ASPECTS FOR SUN IN ARIES 2026

We posted a short article on Sun in Aries on March 18: https://www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-aries-2026  Today, we will look at some of the aspects that will be affecting our Aria

n readers in 2026.

 

Transiting Saturn and Neptune have been in close proximity to one another for some time now.  They begin to separate into April, although still tight when the Sun moves into Aries, separated only by 3° degrees.  Towards the end of July, transiting Saturn, then at 14° into Aries, begins its retrograde cycle.  It goes from 14° back to 7° finally going into direct motion in December, 2026. 

 

Transiting Neptune will also go into its retrograde cycle beginning early July moving from 4° Aries down to 1° Aries and then moving back into its direct cycle very close to when Saturn moves into its direct motion at the end of the year.  Saturn and Neptune are in Conjunction once again but out by 6° which is far less powerful.  Energies merge but not with the intensity they were previously when the aspect was within 3°.

 

Those with their Sun within range of these degrees in the sign of Aries will be affected by the Conjunction of their Sun to Saturn and to Neptune at different periods throughout 2026 and well into 2027, with Neptune staying in Aries for about 14 years.

 

If your Sun is well aspected in the Natal chart, then both energies will assist in your ventures forward over this timeframe.  Of course, the degree of your Sun will have to be within range of these transiting planets. 

 

Those with Aries Sun in early degrees should also be pleased to find that Uranus and Pluto will also both be making Sextiles to this position of the Sun, so a potentially positive time can be expected.

 

The Sun Conjunct Saturn offers stability with reaching your goals and life objectives but not without some work.  It will not come easily but stable potential is certainly there.  This can work on an inner level as well.  You may find that you are reviewing yourself from a deeper understanding, especially when Neptune and Saturn are in conjunction with one another. 

 

If you are looking for recognition with business enterprises, Saturn can help you with this.  Your superiors may realize that you have been working hard towards goals and making progress. They may also realize that your accomplishments were not easily obtainable.  Potential promotions are in place, but other indicators in the chart would have to agree. This will be quite likely if there are other indicators especially with the MC. Remember an ongoing consistent effort is required. This will not fall into your lap.

 

Neptune is tied to higher realms and in most cases not linked to earthly type opportunities.  They are reflected in spiritual advancement, heightened enlightenment and growth and understanding in the path that leads to these.  You may receive inner guidance, or guidance from those you trust.  Following through can lead to great achievements or colossal steps forwards getting closer to your goals if your goals include enlightenment.

 

Neptune can also have to do with talents in acting, musical abilities, theater and the performing arts, including painting, and the ability to capture life in these works. 

 

Aspects to Sun in Aries 2026 can enhance inspiration, enlightenment, and earth matters that require integrity and perseverance.  Happy solar return to our Arian readers.

SUN IN ARIES 2026

On March 20, 2026, the Sun moves into the sign of Aries, which is a cardinal, fire sign. 

 

We are leaving the Sun sign of Pisces, the energy of which is to try to maintain a gentle, passive approach to life, by giving, serving and removing themselves from anything in life that could be termed aggressive. 

 

Now entering this new sun sign, Aries is a much more formidable sign, linked to courage, stamina, aggressive personal pursuits and a fiery temperament. 

 

This is not to say that all Ariens carry these traits as the rest of the chart must be studied to get a full picture of any individual. Anyone with Sun in Aries, however, will carry some of these powerful influences in their personality. 

 

Some Aries can even be rather self-centered, while others that are more advanced in their personal understanding know that before they can achieve what they set out to do even if to help others, they need to look after their own needs first.

 

As mentioned, Aries is a fire sign, meaning they are progressive, propelling themselves forward often in bold unobstructed manners, self-sufficient, energetic, forceful, often generous and giving to those they deem deserve this and they can be single-minded. 

 

Aries approach life’s circumstances with vigor, action and they are not overly concerned about making mistakes in their push for achievement as mistakes are simply lessons for moving forward. 

 

Aries individuals will stand by you when needed, but don’t cross them as they can let you go in a moment’s notice and will not look back.  They are the fighters of the Zodiac – they fight for their rights and will also fight for a cause. Many Ariens stand up for the underdog. 

