ANGLES IN A NATAL CHART IN ASTROLOGY

We have posted information concerning different time periods that affect most people in general.  It is important to understand that the natal chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of birth.  These planets and positions are frozen in time at the very second of birth and then are reactivated immediately after your birth.  These planetary bodies continue moving never to stop again within your particular birth chart.  This continuous motion of the planets after your birth is referred to in Astrology as transits or transiting planets. 

As these transiting planets continue their path, mostly clockwise through your natal chart, they make aspects or angles to the position the planets were located in at the second of birth (the natal chart positions). 

There are several major aspects as well as several minor aspects that these transits will make to your birth chart.  Depending on the type of aspect and planets involved, you will experience challenging or constructive events in your life.  Some aspects are event oriented while others are more of a deeper, inner level, where information gathered stimulates mental activity.  These aspects affect our thought process and reasoning ability.  Some of the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) have profound effects on our overall development and instigate transformations that may at first be subtle but intensify as we become acquainted with what is actually transpiring in our lives.

There are time frames in the planetary cycles that affect us all and we have touched on some of these in recent posts.  We would suggest that you have a chart diagram prepared showing the position or location of the planets for your birth time, (this can be done on many Astrological websites that have this availability).  You also can have a chart diagram prepared showing the transiting planets and their current locations today.  These two print outs together will show the transit angles to your birth planets. 

If for example you have your Moon in Scorpio at 11 degrees in your birth chart, the planets currently transiting between 8-14 degrees of any sign would be impacting your Moon.  Most transiting planets, particularly outer planets, begin to affect us when they are five degrees of becoming exact (approaching).  An exact aspect when referring to the Moon at 11 degrees would be a planet at 11 degrees; this is when the influence is the strongest.

Although we all experience events during certain time frames in our lives, also as these transits move around our chart they make aspects at any given time and will have impacts on our lives when they become activated (or make these specific aspects). 

This essentially is how a chart is read or interpreted.  Through recognizing the meanings of each aspect and planet, etc. we can forecast probable events by utilizing these aspects as they become active in your chart.  We can also ascertain potentials and time frames when these activities will be in force, how intense they will be and what can be gained through the experience.

Astrology is an amazing tool and offers insights into potential upcoming events.  Due to the varied nature of different planets, the energies of the planets supply us with information which can assist us to better handle these events.

HEALING

HEALING

There are many levels of healing that we can experience.  There is external healing, internal healing, emotional healing, spiritual healing, past life healing, healing of others and the list goes on.  Many physical conditions manifest as a result of deep seeded issues and many of these dis-eases can be altered or overcome once we recognizes or come to understand the seed that has caused them to grow.

There are also physical conditions brought on by viruses or bacteria, genetics, old age and accidents.  Some if not most of these conditions can be very challenging. 

It has been suggested that our first step to healing should be to review our attitude or response to life.  Do these need to be altered?  Do we hold on to stress, hurt and pain?  Are our responses to stressful situations one of understanding or do we meet anger with anger?  Do we hold on to worry about events that have long passed or do we worry about events that “may happen” in our future?

We need to look to see if diet contributes or creates some of our issues?  Do we honour the vessel we have been provided with for this life?

These conditions and reactions can be addressed and rectified.  We may need to seek professional assistance to undo a lifetime of creating and holding onto stress.

Many of these conditions are brought on as there is a need for change on some level or another.  The changes required may be changes in our life habits; they may be changes so that we consciously channeling positive energy and positive thoughts.  We can work with different energies to assist us with our overall condition.  Belief structure and expectations have a great impact on our health and in altering our attitudes we can put ourselves well onto the road to recovery.

It is suggested that we first look within to ensure that our potential problems do not originate there.  If they do, find outlets to channel these energies or ideas into a more positive outlook and attitude.  It is also suggested that if our body is speaking to us, we should never ignore it.  By dealing with our emotion wounds immediate, we can possibly eliminate the risk of disease in the future.  By dealing with our physical wounds immediately, we do not allow them to manifest into something greater. 

Healing begins when we change our lives including our focus.  Keep a positive attitude and do not own the chaos that may take place around you.  We have great healing abilities and there are many positive steps we can make by simply changing our focus in life.

There are many of us with challenging conditions.  Many of us require medication to help with day to day functions both physically and mentally.  Medicine and modern science has come a long way and mental health and awareness has also moved out of the dark ages.

