THE JUPITER RETURN

 Transiting Jupiter has a cycle of 12 years for it returns to its natal position in our Astrology chart.  All planets have a return cycle and you can prepare an Astrology chart for that specific moment in time when each planet comes back to its original position. The “Return” chart is read like a natal chart but would be focused on the energies of the specific focal planet.

 

You can delineate the Jupiter return every twelve years (approximately) by looking into the planet’s placement in the birth chart and then correlate transiting Jupiter to the same degree and minute it is at in the birth chart.

 

The house position will be the area of life that will bring opportunities, hope, good luck, and expansion. Jupiter brings with it an optimistic approach to the areas of life dictated by the house position. This will be an area of growth and expansion. The opportunities for a growth in finances are increased, as well as potential good fortune in personal ways and in the occupation. Once again, this is all reflective of the house position of Jupiter as well as the aspects Jupiter makes within the birth chart and the transits it will be receiving during the return period.

 

Jupiter nearly always promotes growth in some fashion or another; the only catch might be if it is in aspect to Saturn. Jupiter pushes for expansion, optimism, and good luck, while Saturn pushes for structure and discipline. Saturn is often associated with lessons, delays, and shortfalls especially if not enough preparation has been carried out.

 

There can be expansion problems especially if Jupiter is found in the first house, as weight gain is possible. Over-optimism and grand expectations can sometimes lead to less than expected results.

 

Make sure you also have a look at the house Jupiter rules in the birth chart. The house with Sagittarius on the cusp will also promote all the things that Jupiter offers.

 

It is important that you use the energies during this return cycle as this does not happen frequently.  The general feeling of good fortune can make you sit idle and do nothing with the energies at hand. Do not squander what is available to you.  Use this time to build for the future but enjoy it while it lasts.

 

If Jupiter moves into retrograde during the return and crosses its natal position several times, these energies will last longer than normal and will enhance opportunities each time it crosses this specific point in your chart. If the retrograde movement affects our chart, there are usually three contacts.

TRANSITING JUPITER TRINE NATAL PLUTO

 The position of Pluto in the natal chart is indicative of where you can expect major transformations, power struggles, deep insight, sexual overtones and potential regeneration.  Changes take place in these areas of life and in many cases, there is not too much you can do about it.  It is always best not to try to override Pluto’s energies. Pluto often brings an end to conditions in order for something new to be activated.

 

Jupiter is about insight and expanded energies.  Under most conditions Jupiter in transit offers opportunities to succeed, growth through exploration and optimistic feelings.  In many cases it is as though everything is going our way. It may happen on its own but if not, then a little push may be all that is required.  In its lesson form, Jupiter brings over-optimism and extravagance.  This may be true of almost anything that Jupiter touches.  Too much of something can be what Jupiter desires.

 

Trines speak of easy flow and opportunities for success or good luck; however, in rare cases, if for example, someone has been quite sick for some time, trines can cause things to move ahead with little resistance.  Little resistance is what trines speak about.  Trines are what we wait for in life and in most cases, Jupiter’s energies are certainly worth the wait. 

 

Pluto and Jupiter together may indicate a potential for growth and good fortunes as long as ego and power struggles do not become part of the process.  Pluto may indicate someone in a position of power and authority although this is often Saturn’s domain.  Pluto can cause ego disputes and in turn cause arguments and disruption (but not normally with the trine aspect).  It might be more like good luck and recognition or potential positive transformation that might push us up the corporate ladder of success if this is business oriented.  Pluto with Jupiter will likely create some opportunities to move forward in life and raising the bar might not be a bad idea.  Who knows where this might take us?

 

Much will depend on the houses involved in our personal Astrology chart, as well as other aspects to this position.  Making changes is often what this aspect is about.  Improve life not only for yourself but also for others.  Pluto carries a lot of weight and we might be surprised at what we can do now.  Sometimes these opportunities for change affect us on a very personal level, so we should make sure that we use these energies to the best of our abilities.  This is most likely if the first house is part of the picture.

 

If Jupiter goes into retrograde, we might have several opportunities as it passes over the same position or planet in our chart usually up to three times.  What does not work the first time might very well work better the second and then finalize the situation on its final or third pass.

