TRANSITING URANUS CONJUNCT NATAL VENUS 2017

Transiting Uranus will be in the sign of Aries for about one more year.  It is in the later degrees now.

This post will apply to anyone who has their natal Venus in Aries at any degree.  Venus’ energies are gentle and mild-mannered.  They represent love, compassion and are social.  In the sign of Aries, these energies take on a new flavour.  Although Venus’ energies may still be loving, compassionate and social, it will maneuver in a much more aggressive manner under Aries’ influence.  Someone with Venus is Aries can become quite aggressive in their pursuit especially when connected to love and romance.  This is not a gentle placement for Venus.  In Astrology, it is considered to be in its detriment. 

If you have this placement, it can create restless, aggressive even overwhelming energies at times.  This is largely due to your outgoing attitude and enthusiastic approach when it comes to socializing, particularly if Gemini or Leo is also strong in the birth chart.  Some with this aspect, marry early in life or jump from one relationship to the next.  Taking other people’s needs and feelings into the equation will be a lesson well learned in this life, especially if your Venus is poorly aspected.

Venus in Aries is already impulsive; now imagine it combined with transiting Uranus.  Uranus is known as the awakener and really wants to stir up anything that has been left for dead or has become dormant over time.  It seeks something new and reaches out for excitement.  Transiting Uranus will be a lot for Venus to handle, and you would be far better off taking the necessary time during the aspect before jumping into situations, especially involving romance.

If a relationship has gone stale, this may be the time when you want to wake it up, add some zing and vigor and make it exciting like it once was.  You may do things on impulse and act out of the ordinary while this combination is enhanced.  You may also reach out for something new especially if in the past you have tried to invigorate your relationship with no success.  Make sure you have exhausted all avenues before making a rash decision.  Ensure that you are not jumping into something you only perceive as love at the moment.

Since Venus is all about socializing, you may find that you are invited to weird and eccentric get-togethers with different people.  You can expect the unexpected during these occasions.  If Neptune is involved you just might fall in love with some exotic partner and find them refreshing, unusual and different in their mannerisms.  Again, make sure you see what is actually there.  You might be disappointed later if you jump immediately.  Ask a friend for their opinion or take some time out before you jump into action.  You have probably made some mistakes in the past and should have learned from these mistakes.

All in all, this could be a very exciting time.  You can meet new and exciting people and enjoy life like never before.  Have fun and enjoy the energy.

One more thing, any get rich schemes that might show up during this period, must be investigated thoroughly and ensure you understand all angles before you make an investment.  Avoid impulse!

HEALING EMOTIONAL WOUNDS, PART I

Emotional baggage is exhausting to evaluate in order to overcome but especially to carry around unresolved. 

To overcome our baggage, our minds have to play with information and actually face whatever events have taken place.  Once we have faced these events, we have to go through a process deciphering what has taken place.  We have to be able to categorizing these event or situation so they fit nicely into our emotional boxes and if we have the energy to continue, we have to make a decision as to what will be done to recover from the event.  The mind plays with the information creating interference and more often than not, our minds make the matter much worse than they actually were.  Our minds, over time, can also build on the information and exaggerate the original experience.  

Many of us have experienced events that have been very devastating.  These events have caused emotional wounds that run very deep.  With most events in life, we have little control over the actual event but we do have control over how we process and deal with these events.  Do we accept or do we fight the process? 

It is important to separate ourselves from these events.  They are not who we are.  We do not own these events.  They do not dictate how we feel unless we allow this.  Letting go or accepting can be one of the most challenging actions we can do (especially when it comes to losing loved ones). 

We certainly need time to process and to adjust to our new lives but acceptance is important.  We will never forget but we can accept and this is essential in order to be able to move forward with living.

When we are called upon to move in new directions, no matter what the reason, the changes can be massive and the adjustment period can be challenging.  We CAN adapt however.  It is part of our nature.  The end of any one condition no matter what it is always brings with it a beginning of something new. 

A part of us, deep within, will understand that the transformation is a requirement and sometimes life changes dramatically so that we can move out of complacency or a place of stagnation to find what is necessary for our own personal spiritual growth (and we are certainly not specifically speaking of someone’s death.  Our reference is general).  Everything in life happens for a reason, although we may not always be able to figure this out.  The answers often unfold over time and the why behind things begins to make sense (but not always).

As mentioned, this could involve losing a loved one, but it could also be expressed in many other ways.  We might step out of a relationship of significance or someone may leave us when we believed that the conditions were good.  Sometimes we have to make changes to our occupation.  Sometimes we need to physically move away from those that we love and are comfortable with.  The possibilities are endless.

Change, however, is inevitable.  It can come when we least expect it.  Do we sit and live in fear?  No because that is not living.  We adapt; we overcome; we flourish.

NEW MOON IN GEMINI 2017

We will experience the energies of the new Moon on May 25, 2017. 

