Building on Faith

Faith is a difficult concept when one relies on a rational thought process.  Faith stands apart from what could be considered a logical and/or physical concept.  Faith is not something that one can buy or receive from someone else.  Faith is a knowing that cannot be taught; it just is!  Faith is not necessarily a religious experience.

To build on faith, you only require one action, acceptance.  Faith is not an idea or even a belief structure as these are finite.  Faith is infinite yet translucent in its nature.  You cannot put your finger on it and you cannot suggest that it is a living thing, although in many ways it is the living matter behind all that is.  Faith is a knowing of the truth.  It is a knowing that truth is alive and living within you.  It has no material base although it encompasses a solid foundation that you can build on.

Faith is not a concept or idea.  It is a knowing that will release us from the anxieties of life.

Faith involves letting go of your perceptions of how you “think” life should be.  Having faith is a knowing that life is moving exactly and precisely as it should always be, regardless of the mind’s interaction.  Faith is knowing that you will always be on track even in the face of adversity or judgement from others.  Open your heart to the natural faith within.  Release fear, judgement and expectations.  You are always on path, living in the eternal moment, encompassed by love.  Have faith in this!

Neptune in Astrology

Neptune is the mysterious planet that ruled the sign Pisces.  Neptune is very subtle in its nature and is known as the planet of illusion, inspiration and psychic perception.  Those with a strong Neptune in their birth chart often have mystical inclinations and psychic abilities.  Neptune also has an ability to deceive and colour reality, and it places blinders on many when in transit.

Neptune also has to do with artistic abilities and inspirational writing.  It has to do with musical talent and many with strong Neptune inclinations make great actors as they are able to losing themselves within the part that they are portraying.  Neptune also rules mystery and many a mystery novel have been written through the influence of Neptune’s imaginary insight.

There are the unfortunate ones who indulge in drugs and alcohol in an attempt to withdraw from some of life’s more challenging moments and during these times Neptune is often found playing havoc in their charts.  The twelfth house is the natural ruler of Pisces and Neptune is also connected with this house.  The twelfth house has to do with places of confinement and often deals with institutions such as hospitals and even asylums.  The twelfth house is known as the dustbin of the zodiac, and this is often the place where we cover up life’s tumultuous conditions in the hope that in some way they will disappear.  This type of action is often facilitated through the influence of Neptune.

Dreams and dream psychology are also areas ruled by Neptune.  Someone with strong Pisces or a number of planets in aspect to Neptune can become so inclined and are able to decipher the meanings behind our dreams.  Although Neptune through transit often colours the way we are viewing current circumstances, it also provides us with hidden or subdued talents.  Through the use of an often overextending perception, abilities can produce psychic understanding about events that we normally are not able to penetrate.

Be sure to view your world clearly when Neptune passes over important points in your birth chart.  Putting people on pedestals and viewing life through rose coloured glasses is often an offshoot during these unbridled times when Neptune plays games with reality.

Neptune also rules doctors, psychiatrists and anyone who goes below the surface of everyday life.  If you can find a way to use the penetrating abilities that Neptune offers, you can see through illusion and find the answers that might have been hidden or may be dormant for extended periods of time.

Using your intuitive understanding and being open to dialogue from other sources (beyond the realms of this earth and material living) will help you find places that you might not have known were there.  Meditation techniques and mystical alignments are key ingredients to unlocking the true potential of Neptune’s deeper side and unlocking channels to the psychic connection we all share.

The Art of Forgiveness

In times of depression or deep sadness due to someone else’s actions, are we still able to forgive--even the most intrusive behaviours or actions?  Are we able to separate the self from the ego’s reaction?  Are we emotionally mature enough to reject hate and bitterness due to someone’s action?  Regardless of the event or the intentions, is there forgiveness?  How do we “allow” and move forward?

Hostility, revenge, hate.....these are automatic primary reactions.  Forgiveness, however, is not always an easy task.  Letting go and moving beyond the hurt can be difficult, as the ego relentlessly wants some type of justice.  But, these that are the hardest things to do, are the very things that we must do for our own health and wellbeing.  Events may not seem fair and in many cases they probably are not, but somehow we must learn to forgive even the most formidable acts but not necessarily for those that carried them out.  Most of all, we must let go for ourselves.

