SATURN'S IMPACT AFTER ITS CONJUNCTION WITH THE ASCENDANT

We have previously discussed the effects of Saturn in challenging aspect to the ascendant.  What are the effects of Saturn’s influence after these challenging aspects? 

If you have planets within 5-8 degree conjunct the Ascendant, these plants would be in the first house.  You would experience feelings of release after the conjunction with Saturn.  The tensions created by Saturn will have lifted and its testing will begin to subside.  This may feel as though a great weight is being lifted off your shoulders--the pressure is easing off.

As Transiting Saturn tends to restrict and delay things, you may now be able to move forward with things that previously seemed to have been held up.  Things begin to move more easily and the flow of energy not only helps with life matters, but also you may feel more energetic as time passes.  Remember that Saturn’s most powerful influence is 2 degrees past direct, unlike other planets.  As a result, it may take as much as seven degree after it crosses your ascendant for you to finally feel its release and life begins to flow more smoothly again.

If life is still not moving freely, you will have to have a look at what might be further challenging life.  Do you have other planets making oppositions, squares or conjunctions to transiting Saturn?  If so the challenges may continue for a bit longer.  It is, however, important to understand that as mentioned in previous posts, these tests brought on by Saturn need to be addressed accordingly, as no steps can be skipped.  The changes that you made or the responsibility that you made will work out over the long run, as Saturn will reward hard work and disciplined efforts.

Saturn, although difficult to handle (tough love effects),does offer rewards for those individuals who are diligent enough to persevere through its testing periods and learn its lessons.  Saturn is the task maker but also a great teacher.  Hard work and discipline is its trademark but patience and structure are its benefits.  You have been building a foundation that will last for a long time which will be able to endure other hardships that will eventually come your way.  Your inner core will also be more resilient and will withstand life’s pressures on many more levels than it could before this astrological event.

Check to see what house Saturn is located in within the birth chart as this will be the area of life affected.  Also you should have a look at the aspects to both your Ascendant and your natal Saturn to understand on a deeper level what may have transpired and how the changes will have affected you on a personal level as well as those individuals that have shared this experience with you. 

It is never easy but the rewards are worth the pain.  You will now slowly begin to understand the process that has taken place and the lessons that were learned. 

The next challenging Saturn impact on the Ascendant will be in approximately 7 years.  The sextile and trine, both easy and influential aspects, will be on either side of this 7 year trend.

OUR VIBRATIONAL LEVEL

As we open ourselves up, we will become more aware of our souls’ or personal guides.  This all unfolds as it should.  We cannot hasten the process no matter how much we may wish to recognize the presence of these guides.  All events in life happen or unfold in their own time. 

We can feel the presence of our guides from time to time in different ways but whether we feel their presence or not they are always with us.  We will feel their presence in sublet ways and as we become familiar with these subtleties, we will recognize their continued presence more and more.  As we continually raise our vibrational level, we become closer to the vibrational levels of the spirit plain.  The gap continues to close as we continue our spiritual development.

Our quest is far from over, but the stage is set and we are on our way.  Many are moving along similar routes and we connect together.  Our development and growth is ours alone but we are never alone in our journey.

Have faith in the process and let go of control.  The process is out of our hands although our attitude and beliefs influence all.  Much is changing.  Eventually we will not be able to step back or deny what is.  Denying the truth is ultimately impossible and we will “discover” along our way…one foot in front of the other.

Take hold of your destiny.  Share it with those that are ready to understand.  Accept the process without restriction and the flow will accelerate.  We alone hold ourselves back.

TRANSITING JUPITER RETROGRADE

Transiting Jupiter went retrograde on January 8, 2016 and will remain retrograde until May 9, 2016.  It will be in the sign of Virgo and will move between 9-23 degrees.  If you have planets at these degrees and in particular planets in Virgo or linked by square, opposition, trine and sextile, you will be under the influence of this retrograde Jupiter.

The natal house position as well as the house that Jupiter is transiting will be the areas of life that will be being influenced in your chart.  The planets linked to this Jupiter transit will also have to be looked at and their nature and house placement will be part of the equation. 

There is the potential for dramatic change in these areas of life, but whoever is affected will have to put a lot of energy into making things happen.  Jupiter could be considered a lazy planet because of its positive attributes and the feelings linked to Jupiter are very easy going.  Although the energy is opportunistic, many affected will want to sit back and wait for something good to happen but effort may be required.  Sometimes we are able to just sit back and wait, although much depends on other transits to this position and the general condition of Jupiter in the natal chart as well as what is defined in the progressed chart.

