Mini Forecast for Sun in Pisces

TRANSITING SATURN SEXTILE NATAL SUN

Transiting Saturn will be in the sign of Capricorn all of 2018 and will move from 7 degrees in February, 2018 and turn retrograde (appear to be moving backwards) in mid-April, 2018 at 9 degrees.  It will reverse back to 2 degrees and then go direct once again in early October, 2018. 

Saturn’s energy in retrograde works more favourably then when it is in direct motion.  Its energies are refocused, and rather than stifling and restricting, they are more favourable.  With dedicated work and discipline, you can get much accomplished while building a strong foundation under the retrograde influence.

The Sun in an astrology chart has to do with goals and aspirations and when in sextile to Saturn some of these goals may become quite attainable, particularly those that you have been working towards over the past year or so.  Saturn does not do well with quick decisions and new starts unless the aim is to correct, reformulate or generate something that will be fruitful for a long time to come.

The sextile always implies that opportunities are at hand especially if there are other factors in the chart that indicate similar energies.  If, for example, you have Jupiter or Venus in positive aspect to the Natal Sun, the chances for advancement are increased.  If Mercury is involved then this will be a time of planning and using your mental focus to form prime directives that can be very useful in the future.  If a plan needs to come together now and you have done the preliminary work, this may be a great time to forge ahead, although the steady approach works best.  Rushing in is never suggested and do not expect immediately results, although while Saturn is in retrograde its energies and steadfastness is pushed to the forefront and opportunities may come your way.

If this is work related in your chart (house location), this is a good time for recognition of hard work and diligent efforts.  Those in positions of authority might recognize the effort you have been applying in your job.  Some may find that recognition comes through financial rewards; others may find that they now seem to have more responsibilities but much depends on the overall condition of the natal chart.

Review the house your natal Pisces Sun is located in within the birth chart, as this will be the area of life that might be affected and also have a look at where transiting Saturn is in your natal chart to provide you with further indicators of how the energies may pan out and what other factors are involved.  The house that transiting Saturn is moving through may provide the momentum to propel you forward, while the house that the natal Sun is in will be the area of life that now has opportunities for advancement.  As mentioned, always have a close look at the natal condition of your Sun as any factors will have a part in how easily or how challenging the conditions will be while trying to move ahead under this influence.

FULL MOON IN VIRGO - MARCH 1, 2018

On March 1, 2018, we will experience a Full Moon in Virgo at 11 degrees.  This full moon is referred to as the full “worm” moon as the earthworms start to make their appearance which will be a welcoming sight for the robins soon to make their spring return.  The full moon is also referred to as the full “crow” moon as the caw of the crows will echo in the trees signaling the end of winter is near.  One more noteworthy name for this full moon is the full “sap” moon which is quite self explanatory. 

As many of you know, the Full Moon is the time to harvest whatever seeds we planted, particularly those seeds planted under the influence of the New Moon (in Virgo) some six months earlier.  This is the time when we reap the rewards of our efforts.  If we were diligent, we will be rewarded for the job well done or we will be settling for something less because of an effort that fell short of what was needed.

 

Virgo (the current full moon sign) deals with putting life in order and organizing all the little intricacies that come our way.  Virgo wants organization and structure.  We filter through life’s conditions, make changes necessary so that life flows more smoothly, analyse what we will need to do with these alterations and equip ourselves with what suits us best for this particular moment in time.  Sometimes we work towards the betterment of conditions yet to surface and other times we focus on creating order and even perfection in our affairs.

Virgo is a very organized sign and if things are not in their place, it is often an indication that life needs some re-vamping.  We need to address what needs adjusting and organize our lives so that everything flows more easily.  Having an honest look at our lives in the moment will help us understand what we need to put in place (both within ourselves and for our external life conditions) to move in an appropriate and more beneficial direction.

Currently (March 2018), transiting Neptune is in opposition to the Full Moon.  This often indicates that affairs are not in order, or there is some confusion that is making things seem unclear.  This could refer to other people, as oppositions always involve other people in our lives.  Checking the house position of both this lunar positioning as well as transiting Neptune in your personal chart will help uncover who this individual might be.  Always look to the house position to find out which area of life is involved.  Check your natal chart as well as your solar return for a clearer understanding of what energies are at work.

Also, it is important to understand that unless you have other factors in your chart close to the 11 degree mark, especially by conjunction, this Full Moon may go by with little to no influence being noticed or felt by you.  The more planetary aspects or important angles involved in the equation, the greater the influence of the energies of this Full Moon in your life. 

Please note that Virgo is the sign of detail and also of service.  Do not spend too much time analysing yourself, as you will focus on many flaws that are undoubtedly not as significant as you may currently feel that they are.  Instead, have a look at the positive characteristics you possess as well as all of the positive energies in your life.  Focusing on these positive matters will bring more positivity and gratitude to the forefront.

