Lunar Nodes

The Lunar Nodes are considered one of the most influential forces in the horoscope.  They are considered “powers” that lie beneath the surface that link together spiritual intervention and human evolution.  Together the nodes, (north and south) signify karmic involvement.  These nodes are always opposite one another or in opposition (180 degrees apart) and never vary.

The north node deals with our earthly mission and represents, in part, what we have entered this incarnation to manifest.  The north node is completely new to us and we may feel somewhat uncomfortable with our mission, as we are entering into unknown territory.

The south node is representative of the previous incarnation and signifies what we have brought with us into this life that can be used to assist the development of the north node’s potential.

These nodes are of the highest regard when it comes to spiritual and karmic implications.  They do not move at predictable speeds and move in a clockwise direction or retrograde motion.  They take approximately one and one-half years to move through a sign and assist in checking the timing of events in progression.

Our earthly goal is to move in the direction of our north node, as it is our life’s mission.  Identifying with the south node, or falling back into the comfort zone that the south node provides, will not motivate you in your intended direction, although some of the attributes that you have brought with you can assist you.  These attributes should be used to push you forward not lull you into stagnation.

Current events in your life obviously have implications today but are also connected to your past.  The two are interlinked and work together.  Many find it difficult moving towards that which their north node represents but the higher forces will provide you with opportunities that will push you in your intended direction.  Your mission is to activate this calling and move toward your north node.

These two nodes are located within specific houses in your Astrology chart, always opposite one another as mentioned.  They are also defined by the Astrological sign that they are located in.  The sign and house placement of each node further define your mission and your past incarnation and the why behind your existence.  The nodes are suggestive of interconnecting points where karma is connected from a past life and into the present one.  Karma is the soul’s interaction with the current incarnation and insists that one fulfills the obligations agreed upon when entering this life time.  These responsibilities when earnestly pursued will open the channels to spiritual growth, and expansive understanding.

Clarify your calling and understand what the influences are that push you towards you intended direction through the position of you nodes in your Natal chart.  The nodes along with your Sun sign and Ascendant are guiding factors that reveal the soul’s interaction and what we have come into this life to accomplish.  When you align these three factors, you can have a clear picture of your purpose.

Who Are You?

Tonight, when you go to bed and express your “thanks” in your own personal, special way, take a moment afterwards to reflect on your life.  View it from the earliest days that you can recall.  Reflect on the innocence and carefree attitude you had as a child, if you can find these memories.  Stop for a moment and make the connection between who you are now and the little one you were so many years ago.  Think of the time that has passed and reflect on whatever memories come back to your consciousness.  Recognize that these are all memories of your life events, events that have brought you to this present moment in time.

Each event is a life’s growth experience and these events remembered, along with countless others forgotten, are what have created the current you.  These events shaped and transfigured the personality you call “you”.  That little innocent child is still mirrored in your present personality and resonates in your core identity.  Do not forget where you have come from and understand how past events have molded you into who you are now.

Each event was meant to be and was a requirement in the developing story of you.  Nothing was by chance, regardless of how traumatic or tranquil the experience.  They had to take place.  No mistakes. Nothing was to be left unsaid and if you look deep, you will come to terms with the “why” behind these experiences.  They were all necessary to provide you with guidance and to accelerating your growth.

Take a moment and reflect on who you have become.  Be completely honest, as it is impossible to fool yourself.  Recognize the individual.  Accept who you have become.  What are your attributes? Be honest and totally open.  Do not let the ego colour these reflections, as it will try to influence these impressions.  Look only at the positive characteristics in your psychological makeup and again reflect.  Know that this is you.  Do not just pass this part by.  Recognize this individual.  This is who you are.  These qualities are the true essence of your personality and you deserve these virtues.  You worked hard through your life to attain them.

You are meant to view your character traits and your personality with this intent.  You are meant to identify with this persona and take it all in as your own.  You are your best qualities, no matter how few, no matter how many.  If you are unimpressed with what you see, you are undoubted looking at what you are not.  You should be looking at what you are.

By reflecting on your true essence, you open the channel for continued growth in life, and you will uncover more of who you are.  There are hidden aspects of your true essence that are waiting to be released, but you have to be willing to open that door.  By recognizing your true essence, you are allowing your core personality to expand into your consciousness.  This core is always awake and ready to reveal itself to you and to reawaken you to its full potential.  You are all these pleasing qualities and more.  Accept this.  The true you is ever-present and continuously expanding and revealing itself to you.  It awaits your acceptance so it can divulge more.

After the Holiday Season

You are a spirit of love.  When you look carefully at your intentions, especially during this wonderful time of the year, you will know that these feelings are simply a part of your whole makeup (which may, every once in a while, need to be regenerated as we get caught up in everyday events).  It sometimes takes a festive event to remind us of that “natural” feeling of giving and loving.  By sharing love and compassion with our fellow human beings, we spread these blessing and promote more of the same.  It is very difficult to move in an alternate emotional direction when someone shares their loving energy towards you.  Love is a powerful force and can change the course of life for anyone open to its influence.

Keep the feeling of this festive season alive even after the celebrations have come to a close.  Allow the love that resides within each and every one of us to flow, without exception.  We may fall off route from time to time but love when encompassed will simply guide you back on track once again.  Love is our saviour and companion.  It is always available, but you have to recognize it and be open to this.  Open your heart to love and mold your life based on this emotion.

