FULL MOON ARIES - OCTOBER 13

We will enjoy the energies of the Full Moon in Aries on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 5:10 p.m. EDT.

The energies of a Full Moon always speak of a culmination point, a point when all the work has been completed and now it is time to harvest.  What we sowed, what fertilizer we used to grow our plants to completion, how we have nurtured and tended our crop of life will be reflective in what we now harvest.  This period began under the influence of our New Moon when it was in the sign of Aries some six months ago (April, 2019).

Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, is a fire sign and is a cardinal quality.  Aries is self-promoting and is a self-starter.  With the Moon being in the sign of Aries, the project started might have been self-reflective or something that we needed to initiate for ourselves.  In many cases, this will be something quite personal in its nature.  We may have done most of the work to get to where we are now, without the help of others, although there could be exceptions with this.

Aries energies like to initiate projects and under this influence we may be quite willing to begin anew if things are not quite right once into the project.  Aries influence can push us to pick ourselves back up and start again or completely let things go if this is a requirement.

Preparation is the key here and we should not rush which is often a by-product with an Aries influence.  Preparation is the key to success.  If we did the work required and did not miss any steps along the way (truly did our best) then the potential for achieving success is highlighted.

This is a powerful placement, not only because Aries can be so overpowering and the energy associated with this sign is second to none, but we also have the most dominant and potent planet making a tight square to this placement.  Pluto which is also at 20 degrees but in the sign of Capricorn is making an aspect.

Pluto transforms and regenerates whatever it touches and pushes things to its limit through perseverance and dominance.  Pluto might begin as something subtle, but as its energies mature, it is anything but subtle.  Its energies are powerful and can be intrusive.  It is a dominating power that has a tendency of taking over.

The square between Pluto and the Moon and Sun suggests that there are likely challenging conditions attached to whatever we are trying to achieve.  There may be obstruction to our plans, and we may have to go through a conversion in order to move ahead with our objectives.  There may be power struggles attached to our objectives.  Perhaps someone objects to the way we are advancing or perhaps there are ego disputes involved.  We cannot ignore these energies so we will have to deal with them accordingly and push ahead or make changes as required.

Squares initiate activity because the stress or challenging conditions that are representative of the aspect between Pluto and this Full Moons placement has to be confronted.  It cannot be ignored.  We are likely going to have to do some alterations before we can move ahead, but anything worth fighting for is worth the extra effort.  Sometimes it does not matter whether we win or not, it is all about the push to advance that really matters.

Do not give in and do not walk away.  Begin anew if this is what is required.  Make changes if this is what needs to take place.  If and when everything is in order, move forward with confidence.  Each and every one of us has the potential to succeed.

First and foremost, enjoy the fruits of your labour.

ONE TRUE ESSENCE

Material life has its significance.  If it did not, we would not be here.  Surely, however, our inner-self is not concerned with material abundance and financial rewards. If it were so important would we not be take our belongings with us when we pass on into the next stage of our soul’s existence?

We leave everything material behind but undoubtedly we bring with us our experiences and the enlightenment gained in this life.

Many people speak of their continual search for a connection with their higher self and ultimately again with source. We feel as though we are divisible beings on a journey to become one and indivisible, returning to the whole.

It would therefore seem that it is our life’s purpose to experience and gain insight that only physical existence can provide.

We are not here by chance and nothing is without its reason. Discover what this existence has to offer beyond the day to day survival requirements and chores.  Share love; exercise compassion and any and all other experiences available.

Find your truth simply by being.

Discover yourself simply by living but living fully.

We can experience deep joy through our connection with our inner self and through our connection with all who surround us.

We are one true essence!

HEMISPHERES IN ASTROLOGY, PART II

(EAST & WEST)

We continue our look at the hemispheres in Astrology.  On October 7, 2019, we focused on the Northern and Southern hemispheres.  Today we will focus on the Eastern and Western hemispheres.

The east (where the sun rises) consists of houses 10 through 3, centred around the Ascendant.  The west consists of houses 4 through 9 centred around the DC.

Western Hemisphere
The Western Hemisphere houses (4 through 9) have to do with others and our relationships with them.  This emphasis shows how we relate to others.  If we find a concentration of planets in the Western Hemisphere, we have to ask “Are we giving away ourselves and spending all our time focused on the needs of others?”  “Are we too focused on the needs of others?”

