Security

Within there is an internal networking where we can go too to find security.  There are many individuals that believe they can find a measure of security from external sources.  Many believe that security is found in success and with the rewards success can supply.  Financial rewards are often the offspring of material advancement and many people hold such great significance on these achievements. 

There are those that judge others according to the name they have made for themselves or the position gained in their life’s profession.  People are gauged by what they own and by the clothes hanging in their closet.  Is this recognition not superficial?  There are those that are impressed by intellect and the ability to express one’s self.  They measure life solely by the schooling or training received.

Material security can supply us with less “survival” worries but although these acquired material goods for some bring a sense of achievement, this sense is usually quite short lived.  That brand new vehicle may be a joy to tour in and the new home may be a source of pride, but the car is only new for so long and ultimately it gets you from point A to point B.  The house truly is only a place to protect you and keep you warm. 

What is actually needed to accomplish security?  At some point, material rewards become pleasures of the past and no longer hold the relevance and enjoyment they originally did.

There is a sense of self worth that comes from achievement.  Perhaps even more relevant is the time taken and the work completed to reach this culmination point.  Does this not build confidence?  True security comes from within and cannot be established through material rewards or even hard work and its achievements.  

The greatest rewards come from working on self and being aware of the advancement taking place on an internal level.  Spiritual achievement is not something that is achieved by balancing the books on your finances, but through balancing the books of your life.  Living your life according to the standards you wish to attain within the framework of that which you truly are holds a more rewarding outcome.  Security comes from knowing that you are pursuing the right path.  You obtain a feeling for what is right for you as life progresses and living within these guidelines requires effort and the knowledge that the individual you are striving to bring to the surface actually resides within.

Security cannot be measured, but it slowly develops with each step you take to bringing yourself closer to your true essence – our source.  Our true essence is composed of compassion, happiness, trust and above all else love.  You just need to understand that the door to your heart, to love, is always open; and as you progress in your spiritual development, security is a by-product that matures without any application on your part.  It just happens.
