FOSTERING IN THE NEW

Change is inevitable. 

 

Life never remains the same.  There might be similarities over a period of time, but you can be sure that something will come along and change or shake the very foundation of life.  This should not be viewed as difficult. Change is essential for growth and a forward movement in life. A new direction on some level is at hand and will open the door when the door needs to open, but never before, no matter how things may appear.

 

Sometimes we fear or try to reject change as the current situation is comfortable. We are comfortable and circumstances are familiar. Nonetheless, change will happen, with or without our consent.  When we resist, we create anxiety and fear. If we readily adapt, the transition is much more enjoyable.

 

As we transition, we begin anew into something more relevant or more in line with where we should be. As mentioned, some may struggle with this newness, and we may not be comfortable with what is unfolding.  We fight the process or fearfully hang on to what is. If we reconsider, we realize on some level this change is not only a requirement but actually a necessity. All change begins within.

 

Resist or not, we will venture forth because this is part of our life’s journey.  We have come into this life to experience and grow, with or without our consent. Take life by the horns and move forward without expectations fostering in the new. It is useless to worry about potentials or maybes. 

 

Be open and see where life takes you. Open your arms with anticipation.

RELINQUISH FEAR

Comfort and contentment do not rest in material abundance. They reside within. They are a state of being, an attitude shall we say.  

 

We limit ourselves with preconceived notions and beliefs of what we “think” are possible for us. 

 

Anything we require always lies within, yet we look outside of ourselves for comfort through circumstances or other people, not realizing that these are only obtainable through our attitude. 

 

Looking outside only provides us with a mirror reflection of what lives within. What you see in your outside world is a direct signal of where your mind has taken you in life.  If you don’t like what you see, change your focus or what you concentrate on. Look for what you want for yourself, not what you want to avoid.

 

Expectations over time materialize because of our concentrated focus. If we concentrate on fear, we create more fear. If we concentrate on contentment, we create more contentment.

 

Relinquish fear; release it! Allow your dreams to bloom into reality by focusing on those dreams actually being.

OPPORTUNITY AWAITS

There are times when everything just seems to fall into place without effort; life just seems to flow. 

 

At other times, there are opportunities, but we must take advantage of them or else they can slip away without effect.  We realize we should have taken advantage of what was available but it was too little too late.

 

When we know that there is an opportunity at hand, we might have second thoughts.  What if this is a mistake or what if we are not seeing things or building on things? 

 

Fear enters, and we do nothing simply because we worry about failure. 

 

Perhaps we will fail or have shortcomings, and our concerns are quite valid, but what if it was just our minds playing with us? 

 

What if moving ahead was the right thing to do and the time was perfect? 

 

What if “what if” and we ask ourselves again and again.

 

Most of us will have occasions to be in the right place at the right time or something magical seems to happen to us out of the blue.  For most of us, this is not a regular experience.

 

We must always do our due diligence to weigh out the pros and cons before we jump; there is no doubt about it.  We can’t go into situations blindfolded.

 

No one has the right to tell us what we should do with our life, and we must make our own decisions when opportunity awaits.  Recognize, however, that no matter what we do, we will move ahead as we should whether it is a hard life lesson or an easy, wonderful walk in the proverbial park. 

 

Life lessons can be tedious, and they can be a blessing.  Opportunity awaits us. Do not squander opportunities when they knock because of fear!

TIMING

How do we know when the timing is right to move ahead or change direction? 

 

Are we ready for action or change? 

 

How will our action affect us? 

 

These are some of the questions we ask ourselves when we are planning.

 

We may hesitate because of our mind’s chatter, or we may hold back because of fear and anxiety.  These unfortunately can cause missed opportunities. 

 

So then, what guides us and how do we know if we should advance? 

 

Quite often we get what is referred to as “gut feeling or instinct”.  There is a part of us that knows whether or not we should do what we are about to do.  Sometimes we listen to this advice, and sometimes we ignore it.

 

This is not to say that we don’t do our due diligence.  That is the first step when we decide to move forward with a plan.

 

There will likely come a time when we look back and say to ourselves “I regret not taking that step”, or “am I ever glad that I listened to my gut instinct and worked towards my goal”. 

 

There will often be worries or concerns about actions taken, but if we sit back and never follow through, we will never know what could have been.  Fear is our greatest enemy and gut instinct is our greatest supporter.  We must learn to differentiate between the two.

 

Sometimes things just fall into place and sometimes we need to assert ourselves and work diligently towards that result we seek.  Have no regrets because of anxiety and fear that resulted in no action.  Push through adversity and know that whatever decision you make, it was the right one, no matter how it might look in the present moment. 

