Anxiety”, it is defined as a nervous disorder characterized by a state of excessive uneasiness and apprehension, typically with compulsive behavior or panic attacks. 

Anxiety is experienced by everyone at some point in their lives.  The general anxiety, we become anxious with given situations but we can learn to control this emotion.  There is also Anxiety disorders.  The actual causes of anxiety disorders are not fully understood but progress is being made. 

We are writing this post with anxiety as an emotion response in mind not Anxiety Disorders. 

Many of us before beginning the journey of self study are unaware of our ability to emotionally step back from situations.  We own every experience that we happen upon in life.  In the beginning of self study, we are unaware that thoughts passing through our minds do not have to be owned and do not have to be taken personally.  Unfortunately, without fully understanding, we choose to relate to every thought and every emotion we experience and we can run with these.  We take them on and own them.  We see them as part of the self.

Through self study and personal work, it becomes our goal to gain control of our reactions to, and thoughts about, situations before we become fully involved emotionally.  Unfortunately, once we are fully involved in a panic attack or the feelings of anxiety, logical thinking or rational is an extremely difficult state to obtain.

Anxiety and its associated behaviours and thought processes are difficult to control in the beginning.  Without forethought, we allow our minds to manifest our thoughts and emotions into something larger than the anticipated events or actual events truly are.  These unchecked emotions and thought processes create excessive worry and allow anxiety to manifest.  This allowance gives our negative reactions and negative anticipations the illusion of being real.  Again, we remind you we are referring to basic anxiety and not an anxiety disorder.

What benefit is there to anticipating a possible stressful or negative event or outcome?  Does worry eliminate the event?  Does anticipation change the outcome?

In reality, we only have this very moment that we are living.  The past is behind us and the future never comes.  This very moment, this very instant is the only real thing that exists. 

Realizes that no amount of worry or anxiety can change our future is a very large step forward.  Before we can channel our less than positive thoughts in alternate directions, however, we have to realize that our thought process is our own created.  What do you prefer to create.....a positive outlook and therefore a positive future or a heavy negative outlook and therefore a less than ideal future (our focus does create our reality). 

If this moment feels negative, review your attitude.  If you are in a grateful state, you will not feel that this moment in time is terrible.  A grateful state creates positive energy. 

Anxiety builds strength to flourish through our focus on it and leaving this emotion unchecked. 

Channel your thoughts in controlled directions.  The best approach is to dismiss the ideas as non-essential and irrelevant thoughts.  It is imperative to do this prior to allowing them to grow out of proportion.  The more we practice gratitude, the faster we recognize sparks of negativity.  The earlier we recognize the spark of negativity, the earlier we can smother the spark before it becomes a fire of anxiety.

Channel your focus on what is good in your life no matter how challenging because we all eventually become consumed by what we focus on.  The Idea is to change our focus.  Focus on all that is good and calming and brings happiness into the focus of our minds.  It WILL take work, but with persistence we can remove the negative ideas and worries from our focus and in so doing, we will create more concentration on what truly matters in our lives.

We will eventually become proficient at noticing these invasive thoughts in their infancy and break the habit of nurturing them into fruition.  We can do this.  Live in the moment for it is all we truly have.  We have the ability to rise above anxiety and to channels our thoughts to gratitude.  We deserve peace of mind.

Saturn Return in Astrology

Since many of our readers are between the ages of 24-35, we thought we would share our thoughts on the Saturn Return.  As many of you are aware, the natal or birth chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of birth.  From that moment on, the planets continue on their rotational path.  As the planets continue on their path, they are referred to as transiting planets.  All of the planets eventually return to their placement when we were born, but the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) take a long time to complete their cycle.  Saturn takes between 27-29 years to complete its cycle.  Uranus takes 84 years and the other two take much longer and we do not live long enough to experience their returns.

Saturn (which will be discussed at a later date in greater detail) has a profound impact in our lives.  It produces situations that can be stressful (if we so allow) and presents us with lessons whenever it becomes activated in our charts.  Saturn is the teacher and it presents us with a crossroad in our development.  We are forces to take a good look at our lives and make any needed changes.  These times can be very trying and can last a significant period of time, especially if there are other planetary forces at work during the same period.

