JUDGEMENT

How many of us judge others and how they live?

Our view of others is tightly intertwined with our personal view of self and more often than not mirrors our own self image. 

On the flip side, we should not allow ourselves to be affects by others opinions and judgements.  Someone else’s opinion says much about them and little about you.  They recognize or exaggerate a specific quality in you and because of a lack of self-reflection, do not see this consciously within themselves.  Our subconscious is seldom fooled however.

We unfortunately can be blind to our own habits and reactions and it is helpful when others share their observations.  We just have to keep our ego under control.  Honest self reflection can help us recognize our “shortcomings” and with recognition comes solution.  Another good method to recognize characteristics within ourselves that we may be blind to is to pay attention to those things that bother us about others.  This can be an excellent personal monitor to assist in self reflection.

What others think is their issue.  Our own personal opinion of our self is truly important.  Because of this, make sure that you are seeing yourself clearly and not selling yourself short.

You do not have to please others, but you must be happy with who you are.  Take an honest look.  Do some self reflection.  Sometimes acknowledgment can be challenging but necessary.  Other times what we see can expand on our personal view of our expression in a very positive sense. 

It IS good to reflect and be sure to include all of the great qualities as well.  What we focus on expands.  Where does your focus lie? 

This also holds true for others.  When we look for fault in others, fault is all that we will see.  If we look for the greatness in others, than greatness we will see.  How can we judge unless we have walked in their shoes? 

Do not make career out of judging others.  You will never accomplish excellence.  Analysis on self and paying attention to our positive attributes ....these we can excel at.  Move away from negative reflection and allows contentment and happiness.

MINI FORECAST FOR SUN IN GEMINI - (PART II)

On May, 23, 2018, our post covered the square between transiting Neptune for those with the Sun in Gemini.  Today we will touch on the quincunx between transiting Pluto and the natal Sun in Gemini.  

Transiting Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn and will be around the 20 degree mark for all of 2018.  Transiting Pluto forms a quincunx or inconjunct to those with their Sun in Pisces in or close to the 20 degree mark.  The closer to this degree, the stronger the energies of this aspect will be.

The quincunx aspect always speaks of the requirement of an adjustments, and linked with Pluto, this aspect suggests that it is time for a deep evaluation and for an innate unfolding to transpire during the next several months (for those with this aspect strong in their charts).  Pluto’s energy wants transformation through searching within and then bringing to the surface what is revealed and making the necessary changes to what this applies to.

The house placement of transiting Pluto, the house placement of your natal Sun as well as the placement of natal Pluto will help reveal the areas of life involved.  Transiting Pluto will automatically attempt to transform through regeneration and honest reflection as soon as it enters a house.  The strongest period is when it sits on the cusp or beginning of the house and this applies to everyone whether or not they have this aspect activated within their chart.  (For those with Pluto in quincunx to the natal Sun, the strongest impact will be when it is exactly 150 degree apart).  

Pluto will spend many years in an Astrology house due to its slow movement and will transform what needs to be changed as it moves through this area of life.  Its changes are often irreversible and very significant.  Once the change has taken place, what once was is no longer.  It can be destructive and extremely impacting and in most conditions is not subtle once it makes itself known.  It is best not to fight the energies at hand and make the necessary changes that are being suggested.  The more you fight the change, the harder this experience will be.  Change is inevitable. 

The Sun deals with life’s direction, personal identity and goals and objectives.  This will be the time when profound changes take place with these focuses.  You will be pointed in a direction and a path will be put in front of you.  You will need to make changes and alterations along the way so the path becomes clearer or more understandable.  These interactions can be quite profound and impacting and the directional change is put in place because a change needs to take place.  

Again, do not fight the process and see it as it is.  The square to Neptune, if applicable, may interfere with vision and clarity as discussed on May 23, 2018.

There are many paths that this energy can take to unfold.

SELF EXPLORATION

Part of the awakening process deals with acknowledging qualities within and then bringing them to the surface so you can utilize or deal with them in whatever manner is appropriate.  Some of these realizations can be difficult and even painful, but an honest reflection is what is required.  Don’t let ego stand in the way of clear insight and do not identify personally with what is revealed.  You will examine these qualities and then decide what you want to do with them.  Identifying with them makes them yours. 

