Who Am I?

Ponder this question for a moment – “Who am I?”  Take some time to think about this.  Are you your thoughts?  Are you your beliefs?  Once you have had time to think about the answer to these two questions, again ask yourself, “Who am I?” 

 

You are not your thoughts!  Your thoughts are not who you are.  Thoughts are your mind’s process of its perception of reality.  The mind is not you.  The mind is a part of this earthy vehicle that we call your body.    Where is the dividing line between your essence...soul.....energy (whatever you want to call it) and the mind which is part of this earthy existence? 

 

Who am I?  I am........that is it! 

 

The mind will not be happy with this answer as the mind is analytical.  The mind wants clarification; it has to be rational and it needs something solid to grasp.  Yet as simple as this statement is “I am”, if you truly break down who you are, there is no more.      

 

You are not your body!  Your body is just a vehicle for your soul. Are you your soul?  What is the soul?  You are a spirit in human form.  What is a spirit? 

 

Are you the amalgamation of all your experiences, or is this just a concept?  It has been said that life molds you into who you are.  So are we an accumulation of all that has happened to us?  ..Are these not just events?  We do not own events that we are a part of so how can they be a part of our being?   Is the real you not much deeper than an experiences from this life? 

 

We are part of the pure essence.  We are part of the whole.  What is the whole? 

 

These are tough questions.  Mull them around.  What are YOUR beliefs?  What feels right to you?

 

Your mind does not define you.  It is not whom you are.  Your mind is a tool to process information. 

 

We participate in the moment, but what is the moment?  Again, tough questions, aren’t they?

 

Please share your thoughts.  Perhaps these questions are difficult because our minds, (our computers) do not have a logical answer available.  Our ego interferes and insists that we are what we think we are...an important doctor, a caring teacher, a loving parent.  This is our vocation...our calling.....but these are not who we are. 

 

I....you...we.... just are.

No Shortcuts

There are some individuals that are fortunate enough to have come into this life fully aware and awake to life’s usually hidden gateways to the subconscious.  The deeper realms of being, for these individuals, are met face to face upon their acknowledging to the mystical side of life.  Some consider this awareness a gift while others are uncomfortable with this “supernatural” awareness due to social stigma. 

 

There are countless individuals on the journey to awakening, each moving at their own pace towards enlightenment.  It takes time and most of us must shed several layers of ingrained thinking before we will be open to the ability to reach these higher realms of existence. The largest obstacle to overcome is the ever insistent drive that comes from the bloated ego, as this mental “me” portion of self must be quieted in order for awakening to take place--at least on a level that makes us think that in some way we are better and therefore superior to anyone else on one or more levels.

 

It is said that those that truly permeate this realm are truly humble.  Although they are aware of the uniqueness of their character, they do not consider themselves in any way superior to others.  To attain enlightenment, is it not important to review our focus on material status over the focus of being one with our true essence?

 

Is there a shortcut to awakening?  I truly believe that awakening moves at its own speed.  Only when we are truly ready to take that next step forward will that door open and the opportunity present itself. 

 

We are all on this journey.  We are all headed in the intended direction, each of us precisely where we are meant to be.  We are spiritual beings living in human form, here to learn the lessons that emerge from physical form.

 

Open the doors to your being and allow the love that resides within.  Can we not be the light for others?  Should we not lead by example and utilize our light? 

 

Your true inner brilliance cannot be manifested, it just is.  Awakening takes place when you are ready to move in your intended direction-- no sooner, no later.  We are all unique and separate, yet joined as one.  We are one--whole with the pure essence.  We are light.  We are love.

Transitting Uranus Conjunct the Vertex

If your Vertex is between 10-15 degrees of Aries in your Chart, we would like to touch on transiting Uranus’ conjunction to the Vertex, but Uranus’ action will be swift and unexpected for any connection with the Vertex.  The area of life involved will be defined by the Vertex’s house placement in your Birth chart.  The Vertex will be involved in aspect to Uranus from about the spring of 2013 and continues to be influenced until the spring of 2015.

 

The Vertex is considered by many Astrologers to be a gateway or turning point to our destiny.  When activated through transit or progression, there are often important people that enter into our lives.  They are considered to be linked with our past and are often reincarnated individuals that have come once again to be involved with our lives.  The linkage feels somewhat electric when connected to Uranus and has a compulsive energy attached to it.  It is as though you are meeting at a specific point in destiny and have come together to complete something that may not have been finished in a previous existence.

 

Uranus’s action is often unexpected and is sudden in its nature and usually very disruptive.  There is often a feeling that the meeting could not be avoided and during these times we should pay particular attention to what we has been wishing for as in some way this may come true.  Uranus makes us act on impulse and often the individual concerned suddenly comes into our life and leaves just as quickly and unexpectedly as they first appeared.

 

Uranus has been moving in and out of retrograde over this whole period indicated above, so shedding this unique individual may not be easy, if this is your desire.  Keeping them may not come easy either.  Often when the lesson or commitment from the past has lived out its purpose, the individual will leave your life and often permanently.

 

This feeling of destiny awaiting brings to the forefront a feeling that completely encapsulated you and you instinctually understand that you have been brought together for a purpose or to complete something and this characteristically complicates matters.  You may find it very difficult to let go of the other person until you come to the knowing that whatever you have been brought together to complete is now finished.  

 

The vertex is always found on the western side of the horoscope (houses 5-8) hence its involvement with partnerships and people.  Have a look at your Vertex in your Chart to find when it will be influenced by upcoming trends and other links in your Astrology chart.