Those with this emphasis may lack self-confidence and can be reliant on others to help in life?

Some people with this emphasis are misused by others.  They give away too much of themselves.  These people can be dependent on others, and they are receptive to the needs of others.

An example of this emphasis could be four planets in retrograde in the eastern hemisphere and four planets between the 5th and 8th houses.

Eastern Hemisphere
The Eastern Hemisphere (houses 10 through 3) often depicts an individual who is self-contained, self-oriented, assertive and action oriented.  The only thing that can slow this person down would be themselves.  These individuals usually believe in themselves and feel that they can assert themselves in any way they wish.

Those with an Eastern Hemisphere emphasis can become overly protective.

In most cases these people truly feel as though they can succeed in life on their own.  This does not mean that they will not ask for assistance or take on partnership but they are quite self-reliant and depend on their own judgement.

An example of the Eastern Hemisphere might be 2 planets in the 11th house, 2 planets in the 12th house and three planets in the 2nd house with one planet in retrograde in the 7th house.

HEMISPHERES IN ASTROLOGY

(NORTH, SOUTH, EAST & WEST)

There are four hemispheres found in an Astrological natal chart.

Today we will focus on the northern and southern hemispheres.  On October 9, 2019 we will focus on the eastern and western hemispheres.

The north (which is below the horizon) consists of houses 1 through 6, centred around the IC; the south or above the horizon consists of houses 7 through 12, centred around the MC.

Northern Hemisphere
The Northern Hemisphere is said to be very individualistic and incorporates the advancement of our personality or individuality.  This area is very personal in nature.  It is a private area and those with many planets in this hemisphere are often said to be somewhat of an introvert.  The first house reflects our personal nature.  The second house relates to individual security, etc.

It has also been noted that there is the potential for unfinished business related to the early home environment or family upbringing.  An example of a concentration of planets in the northern hemisphere might be, two planets in the 2nd, three planets in the 4th house and one in the fifth.

It is also important to note that planets that are in retrograde at birth draw emphasis on the opposite hemisphere.  So if, for example, the natal chart also had two planets in retrograde one in the 9th and one in the 10th this would influence the chart as though these three planets were placed in the northern hemisphere.  This would suggest a strong emphasis in the northern hemisphere.

It has also been noted that the Northern Hemisphere is somehow attached or fixated on the past.

Southern Hemisphere
The Southern Hemisphere (7 through 12) suggests that the individual is more extroverted in nature and tends to be more social than the Northern Hemisphere individual.  The occupation seems to be more important to these individual, while the Northern hemisphere individual tends to focus their attention on the home and family.  These Southern Hemisphere individuals tend to have a broad interest in human behaviour and are interested in man’s plight.  Their focus can be quite global.

It is also indicated that these individuals are often at the mercy of life’s events.  They seem to be taken away having little control, due to life taking the leading role.

An example of a concentration of planets in the southern hemisphere might be a Stellium in the 10th house of four planets, and one planet in the 11th and also two retrograde planets in the fourth house.

Individuals with a Stellium in their chart, however, tend to be quite focused in the energies that the specific house represents as well as the sign that occupies these planets.  (If our example had three planets in close proximity to one another and the fourth planet 12 degrees away, this would no longer be considered a Stellium.)

Return on October 9 for the eastern and western focus.

TRANSITING PLUTO/SATURN CONJUNCTION

We have a very powerful conjunction coming together between transiting Pluto and transiting Saturn.  These two planets will conjunct one another directly in January of 2020 but have been in force off and on throughout 2019.  The transiting conjunction will complete its cycle by March of 2020.  Both Planets are in the sign of Capricorn which often pointing towards power struggles and leadership especially related to business and enterprise.

Remember, this is a world-wide event affecting everyone at the same time.  This could deal with politics and governmental institutions and speaks of challenging conditions causing great disruption and upheaval.  On a world scale, we can see this beginning to take place particularly in the United States with the political turmoil taking hold as this is being written.

On a personal level, we will need to see what house this conjunction falls in as well as any other planetary influence in the natal chart being affected by this conjunction.  The houses define areas of life involved in the equation while the planets from the natal chart define the energies involved.

Saturn often speaks of discipline and restrictions in place and also has to do with delays, obstruction and people in positions of authority.  Pluto speaks of disruptions and power struggles and major transformations that take hold.  The energies of Pluto can be disruptive but are often in place to produce a much needed change of direction.  Pluto tends to tear down structures and then rebuild from the ruins.  Its energies put an end to conditions so that something new and more beneficial can be built.

