NORTH NODE IN ARIES

 As mentioned in our post from November 30, 2020 “North Node in Virgo”, the North and South Nodes also known as the Dragon’s Head and Tail and these two nodes are always opposite one another.  The North Node is linked with energies associated with Jupiter and the South Node is linked with energies associated with Saturn.  Both energies can be used in a positive sense however.  The North Node is tied to this life and what we are meant to pursue and push ahead with, regardless of obstacles.  The South Node is tied to a previous existence of significance also tied to this life but its energies should not be used to find shelter in.  The North Node can be uncomfortable due to the newness of the experience and the South Node is a comfortable place because we are familiar with its path.  Please see our November 30, post for a little more general information on the nodes.  www.holmastrology.com/apps/blog/show/49545246-north-node-in-virgo

 

With the North Node in Aries, the South Node would be in Libra.  Those with their North Node in the sign of Aries have come into this incarnation to propel themselves ahead in life, often without the help of others.  They are entrepreneurs and are often the first ones when it comes to pushing ahead, even at the cost of mistakes that will be made along the way.  This is in part due to rushing and not taking the necessary time to assess all the details and the potential for failure before leaping ahead. 

 

This, however, does not matter with a typical North Node Aries that knows their path.  Reluctance is not part of the picture and they will push through or at least should push through adversity or setbacks to achieve what they set out to do. 

 

North Node Aries individuals who are pursuing their path are self-directed, motivated, action oriented and leaders.  This is the path that they are meant to walk even if they run into challenging conditions along the way. 

 

If you have this positioning in your Astrology chart and find that you are dependent on others for advice or rely on someone else to start a process for you, you are working from the wrong end of your Nodes.

 

With a Libra South Node positioning, in a previous incarnation, you held little regard for what you wanted.  You always had someone else’s best interests at heart, and you did what you could to support others and, in many cases, this would have been your partner.  Now some Libra South Node individuals may marry and others have decided to do this on their own.  The South Node Libra had a strong desire to create peace and harmony in all relationships and would bend over backwards to assist those that came to their door.  Now, in this incarnation, they must push ahead with pursuits.  This is not an ego centred objective.  They are here to learn self-reliance and depend primarily on their own resources.

 

Libra is a balancing sign, and this time around, things may seem a little lop-sided as they seem to be leaning more in their own direction.  These individuals should be pushing forward and not so much for the sake of others as they did in a previous life.  Now they should be pushing in directions that are building character and inner resolution essentially building confidence in their own abilities. 

 

If they fall short, they will need to pick themselves up and not get caught up in the “failure attitude”.  They must pick up and start again until they get it right. 

 

This life is about the Aries North Node individual so they are to propel them self and not to worry about where that might take them.  They are to be a leader in their own right and stay on course.

STAYING STRONG IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY

 There are often times in our life when we are confronted with pressing life issues.  It can be very difficult, but we continually meet the challenge and grow from the lessons.  There are times that we are aware of our powerful internal resources and there are times that our energies are low and we feel powerless.

 

There are times that we cannot find the courage or determination we need to conquer.  It is during these times that we define ourselves as weak and can be carried away by events. 

 

It is important to realize that these issues whatever they may be and however difficult they may appear, have been directed into our path as a lesson to learn and overcome.  They are not in place to permanently crush our spirit; although our first impressions, which is always the most difficult to handle, might appear that way. 

 

We have the resilience to overcome anything life throws our way, regardless of what you may think.  However what we think is our biggest obstacle. 

 

If you were assisting a friend under the same circumstances, what would be your approach?  Encourage your own ability to persevere and maintain an attitude that will help alleviate these conditions with the intent to overcome.  We have more strength then we sometimes acknowledge.  We are provided with challenging conditions to learn and to build confidence in ourselves and to recognize our capabilities.

 

See the condition or event for what it is……factual not opinion.  There is no running away from these lessons to face them head-on.  Often when we remove the emotions and see the lesson for what it is, it usually is much more manageable than first thought but the longer we wait to confront the issues the more time your mind has to make a molehill into a mountain. 

 

If we ignore what life has brought before us, the lesson may come at us even harder on its next approach. 

 

No lesson is too big to tackle.  Do not let you mind create what is not there.   The mind tends to exaggerate many of life’s situations and often the giant, when faced head-on and with an attitude of “I can do this”, shrinks to a manageable situation.  It is human nature to fear the unknown but we still place one foot in front of the other and move forward.

 

Life can provide difficult lessons at times, ones that are life changing.  We have the tools, however, to overcome anything that comes our way and the tool may be asking for help. 

