SUN IN SCORPIO

This post applies to those individuals that are born with their Sun in Scorpio and to a lesser degree those born with a Scorpio Ascendant.  In 2015, the Sun enters Scorpio on November 24. 

There are at least three different types of personalities of Scorpio people and as a result it is often a misunderstood sign.  Scorpio is often referred to or designated as the Scorpion whose character traits are often the ones that are less desirable.  We are going to touch on the Scorpion personality as well as the other personality traits of Scorpio. 

The Scorpion is known for its deception and its quality of harbouring past events and its need to get even.  Many do not trust the Scorpion.  They are particularly known for their sexual promiscuity and their sexual trickery or cheating capabilities.  They also have a very vengeful side and once crossed it is best to be on the lookout as they can be quite ruthless and obsessive with their plans to put things right.  You are best not to cross them and in some cases they can be plain spiteful and often very vindictive. 

Jealousy is also a strong character trait of the Scorpion character.  Although the Scorpion may feel that it is alright for them to have clandestine affairs, they would not take it lightly if their romantic partner were to play the same game.  It is rather one sided and although they may be quite aware that it is unethical to carry on this way, they may still feel entitled and have difficulties controlling their strong desires.

The eagle personalities on the other hand (the higher of the Scorpio personalities) has found their way past primal urges and because of their tendency to go deep are often found in circles involved in the mystical side of life.  They are true to the cause of self-exploration and seek out qualities within themselves that can not only benefit them but also aid others in their times of need.  They are quite loyal with their word as well as loyal to friends and lover.  Some seek spiritual enlightenment and are always ready to uncover their deepest and most mysterious character flaws and make dramatic changes and transformations to their character due to the planetary influence of Pluto.

There is also the Salamander personality.   Many Salamander personalities will carry traits of both the Eagle and the Scorpion.  Those that have found a way to rise above the Scorpion tendencies can have an altruistic nature. 

Most Scorpio individuals regardless of personality type have a need to go beneath the surface and dig deep for answers.  Because of this, they make great psychologists, pathologists and private investigators, along with surgeons and in some cases, they will be found working in the mines.   

Most Scorpio individuals are great at uncovering the truth and they often have a penetrating look that makes you feel as though they see past superficial surface and see right to the core.  This can be a little formidable for those that are overly sensitive as they may feel as though their privacy is being invaded.  It can also be quite alluring for those that have a want to uncover their inner tendencies and have nothing to hide. 

Most Scorpio individuals have an air of secrecy about them and you will have a difficult time uncovering the deeper facets of their personality.  They may even hide their true selves so as to remain a secret.  They often fascinate others.

Nearly all Scorpio individuals have a sensual appeal to them and many are aware of this quality but the eagle type does not abuse this trait.  They understand that sexuality is normal and the appeal that they have will not be used in a negative way. 

If you are looking for a stimulating individual, one who will be hard to decipher and one who is interested in uncovering the deeper meanings of life and the undercurrents of the psyche, a Scorpio individual is just who you are looking for.

PERSEVERANCE

Do you feel as though you simply have had enough and wish for something to come along to lift you out of the stress and chaos?

All things in life regardless of how they currently feel are temporary.  Nothing, absolutely nothing, lasts forever in this earthly existence.  Even the most tedious conditions will shift, and you will see your way though any life event.  Beyond a doubt, there will be times in everyone’s life, that we will be pushed into life circumstances that we prefer not to experience and we will be pushed to what might even feels to be the brink of our sanity but these are the memorable lessons, the lessons that will see us through the greatest growth.

No one escapes this life without some turmoil, but we DO persevere.  Life does rebound once we get through these transitory states.  We have to remain strong and determined in the face of our challenging lessons.  All challenges will pass and our objective with each challenge should be to dig deep enough to uncover the lessons being taught. 

Some of us might want to challenge this suggestion as things may feel bad enough as they are without asserting any more energy into something that already seems to be all consuming.  We might even feel that the energy required to uncover the higher lesson is too time consuming or too disruptive.  If we take the time required, we will gain valuable knowledge which can actually complete the lesson readily.  Some life lessons on the surface may seem to have little meaning, but somewhere deep down there is a purpose.

Understand that the more challenging the conditions, the greater and more significant the lesson.  Do not own the chaos for if we do these events can have profound effects on our well-being.  Some of us hold on to the events so closely and carry the burden personally to the point that we can suffer from “dis-ease”.

