Unfortunately we meet our share of people we feel are untrustworthy. Regrettably it can take time to recognize who these people are. Our lives can be shaken when it’s revealed that one we have trusted is not who they appear to be.
Our most
personal moments can be misused by those we trusted. These realizations as part
of the learning process. Do not allow these few to shake your trust of people
in general.
These are
learning experiences and we develop and trust our gut instincts. In many cases,
what we ‘feel’ is reliable but watch for becoming too caught up in anxiety and
worry about whether we should speak up or open up to others. Although some may abuse
our trust, this does not mean that all will do the same.
We can let
these individuals know how we feel, especially if they are important to us. Speak
of your boundaries. Not everyone has the same boundaries or concerns. This lets
them know that your emotional wellbeing was affected.
In some
cases, depending on the severity of the incident, we may choose to walk away
from this individual. It is our judgement call. Be clear on your wishes and
feelings.
Be with
those you know you can trust. Engulf yourself in true friendship. Follow your
intuition, listen to your gut feelings and trust in your own judgement. You
know best!
