VIRGO FULL MOON

The Full Moon on February 24 @ 7:30 a.m. EST is in the sign of Virgo at 5°.

A full moon is the climax of all the preparation and hard work you put into your specific goal.  It is the harvest of your hard work, and the rewards received likely reflect the amount of effort that was put into your goals. Now your rewards will be illuminated.

Much will depend on what your energies have been dedicated to.  Is it relationships, work, personal enterprise, home or family, your reputation, status or does it deal with security?  The area where the energies are flowing will be identified by the houses involved in the aspects (e.g. Sun opposition Moon) at hand.

A full moon is the climax of all the preparation and hard work you put into your specific goal. It is the harvest of your hard work, and the rewards received likely reflect the amount of effort that was put into your goals. Now your rewards will be illuminated.
The Full Moon occurs when, as mentioned, the Sun and Moon are in direct opposition with one another, and opposition aspects often incorporate other people into the equation.  How have others impacted the outcome of what lies before you now?

Has there been interference by them or have others paved the way towards a successful conclusion?

Virgo (Moon’s sign) is all about having everything in its proper place.  Being prepared and wanting everything to be as near perfect as possible.  Virgo also sees all the little flaws in things and will do their utmost to make sure that the final product is without flaws.

In general, nothing is perfect, so it is important not to be too rigid with your thoughts on perfection.

You can be the coordinator, the regulator, the orchestrator and can also take the pat on the back because of what you have done or in contrast take responsibility for the shortcomings that might be in place and learn from the combination of your effort and your outcome.

Transiting Venus and Mars will be in conjunction with one another at this time and making a quincunx to the placement of the Full Moon in Virgo.  Venus and Mars in Aquarius at 8-9° are on the outside looking in but might still be having an impact.  (The normal orb of influence is 3°).

Together Venus and Mars can speak of a love interest and the quincunx speaks of adjustment.  It can have something to do with finances, the desire to address these issues, and adjustments will be needed in these areas. Security on some level (positive or negative) can also be affected.  Because the orb is not tight, this might not be overly influential, however.

Enjoy the energies of this Virgo full moon (also known as the Snow Moon).

SUN IN PISCES TRANSITS 2024

This post applies particularly to those with their Sun in the sign of Pisces during 2024. However, it also applies to those with their Ascendant in Pisces.

When speaking of the Sun in Pisces, these transits will affect the overall life path and goals, along with inner personal changes or new directions taking hold.

Those with the Ascendant in Pisces will find that these transits affect them in ways that others notice, external changes, and sometimes reflected also within relationships, personal appearance, and the way they represent themselves to the world.

Saturn and Neptune are making conjunctions to the Sun in Pisces
There are two planets (Saturn and Neptune) that are making conjunctions to these two Piscean placements.  I should also mention that any planets in the sign of Pisces or any important angles (ASC, DC, MC and IC) with Pisces on the cusps will also be affected by the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune to these placements; however the influence will differ.  Each angle has its own description and each planet its own energies.

Saturn currently (February 2024) is around 8–9°of Pisces. As the sign Pisces is very receptive to the vibrations of life, there may be feelings of a slowdown or some obstacles that need to be rectified.  Those influenced by Saturn may feel that they have to work harder than normal to accomplish tasks and there may be (for those so inclined) a holdback and reality check on anything related to the mystical side of life.  These individuals won’t take things for granted and will weigh out all their options before they plunge into these realms of existence.  They may question the validity of what is in place and want proof on some level before they continue ahead on their journey into the spiritual side of life.

Saturn can delay progress but only because each “t” has to be crossed and every “I” must be dotted.  Saturn makes us have a good long look at our perspective and may even make us somewhat dismayed at times.  It can create worry and anxiety but over time, and with work, it builds solid foundations.

Neptune on the other hand is quite at home in its own sign of Pisces.  Currently Neptune is at 26° of Pisces and will remain in the later degrees of Pisces until the spring of 2025 when it moves into Aries.  Neptune is often tied to the awakening of spiritual forces and creative abilities.  It opens the door through meditations practice and other agents similar in nature.  For those that are so inclined with this influence, the path may open under this aspect but make sure what you see is in fact reliable and not a vague identification of something that you might imagine to be true.

For those leaning towards music and the arts, these doors can open as well, especially if the twelfth and/or fifth houses are part of the story.

Neptune is mystical, magical, and inspirational and can be the orchestrator of great strides in these areas.