We have touched a little on houses in previous posts and will go deeper into these areas of life also at a later date, but depending on which house Saturn is located in your birth chart and what aspects it is making to other planets, these particular areas of life (houses) will become activated.  The intensity and duration depends largely on the other planets that are stimulating the area and how long they transit and what aspects (aspects are angles between planets) they make to each other.

Entering the Foothills of Knowledge Part II

We are continuing from our post on Monday with our look at this journey we have embarked on

As mentioned in Monday’s post life as we once knew it, although it may not have been long ago, now seems quite separated from our current life.  Our world is slowly opening up on different channels and knowledge is filtering through.  We are beginning to conceive the oneness of life and are aware that there is something bigger than self.  Call this God, call it love, call it our source, call it what you will, but we recognize its existence.

Although we feel as though we are completely through that threshold, we also understand that we are actually only a few steps in and there is so much more ahead of us.  Relinquishing ego interference becomes the primary focus and in understanding how ego works, we filter through concepts we have held about ourselves and life in general.  We are gaining a vantage point that was not available before and using the information learned to further our evolutionary growth.

It is a wonderful journey and we are at the early stages.  Imagine what lies beyond that next corner.  Actually do not allow your imagination to venture down the road.  It is totally new.  Allowing anticipation and “wanting” only serves to slow down progress. 

We understand that we will learn in our own way and only when we are ready, regardless of where we are and what we think we are capable of attaining.

The path is brand new to us although well-trodden.  This journey feels totally new yet at the same time so very familiar.  Understanding these concepts is a little foreign to us initially, as in earth terms we have great difficulty explaining anything that we are experiencing as it is not of this world, yet totally connected to it.  Definition of the experience is so very challenging with our earthly limitations.

Walk along the road that is now before you (yet “ahead” and “behind” is not a clear description either).  It is an exploration of new concepts and understanding that is familiar and yet new at the same time.  Trying to define this only leaves us lost in translation so we will leave it as such.

Understand that the road we now walk has many others on its path.  We must embrace and enjoy our place along that road, and realize how wonderful and adventurous that road is.  We are fortunate to be at the stage we are at (not matter what stage it is), as there are countless others that may still be sleep.

We can express ourselves by being the light that now shines brighter in our very core.  We are to allow that knowledge, that understanding to drape us.  We do not have to act in any particular way as what radiates outward is only an expression of what is taking place within.  If we find that the outer expression seems to waver, do not be dismayed.  Letting go and moving forward is a struggle for the ego.  Its expression can be released on many levels.  Do not identify with it, however; and do not make it your own.

There is no particular way to respond to what is taking hold in our lives, although it does encompass the main ingredients of love and compassion.  We simply live our lives and enjoy every minute.  Understand and accept this.  We must live our lives in pure wonderment of what life is for each of us.  It is our life to experience and share.  It is our life to enjoy.  Reflect the pure force radiating within. 

Let your pure core flow, and do not worry what others may think.  You are who you are.  That is that.  BE!

Transiting Saturn Conjunct the Ascendant

Transiting Saturn has been hovering around the 0 degree Sagittarius since the end of 2014.  It goes back as far as 28 degrees 17 minutes into the sign of Scorpio at the end of July before it returns direct in early August (the 2^nd).and by the end of 2015 it will have moved forward by as much as ten degrees into the sign of Sagittarius.  If you have your Ascendant within these degrees, you will have Saturn conjuncting this placement for much of the time period mentioned.

Saturn conjunct the Ascendant can be a very trying time.  Many individuals will experience times of strife, setbacks, challenging conditions and delays during much of this aspect.  The period involved will vary depending on the sign and degree of your Ascendant.  It should be noted that Saturn’s strongest affects are often felt when it is 2 degrees past your Ascendant position.  This differs from other planetary influences in that the most powerful influences are when they are exact to the degree.  An example of this would be with an Ascendant of 2 degrees Sagittarius, the strongest impact would be when Saturn reaches 4 degrees of Sagittarius.

Saturn is a powerful agent for change, structure, discipline and challenges in your life.  It often makes things rather trying when it touches areas of your chart and the areas of life affected may feel a little restricted or delayed.  The degree of irritation varies from one chart to another, depending on the condition of Saturn in the natal chart.  Any other planetary influences in the birth chart being transited by planetary links will also play a role in how Saturn’s return will influence you. 

