NEW HORIZON

Is it time to set a new course? 

 

Perhaps it is time to let the past go and move forward, leaving behind the things that no longer suit your evolutionary path.  Perhaps you are ready, but you don’t know it, or you fear the unknown. On the contrary, you may know that you are ready and are willing to make the jump now.

 

Change is not always easy for most individuals. As a matter of fact, it can be quite difficult.  We are creatures of habit and can become comfortable even under the harshest conditions because they are familiar.  Perhaps comfort is the wrong way to describe it. Perhaps “accustomed to” or “familiar” is more appropriate.  A new year just began 14 days ago, and we are ready for a new beginning.

 

Perhaps the footings for our goals are already laid and the foundation is set and now all we need to do is work on the walls and the roof.  With the plans in place and the groundwork done, we must now advance to the next phase and continue our work.

 

Sometimes what we leave behind is unpleasant. Sometimes what we leave behind feels right but somehow, we know that it does not fit where we see ourselves in the future.  Sometimes the path is clear; sometimes it’s quite foggy. We may have no idea of where our future will take us and the uncertainty can either stimulate us or veer us off course.

 

Sometimes we must just forge ahead believing in ourselves.  Take that step and don’t worry about where that next phase will lead you because all paths lead forward.  You are ready; now you take that step to your new horizon!

CANCER FULL MOON 2025

Today, January 13, 2025, we will experience a Full Moon at 24° in the sign of Cancer. 

 

A Full Moon in its third decant of Cancer carries with it energies of Scorpio as well as strong energies linked to Cancer qualities.  So, to say the least, this Cancer Full Moon will be emotional in nature although kept secret or behind closed doors.

 

A reminder that we set our intentions during the New Moon and then harvest or reap our rewards from our efforts under the full moon. 

 

This Full Moon makes a tight sextile to Uranus which is at 23° Taurus and a distant Trine to Neptune which is at 27° Pisces.

 

This Cancer Full Moon 2025 is likely to be about family and taking care of others, mothering, and carries with it a degree of sensitivity.  Take time for deep reflection, think of what has taken place and let your intuitive instinct guide you.  Using a gentle approach because of the potential sensitive nature attached to what has been going on is essential.

 

Your perception is attuned to what has taken place and a part of you knows what the best approach is but try not to be overly protective.  Whomever is involved must learn to take responsibility for their own lives.  You want to mother and there is nothing stopping you from doing just that but too much assistance is not always the best approach.

TRANSITING SATURN SQUARE NATAL NORTH NODE

This is a challenging position because not only is Saturn making a Square to the North Node, it is also making a Square to the South Node.  The area of life affected by Saturn will depend on the house placement of your North and South Node in the natal Astrology chart. Also, you should check which house Saturn is transiting through as well as Natal Saturn’s position and the aspects to it. This will give you all the information you need when it comes to deciphering what this time might produce. 

 

If, by chance, you have Transiting Saturn also in Opposition to a another planet in your natal chart,  you now have a Grand Cross which is far more difficult than just the Squares to the Nodes. We will look at the Grand Cross at a later date.  It should be noted that a Square is most definitely a difficult aspect, but because of its intensity, it also provides enough energy to push you to work your way through the adversity.  Challenges within the chart are put in place for us to overcome and in turn gain insight and valuable information and experience.

 

The Nodes are often tied to our path ahead, the road to follow (North Node) and what we have brought with us to make this task easier (South Node).  These nodes can also represent important people that help us along the way, when activated through transits and progressions.  Saturn has to do with challenges and life lessons. Often, we find obstacles in our way of progress, and we must find our solutions to these adversity.

 

Saturn is known as the task maker and is in place to help you or hinder you in progress, but it does, through its life’s lessons, provide you with more stamina and perseverance to stay on course. 

 

Again, the North Node is tied to our path ahead and the goals we have in place to achieve, and Saturn will now make you work for these objectives. As a result, the time during this aspect will most definitely require your attention and attentiveness.  There will be stumbling blocks along the way and stress as well especially if you resist the lesson at hand, but with the right attitude and a disciplined effort, you can achieve much from this transit’s influence.

 

With Saturn square natal North Node, you will feel stifled, but with the right approach, Saturn offers stability and structure that can stand the test of time. This is certainly a challenging time, but you can achieve the goals of your life’s path.