WHAT ARE WE HERE TO LEARN?

 There are times that each of us questions the reasons behind our existence.  What exactly are we here to do?  What are we here to learn? Why are we here at all?

We are here to experience loss, death, sadness and for some unmentionable horrors.  We are here to grow from these experiences and to rise above them.  We are here to find strength through adversity and appreciate our blessings through the contrast.

 

We are here to share our life, to express ourselves, to know others but especially to understand ourselves.  We are here to discover, to have visions, to experience life through all of our senses.  We are here to develop and grow from the experience of all of life’s expressions. 

 

We are here to allow love and to know the feeling of being loved.  We are here to grow into ourselves and at times make massive discoveries through the challenges of life and our own innate fortitude.  We are here to discover our strength and endure our hardships.  We are here to grow as individuals and find and connect with our true spiritual selves.

FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE MAY 26, 2021

 We have experienced a Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse today, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, Penumbral began at 4:47 am, full eclipse began at 7:11 a.m., full eclipse ended at 7:25 a.m. and Penumbral ends at 9:45 a.m. EST.  In the Toronto area, the actual full eclipse will be below the horizon but the Penumbral beginning was visible.  It is found in the sign of Sagittarius at 5 degrees and 26 minutes. This eclipse lasts a total of 5 hours and 2 minutes but the full eclipse will last 14 minutes. 

 

For this eclipse to have an effect in your chart, you will need to have planets within 3 degrees of 5 degrees Sagittarius (2 degrees to 8 degrees).  The conjunction, opposition and square will have the strongest impact, while the trine and sextile will have an influence but not as profound. 

 

The position of natal planets or angles to this degree and within three degrees and how they tie in with other planetary aspects or angles will tell the story regarding your personal life and the influence you will experience. 

 

Lunar eclipses are said to last in months the duration of the eclipse in hours (some individuals, however, say the effects of this event can last as long as one year).  This eclipse, being in the sign of Sagittarius, a fire sign and its ruling planet being Jupiter, suggests that this will be a time of opportunity for expansion and growth unless poorly aspected in the natal chart by Saturn which makes this a little more challenging.  Jupiter offers up opportunities for travel, enlightenment in many levels and often good luck.  The area of life is determined by the house under its influence by this eclipse degree.

 

The lunar eclipses always have deeper influences.  On a social level regarding the masses, it shows the mindset due to information coming through at that time.  If any planets cross the degree especially by conjunction, they will stir the energies connected to the eclipse.  Mars by conjunction or opposition and the Sun will particularly add to these energies while Saturn will often end situations, if Saturn is in play that is.  Mars will often spur major happenings if making contact.  This speaks primarily of the duration of this eclipse which lasts about one month. 

 

Eclipses bring change.  A Full Moon Lunar eclipse is a time to purge and let go of things that no longer suit life’s circumstances.  It is a culmination point when we begin to take note of what has been in place and move to the next level.  We often reap what we have sown.  Careful consideration should be taken before we plunge into action or on the contrary, consideration of the actions we need to take as we may in the past been avoiding deciding and therefore no steps have been taken.  Do not forget we are speaking of the energies of Sagittarius and the planet Jupiter.

 

Some individuals fear eclipses.  In many cases, eclipses foster change, but these changes are needed and should be considered essential.

 

Enjoy the energies at hand, and unless you have other mitigating factors in your natal chart connected to this positioning, you may find it has little impact on your life.  Each individual chart will vary.

NEPTUNE RETROGRADE

 The outer planets remain in retrograde for longer periods than the inner planets.  When Neptune goes retrograde in the later part of June (June 25, 2021) those that have Neptune in retrograde in their birth charts will experience its affects likely more than those without it in retrograde in their birth charts. 

 

Those that have Neptune stationary in their birth chart will be more powerfully affected. “Powerfully” may not be the appropriate word as Neptune’s energies operate in very subtle ways.  Its influences are felt often through intuitive channels and the unconscious mind. 

 

In direct motion, Neptune often suggests cloudiness with our reasoning, potential deception or we may not be facing facts.  In its higher representation it suggests idealism.  It also could suggest a romantic involvement often associated with an idealistic view of the partner or situation.  It is also linked to artistic abilities coming to the surface. 

