TRANSITING VENUS CONJUNCT NATAL SUN

Venus, in transit, takes over one year to complete its cycle around the Sun.  It takes approximately 18 months from one retrograde period to the next and its retrograde cycle is approximately 40 days in length. 

Many individuals have Venus conjunct the Sun in their birth chart as Venus is never more than 48 degrees away from the Sun. 

Venus is a feminine planetary influence and is linked to the sense of touch, material things and love.  It’s energies reflect kindness and politeness and adds a flair for wanting to be around beautiful things. 

When Venus is direct in its motion, its energies want to manifest harmony, peace, beauty and love.  When it is retrograde, its energies are the reverse, often taking on energies similar to that of Mars.  During this retrograde influence, we can becomes more aggressive and the drive may still be towards gaining material abundance although when it is attached to business activities, its influence often slows things down or even moves things into reverse for a while (again under the retrograde influence). 

Check your chart to see if Venus is in retrograde or direct motion.  This will define how the energies will be released when activated by transits and progressions.

Venus conjunction the Sun will only have a lasting influence of about 10 days unless it moves into retrograde.  If this is the case, it can last much longer.  Much will depend on the energies of other planetary influences during the same period that Venus is aspecting your Sun.  This Astrologer only uses the transits of outer planets to natal Venus as the energies are often far too short to make any significant changes to our life (when using the energies of the inner planets).  However, Venus’ cycle will still have an impact on what takes place in our life but its influence will be quite short lived.

You will find that the feelings of affection are increased and your sensitivities are also enhanced during this aspect.  You may want more social time with others and you will express yourself in a comfortable manner.  Venus and the Sun usually go together very well and unless there are other mitigating factors making challenging angles to this conjunction, it generally is quite favourable.  You may feel inclined to go out and enjoy yourself, and to look after your own needs.  You may find relaxation in all that you enjoy and the challenging conditions in life may be swept away at least for a while. 

Sometimes with this aspect, you will need to make things happen.  Other times, things just seem to flow your way.  Sitting back and waiting for life, however, is never a good idea.  Take life under your wing and have some fun.

You may run into someone that adds meaning to your life under this influence.  This applies to both women and men, but Venus usually indicates the feminine gender.  Women, in general, may be lots of fun to be with now.  This aspect affects both men and women although the women seem to enjoy these energies a little more than men.

Venus is also about creativity and artistic abilities.  You may find that pursuing anything that push these abilities may work in your favour.  The energies flow well into these areas and you may find that you enjoy this part of your life more under this influence. 

Starting a new project might be a good idea and make sure that you surround yourself with visual complements that help you settle into things.  Beauty is important and you can create wonderful things during this short stay with the conjunction between Venus and the Sun.

PARENTAL INFLUENCE

In some way, we are influenced by those we meet along life’s journey, and in particular, we are highly influenced by our parents and family members.  If we think about how we were brought up, we probably note that many of the things that our parents taught us have been carried forward and we are still utilizing some of them today. 

It can work quite the opposite as well.  Because of some of the ways we were influenced we are determined NOT to bring forward some of these influences.  In some cases we were influenced by our parents in a very challenging way (I refuse to use the word “negative”) and now because of these, we teach or influence our children differently.  We should be thankful that we have learned from these lessons as our children benefit from these.

In many cases the foundation of our attitude and belief structures were put in place in our formative years and we have hopefully adapt these throughout our lives.  If we were loved and felt warmth and compassion from our parents, most likely we are comfortable in our own skin.  We move forward with confidence and with fewer internal challenges than some others who may have experienced little or no love and affection.  It is important to remember though that love and affection can be shown in many different ways however.

There are conflicting articles as to the most impressionable years of a child’s development – some say the first five years, some say the first seven years and yet others same from six to 14.  Apparently, all years are important to provide a positive influence on our children and their development. 

Do we teach our children through fear or do we teach them through love?  This question may seem ridiculous to most of us but certainly one that needs to be contemplated.  What example are we setting?

So many parents teach their children to engage their minds but equally important, are we teaching them to engage their hearts?  If they learn to respect and love themselves, they will be able to love and respect others.