Giving without measure is part of the process and feeling your way through at this time rather than thinking things out would be suggested.

Happy solar return to our Piscean followers!

COMMITMENTS

We have recently touched on the important of keeping our promises.  This topic has been brought up quite regularly of late.  So, we will continue.

How do you feel when someone promises something and then does not follow through with what they promised?

Our own feelings and experiences help us to understand just how important it is to adhere to our commitments.  We know through experience just how it feels to be on the receiving end of this issue (or should I say “not receiving” end).

If you make a commitment, it is imperative to stick to it. Your word is important. If you don’t follow through, your word starts to lose its value and validity.
If you make a promise, it is imperative to stick to it.  Your word is important. If you don’t follow through, your word starts to lose its value and validity.  Don’t make a promise unless you are able to follow through.

Sometimes we speak without forethought and say things without thinking about the consequences if we do not do what we promised.

Most people are not in the habit of making promises they do not intend to keep. In most cases, the promise comes from the heart and is made with good intentions, but intensions are just that, not viable outcomes, just intensions.

Next time you are ready to make a commitment, be sure that you can and will follow through.  A moment of contemplation can be invaluable for both you and those you are dealing with.

Intensions are good, but can you follow through?

SUN IN PISCES FEBRUARY 18, 2024

On February 18, 2024, the Sun moves from the fixed air sign of Aquarius into the mutable water sign of Pisces.  This signifies quite the change as some Astrologers define Pisces as the final stages of development and that we will begin again on a new page of development continuing from what we have achieved and been taught during the last stage voyage through the Zodiac.

Sun in Pisces do not like adversity & are very compassionate and gentle individuals. They are deeply concerned with the underdog & can sacrifice their own needs to assist those in dire straits.
Pisceans, in general, do not like adversity and are very compassionate and gentle individuals.  They have a dreamy, sensitive aura about them and are often quite service oriented.  They are deeply concerned with the underdog, and many will sacrifice their own needs to assist those in dire straits.

Pisceans can do well as counsellors, working in the fields of psychiatry and/or working in group homes with those that need their gentle approach to life.

Because of their desire to avoid adversity, at almost all costs, they have been known to find escape in drugs and alcohol.  Because of this experience, they would do well as counsellors in these fields.  No one knows better and is more suited to helping than someone who has been there.  In some way, they want to help save those in need and will go out of their way to provide support.

Many have mystical tendencies and psychic and intuitive perception, and they believe there is more to life than what we see on the surface.  This of course does not apply to every Pisces individual, but a great many have these abilities, whether latent or developed.

Pisceans’ imaginations run deep, and many experience prophetic dreams and visions that are beyond considered normal.

Pisces’ ruling planet is Neptune, which is the planet of illumination, inspiration, vagueness and in some cases lacks clarity.  The average Pisces will learn through life’s experience to overcome their sizable imagination and use it in such a way that it has the potential to open the door to illumination.  Mediation is key to opening this door to the spiritual side of life.

We will publish a post on the Transits of Sun in Pisces soon.

DID YOU MAKE A MISTAKE?

We have to learn to admit our shortcomings.  It may not be easy to acknowledge that we did something wrong as our ego often gets in the way, but if we are honest with ourselves and we don’t allow ego to get in the way, it is necessary to admit we are human. We can and do make mistakes.  There is not much wrong with honest mistakes, but it becomes more concerning when we do not care to take responsibility.

Perhaps someone was hurt because of what we did or didn’t do. Perhaps by defending our mistake or not acknowledging that we made one, the hurt felt by others can go even deeper.  Perhaps it goes beyond the individual we upset or offended and reaches out into the community and we get a reputation for doing what would not own up to doing.

Don’t let ego stop you from being you! Take a deep breath, own your mistake, apologize and move forward.

A mistake can affect more than our emotions. It might reflect in our public image that we may have worked so hard to develop and now others may look at us from a different perspective.

It is not always easy to admit to a mistake, but it is necessary not only because of the potential fallout but because it is what needs to be done for you and your peace of mind.

If we review what took place and are honest with ourselves, we know instinctively what needs to be done.  There is no bad intent with a mistake.  We just weren’t thinking. Perhaps it was due to lack of knowledge, an automatic reaction, etc.

Sometimes we are justified by what we have done (but in this case, it is not an error but a lack of good judgement).

In most cases, a mistake is not as big as we may think and did not have the impact that you thought it might have had. Yet, in other cases, the consequences of our mistake run deep. Without admitting our mistakes and apologizing for them, we can create even more pain for those involved.