PSYCHIC POTENTIAL UNLEASHED THROUGH THE NATAL CHART

We are repeatedly asked if there is any links found in the birth chart indicating potential for psychic abilities as well as indicators of intuition.

It is believed by this Astrologer that all people have the potential to unlock psychic abilities but it is imperative to believe that these are talents dormant within.  The birth chart does, however, indicate those individuals that may be able to access these abilities easier than most.

The following traits are normally found in birth chart of those with developed psychic abilities or potential.  We have also found that those not blessed with the following traits in their natal chart may have indicators through the progression of the planets at some point in their lives.  Remember, however, the birth chart is a lifelong blue print of your journey, forever unfolding.  You can overcome any challenging aspect found within the natal chart by promote positive energies into your life through your focus and by utilizing the energies and trends offered during specific times in your life through such as transits and progressions.

It is more common for women to have more psychic characteristics than men.  This is due to the fact that in order to bring these abilities to the surface, we have to utilize our instincts and sensitivities.  Most women have through their nurturing nature developed these traits early in life.  This is not to say that men do not have these qualities, as today’s men are learning to develop their compassionate and sensitive side.  As a result, we are seeing more men enjoy their psychic abilities.

Quite often people with Grand Water Trines have psychic or intuitive abilities as their sensitivities are often not hindered.  Many people with a strong element of water in their charts, particularly Pisces and Scorpio, have links to psychic potential.  Sometimes those with the signs Aquarius and Sagittarius and the planets Uranus and Jupiter strongly aspected especially by Neptune, the Sun or the Moon in their charts have these qualities.  Strong planetary links to the water houses (4, 8, 12) have the same potentials.

Ties to Neptune especially with Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, the Sun and the Moon often produce these qualities.  Pluto and Neptune in close sextile also often points in this direction.  Those with a North or South Node connected to Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer have these abilities.  The North Node suggests talents that have yet to develop but will be pushed to the surface in this life, while the South Node suggests that these psychic potentials were cultivated in a past life and are carried forward and usable in this life.

Saturn to Neptune may steady the psychic abilities and keep the individual grounded.  Alternatively, it may suggest a hindrance or blockages in developing this potential.

Rising signs often carry potential for psychic abilities especially Pisces or close ties to Neptune of a positive sort (sextile, trine or perhaps the conjunction) to the Ascendant (Rising Sign).  Cancer rising can also suggest psychic abilities, often suggesting strong mothering instincts and a nurturing personality.  The same potential exists with Scorpio rising (although the mothering is not as innate as those with Cancer) and those individuals having a strong tie to the planet Pluto.  As a result, they must watch for wanting to dominate this God-given talent, which will create blockages.

As you can see, there are many links associated with the easy flow of psychic potential and intuition.  The more these characteristics are found in your birth chart, the stronger the potential for easy development.  The greatest enemy to building psychic abilities is fear or those that seek power and dominance through their potential.

This potential is a gift that should be used for the greater good.

LUCK AND GOOD FORTUNE

How do we measure luck? 

We have heard that “luck” is good fortune.  How then do we attract good fortune? 

What is your definition luck and what is your thinking on attracting luck?

Let’s stop for a minute and have a look at ourselves without judgement, if possible. 

Are you considered elderly by today standards?  If you are then you can say you have lived a long life and this could be considered luck, good fortune…..a blessing. 

Are you middle aged or young?  Have you met some of your expectations or scratched items off your bucket list?  Make sure you truly review your life.....accomplishments, things you have learned and built on, actions that made you feel fulfilled or good inside.   

Have you reviewed your life in this manner before?  Perhaps you took much for granted.  Perhaps you accepted your life achievement without due recognition.  After this quick review, take a second look.  Now with this second look what would you consider your accomplishments?

Do not forget you job or occupation, regardless of how you categorizing it by monetary gain or standard.  How different would life be if you did not have this job?  What is you were unemployed and without income? 

Do you have family and friends?  These are people you share your life with.  Some of these individuals you will enjoy their company and others may not be that enjoyable but they bring valuable lessons to the table.  How fortunate are we to have these people in our lives?

Do you enjoy good health?  Even if you do not, has your life been good to this point?  If you suffer from ailments or disease, what have these issues brought to the table for you?  What valuable lessons are being learned through your less than perfect health? 

Are you living in comfortable surroundings?  Do you own a car?  Are you able to buy clothing so you feel comfortable with your appearance, warm or comfortable physically?  Do you have your own shoes or boots?  Can you take a shower with fresh running water?  Have you eaten lately?  Do you have occasion to go out for dinner?  Can you cook and do you have the resources to do so?

Each and every one of these is a blessing that so many of us in the developed world take for granted. 

Can you process thoughts rationally?  Can you communicate?  Can you meditate?  Do you acknowledge the miracles and magic that happen each and every day in life? 

Ours lives are filled with blessings.  Perhaps it is time to recognize our lives for what they are rather than complain about  what we feel is missing.

