Currently, Jupiter and Saturn are making a trine to one another. If you have other planets or your Ascendant or Midheaven is near 18 degrees and particularly in a water sign, these planets will be affecting your life. You could give these interconnecting points and planets a three degree orb of influence -- 15-21 degrees of any sign, but particularly water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. These two planets will be in trine for most of November and December of this year and then again in May and June of 2014 when they make the same connection once again.
Often times, the first connection, which will be in effect now, signifies the earlier stages of the event. The final pass or connection is often indicative of the culminating effects and action taken by you that sets the stage for further unfolding. This is considered a time of equilibrium as well as a sense of order. Although you may have to work diligently towards any given goal, you are in a much better position to reap rewards for hard work. Your professional life, especially if the MC is accentuated during this time, will move steadily towards the intended direction.
The organizational aptitude that these aspects imply will push you towards solid and beneficial rewards for all your hard work. There is an apparent understanding of the rules within the rules and higher learning play a part in these unfolding events. You are more willing to accept life’s obligations and you are working towards improving your future possibilities. It seems that people in authority are more eager to take heed to your advice, as they see potential in your undertakings and realize that this may improve their own personal position.
Saturn is often indicative of older individuals or authority personalities that are now willing to provide you with assistance not only in work related ways, but also in your personal areas of life. You are in a position to gain from their inherent knowledge and if you pay attention, they can assist you towards future goals, both personal and through business.
This is a time to amalgamate many aspects of your life and plan for your future. You can now make peace with any hindrances and obstacles that were in your way, and they may now be removed which will clear the way for the future paths. It is important not to burn any bridges as you move through this passage way of life. You are quite capable of making the adjustments that are required and have the farsightedness to realize your potential.
If the planetary placements under this influence are water, it also signifies emotional balancing. If these positions are in earth, this influence will lean more on the occupational and progressive earthly incentives that you may have been pursuing. If the placements are in fire, it will be a great time to move forward in your objectives and push towards concrete results, as fire indicates action and the affirmative use of force. Watch for any aggressive behaviour or ego involvement. If these positions are in air, this influence would lean more towards intellectual curiosity and stability and would indicated an opening of the learning channels.

Commitment
This is another writing that I stumbled upon written around 1980. I have made some alterations, but very little. It was titled “The Commitment”.
Contentment requires complete dedication to the opening of channels to the one within. There is only one route to travel, and you must make a decision whether or not you are willing to take this route. It will, by no means, be an easy one, and it will take much will power to succeed. The task can, however, be accomplished as we are all capable, but first we must make this total and complete commitment.
This commitment requires much dedication and an earnest effort on your part. First you must take an honest look at yourself and accept what you see. The transformation cannot begin until you have done this.
Next you will need to take a look at yourself from a distance or visualize yourself how you wish you will be in the future. Realize that what you wish to become will be accomplished through baby steps and it will take time to get there. You are human and therefore, you will make mistakes along the way and maybe even have to start over at some point but it is important to keep trying. When you fall, get right back up again and never give up. If you follow these guidelines, you WILL reach your goal.
The greatest part of this commitment is that you must remain true to yourself. Set high standards for yourself. Do not be afraid to reach for the sky. The higher you aim, the greater the outcome.
The speed at which you move holds little importance. The importance lies in the realization that you are moving ahead. Understand that the very wish to attain this goal is pushing you in the right direction. As long as you have a goal in mind, you will progress.
Pay attention to your daily routine, and your reactions to events. What was your first thought that came to mind when reacting to an event? If the reaction is negative, look to the other side of the coin. As time passes and you begin to learn and understand this ability to pay attention and review the minds reactions, your outer circumstances and inner attitudes begin to change. This process will be slow at first, but as you familiarize yourself with this new way of reflecting on yourself, it becomes easier and easier, until finally no effort is required at all. You have now made this positive trait part of your personality.
As your internal views change, your external life changes for your beliefs mold your reality. You are in control; now take command, for your destiny is in your own hands.
In reviewing this writing from 33 years ago, it is obvious to me that our belief structures are in place at a relatively early stage of our personal evolution. We receive guidance continuously as we progress along our life’s path. Even at such an early stage of development, guidance is always available and accessible. The same spiritual teacher still resides within and the echoes of that time are still reflective in today’s development.

