FULL MOON IN GEMINI

According to the American Ephemeris, we will be having a Gemini Full Moon on November 25^th at 22:45.  In order to have a Full Moon, the Sun has to be in direct opposition.  During this Gemini Full Moon or Beaver Full Moon, the sun will be in opposition to the moon 3 degrees 20 minutes Sagittarius. 

This Full Moon is more powerful than most as we will also have Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius conjunct the Sun as well.  It will be particularly strong in your chart if you have any planets or important points (MC or ASC) between 2-8 degrees of any sign.  The conjunctions, oppositions and the squares will be the most significant but the trine and sextile will also have an impact if you have anything in your birth chart at these degrees.

As indicated in previous full moon posts, the Full Moon is a time to harvest our goals which were previously planted during a New Moon.  Gemini often suggests that several ideas may have been mulled around during the planting of the seeds for your goals.  If we breakdown our ideas and perhaps choose just one or even two of these goals to focus on, the harvest can be rewarding.

Any project that involved study and learning or perhaps literature will be suitable to harvest under Gemini’s influence.  If we decided to continue our education in some way, we may now be seeing how these seed can be manifested.  If we have scattered our energies in too many directions, we may now find that most of these ideas or adventures we previously embarked on have little chance of returning any benefits.  The key under a Gemini Moon is to pick one focus, which could be difficult to do, but the chances for success are greater if you narrow down your choices to one or two.

If you entered into a written agreement or other form of communication or contract, you may find that your work is now nearing an end and things are now reaching culmination.  Sharing ideas on any subject and putting several minds together perhaps in business related ways may now be showing the results of hard work or work not completed.  The results will vary because of this.

With the Sun, Mercury and Saturn are all in conjunction in Sagittarius in opposition to the Moon in Gemini, any plans for advancement would be going through a testing period.  You will have to weigh out all the facts and perhaps make some adjustments.  Listening to other people’s advice is suggested during this time frame and over the next few days.  The advice or suggestions being offered might serve you well.  These energies suggest that a person in authority or someone of great knowledge could now be of great benefit.

With careful preparation and moving forward in a slow and steady manner making sure all the t’s are crossed and all the I’s are dotted, would really help to promote whatever it is you may be putting into form now.  The planning and processing of your ideas have a much greater chance of success if you follow these guidelines.

Our minds function well when conjoined with the forces of the Sun, Mercury and Saturn all in Sagittarius.  It may be time for you to finish some long standing legal documentation or you may be deciding on furthering your education or a graduation may be at hand.  Sagittarius is all about higher learning and this can be expressed on many levels of understanding, including religious views, spiritual values and mystical beliefs.

If we anticipate based on fear, neediness and disappointment, we hold ourselves back from accomplishment.

The definition of a goal is the object of a person's ambition or effort; an aim or desired result.  Our personal definition should hold within it the belief that this specific goal is achievable and will be accomplished or attained. 

There is little chance of reaching our goals if our ambition falls short of the target.  Our chances of success are heightened if we move towards our objectives with a positive and keen attitude (in our goal and in our abilities).

REACHING YOUR GOALS

Most of us set goals for ourselves.  For some, these goals may be quite extraordinary yet they still pursue them.   Many others will discourage high objectives as they feel we are setting ourselves up for a fall as they see these goals as being simply out of reach. 

Do not let the naysayers discourage you.  Set your goals in life as high as you desire as long as you are flexible and accept that stumbling is a normal occurrence in any journey.  

Henry Ford once said that “failure is the opportunity to start again this time with intelligence”.  We would reword that quote to say “stumbling is a perfect opportunity to reflect, get back up and continue forward with more information than you started with”. 

Pick a goal that has meaning, one that will greatly improve who and what you are.  If you believe you have what it takes, then prepare and create....one step at a time.  If you fall short on your first attempt, you are at least one step if not many steps closer to fulfilling this goal. 

There is no such thing as “incapable” unless you believe this to be true. 

Believe in yourself.

SUN IN SAGITTARIUS 2015

This year, the Sun moves into the fire sign of Sagittarius on the 23^rd of November.  The element fire speaks in terms of enthusiasm, drive and energy.  Sagittarius can be fast tempered yet they will easily forgive those that offended them.  They usually do not hold grudges and are considered quite amiable   (indicative of a mutable sign).  Sagittarians easily get along well with others and truly see the good in people and the world at large.

They adjust to situations rather easily although they can be opinionated (even a little too direct at times) and this is due to their search for truth in life.  As they seek truth they also have a way of telling the bare-bones truth which some of the more sensitive people can find a bit intrusive.  Others however appreciate their honesty.  Foot in mouth disease was initiated by Sagittarians, yet their intent is never malicious.

