SATURN TRANSITS MIDHEAVEN

As some of you may know, Saturn is known as the taskmaster, the teacher.  Its energies commonly defies anything new and looks for structure in life.

We thought we might discuss the conjunction of Saturn to the Midheaven.  The Midheaven along with the Ascendant are the most significant positions in the horoscope.  They generally indicate, when transiting planets cross these points, times of revelations and a time to push to begin anew or strengthen what is already in place.

With Saturn, the planet insisting on structure and a solid foundation, you will find that you are abruptly faced with new duties or you have to be accountable especially within the working environment.  There is usually a need for fine-tuning the framework you have put into place over the past 14 years or so.  Saturn takes approximately 29 years to complete its cycle around the zodiac and Saturn would have been in opposition to the Midheaven 14 years ago.  This is usually a time when we are paying close attention to what we have been doing with our lives.  With the current energies of Saturn, now may be a time to begin a new effort that should reach its climax when Saturn conjuncts the Midheaven.

The older we are during these junction points, the more relevant the issues pertaining to our occupation, our standing in the community and status will be.  We will now review our efforts that were initiated some 14 years ago.  The effects of these efforts will now be experienced fully.  If we have carefully built a solid foundation in these areas of life and prepared for our future, we may feel very ambitious and receive rewards for all of our hard work and planning.  If you have taken short-cuts in order to prepare for this period in life, and we have tried to avoid our responsibilities, we may now have to come to terms with these shortfalls and may have to alter the course of our actions.  If we took shortcuts, our plans may not be working out successfully and we will have to assess the damage and begin rebuilding, repairing and making necessary changes to help alleviate some of these issues and shortfalls.

When the planet Saturn crosses the Midheaven (MC) in our chart, it is usually very apparent, with or without knowledge of Astrology, as this is the climatic point.  Although it may happen rather suddenly, we will feel Saturn’s effects for a few degrees before it makes actual contact with the MC.  Sometimes Saturn, because it delays all matters and often leads to contemplation, the strongest effects are felt 1 to 2 degrees past the actual Midheaven point.

We will be faced head-on with the results of our efforts from over the past several years.  There is no getting away from what has been done thus far and we will either prosper from our previous actions or pay the piper and rebuild so that we can create a more solid foundation for our future.

LIFE'S LITTLE MYSTERIES

There are times in our lives when events seem to happen out of the blue.  These occurrences will seem as though they were preplanned or orchestrated with purpose.  Things seem to fall into place and life just happens.  It is as if what we needed appeared or responded at the precise moment they needed to.

These are “wonder” moments and although these events can be few and far between, they appear magically and light our way.  These enlightening experiences and enchanted moments happen and we are provided for or enriched perfectly for this particular moment in time.

Are these events preplanned?  Were we rewarded karmically for past actions?  Were these events synchronicities?  Did we create these events due to our intentions?  Does it really matter?

We cannot really answer these questions, but we can certainly be appreciative of the blessings that occurred.

It is wonderful how people, events, things or a knowing happen or arrive precisely at the moment we truly needed them.  Stay open to receiving these magical gifts and blessings.  They are part of the process and in line with our vibrations.  The more we acknowledge these, the more we will experience them.

TESTIMONIAL

Thank you Peter, for your beyond excellent work on my Progressed chart.  Having had some prior basic knowledge of astrology and of my natal chart, it was truly wonderful to experience your gift at such a high level of interpretation, and with such detailed, accurate description.

Additionally, your ability to relate so well interpersonally, and to communicate clearly and candidly, made this reading so very comfortable and pleasant.  I readily admit that it was likely the best reading I’ve had in the many discussions I have experienced over the years.  Moreover, your ability to address some of life’s transiting hurdles, as well as to offer suggestions on how to manage some of these crossroads was invaluable.

Thank you for sharing your incredible talent and gift with me, and the world.  I look forward to speaking with you again in the near future.

Wishing you blessings, love, light and all you deserve to you and your family.

THE BATTLE GROUND

We often wonder why so many people are faced with extreme turmoil. There always seems to be a relentless stream of sadness, sorrow, hate and injustice.  A day does not pass without some incident taking place somewhere in this world.

Tragic events are experienced by some individuals who have had no part in the creation of the event and are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, so it seems.  Why are these type of events such common place?  We understand that most of these incidences are brought on by human action with no regard to consequence.  Is this how we are to use our free-will that we have been given?