Since the Ascendant deals primarily with personal issues, (some out in the open, others more private), relationships and changes within your life’s structures are areas of concern or challenged during this period.  Saturn seems to test your resolve and challenges you to review your life’s conditions.  It pushes you to make honest evaluations on where you are at present and what you may want to do in years to come.

Saturn restricts, delays, and makes life challenging, but it also offers rewards for your hard hard work.  It provides structure and creates a solid foundation in your life as it passes across your Ascendant.  It may present challenging conditions that you will have to deal with and alter or change completely, but if you abide by the rules and do not cut corners, Saturn’s influence will produce solid and rewarding outcomes down the road. 

Whatever house Saturn is found in your birth chart, this area will also be under the same scrutiny and challenging conditions and these areas of life will also be affected as it crosses your Ascendant.  For example if Saturn is in the tenth house in the birth chart, the transit of Saturn may affect your employment and also your status in life as well as relationships with people of authority.  Because the seventh house is opposite the Ascendant, you might notice challenging conditions to your marriage partnership and also any potential partnerships involved in business related manners.

Saturn obstructs and produces times where you will be put to the test, filtering through the areas of life that are highlighted.  It will challenge you to change what needs changing and delete anything that hinders personal growth in your life. 

Be careful not to become depressed during these trying times and rest assured that it is only a temporary state of affairs.  The process might be difficult but these steps are necessary for you to move in the intended direction of your life’s path for a positive outcome.

Entering the Foothills of Knowledge Part 1

Moving beyond the confines of what was once thought of as comfortable, we realize that the door closes behind us once we walk through.  It is almost impossible to go back to where we once where, knowing what we know now.  For most of us, it seemed to take a long time to get through that door.  Upon entering, we left behind our past truths and the knowledge that we took for granted.  Most of our past truths we followed blindly and it felt comfortable until we started to question.

Our past life felt comfortable because it felt normal.  These conditions were cultivated over our lifetime.  As we began to realize that there actually was a door to a different way of thinking and a different way of living, we realized that once we crossed that threshold that what once was would no longer have much relevance. 

The material world (which is one definition although it encompasses much more) was a place of comfort simply because we did not know anything else existed.  We always questioned or felt that there was more to life than the mundane day-to-day existence but for so long we were complacent enough to stifle our inquisitiveness.

Upon taking that first step, we began to acquaint ourselves with new ideologies and concepts, such as the ability to create our own world and manifestation.  We became more comfortable in this new skin that we have taken as our own.  The fact is, it is our own skin.  We belong in this place and we can now call this home.  We are more aware of other dimensions of reality.  We each experience our own gifts but we all experience an awakening that is taking place on a very deep level.

We must always be satisfied in our progress.  How we once thought and what our beliefs once were have changed significantly.  We no longer feel victimized by life and are beginning to understand the important part we have in the creation of our world.  We know that our thoughts, over time, create and materialize our reality.   We also are quite aware that there is guidance available if we chose to ask for it.

Rise Above the Clouds

Coincidence?

It is suggested that we pay particular attention to the significant events that transpire in our daily lives.  This may refer to someone coming into our lives for a specific reason or an incident taking place that somehow seems co-incidental to that which is transpiring in our lives in this particular moment. 

Have you noticed that there are times in life when you are speaking to someone and having a relatively normal conversation when out of nowhere they just seem to say something that makes you stop for a moment and ponders its deeper meaning?  This can come at any time and from anyone.  It does not have to be during a deep conversation.  In many cases, the life changing information comes out of the blue and is rarely expected.  It may even come from someone that you would never expect it to come from, such as a child or passing stranger.

It is important to remain open to these valued moments, but at the same time, we cannot look for them.  They usually happen when they are least expected, but somehow when we receive the information, we know that what is offered to us has great meaning, far more than the messenger realizes. 

Sometimes these “openings”, if you will, do come during deep conversation with informed individuals and when we are learning something of significance, we know it on an instinctual level.  Most times the information fueling our awakenings is via higher realms and the messenger is not even aware of the significance of their message.  The information comes from many channels and on many different levels.

As mentioned, it is wise to not get caught up in trying to initiate these moments.  They will happen when the time is appropriate and not a minute before.

In most cases, no one else hearing the conversation will experience the same enlightenment and even if we try to translate or restate the message to others, it is a wasted effort as the message was meant for us and us alone.  Sharing this experience or information is fine, but certainly not necessary.