We are by no means suggesting that you stop medication or that you not seeking professional advice and help.  We are suggesting that there are many proactive steps that can be taken that will work in conjunction with modern medicine and our medical professionals.  Reinforce a positive outlook on life.  Adopt good habits which will assist in releasing stress and will produce mindfulness.  Surround yourself with positive energies and people.  Carry out self study.  Understand your automatic reactions and realize your stressors.  Become self aware.  Know that you have a huge hand in your own healing.  Healing begins with you. 

Think of today as a new start to a healthier you.

TRANSITING JUPITER CONJUNCT NATAL URANUS

For those born between August 11, 1962 to September 28, 1968 and then again those born from May 21, 1969 through to June 25, 1969, you have your natal Uranus in the sign of Virgo.  From August, 2015 until September, 2016 there will be a conjunction between your natal Uranus and transiting Jupiter.

Those going through this transit of Jupiter conjunct Uranus can experience many unexpected events during the next year.  Jupiter, known as the planet that often provides good fortune and opportunities will be making contact with Uranus the planet that often brings new and exciting adventures into life.  Uranus’ action is very unpredictable but if you take into consideration the house Jupiter is transiting through and the natal house positioning of Uranus, you will get a rough idea of how this planetary link will manifest in your life.

Some may experience unexpected turns of events with respect to their finances.  In many cases this can be a good thing as Jupiter often offers potential for success and brings about opportunities.  Uranus is often associated with things coming into life at the spur of the moment and then often vanishing just as quickly.  Often what Jupiter brings to the forefront can be short lived.  However the lessons learned from the experience are usually well worth the change and new directions that it takes us.

If Uranus is well aspected in the birth chart, the chances for rewards are much greater than if it is poorly aspected.  Regardless of aspect, however, there is often a breaking free of old outdated things that no longer serve us and a beginning of something new and interesting.  There may be very strong tendencies for the need to break free, and you may be willing to take chances that you would not ordinarily do.  Jupiter will often provide the feeling that nothing can go wrong.  Optimism runs strong under this combination.

Life often changes at the drop of the pin, and you will not necessarily be ready for what will come.  It is often a good idea to just go along for the ride as long as no one gets hurt.  It is pretty much guaranteed that you will experience valuable lessons from the experience and when you are ready to move forward in these new directions, understand that what you left behind will undoubtedly not be there in the same condition as it was when you changed directions. This is acceptable as you have more than likely out grown these conditions and actually needed a push to be motivated in your new direction.

Be wary of become too eccentric with your choice.  Do not make moves without full consideration.  This is how we make mistakes.  Jumping into things without forethought is never a good idea, but the need to break new ground is strong.  Control your impulsiveness. 

Some will travel extensively during this conjunction; some will take on new challenges, new jobs, new romances and new adventures.  One thing is for certain; it will not go by without notice especially if you have some of the outer planets making important contacts to others natal planets, progressions and angles as well.  If there are other significant contacts during this year, it will be a very eventful year - one you will not forget and one that will probably change your life in many ways.

Expect the unexpected.  Adding in the fortunate opportunities that Jupiter carries with it, you may have an inkling of how this conjunction will affect you. 

Remember you always have choices to make and are not at the mercy of life.  Astrology points the way but you make the final decisions.

CONNECTIONS FROM THE PAST

What is the purpose for our returning to a physical body to live this current life?  Why have we chosen to get close to the people that are experiencing this life with us?

Have we returned to a physical existence to build on the previous incarnation and add to the process of our evolution?  Do we gravitate to people we have had previous incarnations with or is this life a new beginning and a fresh start for us?

Some of us believe that through evolution we choose to meet up again with people or should I say souls or spirits that we have had previous lives with and that we are all on the same life course although each of us travels many different paths.  Most of us believe that we are on an evolutionary quest and have return once again in physical form because some lessons are more readily learned or a more precise tool are used to learning the valuable lessons we require.

Many believe that we gather in groups together once again because we are close to the same level of evolutionary enlightenment.  Others believe that we meet up with other individuals that are developed on many more different levels of enlightenment that we are and we are attracted to them in order to gain needed information from them or to pass on important knowledge to them.  Most of us agree that there is some purpose behind our earthly lives and that we have come to experience this life for a reason. 

It is very difficult to say the exact reason behind our life’s quest with our limited earthly comprehension and it is difficult to prove that the information that we are gathering furthers this stage of our evolution. 

If we chose this life and the souls we have connected with to further expand on a spiritual level, it would be very important that we pay attention to those that we meet and those that we love.  They would not simply be here by chance and it would actually be a privilege that they have chosen once again to meet up with us as well.

These connections would certainly deserve recognition and appreciation even if the connection is not a loving one.  Perhaps the more challenging relationships actually have more significance than the easy flowing ones.  As a result we should not judge the experience with these people as negative or positive.