 

Stand tall; recognize your abilities, your strength.  Channel your thoughts in directions that help you learn the lesson at hand and enjoy the education as best you can

NORTH NODE IN VIRGO

The North and South Nodes also known as the Dragon’s Head and Tail are always opposite one another.  The North Node is linked with energies associated with Jupiter and the South Node is linked with energies associated with Saturn.  Both energies can be used in a positive sense. 

 

The North Node is tied to this life and what we are meant to pursue and push ahead with, regardless of obstacles.  The South Node’s energies are tied to a previous significant existence also tied to this life but we should not fall back on and find refuge in these energies.  The North Node can be uncomfortable due to the newness of the experience and the South Node is a comfortable place because we are familiar with its path.

 

The sign placement and house position define where we are meant to go (North Node) and what we have brought with us to assist in this life’s journey (South Node).  Some Astrologers feel that the house placement is more relevant than the sign and others feel that they deserve similar importance and that both are quite significant in their own way.  The house position is the area of life where we play out the energies of the sign position and the sign position is the expression we are meant to pursue.

 

With the North Node in Virgo, our objective first and foremost is to be of assistance, as this is a service-oriented sign.  We have come to align ourselves closely with this path of service with great accuracy and total commitment.  There are no halfway measures, and nothing less than perfection should become our objective.  However, we may not reach perfection but the more we strive for this, the further we move in that direction.

The South Node in Pisces speaks of a life potentially tied to religion and spirituality and also a life of service however this previous life received no rewards or recognition.  It was selfless in its pursuit and was not connected to ego.  This was an enlightening time with insight and inspiration and a strong connectedness to the psychic side of life.  From a different perspective, this previous existence may have been linked to escapist tendencies, like the use of drugs or alcohol or not facing any challenging conditions.  The North Node is what needs developing while the South Node is what we can bring forward into this life to assist in our North Node objectives.

FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE

 We will be experiencing a Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse on Monday, November 30, 2020 beginning at 2:32 am and finishing at 6:53 a.m. EST.  This eclipse lasts a total of 4 hours and 21 minutes with its exactitude beginning at 4:42 a.m. EST.  It is located at 8 degrees and 41 minutes in the sign of Gemini. 

 

For this eclipse to have an effect in your chart, you will need to have planets within 3 degrees of this position.  The conjunction, opposition and square will have the strongest impact, while the trine and sextile will have an influence but not as profound. 

 

This Lunar event makes a quincunx which is considered a minor aspect to transiting Venus out by 3 degrees in the sign of Scorpio and a conjunction although out by almost 4 degrees with the Vertex.  Quincunx aspects are considered challenging aspects which require adjustments, while conjunctions bring an emphasis and with the Vertex speaks of a turning point.  Since Venus can be associated with love and affection and also finances, there may be a turning point in these areas.  However, the placement of these positions in your personal natal chart and how they tie in with other planetary aspects or angles will tell the story regarding your personal life.

 

Lunar eclipses are said to last in months the duration of the eclipse in hours, so this means that the influences will come into effect and last about 4 ½ months, (some individuals, however, say the effects of this event can last as long as one year).  This eclipse, being in the sign of Gemini (an air sign) and its ruling planet being Mercury, suggests that this will be a time of intellectualizing in regard to the areas of life involved.  The area of life is determined by the houses under its influence.

 

The lunar eclipses always have deeper influences.  On a social level regarding the masses, it shows the mindset due to information coming through at that time.  If any planets cross the degree especially by conjunction, they will stir the energies connected to the eclipse.  Mars by conjunction or opposition and the Sun will particularly add to these energies while Saturn will often end situations, if Saturn is in play that is.  Mars will often spur major happenings if making contact.

 

Mercury, the ruler of this eclipse, has to with communication and everyday activities.  Gemini is very versatile and becomes bored easily unless something new begins.  Changeability is commonplace and open conversation is advised. 

 

Eclipses bring change.  A Full Moon Lunar eclipse is a time to purge and let go of things that no longer suit life circumstances.  It is a culmination point when we begin to take note of what has been in place and move to the next level.  We often reap what we have sown.  Careful consideration should be taken before we plunge into action or on the contrary, consideration of the actions we need to take as we may in the past been avoiding making a decision and therefore no steps have been taken.  Do not forget we are speaking of the energies of Gemini and the planet Mercury.

 

Some individuals fear eclipses.  In many cases, eclipses foster change but these changes are needed and should be considered essential.

 

Enjoy the energies at hand, and unless you have other mitigating factors in your natal chart connected to this positioning, you may find it has little impact on your life.  This is not considered a powerful eclipse (nothing like the solar eclipse coming up in December, 2020).

CONQUER

Fights or Flight?  Which is your normal response?

