SUN IN TAURUS APRIL 20 2017

April 20, 2017, the Sun moved into the sign of Taurus.  Taurus is a fixed, earth sign and it tends to identify with material objectives.  This does not necessarily suggest that they are motivated towards material abundance, although a nice home and furniture and a comfortable car do appeal to them.  Taurus individuals seek comfort and security and if they satisfy these needs, they feel sheltered and safe in their environment.  They do, however, strive to find a place within where they are comfortable both emotionally and financially (so that they can be equipped for comfort well into old age).

Although they are sensuous individuals, they are not sexually submissive or overindulgent.  They are true to their nature and would not cheat or be unfaithful once committed and make good reliable mates that can last a life time if under the right conditions.  When they love, they love with all their heart.  They will also do their best to support you or at the very least do whatever is in their power to ensure security.

JUPITER RETROGRADE FEBRUARY to JUNE, 2017

Jupiter has been in its retrograde cycle since early February, 2017, and remains in this cycle until it stations and turns direct on June 9.  Jupiter is in the sign of Libra and will be positioned between 13 to 23 degrees while in its retrograde cycle.

If you have Jupiter retrograde at birth, this often indicates that in a previous life there may have been difficulty and a feeling of not reaching true goodness on some level.  This life, as a result of what was lacking in the previous life, will be about moving towards happiness, contentment and growth in the areas of life indicated by the placement of Jupiter by sign and house in the natal chart.

Retrograde cycles (except when dealing with Saturn) deal with action of planning, setting things up, and preparing for when the planet goes direct again.  The direct motion will be when the opportunity for achievement or success will be highlighted.  Growth and expansion are indicated in areas related to romance, marriage, social interaction and creative balance (with the current Libra influence).  This is what we work towards when Jupiter is transiting through Libra.  Sometimes on rare occasions unexpected luck comes into play after this cycle is complete but there have to be indications leaning in this direction in the birth chart. 

Aspects to Jupiter and its placement in the natal chart will help you understand what areas of life are affected, what to expect and the overall conditions of what might take place.

WHAT IS YOU PHILOSOPHY FOR LIVING?

Life, if we allow (and we are certainly human), can be stressful at times.  Through these more aggressive lessons, we are impacted greatly both at the time and certainly as a beneficial tool in days to come.  Nothing is by chance.  Your meeting each person along the way is neither accidental nor unintentional.  Each event in our lives has purpose.  We may not always understand the underlying purposes but it is there whether our human mind can understand or not.  Perhaps one day we will understand but it may take shedding this human vehicle first.

MERCURY RETROGRADE, APRIL 10, 2017

Mercury went retrograde on April 10, 2017.  It will move from 4 degrees Taurus as far back as 24 degrees before it goes direct again. 

There is always much panic about Mercury retrograde.  Before we go any further, it is important to understand that unless you have Mercury retrograde in your birth chart or if Mercury while in retrograde touches a planet in your horoscope within the degrees it will travel during its retrograde motion, you may not be overly affected by these energies.  However, those that do have Mercury retrograde in their birth chart and particularly if you have a natal planet either conjunct, square or in opposition to the degrees that Mercury will be influencing, you may be strongly affected by Mercury in its retrograde cycle.

Mercury in its retrograde cycle can have profound effect on planning or the signing of documents.  It is best to avoid any negotiations during this specific cycle which ends on the 4^th of May, 2017.  You may find that things do not work out the way you have planned.  There may be delays.  What you are trying to push forward in your life seems to run into snags.  Sometimes nothing seems to run without some type of hitch.

Anything that deals with material acquisition during the cycle when Mercury is in Taurus (which is until April  21, 2017) should, if possible, be left to be finalized for another day once Mercury goes direct again.  While Mercury is in the sign of Aries any self-initiated enterprises that you might have been thinking about venturing into should also be avoided, if at all possible.

The general condition of Mercury in your natal chart will also define how these energies will pan out for you.  If Mercury is poorly aspected then the mind is unclear on which path to take and avoiding documentation or the signing of agreements is a wish choice during this time.  If the alignment of Mercury is in good shape in your natal chart, you might still run into snags but with some struggle these could possibly be worked out.  Either way it is best to wait until the retrograde cycle is finished.

Check you chart to see what house position transiting Mercury is in as well as the placement of Mercury in your birth chart.  These will be areas of life that are affected.  Those without Mercury retrograde in their birth charts may also run into some snags during its retrograde cycle although not as profound as those who have Mercury retrograde in their birth chart.  Some people with Mercury direct in their birth chart will experience nothing of significance at all during this cycle.  If, however, they have other planets within the degrees mentioned during the Mercury cycle, these areas of life and the planetary energies may be affected.

Sit back and plan your strategies during this Mercury retrograde cycle and then make your moves after it turns direct again.  If however you have to complete tasks during this cycle and you can’t put it off, proceed with caution.  Make sure you have everything properly in place and read the fine print before signing any documents.

NURTURE & HEAL

The act of caring for others can be on many different levels and can be appreciated by anyone regardless of age, gender, or even physical distance.  Nurturing is generally a natural response, but before we can truly heal others we have to spend time and focus on ourselves.  Are we hanging on to past events, words, lack of action?  We cannot overcome dis-ease until we acknowledge what is causing the lack of ease in our lives, which more often than not can simply be our focus.

Most problems may appear to stem from a specific traumatic incident in our life and it may have scarred us on a very personal and deep level.  No matter how traumatic the incident may have been and who it may have been carried out by we unknowingly injure ourselves by harboured the energies and our expression of these experiences.  We unknowingly can own these events  and make them our own.  When we face the issues and acknowledge that we have made the chose to hold onto the energies, we can then move beyond the barriers and move forward to shake these energies and ultimately travel forward freely in our lives.

We have the power to heal all wounds but it comes from focus and self love.  We will not find the solutions to our challenges from external force.  Release is an action that comes from within.  Only we can release ourselves from the grips of our experiences.  We can hold on to resentment and anger and allow is to flourish today or we can release the anger so that it can remain in our past where it belongs.  Forgiving is a large part of the solution, but not just towards those that have mistreated us.  Most importantly, we need to love ourselves enough not to make someone else’s actions our own personal baggage.  If the actions that caused our dis-ease are a direct result of our own actions, we then can accept that those specific actions were taken but again they are in the past and have nothing to do with who we are today.  Forgive and leave the past in the past. 

The only responsibility we have in this moment is to allow forgiveness and this means to let go and not hold on waiting for revenge or self punishment.  These reactions serve no purpose but to further feed the dis-ease.

As a witness to this with loved ones, there is a part in most of us that wants to assist in their times of trouble.  The recipients of our compassion however must first want to help themselves and then to accept guidance and support.  Unfortunately, there are people that embrace issues in their lives as they feel these issues give them identity and even though difficult, that way of life is familiar and comfortably uncomfortable.  The unknown frightens some of us and it is easier to stay within these conditions than to move beyond into the unknown.  Besides, issues and tough life conditions, provide attention.  As a result, some people refuse to move beyond their focus and past conditions.

Healing can be done on many levels and through positive focus and healing thoughts and energy, we can assist ourselves or others who need help healing.  Do not be dismayed if you do not see immediate results.  We are all connected on some level.  We all subconsciously share feelings, thoughts and energy......positive energy and thoughts that can assist those who appreciate the help. 

Make sure that self-healing is a priority.  We can more readily help others when we are in a positive and healthy state. Allow and focus on loving vibrations.  If we all moved forward with this, imagine the positive effects we could have on our world.
