SUN IN LIBRA SEPTEMBER 22/2025

On September 22, 2025, the Sun moves from Virgo, a Mutable, Earth sign into Libra, a Cardinal, Air sign.  (As a side note, there are three modalities in Astrology: Cardinal, Mutable and Fixed. They represent action and addressing situations with a degree of confidence and the potential of success because of the actions we have or have not taken.) 

 

Sun in Libra is concerned with honesty and fairness and can be quite diplomatic while attempting to address situations.  They look for balance and harmony especially when it comes to important relationships, primarily the marriage partner, although this stretches out into other relationships as well.  (The other Cardinal signs: Aries Cancer and Capricorn, may or may not incorporate some of these qualities.  Each Cardinal Sign has its own characteristics, but all maintain action and a degree of confidence in their objectives.)

 

Libra seeks peace at almost any cost and has been known to sit on the fence to find a resolution to any conflict situation.  They do not like to argue but will speak their mind especially when defending or protecting others.  Many Librans will stand up for the underdog.  Their objectives in life are to have justice, and they would make excellent mediators, judges, and conflict revolutionaries.  They see all sides of situations and will work tirelessly to find solutions to problems affecting others.

 

Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and affection.  Partnership is important to the typical Libran and many feel whole only after they find a suitable mate.  They can be picky, and most Libra individuals are attractive, like to look after their physique, are appealing and can be quite cordial.  Many love what is referred to as the nicer things in life, like a home with furnishings that suggest affluence, a nice comfortable vehicle and the feeling of not doing without.

FORECAST FOR SUN IN LEO, 2025

Today, we will look at some of the influences on Sun in Leo for the next year.

 

From late March, 2025 to late October (with a brief visit retrograded back into Pisces from October 22, 2025 to January 26, 2026), transiting Neptune will be in the sign of Aries. Neptune will make a Trine for those with their Sun sign in the early degrees of Leo.  You can give an orb of about 5° to feel the energies of this aspect in your birth chart and into your life’s experience.  The houses where the Sun and Neptune are located in your chart will play a significant role in what is unfolding over time.

 

For those that are connected to the spiritual realm, the influence of Neptune with your Sun can play a big part in your development over this period. Neptune moves slowly and will be in force for about 2 years creating an easier flow for those who wish to become more engaged in their spiritual journey.  Meditation and sleep/dream programming might assist greatly during this period. 

 

Saturn will also conjunct Neptune (strong from May 2025 to early September 2025, and then again from February, 2026 to early April, 2026), adding its influence of energy by making a trine to this configuration.  Saturn provides a reality check. Its energy will push you to make sure that what you are experiencing is real and not just imagined.  These two powerful planetary energies will work together, although they are quite different in their nature, as long as they are not challenged by the rest of the natal chart configurations.  During this aspect, it can be referred to as a testing period where the mystic takes on the practical applications of Saturn pushing for validity and confirmation of what unfolds for those involved.

 

Both planets are making favorable aspects to the placement of the Sun for those under this influence. Trines usually point towards easier flow, opportunities and general promising conditions, although Saturn will, as mentioned, test things.  Saturn would like you to ask yourself, “What can help in the transfer/learning of information?” and “How can I be sure that what I am receiving/learning is fact”.  These are perfect examples of questions that will need to be answered through careful reflection.

 

Pluto during the upcoming year and well into 2027 will be in the sign of Aquarius in the early degrees. During this time frame, transformations and potential regeneration take place in the lives of those that are touched by its influence.  Pluto in Aquarius creates an opposition for those with their Sun sign in Leo in the early degrees as well.  The sextile suggests opportunities to make changes, and to move into a new self-exploration phase.  You may find that you are making a shift, of significance, that will take time to unfold. 

 

There are, of course, other areas of focus during this timeframe, but we have focused on the spiritual side of our evolutionary journey. 

 

The forecast for Sun in Leo, 2025, suggest development and change. The houses involved indicate the areas of life that are influenced.  Use these powerful energies at hand to further your understanding of your purpose. You are so much more than what is seen on the surface.

SUN IN LEO

On July 22, 2025, the Sun moves from Cancer, a Cardinal, Water sign, into Leo a Fixed, Fire sign.  The energies shift from an emotionally sensitive sign which is nurturing in nature and quite receptive to the influences of its surroundings, to the strong, assertive, robust sign of Leo, the energies of which are associated to assistance for the betterment of whomever it deems is responsive. 