Life lessons can be challenging but much to our surprise, we do have energy and perseverance reserves at our disposal if we choose to utilize them.  We can always find a solution to all challenges.  They may not be the ones that we were hoping for but we will find the ones that we need.  Sometimes letting go is the solution and sometimes digging in and conquering the condition is the solution.  Regardless of what the solution is, we must never give up.  We are worth the effort.  Letting go and “letting life” is not giving up.  There will always be conditions in life that cannot be altered.  Addressing them from a different standpoint will guide us to a solution.

With perseverance, we will find the best possible solution.  Do not give up.  We must give each challenge in life our all, believe in ourselves and know that we can move through these lessons.  In the end we will be a much wiser and armed with tools that will assist us in the future.  We will learn flexibility.

We can and will make it through any life condition.  We will be stronger because of them.  We can!   We will!

DOES ASTROLOGY DICTATE?

We have reviewed many astrological configurations in our posts.  We have reviewed the birth chart aspects, the meanings of houses and planetary energies and the list goes on and on.  What we would now like to touch on today is astrologically based, but a bit of a different angle.

There are many people that study Astrology through books, the classroom and by delineating their own chart and the charts of others.  We at Holm Astrology have taken astrology courses, read many books and studied the subject in great depth.  The beauty behind this science is that our forefathers have provided many transcripts and much information which has been gathered over a very long period of time.  The history of Astrology goes back several thousand years and thank goodness for the information that has been formulated before us and is still available for us to utilize.

It is our hope that we can spark your interest in Astrology and provide you with a useful foundation if only to understand your own chart. 

What we wanted to touch on in this segment is related to the natal chart and we promise not to go too deep all at once.  We want to ensure that if you look into the workings of your own charts or would like to study other people’s chart that you have a good understand what is being laid in front of you.  We also want to ensure that you understand although the chart speaks of details of many aspects of our personality as well as forecasting potential energies that are forthcoming, we as individuals are ultimately in the driver’s seat and it is in our hands to change anything that we may see in our charts.

We are not at the mercy of the astrological energies, and although transits and progressions certainly do have an impact on our lives and are extremely accurate in their definition, we always are at the helm and control our attitude and outlook on the outcome of these events as well as our responses to them.  It is always at our discretion how we choose to view any incident that happens in our life.  We can choose to be swept away and swallowed up by events or we can take control of how we handle any situation in our lives.  Also the personality characteristics that come natural to us can always be adapted and tweaked to work for us instead of making life difficult.

Going one step further, our birth chart has many aspects and planetary placements that carry great weight in our lives; however, any square or opposition can be turned into a trine or sextile as our life moves forward.  This is not to say that we will not experience the lessons that the aspect or planetary position suggests.  We do suggest, however, that we can use the lessons to our advantage by making changes conducive to our growth and turn the lesson into something that not only that fosters growth on many levels but adds to who we are as individuals.

It is important, therefore, not to get overly caught up in challenging events within the astrology chart or in lessons suggesting disruptions through transit or progression.  These are stepping stones to great development and achievements.  We have the ability to learn lessons and conquer any obstacle in life including any challenging conditions within a birth chart.  It is, of course, up to each individual to recognize this and put it into motion in their lives. 

Please do not become overwhelmed by challenging conditions found within the birth chart.  Understand, beyond question, that you can achieve success on any levels as a result of these challenging positions and aspects found within your birth chart.  They are only insurmountable if you decide that they are.

We are certainly at the controls of our reaction to our life’s events.  Nothing stands in the way of progress except our mind’s focus.  Remember to channel all thoughts that are less than positive and channel them in a positive direction.  Enjoy the beautiful journey of life and take advantage of the information that your Astrology chart provides you with.

STANDING BY YOUR LOVED ONES

It can be challenging when we experience traumatic life events and we may wonder who we can turn when life seems to offering little solace.   Often all we need is someone to talk to and speaking our feelings can have immensely positive effects.  We get caught up in life events and feel as though we are alone and without option.  This is where a helping hand and gentle ear may be just what is needed.

Only we can decide which course of action we should take.  Others can offer assistance in many difference ways, some offer emotionally support, others offering financial assistance and material solutions but when it comes down to it, we must make the final decisions. 

Sometimes loving support is the best prescription while other times we may have to be tough and say things that might not be overly appealing but necessary.  Sometimes the gentle advice falls of deaf ears.  We can offer words to enforce responsibility and at times life reaches out and challenges people to stand on their own two feet.

In most cases, guiding advice or an understanding ear serves the purpose.  If we find those in need heed to our advice and life still just keeps throwing curve balls at them no matter how hard they try, the gentle loving approach is best.  We cannot fix someone else’s problems.  The solutions are always in their hand.  Accepting this and explaining this might also be good advice.