The process is to acknowledge what is revealed then set whatever it may be free.  These do not belong to you unless of course you choose to hang on to them.  It is quite apparent that even though these revelations can be challenging and it may feel as though we are slowing down the process, at least you are taking the steps to keep your journey moving in the right direction.  Many individuals will hold on to their revelations because they feel familiar and believe that these qualities are who they are.  It can be difficult to release something that has been with you and formed a part of who you think you are even if its ownership is counterproductive.

Hanging on to negative self-impressions only amplifies these qualities and give them life.  You always have a choice as to what you might want to do with them and it is often better to let them go than hang on to them if ego is involved. 

Ego feels threatened when it begins to lose control.  It is losing character traits that it identifies with and worries that it will be forgotten or even squashed as time passes.  As a result, it tried to hold on and its efforts can become quite intense.  Recognize ego for what it is and the challenges it can create.

Self-evaluation can be tricky if you don’t recognize ego’s intervention and you hold on to what used to be. 

Remember not to look outside for happiness or connection to your true, higher self.  These can only be found within and are available to everyone.

FULL MOON - MAY 29, 2018

We will be experiencing the Full Moon in Sagittarius at 8 degrees on May 29, 2018.  This moon is called the “Full Flower Moon”. 

The energies of any Full Moon speak of our harvesting of the seeds planted often some six months earlier when we experienced the New Moon in the same sign.  If we planted the seeds and nurture these seeds (goals) we should now be able to harvest the fruits of our labour.

Sagittarius often speaks of philosophical understandings, religious beliefs and spiritual undertakings.  On a more earthly level, it often speaks of travel, higher learning and an optimistic approach to what we set out to accomplish.  Our approach to educating ourselves, whether this be through travel, foreign culture, spiritual practices and mystical alignment, may now be brought to the surface and we can often gain insight into these matters.

Much will depend on the house the Full Moon is located in within your chart.  This will be the area of life presently being influenced by its energies.  If you have other planetary links within the framework of your natal chart close to the 8 degree mark which make major aspects to this positioning of the Moon, these planetary energies or angles will provide you with more information as to the types of experience you may encounter as you unravel the potential energies available.

When we look at the overall condition of this Full Moon (being at 8 degrees of Sagittarius), we see that it is making a trine to the transiting North Node.  The North Node speaks of life’s direction and the path we are to take and when conjoined with the Full Moon and in trine, the potential for finding our path or moving in the right direction is quite likely unless, of course, there are mitigating factors saying otherwise.  The North Node is the path we are meant to take and applying this transit in conjunction with other natal aspects will help you find your way and encourage you to follow your path.  The North Node is often a direction that feels new or untried so pushing forward may be a little unnerving, but with the influences at hand, this can be the time to forge ahead.  Just make sure you are not stepping on anyone else’s toes or hurting anyone while advancing to the next stage of your journey for this will be counterproductive in the larger scheme of things. 

At present there is also a Grand Water Trine involving Neptune, Venus and Jupiter offering emotional connectedness, psychic potential and emotional alignment. 

If this is a time for love in your life indicated by this Grand Trine especially with Venus involved, make sure you are seeing things clearly and not putting that person that is the focus of your affections on a pedestal and then expanding on what you think you are seeing.  This person may well be the perfect mate and the timing could also be highlighted but sometimes Neptune, although it is in positive aspect, may create fog around your perceptions.  Follow your intuition and psychic understanding and see where this takes you.  Often times Grand Water Trines can also speak of increased psychic awareness and intuitive understanding.

Let’s see what we can do with these energies and how far we have come with reaching our goals and following the path.  Make the best of the energies at hand and utilize  what you have.