Saturn Trine Saturn
As we often look into Astrological aspects that involve Saturn (the task maker, the disciplinarian, the teacher and the one that rewards for tasks well done), we thought we would look into the transiting trine of Saturn to its natal position. As Saturn usually restricts and challenges us to do well and make the right decisions, the trine offers an opportunity to reinforce our view of who we are and how far we have come.
Saturn makes a trine to itself every nine to ten years of life and during these encounters, it offers us a stable understanding of where we are in life and what needs adjustment in the coming years. There is a sense of preparation that takes place during this time and depending on what age we are, these periods offer a time to lay down the foundation or base work for what has become important facets of our evolution. These are times when we are able to clearly see the ramifications of our actions, particularly the ones where we succeeded. We then can use these experiences as stepping stones for times to come.
These trines provide us with security and stability. They leave us in a position where we can utilize these strengths and take conscious control in the understanding of how our life’s objectives have performed until now. These new understandings are given birth through experience, through life’s teachings and cannot be taught in a classroom.
Our attitude and viewpoint of life reaches a point of balance and we have a new found understanding that provides us with information through past experiences that will guide us down the road. This is not a testing time, as are most other Saturn aspects. We may be familiar with how well our ideologies stood the test of time, but as yet we are not aware of how well they will stand the tests of the future.
As you pass through these trines of Saturn to Natal Saturn, it would be wise to examine your evolutionary progress, and with an open mind, make the necessary changes and improvements that will enhance growth in the upcoming years. Since Saturn’s influence is usually inflexible and somewhat fixated in its offerings, keep an open mind to new opportunities and chances for development. It is imperative to remain supple and adaptable within Saturn’s infamous confines.

MEDITATION AS A PRACTICE
In order to awaken to your full potential, there are two main components that must be followed and I use the word “must” because without following these guidelines, you may eventually reach higher learning but may not reach it to its fullest potential. By following these guidelines, you will stand a much better chance in obtaining a more desired outcome.
The first of these practices is to accept that there is a much greater force than self which impacts your “being”. This essential force, call it God or Godhead, if you will, or pure essence, or source, or basis, our genesis has an impact on our lives that cannot be found elsewhere. You have to give yourself over to this essence and let go. We must realize that this will accurately guide you in the intended direction. Letting go squashes the ego and all its imbalances which makes room for true guidance.
The second preparation that should be followed is meditation and you should practice meditation regularly at least once a day for as long as you can, without overextending yourself. You will know when each individual meditation is complete. Keep the flow going and open channels that otherwise may remain dormant or closed to future growth. Meditating on a regular basis will eventually awaken you to the essence and the knowledge that dwells within us all.
Do not worry about the mind’s interference. If you mind wonders just pull yourself back to your mantra and let go of the thoughts. As time passes, the interference becomes less frequent and eventually what you experience does not come from the mind’s -- it will come from our pure essence. This potential awakening is available to each and every one of us without exception. The door is never locked and all you need to do is decide to enter.
For those who do not have a mantra, you could use “God is love”. “God” on the in breath and “is love” on the out breath, or “Peace is with you” “peace” on the in breath and “is with you” on the out breath. You can discover your own mantra, one that resonates with you and has special meaning. Remember to stay steadfast to your meditation and if you should fall off, so be it; just pull yourself back and begin again. It takes time to make it part of your life, but over time you will feel incomplete without meditation.
Your practice can be as little as five minutes several times a day. You can meditate anytime and anywhere. You do not have to close your eyes, although it is best to do so. Find a comfortable position, relax your body from the toes up—actually feel the body relaxing. Take three or four deep breaths through your nose hold for a second and then release through your mouth. These deep breaths begin the relaxation process. It may take time to experience anything that you realize comes from your pure essence, but it will happen.
It’s best to stop looking and just experience. Do not give up. Stay consistent, steadfast and above all else, be true to yourself. Meditation will impact your life; guaranteed!

Our Work Environment
Are you climbing the corporate ladder of success? Are you on your way to achievement in this world? Have you made your mark? Have you ever questioned what significance can be found in the corporate world and whether or not this achievement has any real meaning beyond financial gain?
It is hard to say why we are so wrapped up in making a name for ourselves, or achieving that goal in life. There is nothing wrong with working towards an accomplishment. You just have to make sure that moving up that corporate or financial ladder does not take the place of being with family or experiencing tranquility and enjoyment. Unfortunately some people just cannot find the balance with these and they are caught in the middle unsure of what can be done to correct the imbalance.
Earning a living is important on a survival level in this life, as it is crucial to provide the essentials in life but there is also a sense of contentment for some people in securing a future for ourselves and our families.
Think of the time spent each day carried out our vocational responsibilities. Some are passionate about their jobs but unfortunately, others despise their jobs but carry on through necessity. Fortunately for some, the final outcome, our retirement, provides a time of comfort and the freedom to do that which they are more compassionate about doing.
Aside from the security and essentials a job provides, there has to be some type of significance to this process of working for such a large portion of our lives. Perhaps it is not so much the importance of attaining success or financial stability that matters. Perhaps the great importance is the interaction between people that matters. Everyone, without except, that we meet through our jobs (throughout any part of our lives for that matter) teaches us something of value just as we provide something of value to them. The nature of our work and the achievements along that path can help prepare us for our future, but what kind of influence do we have on those we encountered during our busy day? How are we affecting their lives and what is it that we talk about that has significance? Perhaps that little pat on the shoulder, a reminder that someone cares, or a few gentle supportive words are just as or maybe even much more important than our success.
Take a look at how you handle the people you are in contact with during your eventful day and watch their reaction to your interaction. Are you steering them in the right direction? Are you helping them overcome? Are you providing valuable information that can assist them in their journey? How deep do your communications run? Are there hidden meanings behind conversation that only the subconscious picks up? Are our acquaintances with us by chance? Is everything a coincidence?
Dig deep and uncover your potential. Infiltrate each and every life you come in contact with, with compassion and integrity. Work towards a better work environment where peace is generated and friendships are formed. “Feel” your way around and watch how you influence others. Your work place is important but not just to support you financially. Your attitude surrounding your work plays a significant role on how your day goes and your impact on those around you. Make your job work in favour of your growth, and find the real behind-the-scenes purpose of the common workplace.

