SATURN TRINE URANUS 2017

Transiting Saturn will be in trine to transiting Uranus all of 2017. This post will apply to all individuals with their Sun in Capricorn between 17 and 29 degrees. The post will also apply to individuals who have other planets also within these degrees (without having their Sun in Capricorn).

To begin, we will look at how Saturn and Uranus blend with one another. The current aspect between these two outer giants is a trine. Trines, in general, suggest easy flow and opportunity; this is what we all wait for in life. It will be many years before we have this trine between these two planets again.

Although the trine is considered a favourable aspect, Saturn does not do well in any aspect, but the potential for the outcome turning out favourably is increased. There are always trials and tribulations connected to the energy of Saturn as it is the teacher but if we learn the lesson being taught, we have much to gain, in general.

The energies of these two planets do not sit well with one another. Saturn is very conservative, while Uranus is unconventional and erratic in its nature. Saturn wants things to run slowly and over time develop into something worthwhile, but hard work, diligent efforts and patience are keys to this final outcome under the influence of Saturn. Uranus wants things to happen now and is all about waking you out of your complacency. Uranus operates in erratic and unpredictable ways.

Together, these planets want to join together the old and the new and provide an end result that promises a future that can be depended on, but many mistakes may be encounter along the way because of rushing. Uranus wants to push away from old outdated structures and Saturn will collide with this because it only believes in what has been tried and tested. Saturn does not wish to break free even if restrictions are part of holding on. Saturn believes it can work with restrictions.

You may find that although you are comfortable within structures that have been built up over time, you will also be willing to make some adaptations that might make life a little more challenging although exciting as well. These potential changes may be long overdue. Now may be the time for constructive, contemplated development. This may be uplifting but be ready for a slow and steady approach.

A part of you wants these changes now while another part wants to make sure that the changes are appropriate and that you are ready for them. This might not be a bad combination if you remain persistent and have patience along the way. The patience part of this equation might be challenging.

A disciplined approach can lead to new adventures and more freedom of expression. You may feel restricted at times and feel somewhat limited in what you can do as you move forward, but the learning process can be exhilarating. NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN, DECEMBER 29, 2016

The new Moon always suggests an opportunity for new beginning and for growth and expansion.   This phase of the moon, for the most part, is related to setting goals and moving forward towards your ambitions.  This is the time to plant your seeds.  This is particularly so with the New Moon in Capricorn which is the sign related to business enterprises, advancement and goal oriented objectives.  Capricorn will provide you with the determination and endurance to achieve or at least set in motion these intentions.

At the same time as the new moon, there is also a sextile to the Moon from Mars and Neptune, both in the sign of Pisces.  Sextiles are aspects of opportunities and are related to the effort on your part to push yourself ahead in these endeavours.  With both these planets in Pisces, you should make sure that what you are trying to achieve is also related to helping others as well as aiding your own ambitions.  Pisces and Neptune are often related to selfless service and working for the underdog on some level.  So if you are working in areas related to service where those less fortunate than your are the main focus, you will undoubtedly do well.  Charity organizations as well as spiritually related organizations would benefit greatly from your involvement.  Capricorn, however, is earth oriented and organizations that incorporate some of these matters would not only help you to help others, but may offer you a chance for recognition for your efforts.

Capricorn deals with stability as well as acknowledgement obtained through a persistent effort and consistent approach to whatever project you want to become involved with.  This can include ambitious desires and you may find that you now are experiencing an increase in responsibilities and also recognition from those in positions of authority.  You may find that your hard work has paid off and now you are presented with an opportunity for advancement or a raise in pay.  Much of what has potential to fall in place often comes to fruition after a struggle.  Realize what needs to take place in order to promote your talents and then follow through as these as this can lead to great achievements.

Transiting Mercury will be in retrograde until January 8, 2017.  It will stagnate some of these energies.  In many cases, particularly if you also have Mercury retrograde in your natal chart, Astrologers will suggest that you wait until Mercury goes direct before moving ahead.  The best road to take will be one of planning and preparing for the actions that you wish to take.  On or after the 8^th of January, you can move forward although this is only a suggestion and the rest of your chart may suggest otherwise.  If you have prepared diligently, moving forward now may not be too bad of an idea.  You may not have to wait.