Even though we are influenced by our upbringing, when we reach the age of self awareness, we are free to choose and mold our own personal responses to life.  We are free to change any aspect of ourselves and nothing from our past has to be adopted as our own.  If our upbringing was less than ideal, we can accept our past as that (our past) and we can move forward and leave it where it belongs, in the past.   

Once we reach the stage of self awareness we realize that we are responsible for whom we are.  No one has control over us unless we hand over that control to them.  Sometimes we just need to look back to see and understand what took place and by doing so, we realize that we can make any change we want to.

Yes, our parents have an influence and can provide us with a good foundation but with self awareness if that foundation makes you feel less than perfect, we have the choice of pouring new footings and building your own foundation.

MOON SQUARE SATURN (Natal aspect)

Those individuals that Saturn has a square aspect to the Moon in their natal chart likely have a difficult time expressing their emotions.  This is particularly true if, for instance, Mercury is also square to the Moon perhaps in conjunction with Saturn.  They may appear emotionally distant, cold or detached but this may not hold true on an internal perspective, especially if the Moon is in a water sign.

When we look only at the Moon and Saturn (without any other influence), these individuals may actually be hesitant to express their emotions.  Perhaps there could be a reluctance to display emotions because they were restricted emotionally by a parent.  Quite often those with this combination had a challenge due to the resistance of emotional release from the mother, and as a result, they were not permitted or were held back from releasing their emotions.  They may have been pushed to bury their sensitivity at a young age.  The Mother or “normally more feminine parent” may have been a strict disciplinarian and always showed strength and determination.  This parent may have wanted to pass this on to their children.  Much will depends, however, on the sign of the Moon and its house placement in the natal chart.

The Moon also is reflective of our nurturing abilities and our protective instincts towards our own children and those that we deem to be emotionally in need.  Individuals with this square would most likely have a protective urge and would keep their children within arm’s reach.  There may be a fear that their children need to be protected and they will do so with great intensity.  There may also be challenging conditions linked to nurturing and their ideas of nurturing may be tight fisted and there would be a lesson of learning to have a softer touch.  These individual could be hard on their children and also hard on themselves from an emotional perspective.

Saturn can also be reflective of a demanding authoritative figure. 

In personal terms, this combination can suggest an individual who is very controlled and disciplined always appearing to be in control of life’s situations and never showing their sensitivities.  Emotions may be viewed as a weakness and even when they are experiencing turmoil within, they appear restrained and measured. 

Saturn is the disciplinarian but also the teacher.  Although the road to emotional expression may be hindered, the goal may be to restrain oneself in emotionally intense situations in life and in turn to learn from this approach. 

Control may be a lesson in this life.  A more relaxed and slow but deliberate release of emotions may unclog the tension that this natal aspect might hold.  Letting go of fear can reduce this tension and it is important to know that all challenging aspects in the birth chart can be remedied if the individual is willing to put in the work to overcome and learn from the aspect.  If they can do this, the energies will no longer hold them tight on a leash.

A WARM TOUCH

There are so many people struggling with issues and they feel alone and without assistance.  They feel lost in the confusion and caught up in stories and expectations. 

What stories initiated these feelings – a relationship, self-worth, past experiences when it seemed it did not matter how hard they tried, they always felt stifled by those that meant the most to them?  Many of us carry the past forward into today’s experience and continue on with an attitude that only hinders our progress.

If not us personally, many of us know someone who is dealing with these exact issues.  We can offer assistance and sometimes all they need to do is talk and get their feelings out.  Life can be very difficult for those caught up in the shortfalls of their expectations. 

Most of us at some point in life have spent some time in this place. A kind word or a honest observation may be exactly what is needed to help propel these individuals beyond their current focus.  We may not even be aware of the importance of our words yet they can be a defining moment in someone else’s life.

We are here to experience life in the moment.  The ride may be bumpy at times but this is only temporary if we do not set up shop in an event’s memory.  We are all very resilient and in most cases each of us can get through challenging experiences on our own but there is no substitute for the support and love of friend and family. 

