Chosen Family

In our lives there are generally two types of families. There are the families that consist of biological family members such as brothers, sisters and parents and there are families that consist of those members we meet during our life whom we call friends. Some family members will become our closest friends whether biological or not. Some close friends can have a greater impact on our lives than our biological family members.

These unique individuals have been brought into our lives for specific reasons. They come to share our life’s experience. These individuals are important factors at crucial periods in our lives.

The importance of these biological or found friends cannot be measured or weighed especially during times of stress and anguish. Many times, their input uplifts us when life presents us with obstacles and challenges that seem too powerful for us to conquer on our own. At these times, you could call these individuals guardian angels that have been sent to our rescue. Some friends are temporary and will disappear after they have served their purpose. Others remain constant companions throughout our lives and we share our intimacies and enjoy our special moments together with them.

Many have a higher purpose and they hand over their reigns to someone new when they have completed whatever they were sent to do. They seem to gradually fade away and it is sometimes difficult to let go of them as you have come to know them well and they you.

Never underestimate the importance of these individuals as it is not by chance that they have come into your life. Look deep to see what it is that they have come to assist you in learning. Sometimes what you like about them most is something that you need to develop within yourself. Other times what you fear or detest most about them is a quality that is part of your own makeup that must be acknowledged and then released.

For those friends that endure life’s constant evolutionary change, persevere and remain, always adapting and moving within the confines of your evolutionary growth, you should understand that these are special people. You have undoubtedly walked together before this life with them. The two of you have chosen to meet up again and exchange in-depth connection that few experience. These are your special unions and there is a significant purpose within this alliance.

There are those that circumstance seems to remove from your grasp but their presents continues to hold a special place in your heart. Some are taken away early in the union for unknown reasons and the loss is intense. With these individuals, you feel that your time together was too short but it is imperative that you appreciate the time shared.

Acknowledge the importance of each of your friendships. Life is short and you are intended to meet and form great relationships. Friends and family members are an important part of your life and you theirs. Cherish the special moments in time that you have together.

Scorpio

Today, the 24th of October, 2013, the Sun moves into the sign of Scorpio. For those of you born under the sign of Scorpio through the Sun sign, have your Rising Sign in Scorpio, or with a heavy influence of planets in the eighth house, this post will apply to you.

Those of you born with the Sun in Scorpio have probably heard of the symbol of the scorpion, but have you heard of the other two symbols related to the sign of Scorpio--the eagle and the serpent/salamander and of course the Scorpion. These three symbols speak primarily of evolution. The scorpion represents the lowest form of these three symbols. This symbol has to do with devilish motives and has a reputation of being selfish, self-centred, and jealous. These individuals generally lash out on impulse. The Scorpio personality at this stage of development will get even at some point.

The Serpent or Salamander is wise and usually successful in worldly affairs. They have a tendency to keep their identity somewhat hidden as they choose to keep the “self” secret. Because of this, they are difficult to get to know, let alone understand. They usually have a powerful personality and people are aware of their presence. They are able to go below the surface and easily pinpoint faults in others, but rarely see their own. They are very sure of themselves, and proof is an essential part of their learning process. They need some type of solid evidence and then it will be scrutinized. Only to their own satisfaction will they arrive at a suitable conclusion. They are persistent and determined to reach their goals although not particularly materialistic.

The third and highest evolved type is the Eagle. The key to this personality is to get to the truth. They are very self-aware and work relentlessly towards the betterment of society. They are helpful and courteous and weaker individuals gain much needed strength from them. They genuinely inspire those around them and have a soft spot for the underdog. They will help anyone in need and always put others before themselves. The Eagle personality makes excellent leaders. In emergencies, they are calm, cool and collected with great self-control. They have the capacity to devote themselves totally to a cause that produces positive results. They have mystical abilities and psychic tendencies and have a great love of mankind.

If you were were to study all these characteristics and have strong Scorpio tendencies, you may find a mix of many of these different qualities within you. You may elevate yourself from one to the next and push yourself to the greatest heights if you choose to follow the path of the Eagle. Most Scorpio individuals do not need applause or admiration and are proud but not egotistical. Some have an undeveloped search for self-satisfaction and are well known for their sexual energy and pursuits.

Scorpio is a difficult sign for women to be born into as Scorpio individuals are often dominant, masterful and inside have enormous emotions with intense feelings. Both men and women usually look older in their younger years but age gracefully and look younger in their mature years.

Scorpio men are aggressive in their sexual pursuit as are some women. This is not to say that they cannot control their sexual energies as they have powerful self-controlled. They can be demanding and if they become lustful must learn to fight this energy before they will have a chance to find happiness.

These characteristics point out some of the significant features of the Scorpio Sun sign. For more information on the impact that the sign of Scorpio may have on your individual makeup, please feel free to contact us and we can go deeper and uncover some of the more subtle characteristics to your personality.

