It is imperative that we do what we can to keep our bodies and mind in a healthy state. Having regular checkups, exercising, eating well and paying attention to our thoughts or focus are all factors in how well we maintain our health.
Our number one priority would be our self-awareness, whether this relates to listening to our bodies, how we think about ourselves, how we relate to issues in life or react, or if we focus on negative health concerns whether these health concerns are based on symptoms or imagination.
Age should
not create worry or concern even though we do tend to slow down a little as we
age. We must look after ourselves no matter what our age. The earlier we begin a healthy lifestyle, the
healthier we will be as we age. The habits we form throughout our lives determine
our attitude, focus and wellness.
If and when
we do encounter health issues at some point in time, this is when we must
adjust our thinking in such a way that we can challenge the issue. Cancer, for example, is far too common but those
that remain positive about their outcome have been noted to have a greater
chance of full recovery.
Our
attitude about life has a great impact on not only our mental health, but over
time is reflected in physical health depending on how long and to what degree
we choose to allow negative thoughts to permeate our day-to-day living. Our mental approach to what happens in life
is key to not only being healthier but also to being content with our
lives.
This is not
to say that we should stifle ambitions or become complacent. It means that our
very thinking process affects our everyday lives both today and in the long run.
We have a
greater chance of meeting and overcoming any challenging life situation with a
positive attitude and learning where to focus our attention.
Death is a
guarantee in life and maybe we can change our attitude towards this transition
as well. Our passing does not have to be
a negative experience if we can change our attitude towards it. It is
inevitable. We would not be leaving our physical body and moving on from this
life’s journey unless we were ready to do so.
We have completed our course and fulfilled our objectives even if we do
not understand what these were. We will graduate and at that point are ready to
move to the next level of awakening. It’s just a new chapter.
In the
meantime, be thoughtful of your health and wellness to make the best of this
current journey. Fill your life with love, contentment and appreciation through
your attitude. Our focus dictates the experience.