 

Aries people are the first to rush in and often work towards building a business that offers little stability in the beginning, but with the right management and time and focus, they can pursue their objectives and often succeed.  They know they make mistakes but can easily rise again after a stumble or fall. 

 

Ariens will not forget a helping hand and will also not forget to repay this with plenty of assistance and advice.  They believe that they know what is best and pursue this relentlessly. 

 

Some Ariens will listen to advice, especially from those with experience, but many others can push forward because of their own personal belief in themselves.

 

Aries individuals can be counted on in most cases, but they also tend to shift direction on a moment’s notice.  They are willing to put forth the extra effort but would like to see results immediately, if possible. 

 

Patience is not their strong point and moving slowly is almost impossible. When they control their pace and learn from their mistakes, they often succeed in their endeavors.

SUN IN AQUARIUS

 The Sun will enter the sign of Aquarius on January 19, 2025.  When the Sun moves from the Cardinal, Earth sign of Capricorn into the Fixed, Air sign of Aquarius the energies should help us all to be open to the new.  Yes, it’s a New Year and some of us are ready for change. Sun in Aquarius Sun look for adventure through change. 

 

Aquarians are unique with their self-expression and understand this as being part of who they are.  Some are considered eccentric in their behavior and stand out because of this.  Their appearance, on some level, will be different from most; perhaps it’s their style of clothing, their hair style, the way they speak, or it could be that intensive look about them. Aquarians are different, and they are quite aware of this, and it does not dissuade them from being themselves.

 

Some find Aquarius individuals “out there”, while others find them quite fascinating.

 

Many Aquarians are considered ahead of their time, and this might be why they are unique in their expression.  Aquarius individuals are fixed in their opinions, although quite open to conversation and will listen to what other people’s beliefs may be.  They can fit into most groups although they enjoy conversation that runs deep.  Aquarians push for reflections and encourage questioning.

 

Aquarians are ruled by the planet Uranus, and because of this, they like to stir action, create change, awaken others to different possibilities and in general create awareness.  Uranus’ energies are impulsive, abrupt and unconventional as are most typical Aquarius individuals. You can expect the unexpected from Uranus and this holds true to the typical Aquarian unless there are strong factors within the Astrological birth chart that suggest otherwise.

 

The eleventh house is naturally ruled by Aquarius and those with their Sun or other important placements in this house may have Aquarius tendencies.  The eleventh house governs group interaction, and the typical Aquarius works well within groups, but these groups members must have similar interests.  Often an Aquarian’s interests involve humanity and the concerns of the world at large.  Aquarius wants to help and have an altruistic approach for those willing to listen to their advice. 

 

Friendship is also ruled by the eleventh house and friendship is important but, in many cases, the average Aquarian is friends to many. Some Aquarians have a hard time carrying on what they consider a frivolous conversation.  They seek deep connections and lasting friendships but are willing to walk away when they deem it necessary.  Aquarius individuals are much more concerned with the thinking process than emotional interaction, and although emotion may not be a strong point for them, they do care about others but may not show it in traditional ways.

 

Humanity and their plight are high on the mind of an Aquarian.  They want to help awaken those still asleep and genuinely wish the best for everyone.  These individuals can also seem quite aloof or unresponsive as they are not concerned with which road others take. Even though they care deeply, they understand that everyone must walk their own road. Aquarian truly believe that they are on the road that leads to deeper understanding, and they know that a shift resulting from one individual can have a profound impact on the world’s direction.  Any wave of influence can be far reaching as the ripple effect can continue its course through adversity as well as easy unrestrained engagement.

SUN IN CAPRICORN ASPECTS

The sun goes into Capricorn on December 21, 2024 and the following aspects will relate to those individuals that have their Sun in Capricorn at the corresponding degrees.  You can allow a 5–8° orb of influence. Within this range, the aspects will be in effect in your chart and will automatically strengthen as they near  the exact degree of your Capricorn Sun.  Review an ephemeris to get the exact degree and timing of the planets that we are about to speak about.