SATURN RETURN IN ASTROLOGY

Since there is a large group of our readers that are between the ages of 24 to 35, we thought we would share our thoughts on the Saturn Return.  As some of you are aware, the natal or birth chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of birth.  From that moment on, the planets continue on their rotational path.   The planets when continuing on their path are referred to as transiting planets.  All of the planets eventually return to the exact placement that they were at when we were born, but the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) take a long time to complete their cycle.  Saturn takes between 27 to 29 years to complete its cycle.  Uranus takes 84 years and the other two take much longer and we do not live long enough to experience their returns.

Saturn (which will be discussed at a later date in greater detail) has a profound impact in our lives.  It produces situations that can be stressful (if we so allow) and presents us with lessons whenever it becomes activated in our charts.  Saturn is the teacher and it presents us with a crossroad (yes there is always a choice).  We are forces to take a good look at our lives and make any needed changes.  These times can be very trying if we fight the process and can last a significant period of time, especially if there are other planetary forces at work during the same period as the Saturn return.

We have touched a little on houses throughout many of our posts and depending on which house Saturn is located within in your birth chart and what aspects it is making to other planets, these particular areas of life (houses) will become activated.  The intensity and duration depends largely on the other planets that are stimulating the area and how long they transit and what aspects (aspects are angles between planets) they make to each other.

If you are going through a stressful period and you are between the ages of 27 and 29, you undoubtedly are experiencing your Saturn’s return. YOUR CREATIVE EXPRESSION

Creativity can be expressed in many varying ways, and these methods are significant to each individual.  Our goal should be to recognize our creativity and bring it to the forefront of our lives.  Our creative expression could be through writing, public speaking, spirituality, religion, mystical understanding, parenting, friendship, career, marketing, diversity, psychic ability, innate understanding, emotional interaction, healing, listening, fostering help, intuitive understanding, nursing, sports, music, painting, building, teaching, entertaining and the list goes on and on and on. 

There is no shortage of creative expressions in our world.  We just have to nurture the expression that we are comfortable using.

Believe in your abilities.  Do not ignore them or let them lay dormant.   Life skips along quickly.  Utilize the earthly gifts while they are available to you.  We are spiritual beings living an earthly existence.  This existence is temporary.  Do not waste this opportunity.

 

You have great potential.  Formulate a plan and follow through with it.

MINI FORECAST FOR GEMINI 2018

Now that we are in the sign of Gemini, we thought we would provide our Geminian followers with a mini forecast. 

Those with their Sun in Gemini will have transiting Neptune in square to this solar positioning.  Transiting Neptune will be in the 13 to 16 degree marks until the end of 2018.  An approaching orb of five degrees and a separating orb of 2 degrees will give those with their Sun within these parameters an energetic influence from the transit of Neptune.

It is necessary to always take into account other transits to the Sun and the houses of influence (transiting Neptune and the natal Sun as well as the natal positioning of Neptune).  These other factors will describe the areas of life involved.  Also have a look at the natal aspects between Neptune and the Sun as well as other natal aspects to the Sun as this will also give you a clearer understanding of how these energies might play out.

Transiting Neptune in square to the natal Sun can be difficult as a view of your objectives is often blurred under this influence, and you may feel unsure about your life’s direction.  Goals may be unclear or you may build them up and put them on a pedestal.  It is suggested that you present these goals to someone who will give an honest and definitive opinion before proceeding. 

The Sun, in Astrology, deals with life’s direction and goals.  It could relate to professional activity as well.  Make sure you are seeing things clearly before moving forward.  Neptune could also make you a little bit hesitant, especially so if Saturn is part of the equation.  Take this into consideration and you may understand why you are hesitant with moving forward.  However, do not let fear stand in the way of your progress.  Remind yourself of the ego’s potential interference and stay true to yourself.

Neptune can also relate to the mystical side of life.  Spirituality is strongly linked to Neptune and currently Neptune is in its natural sign of Pisces.  This can potentially open doors to the mystical side of understanding.  This square could make things a little rough even in this area, but pushing ahead with these objectives will allow access to the higher realms of understanding and inspiration.  There may be obstacles to overcome and hills to climb but persistence and a true belief in yourself is what is required.  Do not forget that although a square certainly indicates challenging condition, we can turn our squares around and make them into the same energies as trines if we believe that this is possible.  Belief structure and expectation play a significant role when it comes to this transit of Neptune to the Sun.

