A VOTE OF CONSCIENCE

In our changing environment we have to adapt to life circumstances and yet still live to our full potential.  Above all else, we should live with a clear conscience. 

What is our conscience? 

Our conscience is signaled by a heart filled with delights, a heart filled with excitement which spills over to an overall feeling of good and contentment.  If we do not live up to our own person standards, life can feel heavy and we carry the weight of the world internally. 

If denying or ignoring our personal standards has this much influence on us personally, imagine the effects our actions or lack of actions have on those around us too.  We are all one so anything we do or fail to do also has an effect or touches those around us.

 

Unfortunately under these principles anyone in power, politically or otherwise, also affects the multitudes.  Those in high power, then affect the masses of the world, in one form or another. 

If there is an opportunity to right a wrong should we take that opportunity?  What actions are needed and what actions are acceptable within your standards? 

There are times when it is imperative that we take a stand for what we believe in.  Sometimes we, as a whole, can make changes that will in turn affect many and prove to be invaluable in the future.  Other times a single person, making a simple small adjustment, can have expansive effects in our world. 

Follow your heart and take a step back from the constant chatter of the ego for the ego can be a tyrant. When we can help others with an open heart, we not only help those that are in need but we also help ourselves.  When we promote love and compassion and act with integrity and are trustworthy, we will discover those exact qualities in that which surrounds us.

We can again regain honor and righteousness within ourselves, our communities, our country, hell …..our world.  If we stand by our truth and teach by example, it can become contagious; maybe so contagious that it will be reflected in those individuals that have an influence in our world. 

As John Lennon once sang, “You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I not the only one.  I hope someday you’ll join us and the world can live as one”.