Transiting Mercury will be conjunct this New Moon at 7 degrees 59 minutes of Capricorn.  Use these energies to initiate what you want to take place in the coming days and remain optimistic about the results.  If the energies of Capricorn are not directed properly, the end result may be a pessimistic attitude about what you are trying to achieve.  Recognize that it takes time to build an empire even if what you are trying to accomplish is a much lesser goal.  Take the necessary time to think things out clearly and be ready to act shortly.

TRANSITING JUPITER IN ASPECT TO NATAL SUN IN CAPRICORN

We will begin by touching on Jupiter which is currently in the sign of Libra at 19 degrees when the Sun goes into the sign of Capricorn (December 22/2016).  Jupiter will turn retrograde on February 6, 2017 and remain retrograde until June 9, 2017, when it turns direct again.  Jupiter will start this cycle at 19 degrees Libra and move as far as 23 degrees Libra before it turns retrograde.  Jupiter will then go back as far as 13 degrees Libra while in its retrograde cycle. 

For those that have their Sun sign in Capricorn and between the 13 to 23 degrees the information in this post will certainly be of interest to you.  You can give yourself a minimum of 3-4 degrees approaching and as much as 2 degrees separating for Jupiter’s energies to have a direct effect on you.  There will be a square between your Sun and transiting Jupiter during this period and although Saturn does bring with it challenging conditions and lessons to be learned, Jupiter often promotes opportunities during this phase.

You may find that Jupiter’s influence will tie into making necessary changes to how you live your life, that is if changes are required.  Saturn deals with being responsible and making the correct evaluations before moving forward.  Jupiter will ask you to look deep within to make sure that your decisions are based on truth and honour.  Do not take this time lightly and make sure your objectives are in line with the greater good.  There might be some strain associated with this time in your life, but in reality you are setting the corner stones for your future by making these decisions.  Make sure that the foundation that you are putting in place is built well and will stand the test of time.

Take the necessary time to move ahead and you may find that there will be times when you do your best work working alone or in seclusion.  Decision making should be based on what serves you best but also what serves those that you care about as well.  If there is a problem that needs rectifying, now is the time to set thing straight.  Ponder your decision for a while but move forward as you get a clearer understanding of what you should be doing. 

Saturn often deals with your profession and you may find that there is some restriction within this area.  Patience is a lesson during this period.  If, however, you have been working hard to achieve something worthwhile in business, you may find that when this period is over or even during the time while Jupiter is in effect, you may be rewarded for hard work and disciplined action.  Superiors may take note of what you have been doing. If you find that your current job appears to be a dead-end job, this may be the time to move out of this influence.  Be sure that you have the new job in place before you take that plunge.  It is possible that under the current influence that opportunities await you but much depends on the overall condition of your natal Saturn.  It is often suggested that during the retrograde cycle that you do not make changes as it is best to wait until Jupiter turns direct again.

CLINGING TO YESTERDAY

There are many who can get caught up in the past and what once was.  They spend countless hours reminiscing and they wish they could go back to that time.  They think of those times as the good old days. 

Do you realize that this particular point in time will be the good old days in twenty years from now?  Rather than looking back at what once was, why would we not take a much closer look at what is, right now.  Look closely at what is right in front of you, in this moment and pay particular attention to what feels right.  We can be so accustomed to complaining about what we do not like or have that we ignore those things that we should be grateful for.

Time waits for no one and if we spend our lives living in the past or wishing we were there, we miss out on the eternal moment and the magnificence of what is happening now.  The moment is all we have and our attention to this is paramount. 

Do not spend another moment thinking about what was for what was is gone.  Do not waste your time worrying about what might come in the future for what we worry about seldom comes to fruition.  If you hold on to yesterday, you halt what potentially lies in today.  You cannot move forward without letting go of the past.  The past can include people, memories, wishes, dreams, ways of life ...anything that you tend to cling on to.

