PROGRESS STIFLED

At times our efforts seem less than adequate and this is frustrating.  We struggle and may feel like giving up. As the struggles continue, our drive and confidence can wither.

 

Reminder yourself that these times are temporary and the energies will shift. During these time when we feel we cannot accomplish much physically, we can utilize this time to review, contemplate and plan.  We just need to accept that it is not the time to advance or move forward.  We likely are not ready, even though we feel as though we are. Rest your mind, body and soul while you can as when the energies shift, it likely will be eventful.

 

All things in life have their seasons. If the time is not right, be aware of it and utilize your time effectively.  It may be to rest; it may be to learn more, or it may be simply that the timing is not right. It is what it is, but it certainly is not progress stifled!

ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LIBRA 2025

In the upcoming year we have quite the configuration forming between transiting Pluto, transiting Uranus and those with their Sun in Libra especially in and around 4° Libra.  These three will form a Grand Air Trine. 

 

Transiting Neptune will also form an Opposition for those with their Sun in Libra around 4° as well.  The time frame involved in 2026 will be especially strong.

 

As a side note, from July, 2025 and particularly strong through August and September, this same formation is in force, also adding the energies of Saturn which will be conjunct transiting Neptune at 1° in the sign of Aries.  Although we are generally just referring to those with their Sun in Libra, there will also be a powerful impact for those with their Sun in other positions in the early degrees.  This alignment is strong in the first degrees of any sign of the Zodiac.  An experienced Astrologer can assist in putting together the particulars of this impact in your chart in particular.

 

To refocus on Libra aspects, the Grand Air Trines suggest powerful influences affecting interaction between individuals.  The mind is quite active, and the Grand Trine is also set off by the Oppositions coming from Saturn and Neptune especially in the late summer of 2025.  Mental processing is high on the agenda. 

 

There will also be a high level of confusion along with challenges due to the influence of these two planets forming the Oppositions. This suggests that the difficulties will certainly involve others, especially the relationships that are considered of extreme importance. 

 

The Grand Trine speaks of transformational pressures and changes to unfold for those under this influence.  This is a time for change at the highest levels, and it will be up to those under this influence to figure out which way they should be moving forward. Something must be left behind for the next requirement of advancement to take hold. As mentioned, this is about the thinking process, and much evaluation will be in place along with a degree of confusion about stability and structure.  Neptune, being the planet highly attuned to the mystical, suggests that meditation and opening up to the higher forces can assist with this highly challenging period.

 

This strongly affects those with their Sun in the early degrees of Libra and as time moves forward, they will feel the energies easing off as these powerful influences begin losing their strength.  This usually takes place when these planets are 2° past being direct. They can expect a powerful influence in their life while these aspects are direct. 

 

Saturn will move out of influence in April/May, 2026 releasing some of its challenging energies and life lessons to a degree but there will still be a high degree of uncertainty. Things may be vague or misunderstanding will be in place while Neptune is being an influence.

 

This may not be a clear period of time with these aspects for Sun in Libra 2025 but it is a transformational period and issues will be less vague as time passes.

SUN IN LIBRA SEPTEMBER 22/2025

On September 22, 2025, the Sun moves from Virgo, a Mutable, Earth sign into Libra, a Cardinal, Air sign.  (As a side note, there are three modalities in Astrology: Cardinal, Mutable and Fixed. They represent action and addressing situations with a degree of confidence and the potential of success because of the actions we have or have not taken.) 

 

Sun in Libra is concerned with honesty and fairness and can be quite diplomatic while attempting to address situations.  They look for balance and harmony especially when it comes to important relationships, primarily the marriage partner, although this stretches out into other relationships as well.  (The other Cardinal signs: Aries Cancer and Capricorn, may or may not incorporate some of these qualities.  Each Cardinal Sign has its own characteristics, but all maintain action and a degree of confidence in their objectives.)

 

Libra seeks peace at almost any cost and has been known to sit on the fence to find a resolution to any conflict situation.  They do not like to argue but will speak their mind especially when defending or protecting others.  Many Librans will stand up for the underdog.  Their objectives in life are to have justice, and they would make excellent mediators, judges, and conflict revolutionaries.  They see all sides of situations and will work tirelessly to find solutions to problems affecting others.

 

Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and affection.  Partnership is important to the typical Libran and many feel whole only after they find a suitable mate.  They can be picky, and most Libra individuals are attractive, like to look after their physique, are appealing and can be quite cordial.  Many love what is referred to as the nicer things in life, like a home with furnishings that suggest affluence, a nice comfortable vehicle and the feeling of not doing without.

LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS

It seems long term relationships are far and few between. 

 

During the course of a committed relationship, marriage or otherwise, there will be challenges.  The newness of a relationship only lasts so long and then wears off. The excitement begins to settle, and then the true “getting to know each other” actually begins. We become more comfortable in the relationship and our deeper personality traits now surface. This can be unsettling in some cases, and we can let little insignificant or large surprising traits irritate us.

 

We learn to adapt and accept our differences, or we can challenge and stress over these differences to the point that they may be deal breakers.

 

Some individuals will learn to adapt and are willing to make changes to themselves, while others may refuse to make any changes as they feel they should not have to change for someone else. 

 

In relationships, we cannot expect someone to change to suit us. We can only make changes ourselves, either in character, circumstance or attitude.

