TIMING

TIMING
How do we know when the timing is right to move ahead or change direction?

Are we ready for action or change?

How will our action affect us?

These are some of the questions we ask ourselves when we are planning.

We may hesitate because of our mind’s chatter, or we may hold back because of fear and anxiety.  These unfortunately can cause missed opportunities.

So then, what guides us and how do we know if we should advance?

Quite often we get what is referred to as “gut feeling or instinct”.  There is a part of us that knows whether or not we should do what we are about to do.  Sometimes we listen to this advice, and sometimes we ignore it.

This is not to say that we don’t do our due diligence.  That is the first step when we decide to move forward with a plan.

There will likely come a time when we look back and say to ourselves “I regret not taking that step”, or “am I ever glad that I listened to my gut instinct and worked towards my goal”.

There will often be worries or concerns about actions taken, but if we sit back and never follow through, we will never know what could have been.  Fear is our greatest enemy and gut instinct is our greatest supporter.  We must learn to differentiate between the two.

Sometimes things just fall into place and sometimes we need to assert ourselves and work diligently towards that result we seek.  Have no regrets because of anxiety and fear that resulted in no action.  Push through adversity and know that whatever decision you make, it was the right one, no matter how it might look in the present moment.

You always move in the intended direction.  What we consider a mistake is actually an experience teaching us a valuable lesson.

Advice from others can assist, but ultimately, you make the final decision, so you take responsibility and the action.

How do we know when to act?

When is the timing right?

Now is the time to act. Don’t let fear stand in your way!

THE CURRENT OF CHANGE

Life is a continual lesson, a continual current of change. We have gained inner strength particularly in the darkest moments. This is a test of resilience. A test of faith in others and ourselves.

There is much uncertainty in life. We really don’t know where we are headed, yet we can always hold our heads high and make our way through the currents of change presented to us daily.

Life moves us along with or without our approval.  We juggle our objectives and set courses for the road ahead without really knowing where that road might take us.

Our objectives are likely feasible and attainable, yet it is okay to reach for higher goals as the higher we aim the higher we can reach.

You may question what is the purpose for striving to achieve or to pushing ahead in life. After all, life is uncertain.

It is human nature to need goals and objectives to strive for as it gives us tangible purpose.

We learn perseverance in dealing with the different climates life presents us with and need to be adaptable as we coming to terms with where life is taking us.  We find solace in those that provide support and tell us to hang on. We maneuver our way forward and we learn to listen to the advice of our inner voice and those who care about us.  We will learn to walk with our heads high through difficulties and we gain immensely through adversity.

There certainly will be times when life smiles at us and we must remind ourselves to relax and enjoy these times.

Life is a continual lesson, a continual current of change. We have gained inner strength particularly in the darkest moments.  This is a test of resilience.  A test of faith in others and ourselves.

Count your blessings and acknowledge your accomplishments.  Believe in yourself.  Listen to advice and know that you are never alone. You can depend on life teaching you whatever you need to know and then moving you in the right direction, always!

ADVERSITY IS A GREAT TEACHER

Have you been trying, for what seems an eternity, to reach certain goals?

Sometimes there seems to be obstacles no matter what way you turn. You are just about to give up and out of the a door opens that was locked previously.

Many of us have experienced this.

How long does it take for everything to align so our goals can materialize?

If our goals do materialize from all our hard work, will they be what we had hoped for?

It is not just about reaching our objective. It is about building resilience; it’s about perseverance; it’s about building character through our own efforts. Adversity is a great teacher.
Some goals in life do not materialize, while others do.  I have to point out that when some goals do not materialize, we should be celebrating as we cannot foresee some of the effects our goals could have brought about.  On the other side of the coin, reaching our goals can bring about much more than we ever dreamed.

In the long run, the results are not any more important than the effort we put into trying to reach them.  This might be hard to digest when we did not reach our ultimate goal, and all our hard work seems to have been for nothing.  Next time we might dig a little deeper and try harder; or alternative, we might know earlier when to back off and cut out losses.

We gain perspective and learn from our efforts.  We advance in one way or another through what we either accomplish or what we failed to accomplish.  The ladder of success is not always an easy one, but one worth climbing.  Sooner or later, you will reach that ultimate goal even though it may not look like your thought it would. Guaranteed, however, we will be stronger because of our efforts and perseverance.

In the end, it is not just about reaching our objective. It is about building resilience; it’s about perseverance; it’s about building character through our own efforts.

Internal struggles work the same way.  We build resilience when we deal with internal issues and gain strength as we make our way through them.  We learn from our mistakes and once again persevere.  We learn what it is to fail, to fall short, and we learn how to get back on our feet and begin once again.

Inner strength is built from life’s struggles. Strength comes from making our way through these struggles and learning from our experiences.  We are here to advance, learn and grow.  Adversity is a great teacher.

TRANSITING SATURN SQUARE MIDHEAVEN

Saturn square our Midheaven suggests obstacles connected to our career, our goals, aspirations and our status in life. Recognition may not come easily, and work can be disrupted or even challenged to such a degree that changes must be made.

Currently (January 2024) Transiting Saturn is in early degrees of Pisces.  If you have your MC (Midheaven) in the Gemini or Sagittarius depending on the degree of your MC, you will be experiencing this square in your birth chart.  Saturn does not move into Aries on a permanent basis until February, 2026, so you will be under this influence at some point during Saturn’s stay in Pisces.

Pisces is a gentle, peace-loving sign and thrives on service on some level.  Pisces is spiritual and religious in many cases and is a strong believer in the unseen. It goes with the flow and avoids conflicts of any kind.  It is the dreamer of the Zodiac and many with strong emphasis of this sign in their charts are the visionaries, the mystics, and the escapists of the Zodiac.  The escapist characteristics stem from the want for peace and tranquility. Many with a strong Pisces’ influence can use drugs or alcohol to escape, at least temporarily, from some of the harsher realities of life.  Of course, you will have to review the whole chart to see if this holds true.

Saturn on the other hand has to do with reality and security and the stabilization of activities often related to securing structure that has a lasting potential.  Saturn is also associated with challenges, stumbling blocks, tedious obligations to get the job done and reliability.  Saturn often indicates hard work and discipline and is known as the teacher of the Zodiac. Saturn pushes us to move out of complacency and urges us to stand strong again the pressures of life.

When Saturn makes the challenging square aspect to our Midheaven, this often suggests that there are obstacles in the way.  Hard work is indicated, and setbacks are often part of the picture.  This can lead to concern and worry about where life is taking us, especially connected to our career, our goals, aspirations and our status in life.  Recognition may not come easily, and work can be disrupted or even challenged to such a degree that changes must be made.  There are no shortcuts, and you will not find the road easy.

If, however, you decide to challenge the situation and work towards building a solid foundation that appears to be falling apart, the rewards for hard work and diligence can be great.  Saturn insists that you work for a result even if you can’t see the end game in the near future.  Sturdiness and stability are often built into what you have committed yourself to accomplish.  You will learn patience, perseverance and gain inner strength even if you fall short of your endeavors as long as you keep working towards an end result.

It likely will not be an easy road and much will depend on the natal potential and how Saturn is aspected along with the other transiting aspects.  Stay the course and work your way through adversity and remain true to your ambitions.  Do not get caught up in any negativity that might befall you and stay strong and focused.