Live for today.  Experience your life by living it.  Do not waste time on yesterday.  Believe that you are entitled to be happy but remember that happiness can only be found in the present moment.  Believe in your potential for happiness.  This potential lies within your focus on all that is and this serves you well.  If life feels difficult, what is the lesson to be learned.  Once you are able to figure out the lesson, you can then acknowledge it and let it go.

2017 FORECASTING FOR THOSE WITH SUN IN CAPRICORN

On December 28, 2016, we will touch on transiting Jupiter in aspect to natal Saturn as Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn.  Today, we will look at the semi-sextile between transiting Saturn and those with the Sun in Capricorn.  Saturn will be between 19 and 27 degrees Sagittarius until it goes retrograde on April 6, 2017.  It will remain in its retrograde motion until August 25 and during this period Saturn will move from 27 degrees to 21 degrees Sagittarius.  Anyone with their Sun in Capricorn between 19 and 27 degrees (also allow for one degree approaching -- 18 degrees and three degrees separating -- up to 29 degree Capricorn to 1degree Aquarius) will be affected.  You will have to use a very tight orb as this aspect is only strong within one degree of influence (some Astrologers use a 30 minutes influence).

Saturn, unlike all the other planets, because of its slow and deliberate action, actually has its most powerful influence when it is two degrees past direct.  All the other planets are most powerful when they are direct and then lose their strength a couple of degrees past the direct degree.

The Semi-Sextile is a 30 degree aspect and is also considered a minor aspect in astrological terms.  Many Astrologers believe the Semi-Sextile to be of insignificance unless there are other aspects influencing it.  The Semi-Sextile often adds to an already bigger picture having influence in an individual’s horoscope.  The Semi-Sextile does suggest an added significance of opportunities, sometimes being in the right place at the right time.  Although considered very minor, the potential for opportunities still exists during the very close timing of these aspects.

It should be noted that when planets are moving direct and not in their retrograde cycle, the energies are released and can be used to the individuals advantage or will play significant roles either from a positive perspective or in challenging conditions.  Saturn operates in a different manner than the other planets.  The direct cycle of Saturn at times can influence the unfolding of opportunities after a time of challenges and disruptions especially when the aspect is considered positive.  The more negative aspects like the square, conjunction and the opposition are usually much more challenging to deal with but also offer valuable lessons that can be used in the future to help facilitate growth on a very significant level.

When Saturn is in its retrograde cycle, which will be from April 5, 2017 until August 25, 2017, the energies of Saturn take on energies similar to that of the planet Jupiter.  Saturn unlike other planets when retrograde suggests action and moving forward.  Other planets when in a retrograde motion suggest contemplation and planning and it is suggested that we wait to act until the retrograde period has ended with all planets but Saturn.  The normal cautionary conditions that apply when Saturn is not in retrograde motion are relaxed and past conditions are brought to the forefront.  These highlighted conditions can be used to your advantage during the retrograde period. 

For example, if you have been setting up a proposal and have been working on it diligently, during the retrograde cycle you may be able to proceed and actually achieve what you have set out to do.  Of course you will also have to take into consideration what other factors might be influencing this in the chart.  But in general, Saturn’s energies of disciplined action and steadfast approach can be used efficiently during this cycle. 

Saturn often deals with your occupation and the goals you are setting in your life in a material sense, although it can also reflect a more spiritual context if Jupiter or Neptune are involved in the equation.  You could use the energies of Saturn especially during its retrograde cycle to move ahead in business oriented ways.

HAVE ANOTHER LOOK

Those that believe in reincarnation trust that they have spent many lifetimes gathering information to enhance their development and growth. 

No matter if we accept the concept of reincarnation or not, we are not here to be a mere spectator, standing by while life presents us with opportunities to assist in this material experience.  We are here to be a participant in our awakening, even a light to guide others to finding their own personal insight and meaning to their lives.

Many people become trapped within the idea that material wealth will satisfy their deep inner yearning for understanding.  Maybe for a few brief moments we may find some contentment or even excitement but this is short lived if what we are actually seeking is inner fulfillment.  Do not get me wrong.  There is nothing wrong with material wealth and it can certainly make the physical life a little easier but it will not make you feel complete or provide happiness, for these things cannot be bought.  We can become lost in the search unfortunately. 