Jupiter will offer a chance to truly get in touch with our inner personality and also our connection with spirituality and our own personal philosophy on life.  This is particularly true during this retrograde cycle.  This is a time for reflection on and integration of these philosophies into our lives.  We may reflect on life from a past prospective and desire to make changes to motivate us forward in a more progressive state.  We will, beyond a doubt, have to deal with ourselves up close and person.  We will have to take an honest approach and see things as they truly are.

As Jupiter makes aspects during this cycle, we can address these issues and make adjustments evoking a change in a positive manner.  This is a time of inner awareness and growth by activating desired conditions through a persistent effort.  Once again the area of life that may be subject to these desires for change is reflected in the houses under this influence in our own personal charts.  For example if the tenth house is part of the unfolding, you could work towards advancing your business or career.  If the seventh house is involved, you could set in motion the preparation for a wedding date or business venture with someone of great significance.

Jupiter in itself is very spiritual, altruistic and philosophic in its overall nature.  It promotes positive action, reinforces our connection with spirituality and is at its strongest during this period (and especially when it is stationing retrograde or stationing direct).  This could last for a few days upon the retrograde cycle and when it is finishing its cycle.  Check your 2016 ephemeris for the exact dates. 

Remember we will have to push ourselves forward during these times for any action to take place.

The house positions involved and the general theme of the progressions will define the details of this overall time frame.  This is a good time to review your choices in life and perhaps decide to take on more schooling or make plans for travel.  Investments of different natures under the right conditions, as defined in the overall condition of our charts, can be utilized and brought to fruition during this cycle. 

Some of the actions that take place during this cycle are coming to completion because of actions taken prior to this retrograde time frame.  This will be a direct result of past efforts by us and our affiliates.

Take advantage of this transit (although Jupiter does go into retrograde half of your life time), but use it now in correlation with your birth chart, progressed chart and other transits.  Have fun and enjoy the fruits of your labour.  Bring about positive transformations in your life.

RELEASE & BLOOM Part II

As mentioned in our post on January 6, 2016, our new identify only feels new.  The layers of self can be symbolized as a rose.  The inner petals have been hidden to us but nonetheless, have always been there. 

The beauty of self has always been locked away hidden by the outer petals of ego.  When the time comes to bloom, we have made changes within and these changes then begin to radiate outwards.

 

We begin to recognize this transformation taking place not only within our understanding of self but within the confines of our surroundings.  Others will be brought into our immediate circle to help nurture our journey and to allow our beauty to blossom.  The sun represents those that will walk this journey with us continually.  Each drop of rain represents different individuals that are here for a moment to give us precisely a drop of wisdom needed in the moment.  There will be insects that come and go but most will be there to add to our development even though the lessons they bring may be difficult.  Each individual has entered at the precise time needed for if they had arrived earlier we may not have been in the proper stage of development to understand or accept their pearls of wisdom. 

Those individuals that we were drawn to previously will begin to bloom along with us.  Each at their own pace as the various buds on the rose bush.  Others will be pruned away for the overall good of the bush.  Allow the release from these individuals or life can work its own methods of removing them from our lives.  There will be times that we are provided with ways to softly let go and other times, life will step in and change the course of our relationships.

Cultivate and prune as required to allow the most beautiful self to emerge.

NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN

The New Moon cycle entering Capricorn on January 9, 2016 brings into focus Capricorn’s tendencies to accentuate responsibility and opportunities for advancement particularly in fields associated with prestige and status.  This could clearly be reflected in our professions or careers.  This can be a time when we set into motion objectives to develop or improve these areas of life. 

The Full Moon will be in the sign of Capricorn on July 19, 2016.  This will be the time when you see the harvest of the fruits of our labour planted during this approaching New Moon.

Capricorn’s energies focus on achievement, reaching our objectives through hard dedicated work, without obstruction and without ever taking short cuts.  If we plan and act using these guidelines, our potential for success will be greatly improved.  We may not reach our goals completely but we will be well on our way to fulfilling these objectives.

The New Moon falls in Capricorn at 19 degrees, 13 minutes.  If we have planets in our birth chart within a five degree range of this degree, the energies of those planets will be emphasized.  The house placement of the New Moon will be the area of life that can be affected and planets natally aspecting your Moon as well as Saturn can show areas of influence.  If the Moon or Saturn is poorly aspected in the natal chart especially with one another, those individuals will have to work diligently towards their end result.  This in general applies to the theme, as Saturn the ruler of Capricorn, suggests hard work, discipline, diligent effort and rewards after great efforts.

