Interchange

Throughout the course of our experience here on the earth, we share our experiences with one another and create connections along the way.  Those that resonate with our intentions and have similar ideologies about life and its meaning join us with our journey as we move along in our intended direction.  Our interchange is certainly not just by chance and these individuals have a familiar feeling about them.  Have we been together before?  Have we shared experiences previously?

Most of us not only believe the concept of reincarnation but are certain that we have chosen to return together.  There is a strong feeling when we meet someone even for the first time that we somehow already know each other.  It is believed that we have shared experiences along common ground before and we are part of a constant movement linking us together on many levels.

We share our physical existence, learning and growing individually but also as a unit.  We have connections through our experiences, through our dream state and through the deeper regions of our subconscious.  It is believed that on some level we discuss what would be the best routes to take as a group, and we share ideas and concepts that would help lift our evolutionary journey. 

Many of us are on similar paths although there are those that connect only for a brief moment in time to act as a catalyst to push us into an intended direction and helping us to filter through the clouds of illusion that are hindering our growth.  These individuals are acting in accordance to our wishes, and together we may form a bond and create the needed information on one level or another to facilitate the action that is required to motivate us to push ahead.

There are times when miraculous events occur and insight becomes so apparent that even the ego cannot filter out its significance.  These moments are often found when one is transgressing through a challenging period.  This intensity can push us forward into our intended direction in a quick and decisive manner.  We are constantly moving forward even when we feel as though we are at a standstill.  When we experience crisis in our lives, these are the times that we can be bombarded with enlightenment and an unfolding of realizations that would have taken so much longer to understand under normal circumstances.

It is important to pay attention during these times of extreme stress and challenge to understand that these events of duress are our greatest learning tools.  These experiences help us realize that we have a powerful drive to stay strong in the face of adversity and we recognize that our endurance and strength is immense.  We have nothing to fear, except fear itself.

There are many challenging moments in our lifetime that we will need to confront and maneuver through, but be sure to know that you have what it takes to get you through.  Your friends and passing acquaintances as well as your guides are always at your side.  True friends and those with your best interests at heart are always willing and able to assist you in the long haul.  Persevere and conquer any obstruction along the way and know that it will make you stronger and push you in the intended direction.  You always have what you need at your disposal. 

Through your own willingness to give love, life too will spread love and joy throughout your ongoing journey.  Live with passion.  Advance with resilience and confidence.  Stand tall in the face of adversity.   Always remember you are spiritual energy living in a physical body--always alive and always subconsciously aware.

Transiting Jupiter Conjunct Natal Ascendant

We have been reviewing some of the more challenging astrology aspects as of late and thought we would lighten the focus and review a softer and more positive reinforcing aspect.  We will have a look at transiting Jupiter in aspect to the natal Ascendant.  If your Ascendant is around the 20 degree mark of Leo, Jupiter has been in conjunct your Ascendant since early October and will remain in aspect until the end of January of 2015.  It will stay in retrograde motion until it turns direct at 12 degrees of Leo in April of 2015 and then comes back into contact once again on its final pass in June of 2015.

Jupiter is what is referred to as the “feel good” planet and most anything it touches will have a atmosphere of good fortune and optimism attached to it.  When it conjuncts the Ascendant, it often affects your relationships and brings you closer to those that matter in your life.  Even strangers seem to have a profound effect on you as you become more willing to expand your horizons and spread optimism into the world around you.

This transit is very positive for your health and promotes health consciousness (it may however also bring on some weight gain as Jupiter tends to expand everything it touches).  The ascendant is closely linked to your body image and you will have to watch for this potential.  Jupiter helps us fight disease and infection and the body usually grows in strength and endurance especially if Pluto is connected somehow to your ascendant through positive aspect.

In many ways, this is a particularly strong period of growth in the spiritual sense and often with religious overtones.  Life’s philosophy becomes more important and you have a greater yearning for knowledge that exceeds the classroom.  Some experience travel at this time, meeting up with foreigners and learning about foreign cultures and traditions.  The desire for travel is strong during this time and if one is not able to physically travel, you will do so in the mind.  Meditation is a great technique to use as this transit becomes activated as you may discover new dimensions within the framework of your life.  Your view of life should expand during this transit.  After this transit, you may view the world from a different perspective with clearer and more positive insights than you had previous to this period in time.

This transit along with any outer planet crossing over your Ascendant is indicative of a new beginning or new cycle of development and growth through education (either through traditional learned channels or though experience in life).  There is much to be learned during this time and transitions may take place especially if Pluto, Neptune or Uranus are involved in the equation as well.  Enjoy this growth spurt and stay open to change and a new life direction with a more optimistic approach to what might lie ahead.  Be prepared to let go of any disarray that may have been holding you down in the past.

Gathering Momentum

As we begrudgingly relinquish control of our destiny to our guides and our fate and we let go of the ego’s desire to maintain control, we notice new insights and an awakening taking place.  It is the ego’s hold that keeps us grounded and stops us from entering into the mystical, magical world around us.  Control can be an issue and the ego always had a dominant affect on our life’s conditions, whether it is beneficial or challenging.

It is difficult for the ego to release control and for us to accept that life will unfold in its own time and in its own fashion.  We move ahead at our own rate of progress and as the channels begin to open, we will make internal changes that will help facilitate this ongoing change that occurs within and as well as on a outer more global scale. 

We are not alone on our quest as many travel the same journey.  Everyone we meeting, in their own way, will draw our attention to new and wonderful enlightenment.  Each one of us has our own channel of perception and we can assist others in tuning into these channels.

We also receive assistance from our guides that are not of this dimension.  These enlightened beings that have left behind the physical demands and the influence of ego come into our lives when we need them most.  This too is our path and we are ever expanding our awareness and coming closer to this gateway known as enlightenment, being here in the now.