 

This can be where some relationships crumble while others gain momentum. At this point, due to acceptance some relationships actually become stronger as love, hard work and acceptance are the backbone of a relationship. There will always be times when the relationship experiences difficulties. The outside world influences everything it touches but if we recognize that the source of irritation is from outside the relationship, the bond can deepen.

 

For those individuals currently going through one of these phases, recognize that in most cases, a slight change of attitude can make a world of difference.  Acceptance, compassion and support for one another is essential. Most irritants are temporary. Remind yourself to review the circumstances and look at the influence of the events around you.  Illness, family, world situations, finances, worry, fear, anxiety and attitude must be taken into consideration.  These can have profound consequences on relationships. 

 

After reviewing outside circumstances, you likely will come to realize that your relationship is good but other parts of life may need some adjustments.

 

For those that are experiencing difficulties in their relationship and have been for some time, be sure to have clear communication. Seek counselling as a professional can offer advice that you may not have thought about. 

 

Long term relationships take hard work, perseverance, love and compassion. Do not let the stress of outside influences affect your relationships. Do the work needed. Your well-being and the well-being of your relationship is worth it!

NEPTUNE CONJUNCT NATAL SOUTH NODE

If you have transiting Neptune in Opposition to your Natal North Node, it will also be Conjunct your Natal South Node’s position.  The Conjunction is more powerful than the Opposition, therefore, we will focus on Neptune and the South Node. 

 

It should be noted, however, that the Oppositions, however, always have something to do with other people, and in this case, it’s quite possible that they are interfering with your path forward.

 

The South Node has energies similar to Saturn and having the South Node Conjunct Neptune suggests that there is a degree of uncertainty and things are unclear about the path forward.  The house placements will define the area of life involved. 

 

Neptune tends to cloud things when in challenging aspect.  Perhaps, you feel as though you are to blame for a recent issue in life, or alternatively, you may feel that someone else is the problem and they are making things difficult.  In most cases, it would be wise to reconsider and to take some responsibility although at the same time not to take total responsibility because likely the other individual is quite involved in what is going on too.

 

Currently (September 2025), Neptune and Saturn are in proximity to each other.  This in itself suggests a problem with distinguishing between what is real and what is not real.  You may have your eyes closed because what is taking hold is quite challenging and you may not want to see things as they are.  Perhaps you may feel that things will likely clear up over time and you may very well be right, but you cannot “hide your head in the sand” even if this is the case.  Be realistic and don’t worry where you don’t need to. Beware of exaggerating things in your head under these conditions. It is never a good idea to worry about possibilities.  See things as they truly are. It is best not to let your mind run wild.

 

Under these conditions, if you were to use these energies in an appropriate manner, you can intuitively know what is unfolding and ask for assistance from someone you trust to tell you the truth no matter what it may be.  Your intuition is strong now, but imagination can play a part. You must find out for sure what is imagined and what is real. 

 

As Saturn moves out of orb, there may still be some difficulties lingering until the South Node is no longer in orb as well.

 

Neptune conjunct natal South Node suggests uncertainty. When challenged, Neptune can cloud matters as well. Intuition will be strong under this aspect but ensure imagination is not influencing you.

JUPITER SQUARE NATAL ASCENDANT

Before we go into details with Jupiter square natal Ascendant, we should share that this positioning of Jupiter squaring the Ascendant is highly influenced by the condition of your Natal Ascendant by aspects from other natal positions, as well as aspects coming from other transits. This must be taken into consideration when assessing our aspect focus today.

 

Jupiter expands on things.  In most cases, even when it is making a Square which is considered a challenging aspect, Jupiter still expands energies and can bring things to a head.  Jupiter’s natural tendency is to bring good fortune, favorable conditions, and opportunities.  Even with the Square aspect, this holds true, although not without some work or challenges.  Perhaps the road to success is somehow blocked and there are hurtles to overcome before reaching the desired results.  Perhaps the result is not quite what you had wished for but is still favorable. 

 

Because we are referring to the Ascendant, what unfolds is often personal but also out in the open for the public to see.  It will be “out front” and obvious.  This may have something to do with relationships, work, life’s objectives, etc. Much will depend on the houses involved. Look not only at transiting Jupiter’s placement but also at its Natal position by house and aspect. This will give a clearer picture of the potential outcome of Jupiter’s square to the natal ascendant.

 

The Ascendant can also deal with health and if, for example, the Sun, the sixth or twelfth houses are part of the connection, health will be involved.  If, for example, someone has been seriously ill for some time, this square aspect might indicate an end to the suffering. 

 

It should be noted that health, or any other indicators for that matter, must be suggested in more than one place in the chart while reading the transits.  For something to have the energy to unfolding and have a real effect on life, we need at least three different positions suggesting something of a similar nature before we consider the energies as a solid possibility.

 

Another example could be if perhaps you are traveling under this aspect. You may run into some unexpected difficulties especially if Uranus is part of the picture, but things will usually work out fine after the difficulties have been dealt with.

 

Having a look at the ruling planet of your Ascendant will also provide indicators. (For example, if Scorpio is rising, Pluto is the ruling planet. Look to confirm if Pluto is providing some same indicators during the same time frame by transits or progressed positions. 

 

With Jupiter square natal Ascendant, the outcome is likely to be favorable, although not without effort.  Growth, expansion and perhaps lessons learned that are obvious to everyone around you might be part of this period.