Many will define these brief moments as coincidence and they will often just let them pass by with little focus.  There is no such thing as a coincidence in reality.  Almost without exception every event in our lives has some level of importance.  We should never allow the experience and the information to simply pass us by.  Of course the actions taken during these relevant times in our lives are always up to us.  We can deal or not deal with the situations and the information as we choose. 

In order to continually move forward in our journey, when someone or something (information) enters our lives regardless of how short or long the duration, in it beneficial to pay heed.  If we truly listen to what others have to say to us (so many individuals are busy during conversations thinking about what their responses will be instead of truly digesting the information offered), we will continue to grow.  Each and every conversation we participate in has valuable information for us.  Nothing is by chance.

Sun in Gemini

The Sun moves into the sign of Gemini on the 22 of May in 2015.  Gemini is a mutable sign and rules the third house.  Those that have the Sun in Gemini, the Ascendant in Gemini and Planets located in the third house will resonate with some of the following characteristics.  If you find that some of these qualities do not apply to you, there will be other strong influences in your birth chart that moderate some of the Gemini characteristics or which may overpower them.

Those with strong Gemini in their birth charts are known to be versatile and adaptable and find it easy to move from one topic or event to another.  They enjoy being on the move and love change and variety in their lives.  It takes a lot to keep a typical Gemini entertained for long periods of time.  If you are trying to find something that stimulates their attention, you will need to activate their busy minds with things that arouse their intellect.

Gemini love to explore different facets of life.  They are adventurous and easily stimulated but have a short attention span, so you will have to keep them entertained with many topics to hold their attention for extended periods.  They need stimuli and variety in life or they become bored.  They are busy people and love to stay on the go most of the time.  Travel and education are areas of life that hold their attention.  You will enjoy time spent with them while on vacations and sharing learned knowledge through communication.

Communication is the key to much of their happiness and the majority of Geminians have some knowledge on a variety of subjects.  The only problem is that they scatter their energies so much that they rarely have deep knowledge on anything specific.  They like to skim the surface on many subjects and can be quite knowledgeable on many varied subjects.  They know a little about almost anything.  If they were able to keep their focus on one subject for an extended period of time, they would be amazed at how much information they could gather and how extensive this knowledge could become.

Geminians’ beliefs are subject to change. 

Those with strong Gemini in their charts can begin to read a book, be quite entertained by its contents and find the information fascinating but it is not always that they will complete this book.  If something else draws their attention, they can easily be swayed off topic and move to something in a completely different direction from what they were doing just prior.  They truly believe that variety is the spice of life.  These individuals make great companions if you want variety and adventure in your daily life.  You will not have a chance to become bored and you can spend much of the conversation time listening to what they have to say about most any subject.

Life has to be exciting and stimulating and should be adventurous and even extreme at times.  If this is how life is, they would be quite happy.  They are intellectual and love conversations on many levels.  They will never be short on words or information and usually retain quite a bit of information during these intermittent explorations. 

Gemini is a very inquisitive sign and they are also very interested in their own personal lives.  Many will read this post, partly for entertainment and partly from being inquisitive and wanting to learn more about themselves.

Gemini people are changeable but they are also adaptable to these changes.  They are ready for almost anything and will be willing to venture far and wide both physically and mentally to learn more of what life has to offer.  Geminians will be quite willing to share themselves and their lives with those that matter to them.

How Can We Help?

As innocent and pure of heart that we may be, it has to be acknowledged that there are dangers in this world.  There is always the potential for violence and disruption to the relative calm we experience in our day to day routines.  There are individuals who are violent in nature and certainly lost in their perceptions.  Many of these individuals have never had experiences of true bliss and tranquility that many of us experience due to our practices and efforts.

We are very fortunate that our experiences have opened the doorway to greater understanding and these experiences offer peace in our lives. 

All too often violent individuals practice less than ideal behaviours often brought forward from childhood.  Unfortunately, they live a life of turmoil and sorrow.  This has been the “normal” experience and they know little else.

Some reach out to our world looking for support and love only to find aggression, offensive conditions and violent behaviours which are regularly directed towards them.  How can we help these individuals and lead them into the light of consciousness without putting ourselves into harm’s way? 

We have the potential to change their lives through volunteer work, counselling, financial assistance or recognition and kindness. 