 

Neptune is linked with fantasy and visions while in direct motion, but its energies turn to reality and dealing with the actual facts when in retrograde.  Openheartedness and level-headedness linked to common sense are terms that could also be associated with Neptune’s retrograde cycle energy.

 

Since Neptune deals primarily with the mystical and spiritual side of our consciousness, during the time when Neptune is retrograde, you may find that you realize more concrete solutions or answers to questions pertaining to these pursuits (seeing things as they are).  This applies particularly to those with Neptune retrograde in their birth charts. 

 

Look to see which house Neptune is transiting through during this cycle and look where Neptune is located in your birth chart for specific areas of life. 

 

Neptune’s retrograde cycle is approximately 150 days in length, and it spends about 14 years in each sign.  Its return cycle is approximately 165 years, so we never experience its return in our lives.  About 40 percent of people have Neptune retrograde in their birth charts.  As a result, Neptune’s retrograde energies are quite common.

 

When Neptune is in its direct cycle, there can be a cloudiness about life, depending on how it is aspected in the birth chart.  There may be deception and deceit or often illusion and disarray when it comes to seeing things as they are.  When Neptune turns retrograde, it becomes more genuine and more lifelike as Neptune can be illusionary when direct.  It is more reliable, and life becomes more real although what you see, at times, may not be all that pleasant when in retrograde.  There can be a real feeling of let-down after a period of feelings of idealism and wonder, but the truth is what we want, regardless of how it may look.  Because of Neptune’s influence, when we view the world as it is, a part of us still wants to see it through rose coloured glasses.  There is the unrealistic hope under this retrograde influence that what we see might just vanish; but it will not, and we have to face facts. 

 

Life becomes more practical and realistic with the retrograde cycle, and this can also include “visions” that are real.  This can also include mystical understanding that is also real and identifiable. 

 

Neptune retrograde is not a bad thing.  Neptune retrograde is clear truth in a broad scope.

NEW ROAD AHEAD

We are always travelling a crossroad, learning from specific experience.  We have reached a fork yet the path ahead is still unclear.  Let’s not forget, however, we have travelled a great distance since this specific journey began. 

 

It has been a rough and rocky road up to this point and in many countries, their journey is far from over. 

 

It is wonderful to see the nations that are on the mend reaching out to assist those that are going through great challenges.  Many countries (and we as individuals) have shown us without judgement that we are certainly all one (all experiencing the same storm yet all experiencing this storm in our own vessel).  Because we are one, what one does affects the whole. 

 

There is no denying that life has been turned upside down in many ways and regardless of your take on the pandemic, we all share in its unfolding.

 

What lessons have been taught to the world at large?

 

What lessons have you been taught on a personal level? 

 

What can we do in our own little corner of the world to bring us all closer together and help us think in terms of the whole?

 

Under such unusual circumstances surely there have been important lessons for everyone.  Surely, we have not walked this road in vain.  I personally believe that brotherhood or should I say, personhood, is asking for awareness.  Society is calling out for help.  Our world is primed for an awakening and has been for some time, but not enough was done to complete the process.  Has the universe interjected? 

 

This is most certainly a valuable lesson. 

 

Continue to move forward.  Do not falter or revert back. 

 

We must leave the past behind and venture into the unknown.  This unknown holds an opportunity for growth and expansion in the best possible manner that suits us as individuals, but also enhances and pledges to initiate what is required for us all, as a whole, to move forward.

SUN IN GEMINI MAY 20, 2021

 On May 20, 2021, the Sun moves from the fixed, earth sign of Taurus (which has a lot to do with the building of a foundation that stands the test of time) into the mutable, air sign of Gemini.  If you were to follow the process built through the Sun in Taurus into the sign Gemini, what you have been working on and building over time now can be shared and the knowledge you gained through the hard work and preparation required is now ready for application and for use in daily life.  This would be the natural process of the Sun.