SUN IN GEMINI, MAY 20, 2018

The sun entered the sign of Gemini late Sunday evening (May 20, 2018) in the Toronto, Ontario area.

Gemini is a mutable, air sign.  Those with their Sun in Gemini are adaptable, changeable, versatile and intellectual.  They are great communicators and love stimulating the exchange of ideas and knowledge.  They enjoy change in its many forms, can easily become bored and can become moody when life is less than interesting. 

Those with Gemini strong in their natal charts are the conversationalists of the Zodiac and often have many acquaintances from many walks of life.

The house position of the Sun in the astrology chart will have an influence on how the energies of Gemini (and any other sign for that matter) will be transferred.  Those with their Sun in the ninth house could be considered philosophers and are often concerned with higher learning.  Those with their Sun in the second or tenth house are often career focused and can be stability seekers especially when it comes to finances and social status.  Those with their Sun in the seventh house and with Gemini on the seventh house cusp will be attracted to intellectual mates that they can carry on stimulating communication with.  Don’t forget each house takes on the flavour of the natural ruler of that house.  (Aries is the natural ruler of the first house, Taurus is the natural ruler of the second house and Gemini is the natural ruler of the third house and so forth).

Geminian individuals are considered friendly, cleaver and witty people.  They truly like most individuals and most people like them.  They make great teachers, are quite able when it comes to writing and communicating their ideas, love to share and display their intellect and make interesting and exciting companions.

Those people with their Sun sign in Gemini will have transiting Saturn and transiting Pluto in quincunx to their natal Sun if they are within orbs of influence. (Five degrees approaching and two degrees separating).  Currently Saturn is at 8 degrees and is in retrograde, while Pluto is at 21degrees and also in retrograde.  The quincunx aspect often implies that an adjustment is required.  So if you were to take the house position of the transiting planet as well as the natal house position of your Sun, you would have a pretty good idea of what areas of life would be involved and what adjustments might be required.  Remember to also have a look at the natal position of these transiting planets as this will provide you with more information as to how these energies are playing out in your life.

Any natal aspects between these transiting planets (for example, natal Sun square Saturn or natal Sun trine Pluto) will also show how these energies might unfold.  The natal aspect should always be part of the delineation.  The natal aspect often tells the story and adds energies to the unraveling of the transit’s aspects in the natal chart.  A natal Sun in Gemini in the second house and a transiting Saturn in the seventh house along with Pluto, for example, could be speaking in terms of security issues.  This could relate to financial issues or go deeper into internal issues but would be related to the marriage partner or a business associate.  If natal Saturn for example was in the fifth house and squaring the natal Sun in the second, this could be related to children within the marriage or creative enterprises linked to the marriage partnership.  The whole chart would have to be defined to get the full picture however.

Quincunxes at times have been linked to health concerns, although once again the whole picture needs to be examined carefully before making any conclusive statement.  This could involve children (5^th) friends (11^th) the husband or wife (7^th), and so on and if it is personal health concerns, you would have to look at the Sun and sixth and twelfth houses as well as the Ascendants overall condition in the natal chart and the transits to these positions.  Much can be discovered through a careful analysis of the horoscope and transiting planets (as well as progressions and the solar chart which helps define the upcoming year in advance).

This is why the local newspaper article or internet post seldom applies to most sun signs.  There are too many other factors at play to be that general.

SUN/MOON INTERACTIONS IN ASTROLOGY

The Sun and Moon aspects within the Astrological natal chart are important.  

On a parental level, the Sun represents our father or disciplinary parent while the Moon represents our mother or nurturing parent.  Our parents are also linked to the MC and IC.  In some cases, the sign and house positions of these luminaries will define our parents.  

When transits and progressions involve our luminaries, they often speak of our parents.  Our parents certainly are not the only focus for these luminaries as the Sun and Moon can also speak of our emotions (Moon) and our identity (Sun), among other things.  

The aspects in our natal chart between the luminaries often depict the relationship between our parents and because of this also define the messages we received and internalized concerning our own part in this life (as man or woman) and our thinking of the opposite sex.

