LIFE'S BEAUTY

Have you every purposely taken a close look at all that surrounds you?  Are there trees and gardens?  Are there nature trails nearby that you have taken advantage of?  Is there a body of water close by?  Are there farmers’ fields?  What types of shops and buildings are in your area?  Have you looked around your home and actually been thankful for all that is available to you? 

There is so much beauty that surrounds us yet so many of us spend our days busy listening to the babbling voice in our mind.  We miss the enjoyment of the moment and see very little of what is next to us. 

Have a look around you right now as you are reading this post.  I mean a really good look.  Don’t just scan your surroundings.  Focus to see all the little details in your surroundings.  Take them in and feel their presence.  Let them make an imprint.  Why ignore what is right in front of you?

Now go a step further.  Review your life itself, your children, your other half, your pets, your parents and brothers and sisters, all of your family whether blood or chosen, those whom you work with or see regularly at work. 

Now go even deeper and pay attention to those that you pass on the road, in the store, on your walk or in the movie theater.  Take it all in during the moment and let this “seeing” spill into your day.  Pay attention to it all.  Experience breathing in the air...actually feel the warmth of the air or the coldness of the air.  Experience how it feels on your skin.  Feel the warmth of the Sun.  Experience the stars.   Feel the energy of the Moon within you.  Take in the fragrances of all that surrounds you.

When people are on holidays, they take in much of their surroundings and experience life much more than when we are living our day to day life.  Why don’t we focus on everyday life just as we do while we are on holidays?  Each moment is special and holds its own magic.  We CAN open our eyes to that which we normally take for granted and feel life’s experience.  We can even feel life’s vibrations and our interaction with what is taking place in our lives if we place our focus there.  We can also experience intuition and a connection to all living things if we choose to pay attention to these energies.  This and so much more surrounds us each and every moment.  What are we missing?

The next time we feel life is offering us nothing, we should have a little peak at what is right in front of us.  If life feels difficult it is not because of the events that are taking place, it is due to our attitude of what is taking place.  All this that we fight will eventually pass but these events would be much easier to experience if we just accepted.  We are not suggesting that we allow ourselves to be a victim.  Quite to the contrary; we cannot allow ourselves to be victims.  We can take control of our reaction to life and insist that it will benefit us, not knock us down. 

When life is what we term as good, we can hold this energy in our hearts and be thankful.  Our hard times offer growth and our wonder moments provide us with happiness and peace.  Experience it all.  Time waits for no one.  We are only here for a short time in the grand scheme of things, but in the moment, we have eternity.  Gratitude and happiness are within our grasps always.  Take advantage of what life is offering but we have to recognize this to enjoy it.

TRANSITING URANUS CONJUNCT NATAL SUN

This aspect between Uranus and the Sun is a very fruitful and dynamic aspect.  It is an aspect with energies that are concerned with freedom of expression, without restriction, and with the ability to be who you are regardless of what others think.  In many ways, it is a new self-expression without limitations; free to be if you wish.  You are barred from any restrictions.  It is an opportunity to be more than you have been in the past, a chance to throw away any self-doubt and a chance to break barriers that have held you back.  If you have imposed limits on your self-expression, this will be the time when you can let them go.  If you need to make a break from the past, this will be the time when you move out into the world and become or allow your true self.

SUN IN PISCES

The Sun moves into the sign of Pisces on February 19 in 2017. 

Those with their Sun in Pisces often have focused energies on serving a higher purpose.  Many are mystically inclined and those that are not given to such predispositions are, at the very least, very open minded and willing to learn.  They understand on an intuitive level that there is more to life than the so called usual day-to-day activities such as working, sleeping and eating.  Those with a heavy Pisces influence in their charts are in search of life’s real meaning.

GOING THE EXTRA MILE

It is said that if you are going to do a job…any job, always do your best.  It does not matter what others think.  Their opinions are simply that, “an opinion”.  It can be difficult to be on your toes when it comes to doing the best you can, but how can you truly be satisfied with what you do unless you give it your all.

The end result is not as important as the effort put forth.  We are human and we will never do everything perfectly but we can give it our best shot.  Do not be too critical when you do your own personal review.  We cannot ask for anything more than our best.  

Putting out our best effort can and should include our job regardless of the type of work we do.  We may feel that our job is unimportant.  Remember this is just an opinion as well.  If it were not important it would not exist. 

When we give our best, we feel better about what we do regardless of what it is.  This can be especially important when it comes to meeting the needs of those around you.  Family and friends deserve your best effort and remember, what you put out comes back to you.  We will come across those that do not seem to have gratitude but that it their journey not ours.

Most important, do we do our best for ourselves?   Do we treat ourselves with respect (without ego being involved)?  Are we grateful for our own capabilities, our accomplishments, etc? 