 

Life will throw events your way.  They can and will be difficult.  There are many events that we would rather not face.  We may feel very hesitant to move forward but these events only serve as lessons to conquer not to distance ourselves from.

 

By conquering any difficult situation or at the very least giving it our very best, we gain insight into our inner resolve and tap into strength that we may not have realized we had.  We discover something within that does give us hope and confidence, that instigates action, that require courage but that also can make us self-assured.

 

Take that leap of faith in yourself.  Step forward and see where it takes you. 

 

Build character and initiative. 

 

Failure teaches us many lessons.  Do not be afraid to learn.  Have resolve. 

 

Know that inside you have whatever it takes.  Be confident!

 

It is not important that you conquer every mountain in life but it is important that you keep climbing.  It is not about always winning because losses have their valuable lessons.

SHORT FORECAST FOR SUN IN SAGITTARIUS

 Focusing on the sign of Sagittarius ruled by benevolent Jupiter, we will be speaking primarily of the transits from Saturn and Jupiter.  When Saturn and Jupiter are in the later degrees of Capricorn, semi-sextile to those with their Sun in the late degrees of Sagittarius, an opportunity is sometimes at hand.  Semi-sextile speaks of being in the right place at the right time and this is what this transit will relate to. 

 

By mid to late December, 2020, both transiting planets conjoin in Aquarius making a sextile to those with their Sun sign in the early degrees of Sagittarius.  Sextiles are also opportunity aspects and sometimes these prospects or possibilities just seem to fall into our laps.  Sometimes we need to take advantage of the energies at hand and literally do something to move ahead.  We would always suggest that we take advantage of given opportunities rather than wait for these potential energies to present themselves and work on their own.

 

Jupiter and Saturn, however, have totally opposing energies.  Jupiter wants to expand and fosters good luck and an opportunity to leap ahead because of the energies at hand.  Saturn on the other hand often holds us back, presents us with somewhat challenging situations and in turn fosters the potential through hard work and diligent effort to work our way through these obstacles in turn gaining insight from the experience.  So, there will likely be some push and pull at the same time for those with their Sun in the early degrees of Sagittarius particularly in December, 2020, and early January of 2021.

 

Perhaps, this ties into holidays for those that celebrate this festive time.  Christmas will likely look very different from the regular customs with family and friends.  We may struggle with being generous and buying expensive gifts (Jupiter) or being cautious due to the finances and current conditions (Saturn).  What route do we take? 

 

Check to see which houses are involved in the equation as this will be the areas of life involved.  Check which natal planets and angles interact with the Sun and these transits. 

 

As we move into the New Year, Jupiter and Saturn will make sextiles to those with their Sun in the other degrees of Sagittarius although they will no longer be in conjunction with one another.  This ends by the end of January, 2021. 

 

Jupiter will be out of Aquarius by May 14, 2021 and then it will be making squares to those with their Sun in Sagittarius. 

 

It should be noted, of course, that under most conditions depending on the other factors in the chart, Jupiter even though in challenging aspect to the Sun will not be overly concerning.

STUDENT OR VICTIM?

How have you been handling life’s pressures lately? 

 

You have managed to get this far and you are still standing tall.  It is amazing just how resilient we can be. 

 

Pay attention to every door that opens.  We have options and we will overcome and grow from each life lesson that we are presented with.

 

When we seem to be at our weakest point and ready to give up hope, we can turn a corner and see that needed glimmer of hope.  Unfortunately, some people are so engrossed in feeling as though they are a victim instead of a student, they overlook the opportunity being presented.  We build walls to protect ourselves without realizing we are cutting off our view and any inspiration that may come from outside of self.  We can build walls and veil ourselves with negative thoughts and beliefs that only serve to hold us back and deny us of the growth that is rightfully ours.

 

We can be our own worst enemy, because we convince ourselves that there is no way to learn the lesson at hand.  These thoughts of disbelief and inability become our undoing and hold us back from learning and growing. 

 

Listen to the quiet voice that says you can get through this; you can find solace once again.  As long as we limit ourselves and are captive of our negative beliefs, we have little to no chance of moving forward.

 

Most often we blame life’s circumstances.  We may not have a choice on what lessons are being learned but we do have a choice on deciding to learn these lessons instead of fighting them. 

 

We WILL encounter tough life experiences and some can be excessively difficult BUT they do not define us.  These are not punishments.  They are lessons.  See these lessons as opportunities to grow.  There are silver linings if we care to see them

 

Lift yourself out of the victim attitude.  It does not serve you.  Stand tall and learn the lessons.  You truly have the strength to overcome anything.  Nothing, no matter how challenging it may seem, is beyond your management.  You can overcome anything, but you have to believe that this is possible. 

 

You are in control always.  Be the Victor.  YOU CAN DO THIS!