Life has many lessons and we all experience our share.  These lessons are where our strength comes from and this is what makes us who we are.  Through our loving gestures, we can stand by those in need and walk with them through their adversity.

Our moral support and loving comfort will go a long way.  There is added strength in knowing that someone walks this road with us.  We can be the force that helps them take that first steps and we can be of service and actually make a difference.  No action is too small.  We are one.  All that we do for others, we also do for ourselves.

UNCOVERING TRUTH

UNCOVERING TRUTH

What we perceive to be true is usually simply that.....a perception.  What we view as truth is usually only a perception for that moment in time.  Reaching out beyond our perceptions and connecting with spirit opens the door to real true. 

We are never at the mercy of life.  The truths that we uncover build and change as we grow and we adapt to these recognitions.  Our pure truth lies in the fact that we are spiritual energy and as a result living our life from a human perspective is continually changing.

If we live in the moment we are eternally caught up in the truth which that moment holds. 

Enjoy life’s experiences and accept them as they happen.  Foster an allegiance with the lessons being taught and remain open.  Any concepts currently being learned are of utmost importance in this moment and anything beyond this moment is irrelevant.

Enjoy the moment and live within it.  Stay open to information coming through on all levels of understanding and be available to this information as it serves a purpose within this moment.  Live, share and investigate all that is in this moment.  This is a life of discovery and constant learning based on whatever we are open to.  Whatever we close our minds to, we will never understand.

This is not to say that in learning life’s lessons that we will not be unaccountable for our actions in the future.  As we expand and move forward in life and access more and more truth, we become closer to our connecting with the whole.  When we reach out with open arms and hearts for what lies ahead and truly see ourselves for whom and what we truly are, we obtain a greater spiritual understanding.

Life’s lessons are facts turned right side up and are rooted in knowing.  The more we are open and grasp, the more pure truth is revealed to us. 

We are not our bodies.  We are not our thoughts.  We are not our egos.  We are an ever-expanding spirit or energy moving forward in our understanding of our own true identity.   Allow your inner light to shine.

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT MARS

In general Saturn and Mars are opposing energies.  Mars likes to push forward and energetically moves into life’s adventures with much enthusiasm.  Saturn has a lot to do with restrictions and delays and will always take the tried and tested route.  It will not push forward until all of the “T’s” have been crossed and all the “I’s” have been dotted.  As you can imagine, these two energies work at odds against one another.

The only time they work well together is when you have spent the appropriate amount of time studying a subject or goal and are truly prepared to move ahead.  Unfinished work or untidy conditions due to rushing will never work out under a Saturn/Mars aspect.  Perhaps you will have a greater chance of success with a trine or sextile but even under these conditions, you will still have to do the ground work and can never cut corners.

Saturn is very restrictive in its nature but does provide opportunities for success when the ground work is completed.  Mars is always ready to move ahead, so when these two are combined, there is a great push and pull.  The energy of Mars is thwarted and stagnated but if we were to pursue something that requires deep study and concentrated energy, following Saturn’s requirements, you just might succeed.

Since Mars stimulates the urge for action and is always pushing ahead, the energy of Saturn can cause problems – even confrontations due to frustration.  Arguments and anger are often side shoots of this combination.  Accidents are also associated with this combination as we tend to want to rush even when we should be cautious.  We may feel frustration when attempting to move ahead in our objectives, although if we take our time and realize that in order to achieve what we set out to do it will require steady unobstructed hard work, we can actually achieve a great deal.  We must learn to be patient and recognize that it takes time to achieve positive results when Saturn is involved.

As mentioned we can become quite irritable which in turn creates arguments and disruptions in the flow of things.  Aggressive action will lead to troublesome times.  It might not take much to make us angry as progress is often hindered in some way and at times seemingly by others.  Everything seems to be moving at a snail’s pace and we just want to get on with things.  I suppose Saturn, the task maker, is teaching us patience.  We will have to persevere if we want to make any progress at all.

If we focus and stay with our task at hand regardless of intrusion and delays, we have the opportunity to accomplish big things, but not without some challenge that we will have to endure and rise above with this aspect.

If Mars is located on our Ascendant or in the sixth house, we may experience frustrations around our working conditions.  Because of these feelings of stagnation, we can begin to feel sick and our health can be affected in adverse ways.  The best thing to do is to accept whatever life conditions seem to come our way with this aspect and realize that it will take longer to complete tasks even if they are important.  Sometimes we just need to accept that life does not always go the way we would like it to go, although with a persistent effort and concentrated energy, we will accomplish quite a lot.