Through loving examples we can prove that there is more to life than their “normal”.  That people do care about others.  Without compassion and caring, these individuals could live out their entire lives living in fears of others, bathed in anxiety and knowing nothing more than to fight to survive.  Many end up in jail for crimes committed and violent behaviour.  This environment does nothing to break their understanding of fighting to survive.

Hatred and fear does not correct anger and violence.  Violence does not solve violence.  If we had the opportunity to show love and caring to someone who has never experience love and caring, would you seize to the moment? 

We can help move these individuals out of their learned behaviours simply by being an example of something different.  Be that example.  Provide hope and love to those that do not believe that these gifts exist.

Inner Transiting Planets in Astrology

There are some Astrologers that write daily posts concerning the inner transiting planets and their affect on your overall development.  They speak in general terms on how they affect you in your day-to-day life and exaggerate their actions.  These references are far too general and without knowing the houses of involved, it is impossible to speak of the area of life influenced.  These transiting planets are relatively neutral in their actions within your horoscope.

Mercury, Venus and Mars all move approximately one-half to two degrees per day.  The orb of significant influence in a chart is about 5-6 degrees, approximately 3-4 degrees applying and then 2-3 degrees when separating.  Therefore, the influence of each planet is roughly 2-3 weeks at best and accordingly, the strongest influence would be one to two days.

In order for these planets to have an impact in your life, they would have to cross one of the angles, (the ascendant or midheaven and to a lesser degree the IC and DC).  They would also have an impact if you had a Stellium or several planets in the same degree.  Without this, their influence would be very fleeting in nature and they generally pass with little affect noticed.

Mercury goes retrograde usually 4 times each years and it lasts about 2-3 weeks while in orb and then goes direct again. 

Venus does not go retrograde very often.  Venus went retrograde on December 21, 2013, and turned direct again on the last day of January 2014.  Venus will not go retrograde again until July of 2015. 

Mars rarely goes retrograde, but moves into retrograde motion on April 2 of this year and remains in retrograde motion until it goes direct on May 21, 2015.  Mars will not go into retrograde motion again until April of 2016.

During these retrograde periods with any of these planets, their affects will be experienced for a longer period of time and usually it is somewhat strengthened.  The influence is felt or experienced again when it crosses the same degree while moving direct.  If the angles in your chart are in these degrees, you will experience the energies of these planets more intensely but once again for a relatively short lived time frame. 

Once again when these retrograde planets pass over a Stellium or planets in the same degree, their influence will again become known to the individual concerned.

These influences are generally minor in nature except when in retrograde and rarely used in comparison to long term transits.  The outer planets, because of their slow movement, can be felt for years and have a great impact in our lives. 

Transiting Mars and sometimes the transiting Sun are used as timers for major events linked to the outer transits or progressions.  In order to ascertain accurate trends and occurrences in your life, an accurate birth time is essential.  The time of birth indicates the placements of the planetary positions in each house at birth.  Transits determine potential events.  Therefore, when you read your daily horoscope on the internet, understand that this is an extreme case of generalization.  These horoscopes deal strictly with common character traits, at best, for any given Sun sign.

The Road to Discovery, Part II

Today we are continuing from Friday with our looking at our road to discovery.  As mentioned we slowly begin to recognize the difference between our imagination and actual messages of truth from our higher self, our guides, our source, etc.

Most of us find it difficult to have patience.  We will need to stay open and to let the information and awareness enter as it will.  Once we make the decision to continue on this quest for truth and the door opens, which it will, be patient.  There will be no turning back. 

The biggest lesson that many individuals on this route has to learn is patience.  Nothing happens until it is meant to happen.  We cannot rush things.  One thing is for sure the truth is available to everyone if they choose to open that door, no exceptions. 

There are many living the life of illusion.  The material world has them caught up completely and they see nothing else beyond that.  Because of this, there will be days that we feel so alone, longing for someone to share our wealth of information with.  However as we progress, we will naturally draw others to us with similar interests and belief structures as our own.

It is a magnificent journey we have embarking on.  Periodically take time to stop and realize just how fortunate you to have your awareness. 