Take Time to Enjoy

In your busy day whether you are working away from home, working at home or lucky enough to be retired, take time to enjoy the moment.  Even when the workload is heavy and you wonder how you will be able to get things done; take time to enjoy the moment.  There is always time in your day for you to stop, to recharge your battery and to reflect on just how lucky you are.  Be grateful for your job no matter how busy.  There are countless others that would love to have that job.  Enjoy that moment.

 

If the kids are frustrating you, take a moment and enjoy the fact that you can share the moment with them.  They are truly a gift, and you are the lucky caregiver.  One day they will move on.  They are only young for such a short period.  Even the teenage years, which have very tedious moments, are very short lived.  Enjoy the moment. 

 

Take the time each day to stop and smell the roses and to pay attention to your surroundings.  Be thankful--truly thankful.

 

If you are out of work and searching for a job, any job, be thankful that you are able to look and know that you will eventually find one.  But during this time of search, stop and take the time to think of all the blessings you have in your life.  Take time to enjoy.

 

If you have just lost someone dear to you, whether through illness or other circumstances, be thankful for the time you shared and understand that destiny prevails.  Be thankful for the memories, but move forward with your life.  Although they may be gone, their memories live on as does their spirit.  You are never alone.  Your loved ones are with you especially in your darkest hours.  Know this and be thankful.

 

Take at least a moment in your day to be truly thankful.  It is certainly a gift and we can share this gift in so many ways.  Be thankful for being able to share this life with others.  Life is a blessing and it is there for the living.  Be thankful!

My chart was quite accurate in terms of my personality and even the description of events over the past year.  I have always maintained that I am here to learn patience. Supports I may not have used previously given my independence.  Much good has grown out of a really cruddy situation.  I know there are still changes ahead in terms of relationships and work.

Violence Does Not Solve Violence

How many wars have been fought in the name of justice?  How many innocent people have been killed in the name of religion? 

 

Throughout the years mankind has used drastic measures to try to deal with injustice and what is the end result?  Have the issued been resolved?  Is there less crime or atrocities?  Has the punishment suited the crime?

 

Why do so many innocent people need to be hurt or die when fighting breaks out between rival factions?  How do you stop this violence?  How to you make these individuals accountable without violence?

 

When someone is jailed for a crime committed is the problem rectified due to their institutionalization?  Does the perpetrator come out with a new found outlook that assists them with the intension that they will not harm another again?  We call incarceration justice but does justice assist in correcting the issues or does it perpetuate the problems?  What is the alternative?

 

One thing is for certain, violence does not correct violence.  If anything, it promotes more action of the same.  So what do we do and how do we change the course of our world?  What is the alternative for our political leaders?  What other course of action can they take to combat violence? 

 

Can change begin with us?  We can foster a better tomorrow by being an example to our children and our children’s children through love and compassion.  We have to “be” the action that we want for our world.  Slowly we will mold a future that WILL help those in need of direction and those who are dishearten because of a life that offers little in the area of hope.

 

It begins with us.  Once a wave starts on a lake, it continues and will travel the full length of the lake.  Our small steps in a positive direction can become the source of inspiration that can touch all of humanity.  Start your own wave and let’s watch its rippling effect.

Transitting Jupiter in Leo

Jupiter has been in Leo since July of this year and we will be focusing on the movement of Jupiter in the sign of Leo specifically between 15-22 degrees.  If you have your Midheaven at 15-22 degrees of Leo, Jupiter will be conjuncting this area of your Chart beginning towards the end of September and will remain in close proximity until late June, 2015.  Jupiter goes into retrograde motion on December 8, 2014 and will pass over this area of your Chart two more times before it moves beyond the 22 degree mark.  Its influence will intensify each time is conjuncts this area of your Chart.

 

Transiting Jupiter’s orb of influence can be felt about 5 degrees approaching and lasts about 2 degrees while separating.  Jupiter is known as a major benefactor in Astrology and usually provides luck and good fortune or at least a positive approach to life’s circumstances when it becomes activated with another point in your Chart.  When Jupiter conjuncts the midheaven quite often one receives opportunities to further one’s occupation through promotion or increase in salary.  This opportunity increases when Jupiter is well aspected in the Natal Chart.  The results would be less affluently affected when Jupiter is under some stress in the Birth Chart. 

 

Jupiter regardless of natal aspect (with the except for Saturn) rewards and provides opportunities to move forward in your life’s direction.  Sometimes one’s aspirations and outer goals come to fruition during Jupiter’s contact with the mid-heaven.  You may get more recognition for hard work but Jupiter’s main expression deals with expansion.  If for example you have been avoiding responsibility at work, you may also get noticed for this; however, because of the good fortune that Jupiter usually offers, you may only get reprimanded in a gentle fashion.  Under most conditions, you would get another chance to prove yourself and in so doing, change your future prospective.  

 

When Jupiter is conjuncting the Mid-heaven, it is also in opposition to the IC or fourth house cusp.  This usually brings opportunities for changes in the home front although oppositions are usually not the best aspect and are often associated with other people’s opinions or communicational disruption and interchange.  If Jupiter is conjunct this area of your Chart, there would be opportunities to move into a home of your own, or buy or sell real estate that you could prosper from during this time.  The fourth house also deals with the family, and your family may experience gains at this time or you may assist them during this period.

 

Jupiter is nearly always present when good things happen or some sort of expansion takes place.  It promotes luck and ease in obtaining benefits unless there are other challenging aspects within the Chart at the same time.  If there are plenty of squares or oppositions and even some conjunctions to planetary placements within the Birth Chart during the transiting Jupiter conjunction, you will have to weigh in all the potential challenges that these other placements will have.  In most circumstances, Jupiter will provide some fortunate outcome although you may have to work very hard to achieve what you set out to do.  Jupiter is normally beneficial in its effects.
