Many of us are delving into the
subconscious and understand that, if we allow, ego will take up a lot of our
time and energy. The ego plays with our thoughts
and causes us to question our right to simply be ourselves. It challenges our ability to be comfortable
within our skin. It tries to hide our
wonderful qualities to maintain doubt which in effect gives it ultimate
control. It tries to bring out the worst
in us and then asks us to focus on these qualities and to take them on as our
own.
This is the route ego takes to try to
infiltrate our otherwise peaceful life experience. Even with this knowledge many of us still
have trouble recognizing the ego and still identify with ego often mistaking it
for who we truly are. Identifying with
ego provides it with strength and keeps it alive and well in our mind.
Ridding ourselves of this insistent
nuisance is essential if we are to allow and experience who we actually are. We must learn to recognize when ego is interfering
in order to halt it in its tracks. Recognition
of its influence is the biggest and most important step to conquering ego. It takes time to catch on to its schemes but as
we become more acquainted with its voice, we more readily recognize its
influence.
All thoughts are ego generated and the higher
self or the inner self is the quiet link within that silently exists and is not
a part of the chaos of life. This is who
we truly are. We can identify with this
energy once we have quietened the ego and allow this pure knowing to aid us in
life. Our inner self does not speak in
the traditional sense. There are no
words, yet everything is completely understood.
It is just a knowing within that radiates only truth. It truths are received on an intuitive level,
but also understood consciously.
Some of us struggle to comprehend this
energy (although it has always been with us throughout our lives) but through
focus and acceptance we will more readily understand these truths that are
emanating from within. The more we
recognize this energy the more we will hear the warnings, the reminders, the
truths.
Recognize ego and its intent. Filter out all the negativity is
produces. Throw away all of the social
labels learned over a life time. Recognize
your value. See who you truly are. Find the moment. Enjoy happiness and love.