If only we would stop looking outward for our fulfillment and answers.  Our investment in these things never seems to provide contentment for long and we keep striving for more.  We eventually come up feeling empty and ever reaching for our next peace of heaven only to find that it too does not satisfy. 

Look within for answers.  Live within the moment, without expectations of others. 

We sometimes have to reminder ourselves that we are spiritual beings living an earthly existence...nothing more, nothing less.  Be the listener.  Be the watcher, the one within who watches each event and who listens to the story as it unfolds.  We have never been lost!

We are the wealth that we are looking for.  We have heard others speak of the one within.  That is who we truly are.  We are not separate.  We are one with everything.  We resonate within the divine light of knowing.  We are pure energy momentarily using this physical form.  We are light!

SUN IN CAPRICORN

As we move from the high-minded, philosophical and optimistic energy of the Sagittarian, we now delve into the much more serious sign of Capricorn on the 22^nd day of December, 2016.  The message brought forward into the sign of Capricorn is to look at life from a more relaxed view point and always look at life from a positive perspective.  Capricorn, because of its no-nonsense approach to life, can use the high-minded approach as do Sagittarians, but Capricorn will have the central focus of doing things right the first time.  A true Capricorn individual believes that with the proper foundation in life, we can build that which is solid and lasting which can take us to higher ground.

This so called higher ground in the eyes of most Capricorns deals with success and applications that are workable and can be used to build on success.  They recognize the significance of hard work and are willing to persevere when many others would fall short.  The Capricorn’s goals are attainable as they push themselves forward regardless of what stands before them.  Capricorn is willing to wait for the opportune moment and then relentlessly work towards an end result.

In some cases, the end result might bring with it material benefits, advancement in employment or recognition for all the hard work that had to happen in order to reach that pinnacle.  Capricorn people are steadfast and reliable and come across as being quite adept at handling most anything that life throws their way.  They are generally not well suited for emotional drama, as they prefer to rationalize things out and deal with issues with a matter-of-fact attitude.  This makes them well suited for leadership roles in life and many managers have powerful Capricorn influences in their Astrology charts.

Capricorn individuals are the builders, the realists and the workers of the zodiac.  They are ruled by the planet Saturn known as the teacher and disciplinarian of the planetary energies.  It is no wonder that Capricorn individuals make sure that the high standards are followed to a tee due to the influence of the Saturn temperament.  Although Saturn does insist on working you hard for your end results, it also compliments your work ethics and rewards you for a job well done but only if you did not take shortcuts to reach that final outcome.

MAKE SOME MAGIC

We all have gifts to offer others.  When we discovered what our gifts are, we need not compare them to anyone else’s gifts.  Some gifts can be temporary; some gifts can be permanent.  Circumstances never stay the same and our gifts match up with what we are here to accomplish in the moment.

YULE - WINTER SOLSTICE

December 21 will be the least amount of daylight we will experience in the northern hemisphere.  The sun is currently on a very low arc in the sky. 

The good news, the promise, is the light will soon return.  The arc will heighten and the days will slowly lengthen.  As nature sleeps and the light is low, we can reflect on our journey.  We can plan our intentions for when the energy and the light returns.  Mother nature always knows best.  Follow her example to rest and wait for the return of light, for the return of warmth, the return of the energy that nurtures us mentally, physically and spiritually.

Our current lesson is patience.  Utilize the wait to look in the shadows of self.  Bring light to the darkest corners of self.  Fill each corner with love and allow spirit to grow.

Is it coincidence that during Yule season (the rebirth of light), many celebrate the birth of Christ (the rebirth of salvation)?  This is a time of celebration for many, whether it is Yule, Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, etc.

PROGRESSED JUPITER

Jupiter deals with fair play.  Its energies reflect moral and religious involvements.  Jupiter involves expansion, brings good luck and optimistic potentials.  It is the planet of growth in material terms as well as expansion when it comes to life circumstances and how you can relate to this from a positive perspective.  While Jupiter makes positive aspects to other planets and points in the Zodiac, there are great opportunities for conditions to turn out favourably.