Fixed T Square
A T-square is made up of at least three planets, usually at least two in opposition with one another and a third planet squares both these planets. The orbs or distance between the planets should be fairly tight, usually no more than five degree’s between the oppositions and about 2 degrees to the square. The tighter the angle between the planets in question, the stronger the influence in the Astrology chart. The planet that is square to both of the other two planets is the principal or focal planet. There are three types of T-squares, being the Cardinal, the Fixed and the Mutable T-squares. We will discuss the Fixed T-square today.
All T-squares induce a high degree of enthusiasm, motivation and a capacity to achieve. Some individuals that have this configuration in their Birth charts, place too much energy on the focal planet. This extreme focus in one area creates a tendency to produce a see-saw affect in which balance is needed to stop the individual from leaning too much in one direction. The focal planet involved as well as its house placement is indicative of where all the energy is focused. If this energy is used in a constructive fashion, the individual with this combination will become very successful. The T-square produces the greatest rate of achievement among major chart configurations.
The fixed T-square displays a high degree of strength, endurance and a strong will. These individuals have the ability to concentrate their energy in one direction with great determination and authority. They often use this energy in the formation of self-gratification and the fulfillment of their wants. There is a tendency for these individuals to take some time building up the energy required to move forward in the intended direction and then usually they release all this energy or drive outward in a forceful and dominant manner. It is like they gather information with great patience and then once they are assured internally of success, they will push forward aggressively in pursuit of their objective.
It is important that when pursuing their dreams and wishes that they use their energy constructively and create a foundation that can benefit all of those concerned. The overall project must reach beyond the needs of the self, as self-fulfillment eventually becomes shallow and does not hold its relevance for too long. Developing a sense of principles and ethics can prove to be one of the most beneficial outlets for all this energy and displacing it into useful avenues that service a greater cause will be most rewarding.

Communication
Many of us lead busy lives and spend much of our day tethered to our work, driving home to create the evening meal, completing tasks in our daily routine and then off to bed for another restful sleep. Many of us spend our evening after a meal, watching television or communicating with our acquaintances through Facebook or other social media. There are also those that spend countless hours playing interactive games via cell phones and the internet.
Take a moment and think about what is lacking in our day.
Communication on a one-to-one, face-to-face level is slowly being replaced by communication and interaction on our cell phones through the written word and other devices. We are so wrapped up in these communication devices, either playing games or texting that we have forgotten to be together as a family or to enjoy our friendships on a tangible level.
We are never alone as many of us can occupy one room but actual human interaction through emotion and physical contact on a platonic level is becoming a thing of the past. We are slowly loosing physical contact with one another in favour of electronic amusement or conversation. Our children are either watching television or gaming to occupy their time. If limits are not placed on these activities, these children are losing or never developing their social skills which are so necessary for both their physical and spiritual development. I recently read that there are direct links with the feelings of isolation, depression, distorted sense of reality, extreme or no sense of self worth, lack of social skills, etc. with the over use of technology with our children.
Are we losing our human nature from all of this technological contact? Are we losing out on interaction between friends and loved one and replacing this precious time with faceless interaction? I have personally experienced, as I am sure you have too, a group of people sitting together in a room and the majority of these people completely focused on their various communication devises to the point that they cannot carry on a conversation with those in the room. How can we, as a group, enjoy friendly conversation, interact and share our experiences?
Technology certainly has its place and if used correctly can enhance our quality of life. These tools are important for communicate with friends and family who cannot be with us. These tools are important learning tools with all its vast information as long as we take the information from reliable sources. These tools are great to fill time and unwind through social interaction or by playing games.
Use your technology but be sure that it is not at an exorbitant cost to you, your family and your friends. Share your life with those that are with you in body as well as with those that are on the other end of your communication devices. Ensure that your children develop all of the skills that they will need to enrich their lives. Nothing will ever replace a hug or kiss!