It does not, however, always work in ways that are easy.  As a matter of fact it is a challenging road, especially silencing the ego and keeping your focus on the greater good.  In the beginning during our major adjustments to our lives and during the discovering period of our qualities that we might not like too much, it is especially challenging.  With practice and change and when it becomes clear that the ego is the only thing that makes us feel uncomfortable, it is much easier to understand our road and the why behind our life’s journey.

Stay alert.  Live in the moment.  Always enjoy life and the opportunities it offers.  Realize that gratitude and enjoyment is a choice.  Help others as much as possible.  Love completely.  Be contentment.  These are the true gifts of living our earthly existence.  The door is wide open all you have to do is take that first step.

Astrological Oracle Readings May 23, 2015

Holm Astrology is offering Astrology Oracle readings at Positive Pathways Barrie on Saturday, May 23 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. by appointment.

"Oracle" is from Latin "to speak". Oracle cards are an inspirational tool and speak to the recipient of information that is pertinent only to them. Holm Astrology's Oracle Card readings are based on astrological information provided by the cards. These readings are not based on your birth information as an Astrology chart report would be. The cards herald messages from your higher self and/or guides as revealed by the cards that turn up and their house position in the specific Astrological layout.

The readings are 40 minutes in length and they are being offered at a discounted rate of $50 for the readings at Positive Pathways. A portion of this fee will be donated to Positive Pathways not-for-profit organization to purchase items for the Children in Peru.

The Road to Discovery Part I

Without imagination, inspiration would not have a catalyst.  Artists use their imagination to create magnificent pieces of work.  This is the starting point.  It is where the idea begins to manifest.  When it comes to imagination and psychic potential, the gap is very narrow.  As a result, it is important to examine our messages to ensure that we are not putting our mental thoughts into the message.  Are we receiving from our mind, our imagination or both?

How do you tell the difference? 

When spirit is speaking through us or our higher self is communicating to us, for most of us, the communication differs from the ego.  Again, the receipt of information is different from how we carry on a conversation with ourselves.  When we use our imagination and pay attention to how we converse internally, the words are normally defined in time frames no different from a communication between two people.  We hear the words and each one is separated by time.  A sentence or a thought may take seconds and sometimes even minutes to unfold, while communication on the spiritual level happens without any passage of time.  Everything is said and completely understood in a spit second.  It is as though it happens in an instant and even if the process should otherwise be drawn out, you understand what is being conveyed immediately.  Please remember, we are speaking in general terms and this may vary from one individual to another.

This is part of the problem when we are hearing spirit speak to us as in most cases it sounds like our own inner voice, but if you truly examine the message there actually is no voice, as words and voice are earthly and message from spirit cannot be described as “earthly”.  Because the messages are not of this place, it is almost impossible to describe them with words. 

Similarly, when we try to describe something that we are seeing, it is not of this place so although we see it, in general we do not see spirit as we see everyday visuals, although again with some individuals there are exceptions even to this.  Sometimes we see spirit as flashes or movements.  Once again, it is almost impossible to define because when we say flashes or movement it is not as we would terms these things in our earthly way of expressing them, but there are no clearer words to describe it.

There are some individuals who do see spirit in forms that are very much like that which we see when we see people of this earth, although generally there is something different that helps us distinguish between material people and spiritual energy. 

Generally, some of us see spirit as a bluish material or cloud-like.  Others have described them as orbs, round circles and bluish in colour.  Still others see a cloudy material as thought the room is smoky with the energy of these higher sources.

Their words are direct, yet it is very subtle, almost not noticeable at all.  As a matter of fact, in general, the whole experience of psychic phenomena is extremely subtle and almost unnoticeable.  Of course, the experiences can vary somewhat from person to person.

  

Address all conditions entering your life with some type of questioning.  It is healthy to have some scepticism and not to follow anything blindly.  We are our own best guides, and we will learn in our own way and in our own time.  One thing is for certain, you cannot rush the experience.  All things happen as they should and they will never happen before we are ready for them, even if you believe the contrary.

Transits Within Transits in Astrology

In the past we discussed the importance of transits linked to our natal chart.  It is also important to add that transits that are connected to other transits also play an important role in our lives.  For instance we have had in the recent past, Pluto transiting in the sign of Capricorn square to transiting Uranus in the sign of Aries.  Currently these contacts are out by about 3 degrees which is still relevant and will intensify and be within one and one-half degrees of one another towards the end of 2015.  They were more tightly intertwined particularly towards the end of 2014-through to early spring of this year.