Some people, governments, and groups feel they can justify their actions.  It is believed that the whole is more important than the individual but the bottom line is violence invokes violence.  As a result, the circle of aggression continues without resolution, without peace and often with no positive action taken at all.

If it is so easy to justify aggression; surely it is just as easy if not easier to justify harmony and balance.  Is it not possible for us to live in peace and offer one another the support that is so desperately needed?  Can we not find peaceful resolutions and common ground for all to share?

Peace and harmony begins with each of us.  We are the starting point.  Family and friends are often where the lines are drawn on the battle fields.   If we cannot make peace with those whom we love, how do we make peace with strangers?  Can we release our ego’s need for power which will serve to release our need for greed and to hate?

Love is within each of us and easily found if we care to look.  It holds no grudges and causes no intentional pain.  It comforts those that hurt and satisfies the hunger whatever that hunger is inside each of us.  It is boundless and leaves no one out.  Love is committed to peace.  Love just is if it is allowed to flow freely.  Look into your heart, open it without fear and allow life’s most valuable gift to be given.

Be one with the truth yet respect other’s truths.  Spread love, for through love, there must be forgiveness, peace, tranquility, sensitivity and compassion.  It begins with each of us.  It is ours to give freely.  It is always available for others and do not forget for yourself too!

SUN IN ARIES

On March 21, 2016, the Sun moves into the sign of Aries which is a Cardinal sign as is Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

People with Aries as their Sun sign are active individuals and like to be involved in all that is going on in their world.  They are rather restless individuals who seem to have a lot of energy and drive to achieve in life.  They are usually the first ones to move forward on a venture, without worry of failure or fear of not having what it takes to make this endeavour a success.  If they happen to fail or fall short of their original goal, they are quite willing to get back up and start again.  If the idea does not move forward, they are quite willing to let it go and start on another project.

They prefer to be active and truly hate being bored.  Because of this, Aries individuals often move forward head first into whatever they have their sights on.  They live in the moment and are concerned with their own private activities although they also focus on their family, their home environment and their profession.  They have no problem when it comes to taking chances and because of this, they may have to make many attempts at succeeding on any particular goal.

If they find resistance to their goals, they have no problem going it alone.  As a matter of fact they would probably do better going it alone, as they work better by themselves or prefer to have a lead hand in what takes place.

Aries is a Fire sign and this energy can make them impulsive, spontaneous and very productive, but their hearts have to be into whatever they attempt to achieve.  They can be inspirational to others with their great enthusiasm and zest for life.  They do, however, need to realize that other people also have their own agendas and needs, and what the Aries individual is looking to achieve is not the most important thing to everyone.  It is natural for Arians to put themselves and their personal interests first.

Aries are self-motivated and do not need others to propel them forward.  They also have the ability to move others out of their complacency with their great enthusiasm and optimistic approach to life.  Once they make up their mind on a course of action, very little will stand in their way.  Life would be a little less repetitive for them if they would stop to take a moment to weigh out all possibilities and likelihoods before taking action.
If an Aries individual wants something and this includes love and romance, they will pursue it relentlessly or at least until they find out whether or not the other person is interested.  They can be loyal if they find someone who is willing to follow them and will move mountains to help others.  They can be very kind-hearted and willing to lend a hand, but these are from the more advanced Arians.

Their persistence is admirable as is their ability to pick themselves up after hardships.  We could certainly learn resilience from these individuals.

Aries individuals are entrepreneurs by nature and are always in the forefront of groundbreaking activities.

Find yourself an Aries individual to love and to share your life with and you will never be short of activities to pursue and dreams to fulfill.

HARD LESSONS

Even with our positive thinking, channeling the mind, positively dealing with stressful circumstances that crop up in our lives, it still, at times, can be difficult to accept that good people have to go through so many difficult experiences.

The road of life certainly has a tendency to push and pull us in different directions.  All of us have been involved in some difficult situations and I do not know of anyone who has not had challenging routes to walk.  When we think of karma, it is easy to associated karma or pay back to those that we label as corrupt.  Karma is appropriate when we think of what is owed to such self-centred individuals.  It feels just and fair, and in most cases, we feel the payback is of their own making.

So why do good people also have such difficulties?

If there is reincarnation, karma might make more sense as the karmic ties may be from events that occurs prior to this life.  Why then do we, in our new chosen life, have to pay for actions that we cannot recall?