 

Gemini is a versatile and adaptable position for the Sun and has a yearning for knowledge and loves to share this information with others.  Gemini is ruled by the planet of expression, Mercury; and Gemini individuals know how to speak their mind.  They are intellectual and are always looking for more information to add to their reservoir of knowledge.  They are the “learners” of the Zodiac.  They are also the teachers of the Zodiac, although teaching is shared on many levels with different Sun signs.

 

Geminian people can be witty and fun to be with and never run short of ideas and are ever ready to move to the next phase of learning.  They are interested in themselves and the world at large.  They are able to dig up information that might be controversial or factual. 

 

As a quick forecast and since the outer planets always have the greatest impact in our lives, we will discuss in short some of the influences that Pluto will have on the typical Gemini.  Pluto, being the most powerful energy, is now in the sign of Capricorn at 26 degrees.  Pluto will be making an inconjunct or quincunx to those with their Sun in the later degrees of Gemini.  Quincunxes speak of adjustments and often indicate some challenging conditions to overcome. 

 

Depending on which house your Sun is located in within your birth chart and the house that transiting Pluto is moving through, as well as where you natal Pluto resides, these areas of life will need alignment on some level.  There may be power struggles to overcome and the path ahead and some goals in life may have to be altered.  Because Pluto is so dynamic and often points towards a total transformation, what you may experience can be a total shift into a new direction that will likely be difficult because the change is so finite. 

 

Pluto’s orb of influence can be felt up to five degrees approaching and will still have lingering effects up to 2 degrees after being direct.  As Pluto is in its retrograde cycle at the time this post was written, watch for it passing over the same degree again when it moves back into its direct motion in October, 2021.  You may have had this influence in your life for at least a year depending on the degree of your Sun in Gemini and may still have effects for another couple of years.  The energies are the strongest when they are direct and sitting right on your natal Sun’s position.

LOVE AND LIFE

We are one.  We each co-existing within the framework of our consciousness and are always connected with our pure essence.  Our sacred unity with our source is also a connection with all that is.  We should live in harmony with all of life.

 

We develop this unity as we mature into ourselves reaching ever further into our most intimate being.  We are spirit dwelling momentarily in an earthly vehicle.  We are not our bodies.  We are not our thoughts.  We are eternal beings.  We explore to understand our essence.  We join our energies to help coordinate a universal movement of pure love.

 

Our essence resonates on an internal level but reveals itself through an ongoing process to those that are ready to experience its existence.  Remaining open to this eventual awakening, releases our bondage to material concerns.  It is within our grasp to realize our true objective and help facilitate the ongoing awakening taking hold in our world.  We are the facilitators of peace, of love.

 

We are to open our hearts to resonate the love that is our core and in so doing, we awaken the same in others.  We are not segregated or separate from each other.  We all share this life together regardless of distance and we are molding a future for the next generations.

 

We are the creators of peace and the conduits of love, regardless of our earthly condition or what we experience through media and other external influences.  It is not hopeless unless we allow this expression to exist in our mind.  These are the early days of the evolution.  We are the pioneer.

 

Keep the processes moving forward regardless of obstruction and challenges that lay before us.  We must push forward in the face of adversity. 

 

Teach by example and be the light for others.  Find your true essence simply by living within its framework.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE SQUARE THE SUN

If your Sun is either in the sign of Gemini or Sagittarius and in or around the 20 degree position, you have had or are experiencing transiting Neptune squaring your Sun. Neptune may have been in square to your Sun, depending on the degree of your natal Sun, for up to a couple of years and I imagine on occasion that you have been struggling with these energies and likely getting a little fed up with uncertainty in life. You may have felt somewhat lost and in search for some answers for some time  Although previous to this sun contact to Neptune you might have felt in control of your destiny, you are probably wondering if things will ever clear up.

 

You may have or are experiencing a time of bewilderment in connection with your work which is in a state of flux and goals may seem to be out of reach.  Illusive could be a word that fits the time while Neptune is making this square. You may feel as though you have lost your bearings and even feel unsure of who you are and where your place is in the world. Part of you may feel as though it is useless to even pursue anything out of fear of failure or defeat. You may feel depressed and disillusioned even unsure of what reality looks like. This can be a trying period and forcing yourself to see the positive may be quite challenging under this influence.