Hanging on to hate and wanting vengeance absolutely serves no purpose.  In reality, the emotional stress of carrying this baggage can and will bring on mental and physical dis”ease”.

How do we learn to forgive when someone takes away something we treasure, such as our resilience, our serenity or our hope?  Unfortunately, many of these individuals that hurt other and have a total disregard for their actions are so discontent with their own lives that they feel (whether consciously or unconsciously) that they need to try to bring others to their emotional state.  We have all heard the term “Misery needs company”.  Feeling sad, lonely and unloved is a difficult place to exist.

There are many reasons people allow themselves to exist under these conditions.  They may have developed emotionally under similar conditions...not knowing anything different.  They may have experienced events in their life that they have not worked through or there could be mental or other emotional conditions.  Does this negate the atrocities that some of these individuals commit?  Does it somehow make it alright?  Not to those that have suffered at their hands or from their words.

The individuals that are the most difficult to love, are they not the individuals that require our love the most?  We must however know our own limitations and if our emotional or physical health suffers as a result of something out of our control, we must love ourselves enough to walk away from the situation.

To live our lives in pursuit of justice and/or revenge and to allow ourselves to be filled with hate can only bring us in a place of sorrow, anger, resentment and disease.  These emotional places will never offer solace and peace.  Letting go and forgiving is perhaps one of the hardest thing that we will have to do in our lives.  Holding on to grief and resentment can and will only erupt within the structures of our being and its fruit produces only more suffering.

Many hold onto and eventually own these repressive feelings.  Many do not consciously realize that this is a choice and by making this choice we perpetuate these feelings of grief and torment.  What we so despise in others, we grow in our own inner garden.    If we despise hate and anger in others, do those individuals that we come in contact throughout our lives not despise our anger and resentment in the same way?

Forgiveness breaks the cycle.  Inner peace will never be found without forgiveness.  Those that have wronged us may not deserve our forgiveness, but WE do!

Karma will be the judge and the jury.  It does not need your help or focus.

If these individuals will not accept your love and are not willing to help themselves, forgive and release yourself from the situation.  Wish them well in the hopes that they learn from their life’s experiences.  Allow love to grow even from of the darkest corners of your being and reap the rewards from these actions.   This is the story waiting to be told.

Transitting Jupiter conjuct Pluto in Leo in Astrology

As transiting Jupiter is now midway into Leo, this post applies to those born between 1948-1957.  There are some who will have Pluto in the late degree of Leo born in 1958.  You will have to check your birth data to find out if this post applies to you.

Transiting Jupiter is in the 15-29 degree Leo range from September 2014-August 2015.   Jupiter goes into retrograde off and on during this time so you will have to check your ephemeris for the correct dates.

Transiting Jupiter can be felt by those that are sensitive to its influence, 5 degree approaching and 3-5 degrees separating.  Jupiter moves through its complete cycle of the horoscope every 12 years, so those that are going to experience this transit have also felt its influence 12 years ago, 24 years ago, and so on.  During this transit of Jupiter, transiting Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are also within this 15-20 degree range, check your ephemeris for dates when they are at the 14-15 degree mark.  Uranus and Pluto are in this degree towards the end of February and into March of 2015.  Be sure to mark your calendar when these two giants meet transiting Jupiter.  Jupiter will enhance these two planetary forces during this time and you can expect transformations and unexpected changes to your life if you have Pluto in the 14-15 degree of Leo in your birth chart.

In this post we will speak primarily about the influence of Transiting Jupiter on your natal Pluto.

You will find that when this transit influences your Pluto, you will work very diligently towards a goal that personally describes you.  Depending where you Natal Pluto is located, this area of life will provide you with information as to how you might use this energy to your advantage.  In general, you will have been working in this area of life over the past and now the fruits of your labour come to realization.