With the experience of another hurdle behind us, we are just a little bit wiser and stronger from the experience.  Many times, our focus and expectations stand in our way to overcome that hurdle quickly.  If we can allow and acknowledge and then move on, life is so much easier emotionally.

For those around us going through a life lesson, we can be that helping hand, that warm touch.  We can offer support which in turn provides the last little push for these individuals to lift themselves over the hurdles.  Although we can offer advice and loving support, they are the ones that have to discover their own strength and make the decisions necessary to find their way clear to learn the lessons as they are presented. 

Offer that helping hand.  Be that warm touch of support.  It never hurts to let someone know that you are by their side and remind them that they can overcome and be better for it in the end.

Life’s lessons can always be learned and once digested are the source of strength and growth.

SUN SQUARE MARS IN THE NATAL CHART

Information about our path in life, our self-expression and most any other thing about who we are and the journey we are taking can be outlined in our Astrology chart. 

An Astrology chart is a road map of our life’s journey and can be very indicative of the view that we experience along the way.  It defines our upbringing, our emotional interaction, our expression and thought process, our love expression or lack thereof and our sense of well being just to touch on some examples.  The birth or natal chart is the snapshot of our lives written in the language of an Astrologer and forever embedded in our consciousness.

The Sun characteristics are a definition of our inner self.  It indicates the path we will follow and is suggestive of our goals in life and our self-expression.  The Sun by aspect also describes our experience with our father or the more masculine parent and our concepts of this individual.  The Sun is tied to our path.  The aspects to it will in part define how we move ahead in life and will define obstructions on the path.  It will give us indicators of how we can use the energies to our advantage as we propel ourselves forward in life.

Our focus today is the Sun Square Mars in the birth or natal chart.  We will focus on what this aspect would suggest in a birth chart.  With the Sun square to Mars especially by tight aspect, this individual would feel as though life has to be fought in order to win or move ahead.  It would be suggestive that this will not be an easy journey, but the energy of a square does provide the push to move beyond barriers that stand in the way of life’s progress and this individual will strive to overcome any adversity.  Mars and the Sun are similar in that they are both linked to achievement, energy and drive in life.  With the square aspect, work is required on some level, much is dependent upon the signs of Mars and the Sun, as well as the houses they are located in within the birth chart.  The challenge for this individual would be to move through adversity and strive to make something out of self.  This may be from an internal perspective but can also be based on outer achievements and a strong push to succeed at their life’s endeavors.

The Sun, as mentioned, does represent the father or more masculine or disciplinarian parent.  With the square to Mars, it is often representative of a battle on some level with this parent.  This may have been in physical terms as they may have had an argumentative disposition which could create combative and  challenging situations.  This parent may also have been the propelling force behind promoting self which in turn pushed for achievement.  This parent may have been aggressive or gruff in their behaviour and they may have used forceful tactics to achieve what was important to them.  This parent probably had to fight for success just as the child (subject of the astrology chart) most likely will have to.  The relationship between the two, this individual with the aspect and their parent in question, may not have been easy, but hopefully the individual with this aspect can find a way of understanding their parent’s motives.  This parent may feel that in order to achieve it is important to push one’s self and that the road of life may not be an easy one, so the parent’s methods may not be considered passive and gentle.

If the energies of this aspect are used appropriately, this individual will find a way to push past any obstruction and will have a strong drive to conquer anything that stands in their way.  This aspect will promote strength and determination to succeed regardless of intrusion and will build character and an inner determination as time passes. 

If the energies are not used appropriately, this individual may give in to the pressures of life and feel that it is useless to pursue any goals of meaning because of the hurdles that seem to stand in the way. 

It is important to understand that all challenges within the natal chart can learn and overcome.  Once we have learned from the challenges, we building strength and endurance; and we learn to recognize that we can conquer anything with the right approach.

SUN IN SAGITTARIUS NOVEMBER 22/2018

SUN IN SAGITTARIUS NOVEMBER 22/2018

The Sun moved into the fiery sign of Sagittarius late on November 22, 2018 in our area (Ontario). 