MERCURY IN CAPRICORN

Mercury is strongly affected by sign and house position, but affected even more by any planet making an aspect to it.  It takes on many characteristics of other planets and is associated with the way we communicate, our thinking and ability to learn and our mental reaction to life’s events.

We will be discussing Mercury in Capricorn in this post.  If you have strong placements in Capricorn, such as the Sun, there are some tendencies that will also be reflective with the placement of Mercury in Capricorn.  Mercury is the planet of the mind and when in the sign of Capricorn the mental process is unhurried and very conclusive.  These individuals would never just jump to conclusions.  They would have to weigh things out and decipher the meaning, and then after careful consideration come to a viable conclusion.

Often the first reaction is somewhat skeptical, as time is required for reasoning things out.  They will not take anything at face value.  The proven and tested path feels much safer and taking a chance is not a good approach as there is potential for failure.  The processing of information is also very thorough and if there is too much information to process, it is easy for frustration to set in.  One step at a time could easily be their motto.

People with Mercury strongly placed in Capricorn are usually very industrious and yield concrete and practical results.  Their judgement is usually crystal clear, unless Mercury is poorly aspected by other planets in the Natal chart.  Their strict attention to making things the best they can be will produce noticeable effects.

When presented with a new idea, they will take time to digest this new concept.  As mentioned earlier, new ideas are viewed with some skepticism and they will not just accept them at face value.  These individuals will put the ideas through vigorous scrutiny and then come to their own conclusions.

When communicating, Mercury in Capricorn people often have difficulties expressing themselves, although when they are communicating, they will be very precise and to the point.  Most would be considered introspective, and not verbally aggressive, unless Mars afflicts Mercury in the Birth chart.  Most people with this placement are very deep and would not be considered a frivolous communicator.  Small talk is not their forte, nor is gossip.  They will choose their words carefully and articulate with precision, and in many circumstances are direct in their statements.  They want to be clearly understood and also want others to be as clear as possible.  When communicating with this individual staying on course without jumping from one topic to another.

Mercury in Capricorn individuals are methodical and practical in the workplace and many gradually rise to positions of authority.  They can be great leaders, but most are poor followers.  Others can learn from their precise application and their knowhow, as nothing from these individuals comes without study and experience.

Christmas Without Family but Never Alone

With Christmas at our doorstep, we thought we would reflect on those individuals without family or those who have family that they cannot join.  Unfortunately, there are many people that are alone and we wanted to let them know, that although they may feel alone, if they stop for a moment and take in the true spirit of Christmas, they will realize that they are never alone in spirit.

Some are without loved ones through death, distance or separation, and Christmas can be an extremely difficult time.  We want to spread joy and hope to everyone and to let them know that they are never truly alone.  The spirit of the loved ones departed is always present in your life and especially during these times.  Open your heart to the energy of those who have passed on and know that their love and spirit is always with you.

Your loved ones feel your agony and despair and know your silent suffering.  This knowing is however on a different level, and we cannot experience them the way that we may wish to.  Know that they are still around you and their eternal hand is on your shoulder letting you know that things are alright.

For those that are separated through distance or through family difficulties, this too can be an especially trying time.  Memories of how things used to be can be especially hard.

Life continually has new chapters that in their early stages can be difficult to digest.  Know that just around the next corner, a new beginning awaits you and your new life will begin.  All stages in life are temporary and should be viewed this way.  Never give up and know that life will always provide you with what you need, especially when you feel that you are at the end of the road.

Someone or something will come along at the least expected moment and assist you in moving beyond these temporary hurdles.  Be patient and never let go of hope.  There are times that we have to go to great depths of despair to be able to acknowledge and appreciate all that life offers just beyond the next doorway.

Plan to do something this Christmas special for you, be it a meal at a restaurant, going to a movie, or attending a Christmas service so that you are interacting with others.  There IS a feeling of love and happiness that is prevalent during this festive season (if you look beyond the stress, hustle and bustle that people place upon themselves).  There is always someone out there that cares and loves you whether you are aware of it or not.

If you are alone, undoubtedly there are others within your life’s circle that are also alone.  Could you host a celebration and invite others?  It WILL take effort but realize the benefits of helping yourself through helping others.

If you are hosting a family celebration and know someone that will be on their own, would it not be wonderful to share your celebrations with them?

Invite others in or ask if you can be part of other’s experiences, depending on your circumstances.  Is this not the true spirit of Christmas?

We walk our road of life alone as each and every one of us has a different course to take.  This does not mean that we have to BE alone.  Along the way there is always someone that is willing to share.  Open your heart to giving or open your heart to the knowledge that others care.

To those that celebrate Christmas and to those that do not, may this holiday season be filled with special peace and wonder.  May the love and compassion that is generated through the act of giving engulf you.

Our warmest wishes for a joyful and loving experience and may you know that you are never alone.  There are always “guides” along the road that provide the needed strength to get through anything, anytime.  Be strong and find the spirit of love and giving and have a wonderfully magical experience.

Love Yourself

Have you taken the time lately to be appreciative of whom you are?  Take a moment and reflect on the divine personality that radiates from within and then accept your connection.  The one within is reflective of the whole self--complete within itself needing nothing more, nothing less.  This is your linkage with the foundation that connects us with the infinite.

All love radiates from within.  We are a reflection of that love.  Love connects all things with harmony and compassion and is the reason for our existence.  By connecting ourselves with that eternal enlightenment, we pull together as one to spread love and all its ramifications.  We are in unity with that love and we have come into being as an expression of love.