 

You always move in the intended direction.  What we consider a mistake is actually an experience teaching us a valuable lesson. 

 

Advice from others can assist, but ultimately, you make the final decision, so you take responsibility and the action.

 

How do we know when to act?

 

When is the timing right?

 

Now is the time to act. Don’t let fear stand in your way!

FEAR AND OBSTRUCTIVE VIEWS

There is certainly justified fear.  There are many cases, when fear is in place to warn us of danger.

 

Fear, however, can also be a part of our life because of our perceptions and our belief structures.  We can live in fear of what might unfold even when there are no indicators that such an event is possible.  Our minds can trump good judgement and take us down roads that do not need to be travelled.  We can be swept away by our thoughts which are not based on reality.  We must step back and recognize our mind’s chatter for what it is and bring ourselves back into the moment (reality).

 

We cannot change what we do not recognize so recognition of the mind’s chatter is the first step.

 

Negative viewpoints on life events or people that we associate with can change the course of our relationships at home, with friends and co-workers. These viewpoints can also stand in the way of peace, mentally and emotionally. 

 

Forgive where forgiveness is appropriate. It is essential to look within at our own actions before we lay blame on others. Is our perception clear or is our judgement clouded?

 

If you are in danger or in an abusive relationship, do what you need to do to change this.

 

If someone has misspoke, a heartfelt conversation and forgiveness may be the appropriate action. 

 

Take the action needed to move forward whether this entails maintaining the relationship or moving on but do not hold a grudge.  Grudges hurt you; no one else.

 

Do not act out of hurt and haste when making decisions that are irreversible. Fear and obstructive views are detrimental. Haste and ego can lead to many years of wasted time or worse.

SENSELESS ACTS

If you have been the recipient of a seemingly senseless act, my heart goes out to you.  These acts can be very intrusive and, in many cases, can set someone in a spiral causing great grief and anxiety.  If we cannot comprehend the why behind an act, it can be hard to process.

 

Unfortunately, there are perpetrators and there are those who care little about the effects their actions have on others.  Instead of using this energy constructively, they indiscriminately unleash their fury on others.

 

For those that have been the recipient or outlet for someone’s fury or have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time, most often these acts are not against you personally. Regardless, however, these acts take place without warning and can have powerful side effects. 

 

If we want to return to any sense of order in our lives or enjoy peace of mind, we must learn to process, let go and move on. Holding on to these injustice only causes us heartache and anguish for longer than necessary. They hold us captive to the past.  We must live through adversity but then learn to let go and move on with our lives.  We can’t change what has happened and we cannot blame ourselves in any way for the actions of others.

.

There are always life lessons to be learned from whatever unfolds in our lives, but in many cases, we may not understand the why behind the incident. 

 

What did we learn from the event?

 

Can we make any type of change to avoid such an incident occurring again? 

 

Whatever happened is likely not to happen again so the worry and anxiety created by the event must be dealt with head on so these emotions can be released and we can move forward in our life’s journey. 

 

Life can have unbearable events at times, but these are temporary and a steppingstone to growth if we can take the lesson and turn it around. Remind yourself that the overall conditions in lives, in most cases, are quite promising. 

 

Remember our focus is in our hands, and we choose what to hold on to and what to release even with senseless acts. We will have scars but how will we allow these scars to affect us? 

 

Will they stagnate us or catapult us to great growth?

 

We can never ignore what has taken place in our lives. Life has lessons, whatever they may be, including those that seems to be a senseless act. Learn what you can from any incident, whether we determine them to be good or bad. Do not focus on where you do not want to be; focus on where you want to be.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF KNOWING

For those of us that truly grasp and accept that our thought process creates, we must follow through on this knowing.  We are fortunate enough to have realized the apparent secrets creating our experience. Let’s make sure that we are using it to the best of our abilities.

 

It is important to go beyond just knowing this; it is imperative to live this.  We have now received information that can assist us and with this knowledge help us assist others. 

 

Take, for instance, (and I go down this road with great sensitivity) what we went through in our belief structures surrounding Covid.  There were those that believed that this was a serious virus threatening many and there are those that believe it simply was no more than a normal flu. 

 

Regardless of what you believed, as this is not what this post is about, why would you follow thoughts and beliefs that feed worry, concern, anxiety, etc.?

 

Why would you focus on the negative repercussions knowing what you know about focus?

 

You can walk any road you choose to walk. It does not matter which road you choose to focus on and follow. What does matter is how do these choice affect you? 

 

Ask yourself “did I live according to the guidelines of my beliefs or am I being swept away by my thoughts causing anxiety and worry?”