Saying that the energies of these two giants are intrusive and challenging is undermining the powerful influence that these planets can have on our lives.  Words cannot express clearly how powerful these planets together can be.  However, although intrusive and chaotic in nature during the change, they do build on creating a solid foundation that over time will stand the test of time and build resilience.

Saturn is the teacher and the disciplinarian, and Pluto dictates and removes that which has become stagnant and no longer serves a viable purpose.  Pluto’s action is finite and uncovers anything that needs to surface so that it can be dealt with accordingly.  What once was, no longer will be.

It will be interesting to see how these two energies link together and what the final outcome will be.  We, as individuals, will need to address what has been in place and find ways to rebuild on a more structured and solid foundation.  Above all else, we must learn from the experience.

FREEDOM TO BE YOURSELF...IN THE NOW

Do not allow yourself to be influenced and weighed down by what others want you to be.  There are individuals who are unhappy with who they are and because of this, rather than dealing with their own issues or attitudes towards themselves, they push for others to adapt to their ideas of who we should be.  What we see and dislike in others often is something that we do not like within ourselves or something we may fear.

We should never adjust who we are to please others.  We can be whomever we want to be and live our lives surrounded by love.  No one has the right to judge this.  Before we offer an opinion on someone else, which in reality is irrelevant, we need to have a look at ourselves first.

We have the freedom to choose our character traits and follow what feels right for us in that moment.  We can focus on the character traits that make us happy and content, rather than those that make us feel less than what we want to be.  Freedom of expression if offered through love is our unquestionable right, and we can be ourselves anytime and anywhere.

As mentioned many times, if we do not like what we see within ourselves, acknowledge it and then let it go.  In all cases, negative judgement is ego generated.  It is our core that truly counts.

We have to recognize this from within and then allow it to surface.

All we need is found in the moment.  By living in the perfect moment, this allows our true expression of love to flourish.

MIDPOINTS IN ASTROLOGY

Midpoints are considered one of the most successful Astrological applications available for predictive abilities.  A midpoint is the exact halfway point between two planets or two significant points (Ascendant, Midheaven) or astrological bodies (such as Chiron).  The Part of Fortune, as well as the Vertex, or other bodies that you use to delineate an Astrology Chart can also be used when calculating midpoints.

If, for example, you have Uranus at 11 degrees Cancer and the Moon at 28 degrees Scorpio, the midpoint would be 19 degrees Virgo.  If you were to have a planet or significant point in the natal chart that is within a one degree orb of 19 degrees Virgo, that planet /point would be influenced by the energies of Uranus and the Moon.  If, let’s say, you have Mars at 19 degrees, Mars would be heavily influenced by Uranus and the Moon.

With this example, when delineating transits and progressions, any planetary link to this position would also carry these overtones as well as the conjunction to Mars.  You can also use the semi-square, the square, the sesquiquadrate and the opposition when delineating this configuration.  These aspects are all divisions of 45 degrees and will bring action, create events and make these events noticeable to the individual and also, at times, to others that are involved in the equations.

Transit Midpoints are very significant when deciphering potential events especially events tied to situations that are suggested by the natal midpoints and the houses involved in the equation.   As mentioned, use an orb of no more than one degree when deciphering what potential situations may occur.  Midpoints are significant because they will provide the Astrologer with a clearer indication of what potential lies within the bounds of these transfigurations.

This can also be applied to any midpoint of any combination found in the natal chart, as the midpoint becomes a focal point when transits or progression join up and make contact with these sensitive points.  In most cases when the conjunction is activated between the two planets or significant points and the aspect is direct within one minute, you can expect something to happen.

The house location of the midpoint will provide you with the area of life affected.  Also, look at the houses the two bodies are located within in the natal chart to provide an even clearer picture.  Also take into consideration what the planets represent and how this area of life will be affected.

For example, the Moon and Uranus and Mars would suggest an emotional experience that would be sudden and unexpected with the potential for aggressive action or progressive movement in the areas of life indicated.

Midpoints can pinpoint events although the more angles involved, the harder it is to delineate.  Using the midpoint between the two planets is often sufficed in providing additional information.

When dealing with midpoints, pay particular attention to the midpoints between the Sun and the Moon, and the Ascendant and the Midheaven.
