OWN IT

Whatever you might be doing right now in your life, own it. Regardless of how it might look to you at this point, on some level it is supposed to be.

 

If this is a good experience, wrap your arms around it.  If this is a stressful experience, embrace the lesson as it is an educational experience.  The faster you learn the lesson, the faster you can move beyond it.  This too will pass.

 

I truly believe there are no co-incidences in life. There is something valuable behind everything in life, sometimes we recognize it and sometimes the value is hard to see. If you can’t find the “why” behind what is taking hold life, let it go. It will be revealed eventually.

 

Taking responsibility and making it your own are two completely different energies.  Sometimes life happens and the events are out of our control. We are not to hold the responsibility. Learn the lesson and move on. Do not own it. If we hold on to challenges in life, or take up residence in these challenges, we create an experience where we only see challenges and we are held captive.

 

We are at the mercy of some life experiences, and we cannot alleviate these lessons. We can, however, at them as lessons and change our attitude towards the experience.

 

Explore life below the surface. What lies there?

 

If we look at our experiences from a different vantage point (not as a victim) , we can find answers. There is a time for everything in life. Whatever is happening right now, own it just for the moment so you can learn from it and then move on. Life is to be lived!

SELF-SUFFICIENCY

When is it appropriate to step aside and stop providing guidance and assistance for those that are in need? 

 

What energies or resources should we put forward to aid those that have been living under harsh conditions on some level or another?

 

Assistance is essential at times, but we should teach life skills to others so that they can move forward with pride and self-reliance.  Give help when help is required in the moment and just as importantly, we should help others to help themselves.  We can provide guidance or assistance but at some point, it is important to back off when those who have needed our help are ready to move ahead without our assistance, so they can experience self-reliance.

 

Challenging conditions are lessons teaching us how to build strength and endurance.  These lessons are part of life’s journey and in turn, when the lessons have been learned, we gain strength and knowledge.

 

Know when to help, and when to bow out and let others move forward on their own.  The old saying goes “Feed someone a fish and they are fed for the day; teach someone to fish and they are fed for a lifetime”. Self-sufficiency is empowering.