IT’S OKAY TO BE WRONG

There are times in life when we are sure about something and then only to find out that we were mistaken.

 

It may be difficult to admit when we are wrong; but we are human, and we do and will make mistakes.  Don’t hold on to this. 

 

Some individuals unfortunately continue the debate or argument even after they realize they were mistaken.  They struggle with their ego without recognizing that it is this very thing (ego) that is tormenting them.

 

It’s important to admit that we are human and make mistakes.  This does not make us any less of a person or a failure in any way.  Admitting an error actually reflects maturity.

 

We are all human and will make mistakes or believe we are right from time to time and then find out that we were wrong. Mistakes are part of the journey. These mistakes help us to learn and grow.

 

Our ego can be quite disruptive and create arguments and difficult situations. It takes a bigger person to admit that they are wrong, as this person has learned to control their ego and accepts human error as a teacher, nothing more.

 

We can all move beyond our ego’s influence and find peace. It’s okay to be wrong!

TRANSITING SATURN SEXTILE NATAL JUPITER

The transit of Saturn often produces challenging conditions.  It indicates difficulties to overcome through life lessons and sometimes delays along the way.  Hard work is always part of the process of moving forward and nothing comes easily.  We must work for our results when Saturn is involved.

 

Saturn restricts and delays while Jupiter expands and brings opportunities into play.  Under most conditions, Saturn will cause hardships but when connected to Jupiter unless there are other mitigating factors in the chart suggesting otherwise, you will still have to work for your results but there are likely opportunities in place that create easier flow and growth over an extended period of time.

 

The sextile suggests opportunity and Jupiter opens the door for growth and fortunate conditions along the way.  Things may work better than anticipated and the opportunity for expansion is enhanced.  Much will depend on the houses involved and the aspects in the natal chart to Jupiter and Saturn.

 

If both planets are virtually unaspected then the potential for something solid and foundational is in place.  If either one of these planets is under stress and the rest of the chart by transit and progression suggests something similar, you will have to work hard for the results you are pushing for.  You may not reach the desired conclusion, but the outcome will still likely be beneficial. 

 

If something within the chart is very challenged and has been for some time now, this sextile may expand things and make things worse although the final outcome may seem challenging but it likely will be the best outcome in the long haul.

 

If the chart is not under any stress, working hard towards your goals is suggested and the results may be magnificent.

 

Saturn sextile natal Jupiter requires work but in the long run the outcome is likely quite beneficiary.  Work towards a goal but build a good foundation for it as you must use these energies wisely.

THE DESTROYER OF PEACE

We can’t emphasize enough the impact of our attitude on our life’s experience.  Life happens (both hard and heart-filled lessons) no exceptions.  Challenging lessons present themselves from time to time, and we can’t ignore them or persuade them to just disappear.  They are part of our life, and we must learn the lesson and deal with them accordingly. This is how we grow and mature.

 

We live in our own corner of the world within our family unit. This family unit may be blood related or a chosen family of friends.  We are influenced by what goes on around us and for some individuals, this influence can be overwhelming at times.  Then on top of what we are surrounded by, we have our own internal struggles. Some individuals cannot admit to these struggles or talk openly about them and others are quite open to sharing their emotional struggles. 

 

Our minds race back and forth each day making judgements and analyzing all that we are experiencing.  It would be interesting to see how many contradictory thoughts we experience in a day, never mind a year or a lifetime. 

 

Our mind will tell us whatever is convenient and productive to its thinking in the moment. There is constant and continual mental dialog. For many of us, because our mind has control over us, for every action and thought there is also a reaction. This is why we should continually remind ourselves that we are not our thoughts. We are the spectators listening to them. As a result, we can choose which thoughts to act upon and which ones we can allow to pass us by without owning them or reacting to them.

 

We can be swept away by life events from time to time. We tire because we are human, and humans make mistakes. These mistakes, however, are valuable learning tools.  We cannot change things once they have happened (such as our reactions) but we can regain control once we recognize our reaction and move forward accordingly. The lesson is to keep going and each time an event happens, your reactions will be less and less until one day, you can stop the reaction before it takes place.  

 

Life is in your hands; it always has been. 

 

Reaction, instead of controlled response, is a destroyer of our peace. Will you start taking responsibility? Don’t be swept away by your mind’s chatter. Be the spectator to its babbling. Choose what to own and what to acknowledge and release.