You may strive to gain power in this area of life and this transit often provides you the push needed to move in the intended direction and achieve more than what you would normally accomplish.  Be careful on how you choose to direct this energy as often there are issues with people in positions of authority and you might step on toes to gain recognition for your efforts.  It is hard, however, to use this energy in a subtle manner; therefore, it is wise to process what you are trying to achieve before you move headlong into this expression.  If no one gets hurt and you do not push the issues by taking too much control, the outcome will probably be exactly what you wanted it to be or at least along those lines.

The prevailing urge that this energy provides is a time of self-reflecting and you can clearly see your motivations and work in this direction with little restraint on your part.  How well you achieve what you set out to do depends a great deal on how you go about it and to what ends the results will manifest.  Many become obsessed with this power drive and will push themselves hard to achieve their end result and this transit provides you with plenty of push to succeed.

This transit does provide you with the opportunity to create something magnificent and long lasting in your life, as often the changes are similar to a new beginning.  Often we leave the past behind and forge ahead, although in many cases the route is not a foreign one.  We can awaken to a new height of achievement and advance our cause.  In the alternative, we can run roughshod over others in order to achieve at any cost.  The choice is yours to make.  Use this energy in a positive manner as it will not return in its intensity again and the next time Jupiter makes this contact to Pluto will be in 12 years but without the effects of Pluto and Uranus.

Letting Go of Worry

During the course of life, there are often times that we allow ourselves to become stressed and we worry.  During these times (which can be extended), we have to stop to analyse why we are concerned and worried.  What can we do to change the situation or circumstances that are causing this anxiety?  Can we actually do something to change things or is it out of our hands?  Is the problem really ours?  This latter question is one that deserves particular attention.  Most times if we analyse the situation, we realize that the issue actually involves someone else.  If this is the case, ask yourself, “How is worry going to resolve this situation?

Many of us can become so wrapped up in other people’s concerns that we lose a little part of ourselves in the process.  We actually take on these concerns and make them our own.  This serves little to resolve the issue other than to give us a little insight into how the other person may be feeling.  Once we understand or at least have an idea of what the other person is actually experiencing, we will feel compassion which will result in love generated for that individual.

This is the only positive thing that can result from taking on other people’s anxieties.  Once you have aroused your compassion, (which can be accomplished without taking on someone else’s issues) it is time to let it go.  Release it before you begin to make it your own.  You can offer the individual involved your care and loving concern and perhaps you might even have some good advice, but that is as far as you can realistically go.  Holding on or owning these worries serves no useful purpose and eventually will bring you down and in this state you can provide nothing viable to aid in the solution to the issues.

When we experience traumatic events or events that do not seem to fit into our idea of how our life should be, we again take this route.  Experience the event by accepting what has happened and filter through what you can do to alleviate the condition.  It may be a trying time especially if we fight what has already taken place (and we cannot turn back the hands of time).  Process the event by facing the situation.  Accept that it has happened but do not own the condition.  Ultimately, to move beyond the situation, you have to let go of the conditions and find the appropriate way to move forward.

We are in no way downplaying any of life’s testing moments and there will be moments in life when you may feel that there is no solution and no way out, but letting go and letting life take its course is often the best way to look at things.  Holding on to hurtful incidents that you have no control over only serves to weigh you down.  If we focus on the negative this will only leaves you with more of the same and this can take you to places that you really do not want to go.

Understand that everything happens for a reason and as we all know the greatest lessons in life become our biggest learning tools.  Look at these experiences as important opportunities for growth and building blocks of the future.  Often these conditions push us in alternate directions that later on prove to be exactly where we needed to go.  We go through these difficult lessons---these sometimes life altering conditions--to get to that place of understanding and renewed growth and new beginnings.  If we fight the conditions and refuse to learn the lesson at hand, it will only keep resurfacing until we cannot deny what must be.

Stand tall in the face of adversity and know that you will overcome.  You will be victorious and come out a better and stronger individual as a result of life’s lessons.  There will be moments we see as obstacles throughout our life’s route.  How will you deal with them?  Will you turn around and not make it to the destination?  Will you fight the road block and chisel away at it until it is gone or will you accept that it is there, climb over it and continue on your way?.