The first step in furthering love’s growth, as its growth is eternal, is to recognize that love that radiates from within you and to find the ability to love yourself.  Mastering self-love can be difficult, because one always finds flaws connected to our self-image.  If you can penetrate the ego’s force, as it is the ego that creates this doubt, you move a step closer to this realization.

You must align with your true self and simply allow that magnificent force of love and compassion that exists within.  This is not connected to the ego and this alignment allows you to understand the ego’s endless pursuit of control.  If you see flaws in yourself, do not identify with them as they are not part of your true essence.  These thoughts are manifestations of the ego and you can transcend ego’s force by moving beyond its power.  See the thoughts for what they are.  To beat ego’s struggle to maintain control is no different than beating an addition.  The thoughts that go through a smoker’s head when they are trying to quite are ridiculous in content when heard after the addiction has been beat!  The ego’s voice is no different than the voice heard by those suffering from addiction.  We must learn not to identify with them.

You are a perfect creation without flaws and love radiates through your pure essence.  We continually seek to learn and for the spirit to grow but its essence is already a reflection of love.  See yourself for that which you truly are.  Stop identifying with the ego.  Any misleading thoughts that belittle you or make you feel superior are ego generated.  Do not identify with these.  They are not part of who you are.  Watch for making judgements based on the ego’s interpretation.  Love yourself as you are and watch love grow in your life.  Love is the greatest power of all and can never be relinquished.  Eternal life, eternal love; there are no bounds.

Stagnation

Do you feel as though they have been down this road before, made significant changes but still feel that there is no real progress in your lives? You have tried many different alternatives and still feel as though life has stagnated on you somehow. How do you move forward and give your life meaning?

Let me reassure you that any step regardless of how minor is a step in the right direction. Change takes time and although you are working hard, progress is limited to what is right for you at the moment. You may feel that you are ready and know that you are willing to obtain your goals, whatever that goal may be, but advancement seems sluggish or even stalled.

As I am sure you have heard before, “Rome was not built in one day” and this should be your expectations with life’s progress. It takes time but understand that although progress seems slow, you are progressing. This is what is important.

Recall back five years and visualize your life then. Do not focus on material success; look internally and remember where you have come from. The change is far greater than anticipated. We sometimes have to stop to take a closer look to actually realize how far we have journeyed. Progress may have seemed sluggish but if you look at the whole pictures, you realize your overall progress confirms you ARE moving along.

Do not gauge your life by material achievements. Do not gauge your life by the schooling or academic understanding you have incorporated into your life. True living is not reflected by external achievement, although one can take personal satisfaction in a job well done. Life is gauged by internal achievement and how you view yourself. What internal changes have you made? How have you improved your life? What further growth do you envision for yourself in the coming years? What truly makes you happy (and we do not speak of fleeting happiness)?

Write down these questions and then record your honest answers. This information does not need to be shared as it is personal, but valid. Place these notations somewhere so that you can review them later on to see what changes have transpired in your life. It will be a good gauge for you to actually see your progress. By writing these questions and answers down, you will receive a push in your intended direction.

If your focus leans towards material improvement, this is okay. We are not brought into the material world to complete ignore the physical needs. Ask yourself what your plans for the future are likely to manifest and what you want to manifest. Do they match up?

You must prioritize and rationally decide what is important and what will further you own personal growth. There are all kinds of life lessons and accept that you will veer off course every now and again. That is part of the process, as nothing worthwhile comes without some challenges. Hold on! Stay strong and know that if you stumble, you just have to stand up, dust yourself off and continue your journey. (Note-- When you have tripped and fallen, before you get up, be sure to look around on the ground around you. Your most valued treasure may be lying there waiting for you to find it!)

Sun in Capricorn

We welcome in the Sun Sign of Capricorn on Sunday, December 22, 2013. Capricorn is perhaps one of the most misjudged signs of the Zodiac. Those born under this sign have been identified as emotionless, as driven by sheer determination and as arriving at a place based solely on material achievement. It is true that Capricorn people do not reveal their emotional nature, unless the Moon is placed in a watery sign such as Pisces, Scorpio or Cancer, but this does not mean that they are emotionless. Capricorn people are very emotional by nature but have difficulty letting these intense emotions out.

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, which has a tendency to restrict and inhibit such things as emotions. Capricorn people are sensitive to criticism and especially when the criticism is pointed towards their emotional side. They are far from cold! It is suffice to say that when they find a place of release, their emotions comes out in a slow but deliberate fashion.

Most individuals with the Sun in Capricorn and strong placements in the tenth house could be referred to as achievers. They make their mark in life, but not through channels of quick decisions (such as Aries individuals). Capricorn people will make their way up the ladder in a precise and calculated manner. They are strategic planners and will make their way up the corporate ladder through diligent and consistent effort and hard work. They will gain their recognition through their own personal efforts and understand that it takes time to reach the top.

Most Capricorn personalities are reserved, and conscientious of their mannerisms. They rarely reveal much of their true identity and believe in gentle persuasion rather than gruff behaviour. You will have a difficult time getting to know them, as they withhold much of what goes on inside. As they become comfortable with you, however, they slowly start to release. As this is happening, you may be tested with regards to their strict and moral conduct of behaviour.

Many Capricorn individuals have a religious side and once again this may not be obvious to others. Many follow a strict code of personal ethics. Nothing comes without some type of effort and Capricorn understands this better than most. They are methodical thinkers, particularly so if Mercury is in an earth sign and would rather take the tried and tested route than move into something unfamiliar. They value those that have “been through the ropes” and are more than willing to learn from other people’s experience.