 

We live in a beautiful world, surrounded by scenery and events that should fill us with wonder and awe.  We have clean water, food to eat and a place to call home.  We share our lives with family and friends who support us and we in turn support them.  What a blessings.  How fortunate we are!

What mysteries lie ahead and what wonders will we uncover.  Take a moment to be grateful and to recognize just how fortunate you are.

TRANSITING URANUS OPPOSITION NATAL SATURN

These two planets are opposing forces in many ways.  Saturn represents discipline, stability, structure and gradual movement towards a goal.  It does not like change or any kind of disruption and is quite willing to wait for things to settle before moving forward.  Saturn’s energies are reliable, secure and offers rewards for perseverance and hard work. 

Uranus, on the other hand, represents the need for change, disruptive energies which often initiate change, freedom seeking once again through the agent of change and seeking the new because the old outdated ways no longer serve a viable purpose.  As you can see these planets oppose each other and their energies are quite different. 

In opposition, which often suggests that the energies in place stem from outside sources (often from the actions of others), we will find that Uranus will uproot what once was a stable and secure situation in life.  Often, if intimate relationships are part of the equation, people will separate, new relationships are formed and changes in the most secure relationships take place.  If the relationship no longer satisfies the need for more space or more freedom of expression, changes will take place.  If someone new and exciting comes into the picture, people may leave what was once a comfortable and satisfying relationship.  Sometimes the feeling that a change must take place could have been felt for some time and this aspect will create an event to take place that will force the change.  Sometimes it is someone else that instigates the change or some other outside influence.  One thing that is frequently associated with this placement is that longevity is not a common factor (when it comes to any new relationships).

If this aspect somehow involves the workplace or occupation, changes often take place in these areas.  Uranus’ action is often sudden and unexpected, and people will leave places where they have been employed for many years in search for something more in line with what they want or what they need.  One thing is almost certain, the changes that take place are often seen as drastic with little forethought and the behaviours can be rash.  These changes are, however, often put in place because a change of direction needs to take place and as one settles into whatever area of life goes through this process, they will come to realize the reasoning behind what took place, although this could take up to a year to be realized.

As transiting Uranus will be moving into the sign of Taurus in 2018, your Saturn will be in Scorpio for this opposition to take place.  You will probably be feeling the pull for something new or for change in your life up to 5 degrees approaching and it will take up to 2-3 degrees once it is past the degree of your Saturn before it is finally settling in. 

Check you chart to see which houses transiting Uranus is moving through when this aspect takes place.  Check which house your natal Saturn is located in.  Also have a look at the condition of Saturn in your natal chart, as well as the house that natal Uranus is in to get a clearer picture of what areas of life are involved and how the energies might play out.

SUN IN PISCES - FEBRUARY 19, 2018

The Sun moved into the sign of Pisces on February 19, 2018.  Venus and Mercury as well as Neptune were all in Pisces.  As you can imagine this is a powerful time for those with their Sun in Pisces.  Pisces is a gentle, passive and compassionate sign and unless there are other factors within the birth chart, these qualities will reign true for most Piscean individuals.  Pisces is a dreamy sign, with one foot in the mystical existence and the other foot gently on the earthly plain.  It is important for those with strong Pisces tendencies to have both feet firmly planted as we are currently living a physical life with spiritual lessons.  The spiritual realm often comes natural for many Piscean individuals.

Perhaps the reason some of these individuals have a real problem with aggressive life experiences may be due to their tendency to try to avoid the challenges life sometimes dictates.  As a result, some may have problems with alcohol and drugs to blur harsh realities.  It is, however, important to face adversity and deal with it accordingly, or the root issues never really goes away.  Running only allows one challenge to build on top of another.

Pisces people are often psychically gifted.  These energies can be overwhelming at times and may not be what these individuals are truly looking for.  They just want peace and tranquility and perhaps if so inclined be able to harness these psychic energies.  In most cases, the mystical side of life does hold their interest and they are known for their recollection of vivid dreams and their ability to somehow know what others are feeling.  This is a “feeling” sign and much of how they relate to the world comes from their emotional senses.

Some Pisces people can be gifted or inspired in the arts.  This could include painting, music, literary creations .....all artistically inspired works.  This will be particularly true if the Sun or any other planet(s) are found in the 5^th house.  There can be a creative edge with these people.  Even those with Neptune in the first house close to the Ascendant often have mystical qualities or artistic abilities. 

If you find yourself somewhat mystified because of a close love acquaintance at this time, this could be because of Venus and Neptune moving together and joining forces later in February of 2018.  You as a Pisces, might feel that you are drawn to this individual and that this love feels to be idealistic.  You may place your lover high on a pedestal under this influence and might not be seeing all the little flaws until the air clears or the fog lifts. 

You may feel inspired to write about this experience or just to write about the mysteries of life.  This might be a good idea because Mercury’s link to Neptune and your Sun in the later stages of February and into March, 2018.  Make sure you keep copies of what you write as they are probably inspired by higher sources and might provide magical insight to be used personally at a later date.