Each house cusp advances one degree per year through progression and Jupiter moves closer and closer until it finally moves into the next house.  Jupiter moves slower than the progressed houses and it is important to notice where Jupiter is in the natal chart and the houses it moves through during progression.  These few houses (usually not more than three) will become areas of life that are affected by the progression of Jupiter in your chart.

You will also need to take into consideration any aspects that might come into play from the other progressed planets as well as transiting planets that make contacts during Jupiter’s slow movement through your specific houses.

If Jupiter passes across your MC (Midheaven) the opportunities for growth in your profession has great potential especially if it is well aspected.  You will also have to look at the overall condition of Jupiter in your natal chart as this will determine how great the success will be.  A poorly aspected natal Jupiter does not promote in ways that a well aspected Jupiter does.  When Jupiter passes over your MC, you may have opportunities for a promotion or may gain positive influence from people of higher positions.  Travel or relocation might be on the agenda during the year Jupiter sits directly on these angles.  I personally use an orb of 20 minutes for Jupiter as it approaches and 15 minutes when it separates. 

Progressed Jupiter on the ASC (ascendant) opens the door in very personal ways with less restrictions or obstacles for you.  It might indicate a new relationship or expansion in the family.  Prosperity and good luck seem to find their way to you.  Since Jupiter has to do with law suits and legalities, when Jupiter is on the Ascendant or Midheaven, the potential for legal things to go well are increased.

Jupiter on the DC (descendant) once again offers opportunities for marriage or opportunities to promote a new organization or affiliation with someone who can be of benefit to you in a business opportunity. 

Jupiter on the IC suggests changes within the home or with family members usually on a positive note.  It is a good time to buy real estate or your monetary values in these areas may increase.  However as mentioned previously, always take into consideration other transits and review what they are indicating.  Also a reminder to review the overall condition of Jupiter is in the birth chart to get the totally story.

FOREVER YOUNG & ALWAYS LEARNING

In our physical world, we can exercise, eat properly, have regular medical checkups and in general look after ourselves, but will these practices keep us young?  Is being young a state of the body or is it a state of mind?  I am sure you have experienced a very child who is obviously a very old soul.  These children are much too wise for their years.  Is this an example of being old?  Does knowledge and an ingrained knowing indicate age? 

Most young children play and enjoy their lives.  They live completely in the moment.  They have few cares but when they have one, they can become obsessed with their issue within that moment.  However as soon as they move away from an issue by altering their focus, the issue is often gone forever or holds little relevance.  Is this considered being young or a youthful thing to do, or is this something we can all enjoy?

Staying forever young, certainly in part, deals with living in the moment.  Children enjoy the moment and live within it.  They experience fully the details of their focus.  We, as adults, tend to live in our minds and think in terms of what will be or what has already been.  Rarely are we content with living in the now.  Staying forever young, in part, deals with attitude especially is we stay open and allow.  Do we suddenly stop learning because we are old?  Does life no longer provide us with any new lessons and do we really have all the information and all the answers?  I think not.  We are never too old to learn.

If we want to stay young, we certainly have to allow ourselves to have fun, stay open and continue learning.  We can never believe that there is nothing left for if we do than we certainly are growing old. 

Even the most advanced souls, or should I say especially the most advanced souls, know that the journey of knowledge is just beginning.  The further along we venture, the more we realize how little we know.  This does not indicate ignorance, it indicates maturity.

Stay young by attending this moment’s school of life.  Pay heed to your focus.  Watch and learn from the young.  They have so much to teach.  Enjoy your journey.

MERCURY RETROGRADE DECEMBER 19 or 20, 2016 TO JANUARY 8, 2017

Mercury will go retrograde (appears to be moving backward) on December 19 or 20, 2016, and remain so until January 8, 2017.  The date will vary depending on the where you live.  During this retrograde cycle, Mercury will be in between 15 degrees Capricorn and move as far back as 28 degrees Sagittarius before it goes direct again.