They have a place in their heart for tradition, and many have strict moral upbringings. They know the difference between right and wrong and follow upright and honest approaches to life. There are those that become obsessed with the pursuit of achievement and these individuals must find a place of balance between corporate success and a happy family life. Some become corporate climbers and never marry to dedicate their life to success and moving up this ladder.

In order to move beyond the barriers they erect, Capricorn will have to find a cause that is greater than self. As important as corporate achievement may be, if they find an occupation where they can be of assistance to those of lesser standing in the eyes of the status quo and help build up confidence in others, they open the door for an achievement far beyond the boundaries of the material world.

Ego's Hold

Our ego is an influence to be reckoned with, yet it is personified with childlike conduct. When given dominance, the ego can overpower our true identity and lay a foundation, although weak, that will stifle our true potential to the point of stagnation. The ego wants to give us a false sense of self, and will promote feelings of superiority over others, usually through intellectual ability, or attained success.

If you over-identifies with the ego, you will resort to putting others down leaving those that lack self confidence bewildered by such attacks. The ego infiltrates our rational and makes it somehow acceptable to willfully hurt others through jokes or otherwise. When the ego is allowed to flourish, it intends to gain some internal power that once again provided a stronghold on its existence. In gathering momentum and power, the ego penetrates your consciousness and makes you believe that you are right about almost anything. Even when you acknowledged that you have strayed in your judgement, the ego insists that it is right and will never admit defeat or error.

The ego is easily hurt when attacked and will stand loyal in its own defence fighting back with force to prove its validity. It requires a glorified image of self and needs no one, as it is totally self-sufficient and believes in its own justification at any cost. The ego’s will to live or continue to thrive is the ultimate concern.

The weakest link that can be found in the ego is the fact that it is false, and as long as we identify with this false image, we allow it to gain momentum and strengthen. The true self, a much stronger entity which resides internally, can dominate the ego force at will, but over identifying with the ego’s intent limits its interaction. Eventually in the majority of individuals, a balancing takes place and the ego loses its effect. A life connected to its pure essence will crush the bloated ego, as ego’s rightful place resides in balance with our true self, where is can promote confidence in self without the feeling of superiority over others – just equality.

As balancing is found, one understands that hurt can only be generated from the ego and the true self can never be hurt. You begin to release the stronghold of the ego and humility, love, compassion and enlightenment replaces the once held fortified foundation of the ego. The inner self knows that enlightenment can only be attained through the release of the ego, as any worthwhile emotion will not be found within the bloated ego’s grasp.

The longer you allow the ego’s domination, the harder the fall from grace. Put a stop to the ego’s eternal need for supremacy over everything and everyone, as this sense is only temporary and fabricated. Moving beyond the ego opens the door to true perception and moves you ever closer to oneness with your essence.

The Second Saturn Return

Saturn’s cycle is about 29 years in length and if you remember your first return between the ages of 28-30, hopefully you are prepared for the coming of the second return between ages 58-60. The area of life affected depends largely on the placement of Saturn by house position, aspects to Saturn from other planets and specific angles (ascendant and MC).

The second return period carries with it a time to reflect on past achievements and decisive actions that you will take as you enter into the later stages of life. There may be a sense of urgency, just as there was with the first return, but not to the extreme. There is a feeling that you must now concentrate your energies on dealings with old habits that may die hard and tie up some loose ends once and for all. Time seems to be fleeting and this may be the last chance to complete some of these tasks.

As the body ages, and in some cases weariness sets in during this transitional period, it is wise to now form good habits around the body’s health with exercise and healthy eating habits. Some experience stages of depression as they realize that their life is undergoing changes both internally and externally. Many prepare for retirement and begin to slow down as the assertiveness to conquer life is not as important because by now you are actually beginning to figure out things quite nicely.

Many will experience a softening effect to their overall personality and an awakening to realms of higher learning no longer attached to material living. There is some soul searching and the potential for the inner spirit to become more apparent. Your ambitions seem to take a gradual turn and you may now focus your attention on things already known and delve into deeper understanding of these subjects, or objectives in life.

Saturn has always been known as the task maker and now you reap some of the rewards for your hard work, although not without some strife along the way. You will still need to work towards your intentions, but may now have more patience than you did in the previous return period. There is a new understanding that begins to shed some light in areas that you never understood before. It is a time of knowledge gained through life’s experience and the wise use of these learned things.

You may find that doors open, shedding light into new places of thought, as there is an opportunity for deep understanding and much wisdom to be gained. This wisdom comes from within and from outside the self. You are open enough to question things and realize that the knowledge and experienced that has been attained so far, is just part of the big picture. You are more open to discovery than before and the ego is under your scrutiny instead of the other way around.

You are entering the wisdom of knowledge that can only be gained at this stage in life. There is an awakening of insight and an opportunity for great change and you enter this segment of your life, with a willingness and an understanding that change comes from within and moves at its own pace. You are finally in a position to share your knowledge but also realize that you have a lot to learn as the road ahead is as broad as it is long. The avenues for spiritual awakening calls to those that are ready and willing to take on the challenge. This is not a final stage. It is the beginning of a new one.