Your Place in the World

For those of you that are trying to find your place in the world and have become restless in this pursuit, be certain that there is a calling that is just meant for you. Many of you move forward with your professions or return to school to further your education; yet you still wonder what your journey might entail. Do you take a position that is being offered? Do you move in a different direction? Know that regardless of the worldly importance connected to your job, you are making a difference. The work you carry out is important and certainly has its place. The people that you touch within this framework hold far greater relevance than the actual job. Whether these people actually see or know you is not important. We are not in our roles simply for recognition.

If you find yourself in the trades, or working at a job such as a waitress serving others doing what must be done with superiors ever watching over your shoulder, know that this is okay. It is all part of the process even though the bosses, patrons, clients, whoever they may be, do not show appreciation. You are here to do a job or a service. Do your best and do not worry about what others think. This is all part of your learning process and the obstacles and challenges you meet along that road are not barriers to overcome, they are testing grounds for higher learning connected to your spiritual evolution.

You are serving your purpose through your daily regime, in the constant movement from one day to the next. Rather than becoming bored or unsatisfied in your occupation as the mind always gravitates to higher ground and wants more, be happy and know that all things in life are temporary and each one of our experiences are prerequisites to furthering who we are as an individuals.

Pay attention to the daily routine, and practice the art of being kind and helpful. See the benefits start to unfold. Most people will pick up on this attitude; regardless of how menial or meaningful you are to the people you work with. Think of your employees and employers as working mates and treat them the way that you would like them to treat you. Undoubtedly there will always be that one renegade worker bound and bent to inflict hardship on everyone, but take a moment and think about their life. Why are they so intent on bringing others down? Misery always needs company. Depression is a lonely place and many believe through some twisted concept that by making others unhappy, they will raise their own happiness. Unfortunately, as you know, by sending out to the universe nothing but contempt, you can only expect more of the same.

Today when you make your way to work, stop for a moment and focus on how fortunate you are in your world. If you are on the receiving end of some form of disarray, stand tall and acknowledge the universal lesson you are learning. Once learned, a change will eventually occur. Be happy! Share happiness and it will be plentifully returned.

Nodes in the Houses - Astrology

In a previous post on September 19, 2013, we discussed the Moon’s Nodes second return. We will discuss the Moon’s Nodes in the houses in this segment. There are two nodes of the Moon, the north node and the south node. The north node represents the “un”-trodden path that we have chosen in this lifetime. It is the path chosen by our higher self to generate as much enlightenment into our consciousness as possible in this incarnation. The aspects to this node represent the challenges and obstacles we will need to overcome in order to find this route and the easiest assistance we will gain in mastering our destiny’s calling.

The South node is representative of the past or previous incarnation and what we have brought over with us to assist us in our new journey. In the very least, it is the abilities that come natural to us. The north node is a road not previously traveled while the south node is a road well known. As a result, following our destiny can be somewhat difficult as entering into the unknown is always a difficult step to take.

The traits and abilities represented by the south node are easy to fall back onto when the going gets tough. It is an area where there is little conflict. However, taking this easy route impedes our progress and basically halts any forward motion. The north node is a point in destiny that leaves us wide open to begin to cultivate the information and experiences needed to move us in our intended direction. It could be termed the steps needed in order to attain our spiritual conquest and the enlightened path.

The north node is our destiny and the route we must follow. As we take this flight, the higher forces assist us in maintaining a continued educational process, and help us uncover our potential by offering insights and conditions that will encourage us to continue on our developmental path. The north node is an ongoing adventure that may take many lifetimes to reach the culmination point, but we are all equipped with the needed ingredients to attest to this momentum. When we are experiencing difficulties and challenging situations in this life, this is when the north node’s route is opening and usually when we are faced with complications. This is when we can call on the ingrained knowledge that we have brought with us from previous incarnations or early life experiences.

There are twelve houses in Astrology and each house deals with a different area of life. The placement of the north node by house position tells us what direction that we are pursuing in this life and what specific areas of life will be activated in order for us to pursue and ultimately obtain our goals.

Let us assist you in transforming your life’s mission by uncovering your life’s calling. We can offer support and help you to align with your current purpose. By looking into the various aspects in your Natal Chart that either offer assistance or create hindrances to your overall growth, we can assist in helping you to move forward in your quest.

Love "Again"

Last week, we posted a thought and within this message something stood out which I found to be profound. I believe that our writings are trans-written through assistance from other forces and I often have to reread our writings once they have been posted in order to absorb the message. I would like to share these few words from the previous post with you again, as it moved something within me and it might do the same for you.

“Love is beyond all measure and cannot be scrutinized. It cannot falter and it never ends. Love is pure and cannot be filtered. The essence of love has no boundaries and encompasses everything. Even impurity can be transformed through the spirit of love. Nothing is untouchable and everything is within loves reach.”

I hope you find these few words as inspirational as I do. I am thankful for the words that flow through me. These thoughts flow from a force beyond our limited sight, and yet link with us every step of the way.

Open up to the purity of love, and let it radiate into everything you touch in life.