We must always follow our hearts for love is the only thing that is for certain.  We are here for a very short time span as the person we are today.  We have the opportunity to utilize life expanding tools on an ongoing basis.  We are fortunate to meet each individual that we do throughout our lives as we can gain great insight from one another.

Life is to be lived in the moment.  We are to recognize and appreciation our contact with others through love and compassion.  We are undoubtedly spirit experiencing physical form.  We undoubtedly will return to spirit (that life force that radiates deep within each of us) when this earthly passage of time is over.  What will we have learned?

FREEDOM TO BE YOURSELF

Do not allow yourself to be over-shadowed by what others want you to be.  There are individuals who are unhappy with who they believe they are and because of this, rather than dealing with their own issues or attitudes towards themselves, they push for others to adapt to their ideas of who we should be.  What we see and dislike in others is often what we do not like within ourselves.

We should never adjust who we are to please others.  We can be whomever we want to be and live our lives through love – love of self and love for others.  No one has the right to judge this.  Before we offer an opinion on someone else, which in reality is irrelevant, we need to have a look at ourselves first.

We have the freedom to choose our character traits and follow what feels right for us in that moment.  We can learn to see the character traits that make us happy and content, rather than those that make us feel less than what we want to be.  Freedom of expression if offered through love is our unquestionable right and we can be ourselves anytime and anywhere.

As mentioned many times, if we do not like what we see within ourselves acknowledge these things and then let them go.  In all cases, these are only ego generated.  It is our core that truly counts.  We just have to recognize this from within and then allow it to surface.  All that we need for ourselves is found in the moment.  By living in the moment, we allow our true expression of love to flourish.

URANUS ON THE ASCENDANT

Do you have an Aries Ascendant, particularly in or around 15 degrees, if so you have had transiting Uranus conjuncting this area of your chart since early June, 2014.  Uranus is presently in retrograde and will remain in retrograde until December 26, 2015.  At that point, it will be closing in on 17 degrees of Aries.

Uranus is known as the awakener and when it passes over your ascendant anything can happen particularly those things that need change.  This might include personal dealings with yourself and your understanding of who you are as an individual, along with changes to your domestic life (changes in relationships particularly marriage partnership).  You may change your appearance drastically, change your home environment and/or change your relationships.  You may encounter others that are somehow different and unique compared to those individuals you normally associated with.

There is a great desire to break free of any limiting conditions in your life that are stale or offer little in the area of evolution on a personal basis.  Many make drastic changes in life without much time to think about what it is that they are doing.  Some of these changes might not be advisable (compulsive actions), while others are exactly what are required.  On some level, these changes are necessary and although they may be abrupt or sudden in their nature, remember they are a requirement.

There are those that will buck the system and insist on not changing anything and if life is centred and we are working in accordance with what is required then perhaps they will not have to make these sudden breaks from the norm.  If, however, anyone with this aspect is in need of change and they will not make these changes on their own, sometimes life events force these changes.  Staying put and making little change is not advised unless as mentioned you are truly living solidly within the requirements of your destiny.  We all need to evolve and change with what needs to take place in life and with this aspect, this evolution is enforced if you are not willing to make the changes on your own. 

These changes can be somewhat unexpected and it is hard to define exactly what will transpire as Uranus is the awakener and its actions are very difficult to pin-point.  You can basically expect the unexpected when Uranus is making powerful aspects in your life.  By reviewing how your life has been moving along, you can have a vague idea if there will be gentle changes or drastic changes.  It should be understood, however, that these changes and desires for freedom are prerequisites to the needed changes that one must adhere to.

Beyond a doubt, it is best to go with what this aspect is showing you.  With this aspect, we would suggest that this is how you view these circumstances entering your life.  Look to the house that is ruled by Aquarius as well as where Uranus is located in the natal chart for some clarification as to what areas of life may be affected.  This review can possibly prepare you somewhat and you could also have a look at how Uranus is aspected in the birth chart to see how challenging these conditions might be. 

If Uranus is relatively well aspected in your birth chart, events may not be as aggressive or overshadowing, but if Uranus is poorly aspected in the birth chart, see what changes you should be making and make them before the aspect becomes direct in transit.  The exact day that Uranus crosses the ascendant in your chart will often be when events happen.

We are not suggesting that all hell will break loose, but you should ready yourself for some much needed change in life and a break from any restrictive forces that may have held you back previous to this time.  Let your life flow without interference and be as a bystander.  All in all this is an exciting period in life and will bring some remarkable changes to your life that will benefit you in the long haul.