We would like to point out some important roles linked to the Sun and Moon.  

The Sun as mentioned identifies our father and also the role that men or the more dominant individuals play in our lives.  This can be an authority figure although in most cases the authority figure is represented by the planet Saturn.  The Moon on the other hand as mentioned is indicative of our mother or the role women or the nurturers play in our lives.

The Sun has to do with ego and is the ruler of the sign Leo, in which ego plays a significant role.  The Moon, rules by Cancer, has to do with emotions and instincts.  

If you were to identify the Sun you would find the motto to be “I am” and link it to self-assuredness, self-sufficiency, the urge for control of our destiny, our objectives and our goals.  

The Moon has a direct connection to our emotional makeup and what we feel and know instinctively (thinking is related to the planet Mercury).  The Moon is sometimes linked to intuition although the Moon’s placement by sign has a huge influence on this.  The Moon has to do with our emotional security, our moodiness and reaction to outside influence as well as our internal dialogue.  It also relates to our ability to moderate ourselves within our environment and our connection to others.  

The Sun, on the other hand, along with Mars is powerfully connected to our drive in life.  The Moon describes how we go about satisfying our emotional needs.  The Moon is our emotional connection to our world, while the Sun is our urge to satisfy our desire to succeed.

When deciphering the aspects between the Moon and our Sun placement, as with all aspects, the closer the aspect is to being direct the more important it becomes in the Astrology chart.  It is also important to recognize that applying aspects (moving towards each other) are more relevant than separating aspects (moving apart).  If, for example, the Sun and Moon are in conjunction and they are in the sign Libra and the Sun is at 7 degrees Libra while the Moon is at 10 degrees Libra this is a separating aspect.  If things were the other way around, so the Moon was at 7 degrees and the Sun was at 10 degree then this would be an applying aspect.  The faster moving planet moving towards the slower moving planet is called an applying aspect while if the faster moving planet is moving away from the slower moving planet this is called a separating aspect.

FOREVER YOUNG & ALWAYS LEARNING

In our physical world, we can exercise, eat properly, have regular medical checkups and in general look after ourselves, but will these practices keep us young? 

Is being young a state of the body or is it a state of mind? 

I am sure you have experienced a very child who is obviously a very old soul.  These children are much too wise for their years.  Is this an example of being old?  Does knowledge and an ingrained knowing indicate age? 

Most young children play and enjoy their lives.  They live completely in the moment.  They have few cares but when they have one, they can become obsessed with their issue within that moment.  However as soon as they move away from an issue by altering their focus, the issue is often gone forever or holds little relevance.  Is this considered being young or a youthful thing to do, or is this practice one we can all enjoy?

Staying forever young, certainly in part, deals with living in the moment.  Children enjoy the moment and live within it.  They experience fully the details of their focus.  We, as adults, tend to live in our minds and think in terms of what will be or what has already been.  Rarely are many adults content with living in the now.  Staying forever young, in part, deals with attitude especially if we stay open and allow. 

Do we suddenly stop learning because we are old? 

Does life no longer provide us with any new lessons and do we really have all the information and all the answers?  I think not.  We are never too old to learn.

If we want to stay young, we certainly have to allow ourselves to have fun, stay open and continue learning.  We can never believe that there is nothing left for if we do than we are old. 

Even the most advanced souls, or should I say especially the most advanced souls, know that the journey of knowledge is just beginning.  The further along we venture, the more we realize how little we know.  This does not indicate ignorance, it indicates maturity.

Stay young by attending this moment’s school of life.  Pay heed to your focus.  Watch and learn from the young.  They have so much to teach.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE IN ASPECT TO MERCURY

It is important when delineate an aspect between transiting Neptune to Mercury to take a close look at how Mercury is aspected in the birth chart.  The natal aspect can either soften the transit or challenge it, regardless of what the current transiting aspect might be.

