Christmas Without Family but Never Alone

With Christmas at our doorstep, we thought we would reflect on those individuals without family or those who have family that they cannot join.  Unfortunately, there are many people that are alone and we wanted to let them know, that although they may feel alone, if they stop for a moment and take in the true spirit of Christmas, they will realize that they are never alone in spirit.

Some are without loved ones through death, distance or separation, and Christmas can be an extremely difficult time.  We want to spread joy and hope to everyone and to let them know that they are never truly alone.  The spirit of the loved ones departed is always present in your life and especially during these times.  Open your heart to the energy of those who have passed on and know that their love and spirit is always with you.

Your loved ones feel your agony and despair and know your silent suffering.  This knowing is however on a different level, and we cannot experience them the way that we may wish to.  Know that they are still around you and their eternal hand is on your shoulder letting you know that things are alright.

For those that are separated through distance or through family difficulties, this too can be an especially trying time.  Memories of how things used to be can be especially hard.

Life continually has new chapters that in their early stages can be difficult to digest.  Know that just around the next corner, a new beginning awaits you and your new life will begin.  All stages in life are temporary and should be viewed this way.  Never give up and know that life will always provide you with what you need, especially when you feel that you are at the end of the road.

Someone or something will come along at the least expected moment and assist you in moving beyond these temporary hurdles.  Be patient and never let go of hope.  There are times that we have to go to great depths of despair to be able to acknowledge and appreciate all that life offers just beyond the next doorway.

Plan to do something this Christmas special for you, be it a meal at a restaurant, going to a movie, or attending a Christmas service so that you are interacting with others.  There IS a feeling of love and happiness that is prevalent during this festive season (if you look beyond the stress, hustle and bustle that people place upon themselves).  There is always someone out there that cares and loves you whether you are aware of it or not.

If you are alone, undoubtedly there are others within your life’s circle that are also alone.  Could you host a celebration and invite others?  It WILL take effort but realize the benefits of helping yourself through helping others.

If you are hosting a family celebration and know someone that will be on their own, would it not be wonderful to share your celebrations with them?

Invite others in or ask if you can be part of other’s experiences, depending on your circumstances.  Is this not the true spirit of Christmas?

We walk our road of life alone as each and every one of us has a different course to take.  This does not mean that we have to BE alone.  Along the way there is always someone that is willing to share.  Open your heart to giving or open your heart to the knowledge that others care.

To those that celebrate Christmas and to those that do not, may this holiday season be filled with special peace and wonder.  May the love and compassion that is generated through the act of giving engulf you.

Our warmest wishes for a joyful and loving experience and may you know that you are never alone.  There are always “guides” along the road that provide the needed strength to get through anything, anytime.  Be strong and find the spirit of love and giving and have a wonderfully magical experience.