Uranus and Pluto together are a powerful force and are suggestive of a drive towards the new, through transformation that runs deep into our very psyche.  It reaches our core and will push out issues from the past that have been dormant or pushed aside.  This contact will ask that we deal with these buried issues appropriately now.  In many cases these issues have had effects on us for much of our lives and had their origin in our childhood.

Uranus with Pluto will push these issues out into the open for viewing from a new perspective and they will force us to move forward and usually in an aggressive approach so we will act.  These issues will stem from deep inside and need to be acknowledged and then released so that a new approach from the ashes of what has been left behind can become our building block for the new voyage forward.  The lesson may be difficult and it may be challenging to address but it is a necessity that we look at the issues with clear insight and see where they stem from so we can move ahead with our lives.  In some cases these issues have been a hindering factor and we need to put them to rest and in their appropriate place.

Uranus tells us it is time to move in a new direction and open our eyes to the truth.  It wants us to venture forward without fear of ridicule even if others feel that we are behaving somewhat erratic and out of our normal character.  Pluto reaches deep within for the answers and pushes us to release ourselves from the grips of the past.  The changes could be classified as revolutionary and once we move forward and past our preconceived notions of what was into what is, the transformations can have profound effects on our being and once accepted can also be permanent and fixed into our psyche.

The changes are positive in their nature although often very disruptive, but they are required changes.  Digging up the truth might be challenging but it is necessary in order to move beyond any limitations that they were imposing.  Now is the time to dig deep and find the resolutions that we need.

To understand the areas that might be influenced in your life, look to see which houses transiting Pluto and transiting Uranus are moving through.  You will also have to check to see which natal houses Uranus and Pluto are located in.  These will all be areas that will be affected.  Remember that if these transiting planets are forming an aspect to the natal planet, it will activate any aspects connected to the natal planets involved in the transit.  For example, if transiting Uranus is in conjunction with natal Jupiter and natal Jupiter is also in aspect to Saturn and Mars, the effects of transiting Uranus will not be complete until it has finished making aspects not only to Jupiter but also to Saturn and Mars.

The Mind's Focus

In our quest for understanding, it is important to realize the part our mind’s focus plays.  The mind tends to create not only our immediate surroundings but also the events that show up in our future.  In other words, we are constantly creating the next adventure through unconscious awareness and conscious focus.  Our thoughts, expectations and attitude have GREAT power!

This unfolding process in its infancy always begins with our perception and gradually materializes one step at a time.  We are molding our tomorrows by the mental building blocks and foundations we are pouring today.  Belief structures manifest our reality and our expectations materialize over time.

This might seem far-fetched when we begin to question the nature of reality, but over time we begin to realize that this is in fact the case.  Our expectation slowly unfolds over time.  It is not that we think about something and then it materializes instantaneously, although the potential eventually at some point in time might be just that.  We gradually manifest many of our realities.  Belief structure plays an important role in this process, so it is important to always place our focus in positive areas.

We draw to us what we concentrate on.  It is as simple as that.  If we stray from our positive focus and concentrate on any form of negativity, we are slowly manifesting this focus into our life.  The creative process is an unfolding story and we have the decision on which course of action, or mental focus we are to follow. 

If you make mistakes and repeated tell yourself that you are stupid, even if only as a reaction, you are programming yourself to believe that you are stupid.  This WILL have repercussions over time.  As mentioned, our reality manifests slowly, so if we venture off course now and then, which is quite normal, we will not create a continual negative state in our lives.  Repeated negative habits and focus are what we want to be aware of for these are the creators of a negative state of life. 

The more we understand and accept in this process, the more we begin to see the ramifications of our thoughts and expectations.  It also becomes easier to focus our attention as we become familiar with this process.  We can train our minds through gratitude and love.  In reality, it is an amazing opportunity we have been given and we are fortunate enough to have this realization.  If this process were not for us to learn and appreciate, it would not be in front of us now.  The longer we reject this idea, the stronger our egos’ hold becomes.  Non-belief will not stop the process as nothing can alter the truth, but we are then at the mercy of our ego and risk the manifestation of negativity to rule our journey.

The first step is to accept responsibility for your life, then build your future with the power of your positive thoughts and gratitude.  Focus on having the intention of creating the best possible scenario for your live and those around you.  It is also important to keep in mind that your thoughts gradually do materialize and this manifestation affects you as well as those around you.  We can take our focus one step further to world peace, balance and love for all. 