This Life's Last Door

The ego expresses itself on many levels and there are several ways of looking at this apparent companion or “master” force. Identifying with the ego is of paramount concern as it can take you places that both create concrete results or entangled concepts that are anything but effective in their nature or for your growth. As you walk with your ego, watch for identifying with the voice that says you are better than others, deserve more than others, should have recognition for who you are and even more subtle you deserve these rewards and more.

When we come to terms of being equal as spirit (as our whole essence), and that each and every one of us are in the pursuit of true happiness and enlightenment, regardless of what enlightenment may mean, we begin to get a grasp of how the ego transcends on our attitude of self. At some point in time, we all walk together towards the road of death of this material lifetime and everything we have gained materially as well as spiritually will be on our minds when we near the end.

If you have spent your life, high on who you are and what you have accomplished in your life, whether that be abundance in the material world, or advancement in the concept of doing what others could not do because of your intellectual abilities, where does this leave you on deaths door? How did it move you forward as you prepare for the final stage of this life’s mission?

All balances out in the end and it does not matter what you have attained during this life unless it is something that will not be left behind upon death of this incarnation. If you have chosen a life of service, one where in your own personal way you have assist others and help them find a place of happiness, you can move into your final moments with a sense of contentment that will not be found elsewhere.

You may leave behind a legacy of financial security; however, money is fleeting and often leads to wanting more. Leaving behind a memory, or better still, an example of how fulfilling life should be lived is far more reaching and may sway others into a direction more appropriate to their evolution while on earth.

As you mature and evolve as spirit, you will find that giving without measure actually gives in return internal rewards that far outweigh any material success you may gain. Providing a shoulder to lean on, a smile of reassurance or a congratulating handshake can be far more effective in motivating others and helping them believe in themselves during times of strife.

When it is all said and done, how will you be remembered and what will your achievements provide for those left behind? Be the agent of love and compassion. Be the example that others will follow. Ensure that the example you provide is one of reassurance and growth. When you shed your earthly skin, what legacy will you leave behind?

Believe

As you cross the threshold and open the door to the ever present moment (the here and now), know that the gate to the beyond is here, within your concept of truth. Your beliefs are the key to the awakening process, for without belief, you will go no further. Remain open to faith and allow the unfolding to begin.

This is your life to live and your life to explore. Your life embodies the expectations for your tomorrows. Your unfolding story began long before your birth and was carefully mapped out before your spirit entered this earthly body.

The ego reigns and maintains a place of dominance as long as you identify with this lurking force. Open your eyes to the truth. Understand that the ego matures and ages with the body. It transforms and evolves to maintain its positioning, its stronghold, its supremacy. You, however, are not your ego!

You are transcendent by virtue. You will never cease to exist. You have available to you the vast stored knowledge of time itself. There are countless memories warehoused within, that lie dormant waiting for release--information generated to assist you with your voyage and support you in your times of need.

You are never alone! There are guides along the road that help steer you towards your intended path, ever beckoning you towards your awakening to the truth behind your existence. Just believe and the release of the true self begins. You are connected with the pure essence of all things. You are part of the whole. Believe this. Know this and move onward into the light holding hands with love, reverence and respect for all living things. Let the journey begin and believe.

Jupiter Trine Saturn

Currently, Jupiter and Saturn are making a trine to one another. If you have other planets or your Ascendant or Midheaven is near 18 degrees and particularly in a water sign, these planets will be affecting your life. You could give these interconnecting points and planets a three degree orb of influence -- 15-21 degrees of any sign, but particularly water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. These two planets will be in trine for most of November and December of this year and then again in May and June of 2014 when they make the same connection once again.

Often times, the first connection, which will be in effect now, signifies the earlier stages of the event. The final pass or connection is often indicative of the culminating effects and action taken by you that sets the stage for further unfolding. This is considered a time of equilibrium as well as a sense of order. Although you may have to work diligently towards any given goal, you are in a much better position to reap rewards for hard work. Your professional life, especially if the MC is accentuated during this time, will move steadily towards the intended direction.

The organizational aptitude that these aspects imply will push you towards solid and beneficial rewards for all your hard work. There is an apparent understanding of the rules within the rules and higher learning play a part in these unfolding events. You are more willing to accept life’s obligations and you are working towards improving your future possibilities. It seems that people in authority are more eager to take heed to your advice, as they see potential in your undertakings and realize that this may improve their own personal position.

Saturn is often indicative of older individuals or authority personalities that are now willing to provide you with assistance not only in work related ways, but also in your personal areas of life. You are in a position to gain from their inherent knowledge and if you pay attention, they can assist you towards future goals, both personal and through business.

This is a time to amalgamate many aspects of your life and plan for your future. You can now make peace with any hindrances and obstacles that were in your way, and they may now be removed which will clear the way for the future paths. It is important not to burn any bridges as you move through this passage way of life. You are quite capable of making the adjustments that are required and have the farsightedness to realize your potential.

If the planetary placements under this influence are water, it also signifies emotional balancing. If these positions are in earth, this influence will lean more on the occupational and progressive earthly incentives that you may have been pursuing. If the placements are in fire, it will be a great time to move forward in your objectives and push towards concrete results, as fire indicates action and the affirmative use of force. Watch for any aggressive behaviour or ego involvement. If these positions are in air, this influence would lean more towards intellectual curiosity and stability and would indicated an opening of the learning channels.

Commitment

This is another writing that I stumbled upon written around 1980. I have made some alterations, but very little. It was titled “The Commitment”.