Believe in yourself.

What we do in our “everyday life” will have a profound effect on those around us as well as on self.  When we give ourselves completely, even to what we consider the mundane daily routines, we can feel good about what we do and our efforts. 

Life’s daily circumstances sometimes will dictate just how great the results of our efforts may be but do not be too critical on yourself.  Do your best and be the best person you can be.  Everything else will fall into place.

TRANSITING URANUS SQUARE NATAL ASCENDANT

Transiting Uranus square the natal Ascendant can affect you in very personal ways.  It quite often involves relationships, your occupation (especially if Uranus is also making an aspect to the MC), your home and family (particularly if Uranus is also making an aspect to your IC).  There may be great challenging condition linked to all or some of these life areas.  Uranus is always about moving out of restrictive conditions in life--anything holding you back and stifling your evolution on some level is subject to changing conditions through Uranus’ influence.

Uranus may also bring people into your life that initially may appear quite different than those you are accustomed to being with and these people may help to facilitate some change that perhaps should have taken place some time ago. 

This square can be quite disruptive when it comes to close personal friendships and especially with your marriage partner.  Some relationships break up all together during this time while those that are built on more solid ground will still go through some needed changes, but remain intact after this transit is over.

This transit could also affect your home environment.  Some individuals with this aspect may redecorate the home, while others may seek a new place to live.  This may cause some problems as things under Uranus’s influence seem to happen quite suddenly and often when least expected.  Old patterns in life which a short while ago seemed quite appropriate are now subject to great scrutiny and also might see great changes.  What once was, no longer seems to suit life’s purpose or seems to be stifling you.  You will see some much needed changes to your life.

Sometimes people come into your life and they are behind these sudden changes that take place.  These individuals may be the spring board that initiate the changes that are necessary, and you may find that sometimes they vanish from your life as quickly as they came into it as they have fulfilled their purpose.  They are the catalyst for change and sometimes without these people coming into our lives we would remain stagnant for longer periods of time and as a result, very little in terms of growth occurs.

Although this aspect can be quite disruptive, it should not be considered negative.  These changes and the need to break free and start anew or change direction is actually just what is needed.  Those that know you well may have trouble figuring out who you are becoming and may not agree with what you are trying to implement into your life.  They may feel that your actions are somewhat rash and impulsive and often things happen without giving anyone notice.  This can be quite upsetting for those that know you as steady and reliable.  There is a new you emerging and those that are not open to that individual may have to find ways to accept what you are becoming. If not, they may find that they are removed from your life, as their companionship now no longer serves any real and viable purpose.

You are more of a free spirit at this time and in many cases after this transit has completed its cycle what you knew as “normal life” no longer exists and a new course has been set in motion.  It may take some time to fully appreciate what has taken place, but the changes that were set in motion during this aspect are usually quite beneficial.  If at all possible, try not to jump into situations and think things out before you make a move.  If life has been dull or you feel stuck and complacent, however, you just might need to make the change that is presenting itself during this aspect.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

The definition of LOVE is the intense feeling of deep affection for another person or living thing.  

There are so many different forms of love…. the love given to a partner, a child, a friend, a stranger in need.  Each and every living being and animal that exists offers an opportunity to express and share love.  

There is also another form of the love.  One that is most often forgotten and yet is quite important; this love is the love for self.

Take a moment and reflect on the wonders of your life with all of its complexities, your friends and the loved ones you are and were so fortunate to share this existence with.  Can we utilize this day set aside for “love” without focusing on material exchange or money spent but by sharing our presences with those that we love.  

We can enhance our life’s experience by showing the love we have for others, without measure.  For the individuals that hold a special place in our heart, why not confirm our affection for them today.  Then take it one step further to allow this sentiment to be expressed each and every day of the year through a special gesture or word. 

Just as important, can we not take this opportunity to spread our love to those we may not know - strangers we meet along our path?  There are many among us that are alone and in need of a loving gesture no matter how small.  Create a ripple effect that is generated by one small gesture or one small action of love. 

Today can be the beginning of an endless expression.  We can regularly do something meaningful for our loved ones without it being a special day.  We can express our love in our own special way on a day that those that we care about would never expect it.  We can become spontaneous and act on that little whim which surfaces from time to time.  These impromptu moments of showing we care are the most special moments.

February 14 is a day celebrated by many lovers but if you were to take the time to read the legends, you may questions why, as the story does not have such a happy ending.

We can celebrate love, romantic or otherwise, every day.  Life itself is a celebration of love and we share this planet with every living thing in existence--even plant’s life thrives when shown love.  The magnificence of this life carries with it the sharing of love in many shapes and forms.  We simply need to open up to the beauty and love that is generated around us and within us, each and every day!