For example, if Mercury is trine to Jupiter, sextile to the Sun and conjunct Venus in the birth chart, any transiting aspect would not be very challenging.  If, however, Mercury is square to Saturn, in opposition to Uranus and also square Neptune, this would cause great stress when activated through transit or progression regardless of the transit aspect.  Any aspect to Mercury in the birth chart will also be activated during this transit, especially so if in close aspect by degree of separation in the birth chart.

It is also necessary to look at the house Neptune is currently transiting as well as its placement in the birth chart, as this will help define what area of life is being affected.

With this information at hand, a conjunction between Mercury and transiting Neptune can be quite difficult to handle.  As Mercury rules the mind and thinking process, analytical abilities can be misunderstood or unclear.  You can be “way off” in your assessment of a situation and restructuring of your life is not recommended until this transit is over.  Decision making can be clouded and if connected to business, you may not be getting the proper information or someone could be deceiving you.  Others may also have trouble making sense of what you might be trying to convey as well.

On the positive side of this aspect, the mind is now open to the subtle influences of mystical and inspirational messages from beyond.  You could experience amazing clarity in vision as your mind is more open to such things.  Your intuitive faculties are highlighted and although you might have found something very significant (unless others are in the same vibrational frequency and open to mystical events), you might want to keep this information to yourself as they may simply not be ready to hear what you now understand.

The energy of the square between these two planets is similar to when the thinking process is off or vague.  Your mental focus will be off, and what you think may be way off as well.  It is wise not to make any important decisions during this period as mistakes can have profound effects.  You most likely are not seeing things clearly and it is easy to misjudge important matters.  Communication with others has its challenges as well and misinformation can be taken as truth and disillusion could be the result.

You may also find that you worry about outcomes during this time or feel confused or even depressed.  It is important to recognize that this is as a result of the influence of Neptunian energies and the tests that you are experiencing will eventually lead to clarity and understanding.

The opposition aspect is often related to misinformation or lost communication with others.  Other people are usually involved in the equation.  This could involve partnership, family, friends, acquaintances and even co-workers.  There seems to be misunderstanding, and you may have quite the time getting things in proper perspective.  It is usually about communication or false information and it may lead to actions that are not suggested.  You may jump to conclusions or mistrust others.  Knowing that this is a possibility is a wonderful tool.

The trine and sextile aspects can be very inspirational and offer potential insight into the workings of the subconscious.  You may find answers to questions you have been searching for, for quite some time.  You may come to understanding the hidden universal language spoken only by a few.  This can be an awakening time and is very noteworthy as you can easily recognize the difference between illusion and creative thinking.  Dreams could also be inspirational and you could use these tools for writing a book or to going deeper into meditation.  You could also share this information with like-minded individuals.

This can be quite the magical time and an open mind is suggested so that the information can come through.

CLINGING TO YESTERDAY

There are many people who can get caught up in the past and what once was.  They spend countless hours reminiscing and they wish they could go back to that time.  They think of those times as the good old days.

If we think about it, today will be the good old days in twenty years from now?  Rather than looking back at what once was, why would we not take a much closer look at what is, right now.  Look closely at what is right in front of us, in this very moment and pay particular attention to what feels “good”. 

We can be so accustomed to complaining about what we do not like or do not have that we ignore those things that we should be grateful for.

Time waits for no one and if we spend our lives living in the past or wishing we were there, we miss out on the eternal moment and the magnificence of what is happening now.  The moment is all we have and our attention to this is paramount.

Do not spend another moment longing for what was.  Do not waste your time worrying about what might come in the future for what we worry about seldom comes to fruition.  If you hold on to yesterday, you halt what potential that lies in today.  You cannot move forward without letting go of the past.  The past can include people, memories, wishes, dreams and ways of life ...anything that you tend to cling on to.

Live in today.  Experience your life by living it.  Do not waste time on yesterday.  Believe that you are entitled to be happy but remember that happiness can only be found in the present moment. 

Believe in the potential for happiness.  This potential lies within your focus on all that is and this will serve you well.  If life feels difficult, what is the lesson to be learned?  Once you are able to figure out the lesson, you can then acknowledge it and let it go.

Enjoy the moments that you have.  Share them with those that matter.