Those with their Sun sign in the element fire are enthusiastic about life and eager to make things happen.  They are energetic, self-motivated, self-confident and optimistic in their approach.  They often react spontaneously without much forethought and are stimulated by life.  These qualities are quite common for anyone born under a fire sign or with a strong emphasis in the element fire in their birth charts.

Sagittarians are enthusiastic about life’s experience and have a love of travel and the outdoors.  The wide open spaces intrigue them and exploration is high on their priority list. 

In most cases, they are optimistic about life and you would find them stating, even under the harshest conditions, that “something good is just around the next corner”.  Their optimism can be quite contagious.  Much of this approach to life’s matters is due to their ruling planet which is Jupiter.

Jupiter is an expansive energy and when linked to Sagittarius, there will be an interest in philosophy, religion, spirituality and anything that can provide them with the opportunity to expand their horizons.  Some will go to extremes to further their education, whether this education is actual schooling or the school of life.  Often higher education is part of the typical Sagittarian goals.  These individuals are open to most anything that you would classify intriguing.  They search for the truth in life through personal experience. 

Those with their Sun in the early degrees of Sagittarius currently have Jupiter conjunct their Sun.   Jupiter will transit all those with their Sun in Sagittarius at some point (timing will depend on the degree of their Sun) until December of 2019.  As Jupiter is the ruling planet of Sagittarius this is considered a very favorable conjunction, although the whole natal chart has to be examined to see how this could transpire. 

Jupiter brings with it good luck and opportunities for expansion.  If, for example, this conjunction would fall in the second house of the astrology chart, the potential for financial increase is heightened when the conjunction is direct.  Any security issue would also work in a favorable manner, but once again you have to take into consideration all the other transits including Neptune which is square this placement and Uranus which is in trine to this placement currently.  If the Sun is poorly aspected in the birth chart then the potential is not as favorable as it would be if the Sun were well aspected.

Transiting Uranus (as a result of the trine mentioned earlier) could bring opportunities in an unexpected manner for those with their Sun in the late degrees of Sagittarius.  Trines bring easy flow and beneficial potential, while squares bring obstacles and may indicate challenging conditions linked to this configuration. 

Transiting Neptune is square to those with their Sun in the mid degrees of Sagittarius.  It would be wise to make sure that any plans with pushing ahead with some goal be reviewed for clarity before plunging headfirst into action if your Sun is in the mid degree of Sagittarius.  Neptune tends to put a veil of uncertainty over things especially when it is square by aspect.  However, it could also open doors to mysticism and spirituality, although it would not come easily and a lot of self-reflection would be required (without rose colored glasses being worn).  It is important to see things as they are, not as you might wish them to be.  Realism is important with this connection but can be found under the right conditions.  Once again, you will have to take into consideration the overall story the birth chart is telling and all other mitigating factors that might either impede or augment this aspect between Neptune and the Sun.

REMOVING THE SHACKLES

We can be tightly bound by our beliefs.  If, for example, we think of ourselves as a failure in life, or believe that we are not worthy of love and happiness, then we stop ourselves short of success, love and happiness.   

If we believe that there is little to no future for us, how can we possibly move beyond these barriers to build the future of our dreams?  We have reduced our potential and have held ourselves back because of these attitudes.

Some have argued that “off and on throughout life I have been faced with challenging conditions and it seems as though no matter how hard I try to push ahead nothing seems to ever work.” 

We do not know what this journey will hold for us and at times we will experience conditions and events that we did not choose to experience.  However any challenging experiences offer rewards.  I am sure you have heard this before and you may be tired of hearing such statements.  Part of you may believe these to be hogwash.  If this is the case, why are there repetitive themes in life?  Why to the same issues keep resurfacing?

If we do not learn, the lesson will repeat. 

Our attitude can make a valuable lesson easily learned or it can make a valuable lesson feel as though it is a punishment.  Pay attention to how you look at life’s events. 

Sometimes lessons repeat themselves because we need to make changes in our surroundings and other time we just need to shift our attitude.  Believe it or not, the easiest test is to make a shift in attitude and then review where this takes you. 

Change may not happen overnight but then again it might.  It is important to remember that it has taken us some time to get to where we currently are so it is quite possible it may take some time for the shift to take hold but that is okay.  We are not in a hurry. 