Contentment requires complete dedication to the opening of channels to the one within. There is only one route to travel, and you must make a decision whether or not you are willing to take this route. It will, by no means, be an easy one, and it will take much will power to succeed. The task can, however, be accomplished as we are all capable, but first we must make this total and complete commitment.

This commitment requires much dedication and an earnest effort on your part. First you must take an honest look at yourself and accept what you see. The transformation cannot begin until you have done this.

Next you will need to take a look at yourself from a distance or visualize yourself how you wish you will be in the future. Realize that what you wish to become will be accomplished through baby steps and it will take time to get there. You are human and therefore, you will make mistakes along the way and maybe even have to start over at some point but it is important to keep trying. When you fall, get right back up again and never give up. If you follow these guidelines, you WILL reach your goal.

The greatest part of this commitment is that you must remain true to yourself. Set high standards for yourself. Do not be afraid to reach for the sky. The higher you aim, the greater the outcome.

The speed at which you move holds little importance. The importance lies in the realization that you are moving ahead. Understand that the very wish to attain this goal is pushing you in the right direction. As long as you have a goal in mind, you will progress.

Pay attention to your daily routine, and your reactions to events. What was your first thought that came to mind when reacting to an event? If the reaction is negative, look to the other side of the coin. As time passes and you begin to learn and understand this ability to pay attention and review the minds reactions, your outer circumstances and inner attitudes begin to change. This process will be slow at first, but as you familiarize yourself with this new way of reflecting on yourself, it becomes easier and easier, until finally no effort is required at all. You have now made this positive trait part of your personality.

As your internal views change, your external life changes for your beliefs mold your reality. You are in control; now take command, for your destiny is in your own hands.

In reviewing this writing from 33 years ago, it is obvious to me that our belief structures are in place at a relatively early stage of our personal evolution. We receive guidance continuously as we progress along our life’s path. Even at such an early stage of development, guidance is always available and accessible. The same spiritual teacher still resides within and the echoes of that time are still reflective in today’s development.

Saturn Trine Saturn

As we often look into Astrological aspects that involve Saturn (the task maker, the disciplinarian, the teacher and the one that rewards for tasks well done), we thought we would look into the transiting trine of Saturn to its natal position. As Saturn usually restricts and challenges us to do well and make the right decisions, the trine offers an opportunity to reinforce our view of who we are and how far we have come.

Saturn makes a trine to itself every nine to ten years of life and during these encounters, it offers us a stable understanding of where we are in life and what needs adjustment in the coming years. There is a sense of preparation that takes place during this time and depending on what age we are, these periods offer a time to lay down the foundation or base work for what has become important facets of our evolution. These are times when we are able to clearly see the ramifications of our actions, particularly the ones where we succeeded. We then can use these experiences as stepping stones for times to come.

These trines provide us with security and stability. They leave us in a position where we can utilize these strengths and take conscious control in the understanding of how our life’s objectives have performed until now. These new understandings are given birth through experience, through life’s teachings and cannot be taught in a classroom.

Our attitude and viewpoint of life reaches a point of balance and we have a new found understanding that provides us with information through past experiences that will guide us down the road. This is not a testing time, as are most other Saturn aspects. We may be familiar with how well our ideologies stood the test of time, but as yet we are not aware of how well they will stand the tests of the future.

As you pass through these trines of Saturn to Natal Saturn, it would be wise to examine your evolutionary progress, and with an open mind, make the necessary changes and improvements that will enhance growth in the upcoming years. Since Saturn’s influence is usually inflexible and somewhat fixated in its offerings, keep an open mind to new opportunities and chances for development. It is imperative to remain supple and adaptable within Saturn’s infamous confines.

MEDITATION AS A PRACTICE

In order to awaken to your full potential, there are two main components that must be followed and I use the word “must” because without following these guidelines, you may eventually reach higher learning but may not reach it to its fullest potential. By following these guidelines, you will stand a much better chance in obtaining a more desired outcome.

The first of these practices is to accept that there is a much greater force than self which impacts your “being”. This essential force, call it God or Godhead, if you will, or pure essence, or source, or basis, our genesis has an impact on our lives that cannot be found elsewhere. You have to give yourself over to this essence and let go. We must realize that this will accurately guide you in the intended direction. Letting go squashes the ego and all its imbalances which makes room for true guidance.

The second preparation that should be followed is meditation and you should practice meditation regularly at least once a day for as long as you can, without overextending yourself. You will know when each individual meditation is complete. Keep the flow going and open channels that otherwise may remain dormant or closed to future growth. Meditating on a regular basis will eventually awaken you to the essence and the knowledge that dwells within us all.

Do not worry about the mind’s interference. If you mind wonders just pull yourself back to your mantra and let go of the thoughts. As time passes, the interference becomes less frequent and eventually what you experience does not come from the mind’s -- it will come from our pure essence. This potential awakening is available to each and every one of us without exception. The door is never locked and all you need to do is decide to enter.

For those who do not have a mantra, you could use “God is love”. “God” on the in breath and “is love” on the out breath, or “Peace is with you” “peace” on the in breath and “is with you” on the out breath. You can discover your own mantra, one that resonates with you and has special meaning. Remember to stay steadfast to your meditation and if you should fall off, so be it; just pull yourself back and begin again. It takes time to make it part of your life, but over time you will feel incomplete without meditation.