 

We will look at transiting Uranus and Saturn as they have a greater impact than any of the inner planets to this position.  The inner planets move too quickly to have any type of lasting influence, whereas the outer planets move much more slowly and will therefore have a longer and more lasting impact in your life.

 

Currently (December 2024) we see Uranus at 24° in the sign of Taurus and Saturn at 13° in the sign of Pisces.  Both contacts or aspects to Sun in Capricorn are considered positive in nature and carry with them the energies of easy flow, opportunities, change and stability.  Saturn and Uranus will be making a tight sextile to one another as well from March to September of 2025 becoming exact March and April of 2025 in and around 24/25°.  If your Sun is around these degrees (and taking into account the orb of influence), then this will be a prime time for needed change and then a stabilization period shortly thereafter.  You will likely have known that a change of direction was coming prior to this time frame.

 

From the time of this post (again December 2024), Saturn will move through the sign of Pisces entering Aries for the first time towards the end of May, 2025.  Saturn in Sextile to your Sun suggests that there may be some extra lessons that have to be undertaken with your spiritual connectedness and a stabilization period connected to these goals if this is part of your current assignment.  (The reason I use the term “assignment” is due to the fact that Saturn is known as the teacher and also the disciplinarian. Although it often indicates more duties and some testing along the way it also brings with it, using a steadfast approach, the opportunity to build a solid foundation to whatever you might be trying to implement into your life’s lesson).  This aspect is goal oriented and can also suggest changes to your path or changes coming from within.

 

During December 2024, Transiting Uranus will be at 24° Taurus moving into Gemini, which is a much more comfortable place for Uranus, in July 2025.  It moves back into Taurus in November 2025, and then will finally stay in Gemini towards the end of April 2026.

 

Uranus is making a trine to your Sun if your sun is in the later degrees of Capricorn from about 20° onward.  The trine is indicative of easy flow, good opportunities, promising outcomes through change and reorientation.  This may be a time of looking at your life’s path and making changes because where you are no longer suits your current path forward.  Change can be difficult especially when we speak of Uranus in Taurus as Taurus likes things to remain the same but Uranus’ upcoming position in Gemini will likely foster in change in a much easier manner.  Much will depend on the areas of life affected (house positions involved) and the other aspects within your natal chart.  You can expect some disruption and perhaps some of these changes might take place with little notice especially if you have been putting off what needs to take place. 

 

Sun in Capricorn aspects include Saturn and Uranus and together they will create a push and pull situation where you will want things to remain steadfast and at the same time want change.  This can be difficult, but life will take you where you need to go. Make the move before life forces it on you. The outcome can enhance your life.

SUN IN SAGITTARIUS

On November 21, 2024 the Sun moves from Scorpio (a Fixed, water sign) into Sagittarius (a Mutable, fire sign).  Sagittarius, being a Mutable sign, can mold easily to life’s situations whereas Scorpio, under most conditions, does not like change.  Sagittarius enjoys exploration and the excitement that new things can bring.  These two signs are quite different from one another.

 

Sagittarius loves wide-open spaces, and many enjoy travel especially when it comes to long distance travel.  They marvel at the experience that travel can bring and enjoy meeting new people and sharing events. 

 

Sagittarians enjoy conversation but it does not need to be overly deep; although where philosophy comes into play, they can speak their mind. This can apply to any religious inclinations or spiritual insight. 

 

Many Sagittarians are fun-loving people who generally feel good about their lives, especially when their interest is aroused.  They often have a very positive attitude and believe that even under the harshest of conditions something good lies just around the next corner.  This is due to their ruling planet, Jupiter (the planet of good luck and expansion). 

 

Many Sagittarians are considered happy-go-lucky and although they have little problem expressing themselves, at times, they may experience “foot-in-mouth” disease and wish they would have thought a little deeper before opening their mouth.  They do speak their minds, and this can at times get them into trouble.  Sagittarians usually learn from their mistakes but still seem to speak before thinking. 

 

Sagittarius individuals love the great outdoors and are often interested in sports.  If they do not play sports, they are likely avid sports spectators. 