Have patience and believe in yourself.  See ego’s chatter for what is actually is.  Ego insists on giving you a hard time and the closer you get to recognizing its false influence, the harder it tries to convince you it is right.  Eventually we see ego for what it really is and we do not have to give it control over our lives.

Ego, from its negative perspective, does not realize that we can actually have a wonderful working relationship.  With the proper relationship ego can help and we can be stronger because of it.  Ego can nurture our creative self.

It is time to release the shackles of negative attitude and underestimating our ability to love life.  As with everyone, we are entitled to happiness and we can prosper in our own ways.  Life provides whatever we feel we are worthy off.  If you feel unworthy, you will be.  If you love yourself, life will be filled with love.  Recognize that life reflects our believe structure and our expectations.

FULL MOON - NOVEMBER 23, 2018

On November 23, 2018, at 12:41 a.m. EST, we will experience the Full Moon which will be in the sign of Gemini at zero degrees.  This Beaver Full Moon will be in opposition to Jupiter which is at three degrees Sagittarius.  The Full Moon will also square (by wide angle) Mars which is at four degrees in the sign of Pisces, and last but not least the Full Moon will sextile the North Node which is at twenty-nine degrees Cancer.  It is safe to say that will be an energy charged Full Moon. 

Knowing that during the energies of a Full Moon you should harvest the goals you have plants and nurtured in life and with the Full Moon being in the sign of Gemini and in the first decant, this would suggest that you should take the time to digest any information you have acquired and then communicate the knowledge and understandings you have gathered in the recent past.  Some Astrologers suggest that the culmination of events or experiences that are ripe for harvest go back to seeds planet about one month previously; other Astrologers, including me, believe that these seeds were planets at the New Moon phase under the same sign.  In this case, it would have been goals set under the New Moon in Gemini on May 29, 2018 that are now ready to yield.  You would have had six months to nurture and work towards this harvest.  When you work with the energies that are available, it makes reaching goals much more easy.  If you plant seeds relating to Gemini’s energies, such as developing communicational skills or going back to school to learn, under the New Moon in Gemini, you should be able to bring these goals (harvest) to the next stage under the energies of this Full Moon.

Gemini’s energies assist with digesting knowledge, sharing information and in a positive sense putting this knowledge into concrete action.  However, Gemini tends to cultivate many things at the same time, and as a result, you may move too quickly or not spending enough time in any one give area to becoming an expert in any field.  Gemini can be too scattered. 

With this in mind, it will be imperative that you narrow down, by order of importance, what you are focusing under these energies.  Do not be too broad with your horizons.  There are many extraordinary ideas generated by this intellectual earth sign; however the energies may need to be honed in a specific direction. 

The energies may focus on written material or the signing of important documents.  It will be important to make sure that all the material has gone through a structured, systematic review before you move ahead with your ideas.  Do your due diligence.

With this Full Moon being in sextile to the North Node, there is often an opportunity available with what is taking place.  The path is clear and you have an outline of what you can do to push ahead in your endeavors. 

Sometimes someone comes into your life who can assist in some way during this period and with Jupiter in opposition to this Full Moon, the potential for success is highlighted, as long as you take each step in order and have not jump because of impatience.  Jupiter often brings good luck and opportunities and the potential for growth and expansion. 

As mentioned, there is also a wide square to transiting Mars with this Full Moon’s positioning.  This energy (although it is out by four degrees,) may still have some impact in some way.  Mars’ energies push us ahead with little restraint and this might hinder things somewhat if you are not totally ready to make this move ahead.  The Full Moon often suggests however that the time is ripe for manifesting. 

If your advance is too aggressively or in a very forceful manner, the outcome may not be as successful as it could have been if you carefully planning out your steps.  Mars can be an agitator for action and rather dynamic in its exchange.  However it does appear that you are on the right path due to the sextile from the North Node.  Push ahead and if something does go astray, you can always begin again with the information from the challenge to give you better odds for the outcome with your second attempt.  We always learn a great deal from our challenges and challenges do not mean we have to give up.

HOLDING ON TO LOVED ONES

During the course of our lifetime, we will have experienced many struggles, some of which are extremely hard to move beyond. 