Your practice can be as little as five minutes several times a day. You can meditate anytime and anywhere. You do not have to close your eyes, although it is best to do so. Find a comfortable position, relax your body from the toes up—actually feel the body relaxing. Take three or four deep breaths through your nose hold for a second and then release through your mouth. These deep breaths begin the relaxation process. It may take time to experience anything that you realize comes from your pure essence, but it will happen.

It’s best to stop looking and just experience. Do not give up. Stay consistent, steadfast and above all else, be true to yourself. Meditation will impact your life; guaranteed!

Our Work Environment

Are you climbing the corporate ladder of success? Are you on your way to achievement in this world? Have you made your mark? Have you ever questioned what significance can be found in the corporate world and whether or not this achievement has any real meaning beyond financial gain?

It is hard to say why we are so wrapped up in making a name for ourselves, or achieving that goal in life. There is nothing wrong with working towards an accomplishment. You just have to make sure that moving up that corporate or financial ladder does not take the place of being with family or experiencing tranquility and enjoyment. Unfortunately some people just cannot find the balance with these and they are caught in the middle unsure of what can be done to correct the imbalance.

Earning a living is important on a survival level in this life, as it is crucial to provide the essentials in life but there is also a sense of contentment for some people in securing a future for ourselves and our families.

Think of the time spent each day carried out our vocational responsibilities. Some are passionate about their jobs but unfortunately, others despise their jobs but carry on through necessity. Fortunately for some, the final outcome, our retirement, provides a time of comfort and the freedom to do that which they are more compassionate about doing.

Aside from the security and essentials a job provides, there has to be some type of significance to this process of working for such a large portion of our lives. Perhaps it is not so much the importance of attaining success or financial stability that matters. Perhaps the great importance is the interaction between people that matters. Everyone, without except, that we meet through our jobs (throughout any part of our lives for that matter) teaches us something of value just as we provide something of value to them. The nature of our work and the achievements along that path can help prepare us for our future, but what kind of influence do we have on those we encountered during our busy day? How are we affecting their lives and what is it that we talk about that has significance? Perhaps that little pat on the shoulder, a reminder that someone cares, or a few gentle supportive words are just as or maybe even much more important than our success.

Take a look at how you handle the people you are in contact with during your eventful day and watch their reaction to your interaction. Are you steering them in the right direction? Are you helping them overcome? Are you providing valuable information that can assist them in their journey? How deep do your communications run? Are there hidden meanings behind conversation that only the subconscious picks up? Are our acquaintances with us by chance? Is everything a coincidence?

Dig deep and uncover your potential. Infiltrate each and every life you come in contact with, with compassion and integrity. Work towards a better work environment where peace is generated and friendships are formed. “Feel” your way around and watch how you influence others. Your work place is important but not just to support you financially. Your attitude surrounding your work plays a significant role on how your day goes and your impact on those around you. Make your job work in favour of your growth, and find the real behind-the-scenes purpose of the common workplace.

Fixed T Square

A T-square is made up of at least three planets, usually at least two in opposition with one another and a third planet squares both these planets. The orbs or distance between the planets should be fairly tight, usually no more than five degree’s between the oppositions and about 2 degrees to the square. The tighter the angle between the planets in question, the stronger the influence in the Astrology chart. The planet that is square to both of the other two planets is the principal or focal planet. There are three types of T-squares, being the Cardinal, the Fixed and the Mutable T-squares. We will discuss the Fixed T-square today.

All T-squares induce a high degree of enthusiasm, motivation and a capacity to achieve. Some individuals that have this configuration in their Birth charts, place too much energy on the focal planet. This extreme focus in one area creates a tendency to produce a see-saw affect in which balance is needed to stop the individual from leaning too much in one direction. The focal planet involved as well as its house placement is indicative of where all the energy is focused. If this energy is used in a constructive fashion, the individual with this combination will become very successful. The T-square produces the greatest rate of achievement among major chart configurations.

The fixed T-square displays a high degree of strength, endurance and a strong will. These individuals have the ability to concentrate their energy in one direction with great determination and authority. They often use this energy in the formation of self-gratification and the fulfillment of their wants. There is a tendency for these individuals to take some time building up the energy required to move forward in the intended direction and then usually they release all this energy or drive outward in a forceful and dominant manner. It is like they gather information with great patience and then once they are assured internally of success, they will push forward aggressively in pursuit of their objective.

It is important that when pursuing their dreams and wishes that they use their energy constructively and create a foundation that can benefit all of those concerned. The overall project must reach beyond the needs of the self, as self-fulfillment eventually becomes shallow and does not hold its relevance for too long. Developing a sense of principles and ethics can prove to be one of the most beneficial outlets for all this energy and displacing it into useful avenues that service a greater cause will be most rewarding.

Communication

Many of us lead busy lives and spend much of our day tethered to our work, driving home to create the evening meal, completing tasks in our daily routine and then off to bed for another restful sleep. Many of us spend our evening after a meal, watching television or communicating with our acquaintances through Facebook or other social media. There are also those that spend countless hours playing interactive games via cell phones and the internet.

Take a moment and think about what is lacking in our day.

Communication on a one-to-one, face-to-face level is slowly being replaced by communication and interaction on our cell phones through the written word and other devices. We are so wrapped up in these communication devices, either playing games or texting that we have forgotten to be together as a family or to enjoy our friendships on a tangible level.

