There are some individuals, particularly women,
who live in fear and oppression particularly under the dictatorship of emotionally
domineering men. This statement is not
to single out either gender as it is recognized that some woman are very
domineering over their partners as well.
Often these traits stem from learned behaviour in early childhood.
It seems that, although we have issues
stemming from childhood events, we can still drawn to relationships with
individual that mirror the same characteristics. Some of us will form relationships with
aggressive partners. Some of us will
find ourselves associated with domineering bosses and some will find these
personalities in friendships. It somehow
seems fated.
On a deeper level perhaps the soul has chosen
these life’s contacts because of a previous life’s experience when we were the
aggressor. Perhaps these life’s
experiences are used as learning tools for further growth. But we are in no way suggesting that anyone
should continue under such harsh living conditions. Perhaps the lesson is realizing self worth
and self love....enough self love to push us to act so that we remove ourselves
from these conditions. In many cases, the
lessons are to be learned.
If you find yourself in undesirable
conditions, know that this is not where you belong. Know that you are in no way responsible for
these actions and in no way do you deserve them.
It first has to be recognized that this is
not the “normal” or acceptable way to live.
Exercise your right to choose.
Know that there are many safety nets in place to assist us. Do not fear change.
Understand that the mind (ego) can play
tricks on us and coerce us into believing that there is no way out or that we
are not good enough or that we do not deserve any better. The excuses go on and on. We can become a slave to these thought
patterns and live in fear of change, believing that change will only hamper
life and make things worse.
Move beyond doubt and exercise a clear
mental evaluation of the situation. Know
that life can get better if you choose to make change. Change comes when we rise up to our
challenges and not surrender.
The only thing to fear is fear itself. We must always believe in ourselves. We must change our perception. We must relinquish old, outdated belief
structures that have held us back in the past.
We can and will rise above obstruction.
We CAN do this. We HAVE the strength
required to overcome anything life provides us with to learn and learn we will!