Most of us experience the loss of a relationship, especially when we are young.  A breakup can be so in intense and devastating that we hold on blindly, hoping that circumstances will change and our partner will miraculously come back to us.  Sometimes, this does happen and if so, this usually does not happen until we have actually finally let go.  The act of letting go often opens the door to what needs to happen next.

If we are blessed with longevity in life, it is inevitable that we will experience our parents becoming old and feeble.  Many parents, if they live long enough, will likely lose the ability to take care of themselves without have some type of assistance.  We each do our best to show them the love and support they need.  Eventually, they move beyond this material existence and we have to learn to release and allow.  They are always with us but certainly not in the form and energy that we are accustomed to.

Life in this material world is finite.  For most of us that are left behind, (family and friends) the struggle with loss is real and challenging.  Losing friends and family is challenging. 

In some cases, we were able to prepare for the final day, but most times, death is unexpected.  Many feel at a loss even for the little things such as not being able to say goodbyes.

Those that love us would never want us to hang on to the past, as life on this earth is for the living.  Living in the past is not living, it is only existing. 

A friend once said after losing his wife that he refused to grieve.  Instead of grieving his loss, he chose to celebrate that he and his wife were able to share the years that they had together.  He had no regrets.  His attitude truly supports the saying “It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”.  What a wonderful way to look at the death of a loved one. 

Each of us deal with grief and loss in our own way.  There is no right way and there is no wrong way.  We have to reach deep within and find our personal answers. 

No matter how we decide to grieve any loss, eventually we have to let go and move on to be able to live again.  If we choose to hold on and not let go, then actually more than one person stopped living during that one death experience.   

We will never forget and why would we want to.  Celebrate the experiences that have been shared.  Nothing can take those away. 

Our loved ones are never far away.  When we think of them, they are close by.  Do not be afraid or uncomfortable to talk to them.  They hear you.  Many times they respond if we are open to their responses.   Pay attention to the smells when you are thinking of them.  Pay attention to how you feel when you think of them.  They show up in so many different ways.

If you are at a crossroad and someone near and dear has left you, let go and allow.  This will open doors that would otherwise be left closed.  Allow yourself to live again.  We are never alone and we can always reach out for support if it is needed. 

Live life to its fullest.  Be in the moment and appreciate life’s wonders as they are ever present yet only experience by those who are open to them.

TRANSITING PLUTO CONNECTED TO THE NATAL MOON

The transit of Pluto to the natal Moon suggests intense emotional interaction and change in life. This is a powerful connection and deals with our psychological ability to deal with emotional interactions either with others (people in our immediate environment) or inner dialogue, with the intent of bringing whatever needs to surface out into the open. This is a “feeling” aspect and the energies are not subtle in any way, although the energies may have been hidden up until the conjunction aspect.

The energies of Pluto will bring things to the surface and makes us deal with them. In many cases the things brought to the surface are not easy to digest. If our life has been relatively stable and steady, this period could bring about a state of unrest when transformations are apparent and we will have to adapt to them.

The areas of life that are being affected are determined by the house transiting Pluto is moving through as well as the natal house placement of Pluto. This transit will also affect any area of life determined by other natal aspects to the Moon as these areas are connected and will affect the overall current conditions. If the Natal Moon has many challenging natal aspects then this can be an emotionally charged time in our life. It might be very upsetting and we may find ourselves being emotionally abused or mishandled during this time. If the natal Moon is aspected by softer influences, the transformation will not be as challenging.

Sometimes the issues that come to the surface are from early life that were swept under the carpet and have now come to the surface or are discovered by others. Sometimes this can be a private time and the events may only involve us personally and the other specific individual involved. There is great potential for transformations on many levels during this time, especially so with family and loved ones. Any relationships that are based on emotional response can be energized during this time.

The Moon is often representative of the home and we may find that we move under this influence or we make changes to our residence in a big way. These changes could be structural or a major improvement or alteration occurs within the family residence.