We are never alone as many of us can occupy one room but actual human interaction through emotion and physical contact on a platonic level is becoming a thing of the past. We are slowly loosing physical contact with one another in favour of electronic amusement or conversation. Our children are either watching television or gaming to occupy their time. If limits are not placed on these activities, these children are losing or never developing their social skills which are so necessary for both their physical and spiritual development. I recently read that there are direct links with the feelings of isolation, depression, distorted sense of reality, extreme or no sense of self worth, lack of social skills, etc. with the over use of technology with our children.

Are we losing our human nature from all of this technological contact? Are we losing out on interaction between friends and loved one and replacing this precious time with faceless interaction? I have personally experienced, as I am sure you have too, a group of people sitting together in a room and the majority of these people completely focused on their various communication devises to the point that they cannot carry on a conversation with those in the room. How can we, as a group, enjoy friendly conversation, interact and share our experiences?

Technology certainly has its place and if used correctly can enhance our quality of life. These tools are important for communicate with friends and family who cannot be with us. These tools are important learning tools with all its vast information as long as we take the information from reliable sources. These tools are great to fill time and unwind through social interaction or by playing games.

Use your technology but be sure that it is not at an exorbitant cost to you, your family and your friends. Share your life with those that are with you in body as well as with those that are on the other end of your communication devices. Ensure that your children develop all of the skills that they will need to enrich their lives. Nothing will ever replace a hug or kiss!

Moon in Sagittarius

As we have now entered into the sign of Sagittarius, we thought we would touch on some similarity with the Moon in Sagittarius. Keep in mind that the Moon is primarily representative of the emotional makeup that best describes us and our emotional well-being.

With the Moon agreeably placed in the sign of Sagittarius, many individuals with this placement are considered to be outspoken and enjoy a good debate. When expressing themselves, these individuals do so with vigor and lean strongly on philosophic points of view. They are always on the lookout for ways to express themselves in order to promote optimistic and adventurous ideologies. Their view of life, regardless of obstacles that may be placed in their way, harbours a feeling of great hope and they are rarely affected by life’s restrictions.

They have a wide, open approach to life and are receptive to almost anything as long as the intentions are in line with their belief structure. They are also known for their love of wide open spaces as they are truly in need of personal space but would gladly share their life with anyone that wants to be a part of it with them. They are a generous spirit and are inspiring with their positive attitude that can pull others out of their place of restriction and dismay. Their view of life, regardless of its challenges, reflects that there is always something just around the corner that will lift them out of the present situation. Because of this attitude, they are rarely down for long and bounce back from life’s difficulties with enthusiasm and buoyancy.

Friendships mean a great deal to the Moon in Sagittarius individual and they truly need someone to call their best friend. They welcome lifelong companions. Even when it comes to love, they will have to be their best friend first and foremost and then the rest will just naturally follow.

As with most of our posts, we tend to take an optimistic approach to life and to our Astrological interpretations. Describing primarily the negative qualities in our posts would serve little purpose. We would be amiss, however, if we did not touch on some of the important less attractive qualities that may surface. If these Moon in Sagittarius individuals accept their shortcomings, they are able to rid themselves of them.

Some individuals with this lunar placement can become rather dogmatic in their views and are not easily swayed in their opinions and belief structures. These opinions are abundant in many ways both for the positive and negative. These individuals can become overly optimistic and view life from a viewpoint that may not be all that realistic. They also have the foot-in-mouth disease at times and can unintentionally injure others with their direct, no-nonsense approach to questions that may be asked of them. Ask a question and be prepared to hear the truth regardless of how painful or direct it may be.

All in all, people with the Moon in Sagittarius, or a strong influence of planets in the ninth house, are pleasing individuals. You will enjoy being in their company as they will be comfortable in yours. Enjoy their enthusiastic approach and listen to their philosophic approach to life. Each one of us may learn a thing or two that could help our approach to life. These individuals will gladly be your friend and you can count on their honesty and unfiltered attitude towards all of life.

Leap of Faith

So are you ready to take that leap of faith? Can you move forward without any expectations? Are you willing to let go? We know that Spirit sustains us in our transcendent path. Something has an influence. There are far too many “coincidences”. Life is not by chance. It is too intricate, and there are far too miracles occurring if we care to look close enough to recognize them.

For many, the concept of believing is enough and they understand that letting go is the ultimate decision one can make to release themselves from the grips of the ego. The ego wants to have full control of our lives. This is what makes us hang on, as there is great fear in losing control. First, you must understand that the feeling of fear is not part of the true self; fear is ego generated. You are whole and can never be broken down or made less in any way. The ego, however, can be relinquished and the fear that you feel comes from this ability. We must learn not to identify with the ego and transcend beyond the ego’s interference.

Letting go can be difficult, because part of us believes that “things” may not work out (the way ego wants it too), or may not happen (the way ego wants it to). These are only concerns of wishing for things to be the way we WANT them to turn out. Is this always the best case scenario? Do we have a full understanding of what we need to learn? This once again is ego intervention. We are already perfect but in order to see this, we must be released from the clutches of the ego.

You control your reactions to life’s events. You control your destiny by the mind’s focus but who you are just is. The true you is not contained within this human shell. The true you is already whole and is totally connected with your source or basis of who we all are already. Letting go of fear and handing yourself over to the powers that be without ego is paramount in self realization and the awakening of the true spirit within us all.

The true you will never be lost as you are one with the whole. What else could you be?

We are all one and indivisible with our source, basis or God. To find God, you have to let go of ego and take that leap of faith. Move forward into your intended path. The journey awaits you. Let go of control and know that destiny has a place and purpose for you. We are meant to be enlightenment as one.