We are in control of our destiny through our attitude and expectation; therefore, we can build our life on a solid foundation and create a world of peace that not only nurtures us individually, but fosters this on a grand scale for everyone.

Pluto in Retrograde Motion

Pluto moves in and out of retrograde several times each year.  It is in retrograde for several months at a time each year.  It has been in retrograde since April 17, 2015 and remains in retrograde until September 25.

Transiting Pluto is a powerhouse in the horoscope and it intensifies in strength when it makes aspects to the natal chart or the progressed chart.  The orb in the transit of Pluto should be no more than 2 degrees, while in progressions it is most significant when it comes within 15 minutes of being direct.  When Pluto moves into the retrograde motion its affects intensify and becomes very powerful.  The transformational abilities linked to Pluto increase and the regenerative abilities are enhanced.  Any power struggles can also become much more apparent when in retrograde so it is wise to avoid interaction that could lead to intense situations.

It may be very challenging to avoid life situations that require change especially when Pluto transits a planets while in retrograde.  It could be considered a time for cleansing and a time to release any worn-out or outdated attitudes that you have fostered and hold onto.  It is the same idea as addressing and revising a list that needs updating to reflect information that is more meaningful and relevant in your life today.

It is a good time for inner research and investigation and for digging up of issues that have been buried for far too long.  It might not always be pleasant what you initially find but these challenging conditions will need to be confronted and dealt with eventually.  Any patterns in your life that have reached a state of uncontrolled persistence can best be addressed now, challenged, and then changed, usually on a permanent basis.

Much depends on the house Pluto is transiting and also the house that Pluto is located in, in the natal chart as these will be areas of life that will experience Pluto’s transformative energies.  You may be forced to challenge any issues you dig up and bring to the surface.  An example might be communicative challenges if transiting Pluto is moving through the third house or if natal Pluto resides in this house.  Also you should look to see where Pluto’s ruling sign (Scorpio) is found as this will also indicate where these changing conditions might become apparent.

Those with Pluto retrograde at birth are known to have great recuperative abilities and they can withstand illnesses that might be considered permanent for many others.  You should also have a look at how Pluto is aspected in the natal chart and the aspects linked to the planets that transiting Pluto is making aspects to during its cycle to see how these areas of life along with the energies associated with the planets involved will affect the overall conditions of this very significant transit of Pluto.

In general, it is a good time to get in touch with any issues that need cleansing and to identify your inner needs.  It is a time for inner evaluation and transformation that usually take a year or two to unfold.  It is also a good time to begin exercise programs and detoxifying diets that help cleanse the body along with the spirit. 

Enjoy the rather intense transformation that often takes place as Pluto moves into direct and retrograde motion affecting planetary links and important positions in your birth chart.

Hard Lessons

After all this talk about positive thinking, channeling the mind, handling negative circumstances that crop up in our lives, etc., it still seems to be a human nature reaction to stress when good people experience challenging lessons, whether it be yourself, someone you love or a total stranger. 

The road of life certainly has a tendency to push and pull us in different ways.  Without exception all of us have difficulties and hard roads to follow throughout our lives.  When one thinks of karma, it is easier to accept difficulties for those groups of people we label as corrupt and karma seems just.  It somehow seems right as it is apparent that their karma is of their own making.  This line of thinking also creates difficultly when we see individuals that we label as “good” people, especially children, who are experiencing major trials and lessons in their lives.

It can be very hard to openly accept the lessons and the “fairness” when we see the difficulties that some individuals go through.  The belief of reincarnation can assist with our acceptance but some of us even question, why karmic debts are carried forward into a lifetime that does not recall the debt owed.

  

We infer that in either case these lessons are necessary for the soul’s growth.  As mere mortals with our limited comprehension, it is difficult to understand, but acceptance and faith eases the confusion and heartache. 

Our reaction to life’s events remains a personal choice and time spent dwelling and reflecting on these issues is also a personal choice.  Life will happen with or without our approval.  Acceptance lightens the burden.  At some point, we will understand, but until that day, accept and move forward with your journey keeping your mind wide open to all possibilities. 

The truth shall be revealed to us all someday, but until then, allow acceptance to life to flourish.