This aspect may be a little upsetting but we should know that the changes that are taking hold in our life are reflective of changes taking place on an internal level. Life manifests according to our needs and the energy we put into different areas of our life. This aspect will be the preliminary step required to move us in a direction that is necessary from an inner perspective.

Do not fight the process. Be sure to og along willingly for the ride. It will be a much more gentle transition that way.

PROGRESSED SUN CONJUNCT THE MIDHEAVEN OR ASCENDANT

The progressed Sun moves one degree per year.  The progressed Sun governs ambition, power and authority.  It also is indicative of our vitality and the ability to recuperate from illnesses.  It often identifies the husband or masculine parent in a woman’s chart as well as authority figures in life such as superiors within the working environment.  It could, however, also be directly related to you.

The influence of the progressed Sun on the Midheaven or Ascendant is generally in effect for three years.  The energies can be felt as much as one and one-half degrees before it becomes direct and the same period after it moves away from being exact. 

When the progressed Sun is in conjunction with the natal Ascendant, it can indicate a time of advancement in life on many levels.  This could include favourable opportunities for change and opportunities for inner achievement and/or outer success.  It can also indicate the potential for meeting someone that will have a great influence over you and will teach you many life lessons.  It could also suggest that the more dominant parent or in some cases the son have available to them opportunities that the aspect and placement suggests.   These influences would be of a positive note if there are other conditions within the chart that suggest similar opportunities.

The progressed Sun on the Ascendant often implies that the health is robust and feelings linked to good health are often a by-product of this aspect.  Much depends on the influence of other transits and progressions affecting the Ascendant during the three year period of influence.

When the progressed Sun is in conjunction to the Midheaven depending on the age of the individual, they may find advancement opportunities in their occupation or may graduate from University.  Some of life’s objectives often materialize when the progressed Sun reaches this degree.  More opportunities for hopes and wishes to manifest are often indicated when the Progressed Sun reaches the MC (Midheaven).  Changes of a positive nature to status in life may occur or present themselves.  Much depends on the natal potential, but the time is ripe for opportunities to enhance the career or to move ahead in life during this aspect.

If the Progressed Sun were conjunct the MC, it would also be in opposition to the IC suggesting changes to the home environment and to family members.  Oppositions usually imply actions from someone else.  This could suggest that a son or possibly a daughter might move from home especially if Venus or Mars is somehow connected to this position.  There may be potential for income or opportunities involving the home.  More potential is suggested when the Progressed Sun is in conjunction to the IC, as conjunctions offer more opportunities than opposition angles.  Oppositions often suggest reversals or challenging conditions that often stem from others.

When deciphering the Progressed Sun always take into consideration the natal potential and the transits and progressions to the chart as a whole.  Remember there has to be three or more similar aspects to stimulate an event, either through transit or progression.  The more aspects involved, the greater the possibilities for an event to occur.

FINDING THE BALANCE

Our ability to search for truth is dependent upon our ability to recognize it when it is before us. 

There are many paths leading us to an understanding of unfamiliar conceptions.  Many messages will be torn apart by our ego as ego’s main objective is to maintain control.  Learning new concepts can frighten us and ego will take this opportunity to try to regain control.  If we listen to ego, we will close the door to new information.  If we recognize ego for what it is, its attempts to control will be futile as the truth will always push us in the appropriate direction.

The key with all things is to find balance.  We must allow the peace within to over flow.  We can find contentment in knowing that we already have whatever it is we are in search of.  We should attempting to bring forth our higher consciousness that already exists within and then form an alliance between our earthly self and higher self and find balance between them.  While in the material world we must live a physical life yet still attached to our higher self for understanding.  We are one with our higher self yet we feel separated by mental structures when only focused on an earthly existence which stands in the way to our true knowing.

The inner self surfaces at times, and each time we does, we allow the attributes that surfaces to align and mold with our earthly self.  Our higher self has no boundaries and we are capable of anything, but we first have to recognize and accept this.

Our earthly journey passes quickly, so it helps our development along if we can believe (have faith) in our potential.  Our belief structures must be open as we journey our path and ultimate destiny.  These belief structures if allows to expand, allow growth and further understanding.

Move into full alignment through balancing the inner self with the outer self.  Consciousness awaits us.