We proceed on our quest, each experiencing the obstacles we need to overcome which promotes our growth.  Our attitude and our expectations will dictate which route we take as we approach the forks on our path.

 

Letting go of our specific life’s course will allow the true guide to lead the way, lessening the unnecessary obstacle and allowing the true lessons to be learned and applied as required to reach our destiny. 

We know we are repeating ourselves but it is so important to accept that we are spiritual beings living in a physical body.  We are not our bodies, or our thoughts.  We are the light, the energy which radiates within.  This is our true selves; this is our essence.

With this in mind, are we not here to be open to all of life’s experiences and to continually learn as life unfolds? 

We are here to explore and learn from the physical world, with all its wonders.  We are not here to suffer or stagnate.  All experiences are temporary.  Allow the lesson to be learned so that you can live life to its fullest through love and compassion and allow ourselves to see these qualities within each soul that walks this path with us.

Midpoints in Astrology

Midpoints in Astrology are considered one of the more successful astrological applications available for its predictive nature.  A midpoint is the exact halfway point between two planets, or two significant points (Ascendant, Midheaven) or astrological bodies such as Chiron.  The Part Of Fortune, as well as the Vertex, or other bodies that you use to delineate an Astrology Chart can also be used with midpoints.

 

For example, if you have Uranus at 11 degrees Cancer and the Moon at 28 degrees Scorpio then the midpoint would be 19 degrees Virgo.  If by chance you have a planet or significant point in the natal chart that is within a one degree orb of 19 degrees Virgo that planet would have Uranus and Moon connotations brought into the mixture these planetary positions.  If for example, you have Mars within that one degree orb, Mars would be heavily influenced by Uranus and the Moon.

With transits and progressions, any planetary link to this position would carry these overtones as well as the conjunction to Mars.  You can also use the semi-square, the square, the Sesquiquadrate and the opposition when delineating this configuration.  These aspects are all divisions of 45 degrees and will bring action, will create events and will make these quite noticeable to the individual. 

Midpoints are very significant when trying to decipher potential events to situations that are suggested by the natal midpoint scheme in question and the houses involved in the equation.   As mentioned, use an orb of no more than one degree when deciphering what potential situations may occur.  Midpoints are significant because they will provide the astrologer with a clearer definition of what potential lies within the bounds of these transfigurations.

Midpoints can also be applied to the natal chart with any midpoint of any combination, as the midpoint becomes a focal point when transits or progression join up and make contact with these sensitive points.  In most cases when the conjunction is activated between the two planets or significant points and the aspect is direct within one minute, you can certainly expect something to happen. 

The house location of the midpoint will provide you with the area of life affected and you also have to look at the houses the two bodies are located in within the natal chart to provide a clearer picture.  Then take into consideration what the planets represent and how this area of life will be affected.  For example, the Moon and Uranus and Mars would suggest an emotional experience that would be sudden and unexpected with the potential for aggressive action or progressive movement in the areas of life indicated.

Midpoints can pinpoint events although the more angles involved the harder it is to delineate.  Using the midpoint between the two planets is often sufficed in providing additional information.  Pay particular attention to the midpoints between the Sun and the Moon, and the Ascendant and the Midheaven.

Disruptions to Life's Flow

In the course of life, we will have periods of relative calm when life seems to flow along quite effortlessly.  These periods can be soft and they provide us with time to simply enjoy and relax.  These stages can even provide total peace and tranquility.  Enjoy these moments and hold them dear to your heart.  Realize that these times should be viewed on as gifts of time to reflect and to appreciate life’s magic.

When these moments dissipate and we experience transition or turmoil, it is important to understand that through these experiences we gain inspiration and excel in evolution.  Although these periods can be experiences of extreme manifestation and can be exceedingly hard to handle and even accept, they are opportunities for great growth.  They enhance life’s meaning in ways that the gentle moments could not accomplish.

Life is an unfolding story filled with both of these types of experiences.  It is up to us to use these times (both challenging and relaxing) to learn from and to grow, through experience and contemplation.  Nothing is by chance.  We are meant to go through these times even those that seem extreme.  To find and accept balance in life is important.  We experience both sides of the coin (good and tough karma) which offers constant opportunities for growth.

Karma is often viewed as negative and few of us recognize that karma comes from both sides of the equation.  It offers learning tools that we can often bring to the surface when needed.  We are also building on our Karma in this life and our reactions to life’s events forecast future potentialities as we live our lives.  It is believed by many that we can create and experience karmic here and now from and in this life, sparing challenging karma in our next life.  Does this not promote positive karma in our lives to come as we are opening our arms now and welcoming karma for our current actions in our current life?

It is important to understand that our reaction to life events does dictate our current state of being and we can channel our life experiences in such a way that we do not have to live under constant struggle and traumatic life conditions.  Life happens and there is no avoiding these conditions.  Our reaction to these events and how long we choose to live in any mind frame, however, is always in our hands, regardless of how difficult the circumstances.  We always have freedom of choice and can channel the minds’ focus in whatever way suits the occasion.  This is not to say that we are supposed to and can pass up on reactions to sadness or turbulence.  We are certainly meant to experience these emotional reactions to their full extent, but we have to listen to the quiet voice and hear what it is attempting to convey to us.  These are our guides assisting us and our inner self prompting us in certain directions.  Always pay heed.

Always live your life to the fullest and above all else, stay in the moment.  Live for today.  Let yesterday remain in the past and be open to all that life has in store for you in the future.  Remember each and every experience is for our benefit regardless of our perceived severity of the events.  It is our path and each path leads to enlightenment and understanding.  We must leave our doors open and accept life with open arms.  Our reaction to life is always in our hands and we are the master of our emotional destiny.