 

Neptune in transit can be felt as far away as 5 - 7 degrees as it approaches by some more sensitive individuals but will slowly fade away as it gets 2 – 3 degrees past direct.

 

Recognizing Neptune’s tendency to keep things out of focus can help you to understand the forces at work in your life. Life can be vague and unclear, and all this uncertainty will make you reach further within for some comfort and solace. Centering yourself and building an inner core is part of the process during this time, even though it may not feel this way.

 

This is a particularly good time to reach out to mysticism and the psychic connections, because although goals and life’s direction may be off somewhat, the mystical channels can open for you, especially if you have other links in your natal chart that identify these latent traits that can now surface. Between the two Sun signs (Gemini and Sagittarius) Sagittarius might be open to such energies while Gemini might not be willing to go the extra mile to open the mystical door. There is some restlessness in both signs but particularly so with Gemini.

 

Above all else, your inner sense of self requires nourishing and a focus on positive energy during this cycle in your life. Steer clear of any self-defeatist attitudes and do not run away from any problems you might be encountering at this time. Do not hide your head in the sand. Face life head on and deal with any adversity. Do not sit and waste your energies.

 

Although you feel as though you want to be by yourself, make sure you are not. You need the help of trusted friends and people that will offer positive feedback to this temporary situation. Their clarity over the situations might help you understand more clearly what is taking place in your life. Stay put in life and know that things will soon clear and that an opening is in sight.

EMPOWERING YOURSELF

TRANSITING PLUTO CONJUNCT NATAL MARS

 Before we go into deciphering this transit of Pluto to Mars, please check if you have a natal aspect between these two planets to confirm this applies to you.  Also check if you have other transits aspecting your natal Mars and check which houses are involved.  The planets that are natally joined with Mars will all play a part in the potential unfolding of these two energies.

 

The dynamics of these two planetary energies can be quite forceful and very volatile.  As a result, it is important to check the overall picture in your chart.  If there are aspects in the chart indicating some other forces playing a role in this conjunction and they are favourable, then the energies released may not be as tense.

 

Pluto and Mars together, when well aspected by other plants or points, can be a time of gathering or reaching your goals and recognizing your abilities and using them for a push forward in life.  There are powerful forces at work when the energy levels are activated.  There will be a strong drive towards dominance in whatever areas of life are involved, (the area of life is found in their house placements). 

 

If, for example, these planets are found occupying the first house, you may be driven to succeed in personal matters although you may find that others become involved, and they may also exert their influence in the situation. 

 

If the seventh house is the area of influence, this aspect may not work overly well when it comes to your marriage or business partnership.  You may even have to watch out for enemies attempting to work against you in some way.  Struggles and disruptions are common and ego disputes are often the result.

 

Because the energies are so powerful, you will have to make sure that you find ways to shift this drive into areas that will benefit the situation.  Undercover work and solving or resolving issues can work well during this influence.  Pluto’s energies are about transformation and after careful study and digging up material that help promote transformation; change will surface.  The only problem with Mars being attached to these energies is that these problems can become dangerous situations and aggressive action can be a result if the energies are misdirected.  In extreme cases, the potential for violence and potent arguments can erupt and cause dangerous situations, but once again only in extreme situations.

 

Do not be too hasty, as compulsive actions are often sparked by this conjunction.  It is advisable to stay clear of any conditions or situations that could eventually lead to disruption and violence.  Watch yourself and do not take any unnecessary chances.  The careless operation of motor vehicles is especially not advisable during this time.  Watch for anger and then the desire to leave the scene and drive away upset.  If at all possible, remain where you are or calm down before operating motor vehicles. 

 

Watch for operating heavy machinery or when using sharp tools, as Mars has a powerful influence in these areas as well.

 

If possible, use the energies of this transit to perform hard and tedious tasks and push yourself ahead especially when Pluto and Mars are in Capricorn.  You could excel in your occupation and receive reward for your perseverance and dominating drive, as long as you work with others and allow them to have their say.  Domination coming from both sides is quite possible during this transit.  Stand your ground but do not be pushy.

NEW MOON MAY 11, 2021

 We will be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Taurus at 21 degrees today, May 11, 2021, at 3:01 p.m. EDT.