Mercury retrograde cycles are most important to those that have Mercury retrograde in their birth chart, although it does affect everyone to some degree.  This will be particularly true if you have Mercury retrograde in your birth chart and then also have it in the critical degrees and the signs (from 28 degrees Sagittarius to 15 degrees Capricorn).

Mercury retrograde seems to create external conflicts for those that meet the above criteria.  It may seem as though any plans that you set in motion during these dates are subject to delays, mishaps and there will be the need to make sure that what you are proposing to do is well prepared for and all necessary preparatory sets have been taken before you finally move forward with your goals.  Even the best laid plans can go astray during this cycle and many Astrologers suggest that their clients wait until this cycle is over before proceeding with their plans.

Much depends on other influences in the birth chart related to these degrees (28 degrees Sagittarius to 15 degree Capricorn).  If you have other planets within these critical degrees and especially if they are in square (90 degrees), in opposition (180 degrees) or conjunct (0 degrees) to this placement, they might indicate some struggles when it comes to making plans actually happen as they were originally planned to unfold.

Plans seem to be postponed or reversals happen during this time, and making new plans during this cycle, unless totally unavoidable, are not suggested.  If, however, you have natal planets that are in sextile (60 degrees) or trine (120 degrees) and in some cases (the conjunction 0 degrees), goals may not manifest as you expected.  The outcome, however, may still be favourable.  Regardless of the aspects, the time spent during this period is often not as disruptive or devastating as most people believe.  You will find that some things go by without a hitch although some things can go terribly wrong.  It is suggested, however, that if you do need to move ahead in something, particularly any written contracts, such as making plans to buy a car and signing important documents, you carefully weight things out and read the fine print before signing.

There are often delays or unforeseen delays.  Taxation problems have been noted to go astray or the purchasing of a home may also signify some type of hitches during the process.  Either the house is not ready or the plans do not go as timely as they are supposed to.  Make sure you are totally satisfied before you sign any papers.  Signing documents is often a huge part of the process in the Mercury retrograde cycle, as Mercury is the ruler of such things.

If you are getting ready to write an exam or a final paper, you should make sure that you use the retrograde time to study the subject in a complete and comprehensive manner.  Mercury retrograde cycles are great times for study.  Preparatory work is well suited for this time frame.

Regardless of what has to happen during this period, you should still go ahead if you must, but be prepared for delays and minor obstructions along the way.

INDIVIDUAL OR INSEPARABLE

We tend to think of ourselves as a separate entity, free and clear of any type of actual inseparable bond with anyone else.  We connect but at the same time we feel separated and in many ways on our own in this life.  We can make close connects and can also feel attached in many ways emotionally but still feel separate and individual.

Why is this?  Are we really so different from one another? 

Many of us have different as well as similar beliefs.  We can follow similar routines and habits in our everyday life.  We may feel a connection with those who have similar beliefs, and we structure our lives according to these beliefs.  These beliefs we hold dear.  Although we have many ideas in common with many in our inner circle, few, if anyone else, holds the exact same belief structures completely.  Does this structure make us different?   Do these differences interfere with our similarities?

We are all here in physical form for a certain amount of time.  Each of us lives our lives together, sharing our resources and this planet we call home.  We are also all connected through our true nature-- with spirit and with our connection and wholeness in source.

We, as humans, seem to thirst for our own individual identity. It seems that we need to think of ourselves as separate from our brothers and sisters and yet, we strive to fit in.  Do we really need to be separate to feel unique?  All living things are made of energy without exception.  How much do we vary on a molecular level?

Perhaps it is time that we recognize that we are all spiritual entities undergoing a human experience and that our core is the same and we all stem from the same source.  We are so connected that when one hurts, we all hurt on some level.  It helps to remember this as we push our way through life without consideration for those that walk with us.  Deep down inside, we all have the same credentials. We all crave love and understanding if we dig deep enough. 

We are each part of the whole.  Each of us represents a spark from the fire of existence.  The whole however is inseparable so how individual are we?  Share your love with others so that you will be loved.  Do whatever you feel good at doing and live in harmony in our oneness.