It will be our responsibility to work accordingly and to not take short cuts, but also to work towards the end result with integrity and honesty.  Any slights on our part will undoubtedly work against us.  If the reputation or status of our occupation is on the line as we prepare for this work, the culmination of our results may be highlighted during the influence of the Capricorn Full Moon. 

Remember everything in life happens for a reason and if by chance we lose our job or if we fail to get that self-promoted initiative off the ground, this is meant to be.  We learn valuable information from our hard lessons which turn into stepping stones towards other new adventures.  There are no wrong turns in life.  There are sometimes crossroads and roadblocks particularly when Saturn is involved that seem to stand in the way of progress but they will help us in the long run.

Never hesitate to ask for advice from those in authority or reach out for assistance from our superiors during this time frame.  Those of higher positions can help us reach our objectives and any advice provided should be processed.  Sometimes a parent will be of assistance during this time and provide financial assistance or guidance during these steps towards fulfillment.  We can use the expertise of anyone who is in a position to help and it is actually recommended that we do so.  If we do not accept advice from those in the know, the chances for success may be thwarted, although hard work and a disciplined effort will do much in achieving our goals.

If we have aspects in the natal chart from the Sun, Jupiter or Venus, our chances of success with less effort are greatly improve.  If we have aspects from Saturn, Mars and Pluto, we may be subject to hardships, delays and ego interference.  Much depends on our approach and attitude as time progresses. 

Keep an open mind.  Push towards making things happen.  Approach your objectives with enthusiasm and zest.  A positive frame of mind and pushing hard will always work in our favour. 

Jot down your objectives and your intended path to achieve these objectives.  Let’s review our notes and the outcome in July during the energies of the Capricorn Full Moon.

MERCURY RETROGRADE

Mercury goes retrograde in motion three to four times each year.  Mercury went retrograde on January the 6, 2016 and remains so until the 25^th.  It is currently moves into the sign of Aquarius for a brief time and then goes back into Capricorn.  

It is suggested that Mercury retrograde will affect people who have it in retrograde in their birth charts more than those who were born with it direct.  As it moves through your horoscope make note of the house it is in, also see if it conjuncts any planets or angle during its motion.  The sign it is in during this time will be reflective of mental adjustments and will be aligned with the sign that any planet or angle is in within your natal chart.  It may also affect the area of life, dictated by the house positions, that are affected.  It is also suggested that you view your Mercury’s placement in your natal chart, its house position and the aspects made to it.  Much of what your natal chart suggests may be areas that will be affected by Mercury’s transit.

Mercury retrograde is not a huge life-changing event; however, it deserves mention due to the fact that Mercury is associated with the workings of the mind.  As Mercury begins to slow down or at least appear to slow down, some experience a slowing down in daily affairs and we will have time to reflect and contemplate life’s events.  It is considered a chance to go over old material that we may have ignored or left buried previously. 

We may review decisions or make decisions although quite often the best laid plans go astray during the retrograde motion.  It is best to wait until Mercury has completed its retrograde cycle and then if we want, we can move forward in the intended direction.  It seems that things working better after Mercury goes direct and have a greater chance of success.

It is suggested that we remains flexible during times of Mercury retrograde and not to sign any agreements or written documents.  It is suggested that there is a better success rate after the retrograde motion is finalized.  This is not to say that we should worry if plans are made or documents need to be signed during this period, as often times if Mercury is not making contacts with natal planets or is very poorly aspected in the birth chart, that things remain relatively tame and little interferes will be met with plans. 

This is a time of self-study, a time to reflect on who we are and what steps we might take to improve ourselves.  It has been suggested that individuals could experience something from the past that returns but in alternate forms.  Perhaps we will see a past lesson not well learned resurfacing or a concept that may have failed due to some shortcoming being readdressed.  We may now have the opportunity to make alternate plans or changes in direction and correct judgement calls when Mercury moves into direct motion again.

It is suggests that people and personal ideas are often the key to moving ahead in the proper direction.  Some experience insights on alternate levels that propel them forward in a new direction.  In most cases unless highly afflicted in the natal chart and afflicted in the transit through connection with planets or angles, it is not a time to be overly concerned as very little may actually transpire.

 

Use this time to activate your mental process as it now becomes stimulated.  Any area that has to do with humanitarian ventures or group activities would come under the influential rays of Aquarius.  Aquarius imparts special knowledge during this time that may be considered futuristic and is associated with Uranus the planet known as the awakener.  Deep thinking and reflective thoughts for the betterment of all concerned now can be awakened during this humanitarian connection.  Mercury moves back into the sign of Aquarius on the 14^th of February, 2016.