 

Leo individuals generally are generous, kind and considerate and considered bold in their actions.  They are energetic and action oriented.  They are leaders rather than followers and prefer to take a leading role when it comes to almost anything from organization to guidance.  They usually have a good sense of humor and are quite playful by nature.  They love adventure and excitement and enjoy the gamble in life. They are willing to try almost anything once.

 

Leo looks for appreciation, in some sense, for whatever they do for others.  They likes recognition and work diligently addressing the needs of those around them to aid them especially when in challenging situations.  Leonians are a helping hand in times of stress but also assisting anyone and this always comes from the heart.  Leo individuals feel they know what the best approach is for others when it comes to helping them.  This can create an issue as, although their intensions are good, not everyone wants their advice or assistance.

 

These individuals do not like being let down or disappointed.  Some may hold on to resentment over situations where they feel they have been wronged or not appreciated.  The Leo egos can be quite strong. They need a pat on the back and approval for their efforts, but they truly want to help. 

 

Leonians are charming and likable and quite confident in their abilities.  They don’t hide behind their achievements and know that they can help others achieve them as well.  Their confidence is contagious.

 

As a sidenote, it is important to take into consideration whether the Leo birth date is on the cusp of either Cancer or Virgo as the Sun takes up an orb of 16°.  This will influence the nature and characteristics of the sign of Leo, as a cusping birth date will take on some of the energy of either sign depending on when the date of birth is.  Also, the house where the Sun falls in the natal chart will take on the natural ruler of the house and add to the influence of the Sun sign.  This holds true for any Sun Sign. For example, with Sun in Leo (1°) in the second house, Cancer tendencies would be detected with this individual as well as Taurus energies and tendencies as well (because of the second house influence).

SUN IN CANCER

On June 21, 2025, the Sun moves from the mutable air sign of Gemini, into the cardinal water sign of Cancer.  There is a vast difference between the sign Gemini and the sign Cancer.  Those born on the cusp of Cancer and Gemini will also have some tendencies related to the sign Gemini.  Some Astrologers give an orb of 16° for the Sun. For example, anyone born with a 3° Sun in Cancer will also have the influence of Gemini. There would be an 11° influence of Cancer and a 5° influence of Gemini in this example. 

 

A further example, if someone was born with their Sun in the 27° Cancer, they would also have a 5° influence from Leo.  This Astrologer also gives a small orb of influence for the rising sign, but only about 1 to 1 ½° of an orb of influence.

 

Looking at Cancer without cusping influences, those individual with their Sun in the Sign of Cancer are highly emotional, although they tend to try to keep their emotional nature under their protective shell. They may try to avoid stressing emotional interaction as it can be detrimental to their well-being. 

 

Cancerians are proud of their heritage, have a strong need to take care of others and family comes first. 

 

Cancer individuals instinctively feel vibrational energy around them and pick up on other people’s emotions and can be influenced by these energies.  This suggests a degree of intuitiveness and a clairvoyance ability for those that decide to allow these abilities.  Sensitivity and intuition run hand in hand and can open the door to the psychic realm.

 

In some cases, a Sun in Cancer individual may allow others to “walk on them” to a degree at times, but they will not let someone do this to those they love or care for. Cancer is highly attuned to the needs of their family and this can extend to the family of friends. 

 

In general, Cancerians are kindhearted, welcoming, sensitive and genuinely caring individuals.  They need to surround themselves with similar type people to feel safe and comfortable in their surroundings.  The home environment must have a tranquil atmosphere as they need a place to recharge their emotional batteries. 

 

Many Cancer individuals enjoy tradition, and some are not comfortable with change.  They like surroundings that they are accustomed to, most enjoy nature, but also enjoy comfort.  This is not to say that their surroundings must be plush or expensive, but just that they need to be comfortable, whatever that may mean to the Sun in Cancer individual.

 

Many Cancerians have great memories, and some cling to the past.  Letting go of challenging situations that cause physical or emotional hurt in some way may be difficult for a typical Cancerian.  They have trouble forgetting injustice or hurtful dialogue.  They feel everything deeply, and they are very receptive. As a result, they need people that are gentle, caring, sensitive but strong around them.  This does not suggest that Cancer individuals are weak as they defend the underdog and family with vigor.