 

We all tire and slip into our heads on occasions.  Our training, however, will help us recognize this and allow the thoughts to pass by without any type of ownership. Our mind can justify anything. Our mind will justify something and then in the next thought completely denying it. Do not own your thoughts. They are fleeting. You are not your thoughts. You are the one listening to the thoughts. Be the observer!

 

We are not suggesting that you hide your head in the sand.  Live each moment as it comes. Be mindful. If your beliefs or focus cause anxiety and worry, is it your choice then to follow them and live within those emotions and confines?

 

Set yourself free. Realize the significance of knowing. Be the master of your response to the moment. Do not be the slave to your thoughts, worries and anxieties. Don’t own those thoughts.  Recognize them, acknowledge them and then let them pass on!

UNDERCOVER AGENT

Do you like to work behind the scenes and remain anonymous? 

 

Are you low key for a reason or are you just uncomfortable with publicity or acknowledgement? 

 

Do you give credit for your work to someone else because you are uncomfortable with recognition or flattery?

 

Some of us prefer solitude and not seeking the limelight.  These are likely the quiet individuals who prefer to sit back and let others do the talking.

 

Some prefer to observe and listen, taking in all that goes on around them. But some people have other reasons for sitting back in silence. Do you feel as though your input is not important or that you have nothing to offer? 

 

If you are the latter type, you will want to question where this comes from. 

 

There is nothing wrong with privacy and solitude, although on many levels, life is for sharing, even if it is only with a select few.  We certainly do not need to be in the public eye or speaking out of turn just simply because we want to be heard. Each of us does, however, have something valuable to offer and should not hold ourselves back.

 

Your insight might be the information needed by someone you can share it with, someone who has been lost or confused currently.  Do not hold yourself back because you feel insignificant or unworthy.  You do have something to offer.  Your input is important and may hold much more than you know.  Put to rest your worry and feelings of inadequacy and share your knowledge. Be a part of and a contributor to the world around you.  You might just hold the knowledge that is needed.

 

Don’t let fear eliminate your importance. Be an undercover agent when appropriate but be the voice of knowledge when fitting.

SPIRITUAL BEING IN A PHYSICAL BODY

Who are you and why have you come for this incarnation? 

 

Are you here to second guess your capabilities? 

 

Are you to live this life in fear or with regret because you weren’t sure about what it was you were supposed to be doing or because your mind convinced you that you didn’t have what it takes?

 

If you can grasp the concept of living lives prior to this one, can you go one step further to accept that you have guides and accept that you have an ingrained knowing of what is required in this life to advance and to learn? 

 

The boundaries you set limit or enhance your abilities.  This can be material advancement, after all we have chosen to come back into this material life, and/or it can be spiritual enlightenment.

 

Don’t limit yourself with beliefs of what is possible for you.  Know that you are so much more than your mortal self. What are you capable of doing in this life?

 

Do not waste precious time limiting your possibilities. You will be pleasantly surprised at what you are capable of doing in this life. After all, how much experience do you have behind you?

 

You are the only one holding you back. You hold the key to the door of expression and advancement whatever that may look like for you personally.

 

Now is the time to take that next step, without fear, without guilt or preconceived notions. Believe and build the momentum that is necessary.  One step forward and the journey begins.  Remember you are a spiritual being in a physical body.

ARE YOU A SLAVE TO YOUR THOUGHTS

Have you been experiencing a feeling of being pulled away from what used to be? 

 

You may be being asked to step forward or are being propelled forward.  The time is ripe for advancement and perhaps accomplishment on some level.

 

What are you now willing to do to advance, whatever advancement may look like for you? 

 

Do not allow setbacks to stand in your way. You can persevere and should never give up because of any challenge, big or small.

 

It may have been a while since you felt any type of momentum. You may be concerned that the time is not quite ripe.  Are you willing to take that chance and move forward anyway? 

 

Will that next step be advantageous, or will it hinder in some way? 

 

We all need to take the time to consider the consequences of our actions but at the same time, we cannot let fear rule.  Remember you are not your thoughts; you are the one listening to them.  You choose which ones to adhere to and which ones to let go of.

 

Believing in yourself is imperative. Do not get caught up in the mind’s interference past or present.  Some have been a slave to their thoughts for most of their lives. Now, however, is a great time to recognize that there will always be chatter in our minds but it is a choice whether to listen or not to listen. Take advantage of any opportunity that presents itself. Step beyond your fear! Do not be a slave to your thoughts.

 

Take advantage of the energies in place in your life right now.  You are always ready for a breakthrough if you allow it to happen. 

 

Here’s to conquering your focus, your fears and any life lesson you may be present with.