Sagittarians are lovers of life and of the great outdoors.  The wide open spaces are not just places they seek, these are placed they need.  This longing for wide open spaces is partly due to their need for freedom, and freedom on many levels is a Sagittarius requirement.  They love nature and also have a love of travel.  Many become world travellers.  For those that cannot afford such luxuries, they will travel in their minds.

There is a great need to further their education and this may be done on an academic level, but most certainly it will be done on a worldly level.  They are also quite interested in varying types of religion, mystical understanding and life’s philosophies.  They have opinions on all of these subjects.  They are seekers of knowledge and need to understand life from a deep level. 

Many are fond of sports and if they cannot play the game, they will be quite enthusiastic about watching the game.  Some become quite athletic and those with Sagittarius rising usually have rather long lanky bodies which are well suited for sports.  Their bodies are not powerful like Taurus or Scorpio, but athletic and built for running, sprinting and jumping.

Sagittarians have a great love of life and are very optimistic in their overall life approach.  They will be the first to say that good things are just around the corner even under the harshest of conditions.  They can help lift others out of a doom and gloom space and into a place of light.  Their optimism can become contagious.  If you would like to have a life of adventure and seek truth, partner up with someone with strong Sagittarius tendencies in their Chart.  With them, you will learn to experience life and often at its fullest.

STAY STEADY & BELIEVE

A beneficial event is waiting for the proper timing.  A turning point is always just ahead.  Instead of losing faith, fight a little harder (to see the positive in all that is).  Too many of us give up and lose faith not only in life, but in ourselves.

Opportunity is never more than a breath away and if we can stand the tests of life and have inner faith we will make it to the next juncture in life.  Misplacing our focus and believing that life will never turn around is simply a losing proposition.  We must remain strong, faithful and focused.  Perseverance is a gift that we must unwrap.  It is at our disposal when we call on it. 

We will get through each lesson in life.  Change is inevitable.  Life will rebound and we can build from the lessons learned on a much firmer foundation.  Stay steady and believe in yourself.  Understand and accept the process.

ECLIPSE INFORMATION

We thought we would touch on the energy of eclipses and what might be experienced after an eclipse has touched off a sensitive area of our birth chart.  For a noticeable influence from the energies of an eclipse, it would be found transiting within five degrees of a planetary link or angle in the natal chart.  The closer to direct the eclipse is to the planet or angle the stronger the eclipse’s energies will be. 

It is said that a Solar eclipse can have a lasting effect for up to one year for each hour that it lasts, while a Lunar Eclipse will last one month per hour of influence.  However the strongest influence is usually tied to the first couple of months unless there are other mitigating factors affecting the same area of the Chart that keep its influence active (transits or progressions).

 

Both types of eclipses have the potential to bring changes to circumstances pertaining to the energy of the house and planetary link or angle that is being influenced.  With a solar eclipse these changes are an outer expression and they are often indicative of crisis on some level, (much depends on the state of the link in the birth chart).  Often when the eclipse’s energy is in effect, we begin something new.  Some could reach a turning point in our life’s direction and some of us may experience a much smaller level of influence.  Quite often however something happens that challenges us to make changes in our lives.  This is particularly true in cases of a lunar eclipse.

Some experience transformations dictated by the house position and energized by the planetary link.  For example there is a big difference in how it would affect Saturn in comparison to Venus or Jupiter even if it occurs in the same house, as their energies are very different from one another.  These transformations that might be at hand should be viewed on as opportunities to make changes that are required or an adjustment in our attitude that is required.  The changes and transformations that take hold during this time period is often permanent in nature.

With a Lunar Eclipse, there are also often dramatic changes that take place.  These changes are sometimes in regards to relationships and are emotionally impacting.  Often the conditions are inevitable and unavoidable but the rest of the chart should be studied carefully before making a deduction on what might happen.  If there are other mitigating factors suggesting disruption within relationships then change might be inevitable.  Fate does seem to have a hand in what takes place, but we always have control over our view and attitude towards the situation or change.

The energy is more on an internal level with the Lunar Eclipse and often some part of life that has gone stale or no longer serves to assist our growth undergoes change.  These conditions are then replaced with something that is more in line with the life that we now walk.  This can be emotionally challenging as we may not be comfortable with the steps we may now have to take.  It is always challenging to move away from what once felt comfortable and we may feel that it is too challenging to move out of these conditions even when living under conditions that are less than ideal.

It has been noted that one month either side of the eclipse (that is before or after the date of the eclipse) that this period is considered times of action.  When the eclipse positioning has passed into a square (90 degrees or three months) from the original position, energies often shift.  This also occurs when it is in opposition of its original position, (180 degrees apart or 6 months).  This last timeline is usually the finale of what took place when the eclipse occurred.