Whether these difficult events in life are ties to past lives or not, we cannot eliminate the fact that the lessons must certainly be necessary for the soul’s growth.  Maybe these events are not karmic at all.  As human, living this earthly existence with our limited understanding, it is difficult to comprehend the “whys” behind events.  We do understand, however, that nothing in life is co-incidental and all events benefit the growth and expansion of our higher self.

Our reaction to life’s events is our choice.  We can get caught up in the events and bask in self pity and the “whys” or we can accept, acknowledge and move forward with a better understanding.  The amount of time that an event affects our lives simply through our focus is in our hands.  There are times that we will face life events that we will never understand the purpose behind but it is inevitable that we accept in order to move beyond the lesson.

Perhaps someday, we will understand, but until that then, we can choose to continue our journey with our minds open to all possibilities.  The truth shall be revealed to us someday, but until then swim with the current of life.  It is the route of least resistance.

If we welcome good karma with open arms, all things do balance and we should be open to accepting our difficult karma when it is due whether we understand it or not.  We can continually build good karma in this life which will not only positively add to our future karma, but will also help to balance some of the more challenging conditions that we experience in this life.  We can do this for ourselves, not just to build on our good karma, but because it is appropriate and it is how we wish to live out our lives.

There are hard lessons to learn.  There are times when life does not seem fair, but we are always at the helm of our response and our focus.   We can make attitude changes that will not only affect our lives today but will build a future for us that will carry us forward beyond death.

TRANSITING PLUTO IN OPPOSITION TO THE NATAL SUN

Transiting Pluto moves very slowly through the zodiac, moving a little over one degree on average per year.  This means that if you allow a 4-5 degree orb of influence when applying and a 2 degree orb separating, you could have Pluto in opposition to your Sun for as much as 3-4 years.  The time when Pluto is direct and perhaps receiving other aspects from other planets at the same time will be when its influence will be at its peak.

Pluto has been in the sign of Capricorn for several years and will remain there for a while yet.  Capricorn has to do with a slow climb up the ladder of success.  It also speaks of a steady approach to life, never missing any rungs that are relevant to this climb.  Slow and steady wins the race and whether this race is of the energies of the seventh house of relationships, in the twelfth house of spirituality or in the second house of finances for example, Pluto will have you dig up any unresolved issues that might be hindering your climb up the ladder of success within these life areas.

Capricorn is not a risk taker.  It is predictable in its nature, although subtle in its actions.  It prefers to remain in the background and will apply itself at the most opportune moments when its impact will be felt the most.  It can be low key although when it speaks, people generally listen.  It is not very flexible although persistent when in pursuit of a cause.  It is comfortable in taking the long route and adheres to lessons learned along the way.  It is ambitious and will pursue a course of action with great determination stopping at nothing until it reaches its goal.

The Sun is our energy drive, our need to prove ourselves in ambitious terms.  It acts as a catalyst for success and pushes us forward.  Much depends on its natal placement and sign, and using these energies, it will push in the intended direction.  The sun is the ego drive and the will to achieve.  It is also our inner most self.  The Sun is quite different from our ascendant sign which is the face we reveal to the world.  The Sun’s energies is who we are at our core and the driving force behind this persona.  Our goal is to unite the Moon, the Sun and the Ascendant in order to be whole and also to connect with our Moon’s nodes, when deciphering our objectives in life.

When transiting Pluto is in opposition to our Sun, we have to watch for becoming involved in power struggles with others—do not forget the Sun is our will.  Sometimes we may be so caught up in finding our course that we may push others in a direction that only suits us.  We will need to pay particular attention during this transit to make sure we take into consideration other peoples’ needs.  Oppositions usually involve other people.  Watch for a desire to dominate others or watch for others attempting to dominate us.  There is often a great need to prove ourselves correct and win the argument or our position on the matter.  Being open and discussing things appropriately is the best way to move through these challenging conditions.  This is particularly true in close personal relationships, both romantic as well as business.
On the positive end of this opposition, if we pursue our goals in a forthright manner and are open to assistance and to listen to advice, this opposition can bring great rewards for hard work and persistent efforts.  Our ambitious self is amplified during this period and we will want to prove something to people in authority or even people who are our subordinates.  Watch for power struggles with people in authority as they will have the upper hand and can shut us down when they feel the opposition is too aggressive.

We must take care of ourselves physically during this time as the amount of energies applied can be overwhelming.  Sometimes people get run down during these times or have personal issues because of the need to win at almost any cost.  Practice patience and keep the temper under control.  Using the appropriate action will win us favours and also show our positive characteristics.  Take it slow and watch for adversity.  This is the best advice that can give.