 

Some Sagittarians may have trouble settling down and can get bored with some people.  However, a Sagittarian may need grounding and, in some cases, can get that from their significant other.  A variety of experience can mean a great deal to a Sagittarian.  This would also include, to some extent, those with a Sagittarius rising sign or those with many planets in the ninth house which is the natural ruling house of Sagittarius.

 

Those people with strong Sagittarius tendencies can be idealists, open-minded, kind and caring individuals.  Some find spirituality fascinating and want to delve deep into this side of life, preferring to learn through experience rather than from the written word.  This does not mean that schooling will not appeal to them only that they truly want the experience for themselves so they can make their own commitments or resolutions on any given subject.

2024 ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LEO

On July 17, 2024, we reviewed some of the character traits of Sun in Leo. www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-leo-2024

Today, we will look at some of the 2024 aspects for those with Sun in Leo.

 

Mercury is in retrograde from August 4 until August 27, 2024, and during this period, it will begin to influence the charts of those that have their Sun in the later degrees of Leo.  Mercury moves from Leo to Virgo on July 25 and stays in Virgo until it once again moves back into Leo on August 15 due to retrograde motion. Mercury moves from 21-29° of Leo into September and then moves back to Virgo moving forward. 

 

Anyone having their Sun in Leo from approximately 18° into its final degree will experience this conjunction of Transiting Mercury and your natal Sun.  

 

Mercury has to do with the thinking process and communicative techniques. The Sun will emphasize this capability and it will be like you know exactly what you are talking about.  This, if all else within the chart agrees, can be a great time to bring to the surface some of your ideas and goals for others to analyze, and perhaps you will receive some recognition for your enthusiasm and creative thinking. 

 

Venus moved into the sign of Leo on July 11, 2024, and will remain in Leo until August 5. Those Leonians who have Venus in conjunction with their Sun may find that their financial situation is more satisfactory, and that they can enjoy what money brings into their lives.

 

Romantic involvement may increase or become more relevant during this Venus contact. There may be more social involvement and perhaps parties or gatherings to attend.

 

The whole chart will have to correspond with the energies associated with what was just noted. The house placement will speak of where these energies will reveal themselves.  We must always look at the natal potential to fully understand the potential available as other transits will have to be configured into the equation as well. These are just short transits that will take place for our Leonian readers but these are the only ones that are noteworthy to the Sun.  There will certainly be other transits in the chart aspecting natal positions that do not affect the Sun.

 

To summarize, the 2024 aspects for Sun in Leo will emphasize the thinking process and communicative techniques and romance may become a focal point. Enjoy your social life and possible recognition for your enthusiasm and creative thinking.

SUN IN LEO 2024

On July 22, 2024, the Sun moves into the sign of Leo which is a fixed, fire sign.  Fire signs are often energetic, impulsive, and spontaneous.  They are fast-paced, enthusiastic, and concerned about their objectives.

Those with their Sun in Leo or strong placements in the sign of Leo are confident and can be rather dramatic in their actions.  Many Leonians have a playful demeanor, and their intentions are noble. Being ruled by their heart, Leo truly wants to do what is best for others.  They often feel that they know what to say or do, and they like to orchestrate what is happening.  Leonians enjoy organizing events and taking control of situations; however, they must watch for overstepping.

 

Leonians are strong-willed and stubborn with an unwillingness to shift although they can be swayed if it has been proven to them that another way is better than what they believe.

 

Many Leonians have strong egos and do not like to be wrong, or in some cases, outdone.  They are leaders.  They can adhere to authority if the leadership abilities evident to them seem cultured and matured due to experience.

 

Leo individuals can be quite charming and often bold in their actions. They are a daring and often a courageous sign.

 

Leonians wants recognition for what they do.  A pat on the back or words of encouragement goes a long way.

 

Sun in Leo individuals are charming individuals, and you will not find anyone with a bigger heart.

 

As the Sun enters Leo, Mercury and Venus are also in this same sign.  Those with their Sun in the later degrees of Leo will have the conjunction of Mercury with their Sun sign at the time this is posted. We will look at the transits affecting Leo in another post in the near future.