The energies of a New Moon are conducive to new beginnings.  Review the characteristics of the energies of Gemini.  For your convenience, we are including a link to Sun in Gemini.  This will provide you with a basis for the Gemini energies.  www.holmastrology.com/sun-in-gemini  With these qualifies in mind, focus on something new that you would like to expand on.  Also review what Astrological house is being affected in your chart.  (www.astro.com is an excellent site to create a natal chart for free.)  By doing this, you are working with the energies that will easily flow for you specifically.  In six months from now, during the Full Moon in Gemini, you should realize your goals as this will be the harvest of whatever you plant under the current New Moon.

If, for example, you have been thinking about starting a project based on writing or teaching, this period could mark the prep time so that you can prepare and step into the process at the end of the year.  Gemini speaks of versatility, changeability and adaptability.  As a result, you can expect this subject or project to undergo some transformations along the way.  Change is inevitable or at the very least most likely.  Move forward with this in mind as it will prevent you from being let down when you make changes and adapt as you move along.  Once a set plan has been put into place, however, aim to stick with the process.  With the influence of Gemini, it is possible to go to extremes and be unhappy with anything that you are doing.  It is perhaps possible that you could feel that it is not suitable or something is missing or it is not what you wanted to do in the first place which can be excuses not to continue as you become bored.

The Moon will be at 4 degrees of Gemini, and you should not only look at the house placement (as this will be the area of life affected), but also look to see if this degree is conjunct any natal placement or in an aspect with other planets or angles in your horoscope.  The aspect will define how these energies will play out. 

The conjunction is the most powerful, while the square often suggests some tension.  The opposition always implies that other people will be part of the process, while the trine and sextile add opportunities to the overall condition of this lunar placement in your chart.  It does not really matter what aspects are involved as you can do anything with these energies although some might require more work than others.

Moon in Gemini might simply imply interaction with others and stimulation of the communicational network.  You may find that you are busier at this time and that your energies seem to be scattered.  Bring focus to all of your efforts and stay on topic.  Do not flit from one thing to another without at least applying yourself. 

Your emotional energy might also be heightened during this period, especially around the beginning of this aspect.  The emotions may also be heightened if you have your natal Moon connected somehow. 

Saturn can add some stress to things and bring some challenges or obstructions along your path, while Uranus may bring powerful insight and something new and exciting to the forefront, with new paths and exciting times.  Neptune can make things intriguing and add a little mystery to what takes place while Jupiter can expand what takes place and also bring some good luck your way.  Mars can bring energy and sometimes sexual energy while Venus and Neptune especially if both are in tight aspect and in a favourable configuration can bring the potential for love and spirituality.

THE END RESULT

After a life of many gains and many losses and you are lying on your death bed, what do you think your last thoughts will be? 

Which of your accomplishments will still hold significance?  Will you be focused on your accomplishments?  As you draw your last breath, what will matter most?

All material goals at some point have to be left behind.  What then is the true purpose of material goals? 

If we live long enough to retire, anything that was significant and had meaning in our working world is also left behind.  What we did, the authority that we had is fleeting upon retirement.  Our accomplishments may be remembered by some but the person is soon forgotten.  We may have created change within the business that will serve those that follow up in a very beneficial way but we personally as an individual will never be known to those that come after us.  Is this important?

TRANSITING JUPITER CONJUNCT NATAL VENUS

Jupiter is known as the great benefactor and often bestows good luck, good fortune and expansion into everything it touches.  When connected to the planet Venus the planet of love and romance, it often brings good fortune into this area of life.  It offers a peaceful time and you may find that your lover or your friend brings out the best in you.  You feel comfortable and your mannerisms are gentle and very loving.

If you are in a new relationship, this could be when the relationship will grow to new depths and this aspect will offer not only love and excitement but also enough space so that you can make a choice as to when you want to be together and when you prefer to be by yourself.  In a new relationship which may have a lot to offer, you may find that you want to spend more time together however you probably will not feel tied down.  You find that you both give the other enough space and freedom to be yourselves, especially if Uranus is somehow connected to this conjunction.

This is a great time for social gathering and you may find that you wish to share your life with more people during this aspect.  Party going in wide open spaces may be very appealing especially when connected to nature. 

Watch for becoming too lavish as Jupiter has no boundaries.  Also watch for overspending as when this transit is finished, you may find that you went overboard.  You may also be tempted to travel to lush and beautiful surroundings at this time.  Foreign culture may be very exciting to you and you may even meet someone while abroad.

Self-indulgence on some level is likely. Be careful not to overdo things.  Many will gain weight during this time as food seems very tasty.  As you can see, you will enjoy life on many levels.  You want to be around beauty and anything gruff and abrasive does not suit you during this time.  Move away from these.  You are meant to enjoy yourself and share your life with those that matter to you most.