Don’t let ego stop you from being you! Take a deep breath, own your mistake, apologize and move forward.

TRANSITING URANUS SQUARE NATAL JUPITER

Currently (February 2024) Uranus is moving through Taurus and will remain in Taurus until April 2026.  The square from Uranus will affect those with their Jupiter in Aquarius and Leo.  Currently Uranus is at 19 ° Taurus and will affect those with their Jupiter within range of this degree and as it advances, it will affect those with the later degrees of Jupiter in one of these two signs.

Much good can come from Uranus square Jupiter but not without some form of challenge to learn from.
Uranus disrupts the current conditions in life which have become redundant and needs change.  It can act on impulse but quite often we get indicators that something needs revamping as it no longer works as it should.  These can be all kinds of circumstances which will be defined clearly by the house placement of transiting Uranus and natal positionings of Jupiter and Uranus in the birth chart.

Uranus will create conditions so that you can break free and start anew.  Sometimes all that is needed is a change of direction in part or a re-evaluation of what is now in place so you can make adjustments.  Uranus is not like Pluto; Pluto requires total change while Uranus asks us to look first then adjust.  Sometimes these adjustments are total but often just reframing what is in place is enough to move in a new direction.

Uranus is known as the awakener, and this is what it does.  It makes us aware of deficiencies within the framework of our lives and asks us to adjust.  Sometimes we get pushes along the path and if we do not make the required alterations then Uranus can act in a quite overwhelming manner.  These changes are necessary, however, and over the next year or so we will understand why things happened as they did or why we made the moves we made.

Squares are irritating enough that they push us into action.  Transiting Uranus, for example, might be sitting on the MC affecting our career or life path.  It can change our direction or make changes to the way we live our life if it is associated with the Ascendant.  It can change direction or make changes to our marriage or a business partnership if it is connected to the seventh house, the home environment and family members if connected to the IC and the list goes on.  Finances are subject to change if the second house is involved, and communication will be adjusted if the third house is part of the picture.

If Uranus is in square to your Jupiter, then you can expect things to change in new directions with your religious inclinations, with your outlook on life, with your life philosophies.  Perhaps you feel the urge to travel or enhance your schooling and although the challenge might come with some adversity, your potential for growth and expansion, along with viable results, are possible if you follow through.

Much good can come from this alignment but not without some form of challenge to learn from.

SATURN TRINE NATAL MIDHEAVEN

We will focus on Transiting Saturn trine the Natal Midheaven (MC) in a chart.

With Saturn trines the MC in our chart, we work to establish a good foundation with our career, career, goals, aspirations and life status
Saturn, even in trine to another planet or angle, still suggests some challenges although this is usually indicative of hard work and being disciplined in your endeavor.  The outcome, however, offered up by the trine is usually more positive, bringing with it more staying power and the construction of a solid foundation for what you are trying to accomplish.

When we are speaking of the MC or Midheaven in Astrology, this is often linked to career, goals, aspirations and life status.  In many cases, when a positive influence is connected to the MC, you often get recognition for your efforts.  In some cases, this can lead to being published, especially if the ninth house is also part of the profile or being noticed by the public.  Much will depend on the enterprise that we are speaking about.

If this is your career we are talking about, you may find that your superiors have now come to the realization that you are important to their success, and you may now receive some acknowledgement for your efforts.  If this is your own business, although hard work and potential slow progress might be indicated, the outcome looks promising especially if other indicators are telling the same story in your chart.  Don’t forget you need at least three aspects in the chart pointing in the same direction for something to manifest and become noticed.  Without this, the opportunity may slip by with only minor notice or effect.

If this has to do with life status and the seventh house or fifth house to a lessor degree are also part of the profile, perhaps you are now ready to move a relationship to the next level.  Marriage is possible and an elevated status may come because of this.  Now there are two of you making your mark in the world in your own way.

If Pluto is also crossing the Ascendant or making a positive aspect, this may assist in what unfolds or if Pluto is being challenged, perhaps some ego intervention or power struggles might be indicated.  Much depends on the whole picture.

For those with a good Astrological understanding, I would like to emphasize that because of the delaying effects of Saturn, you must give your MC position a 2° orb after it is direct for this positioning to have an impact in your chart. For example, if you have your MC at 23°Libra when Saturn makes its trine, it will have to be 2° past being direct so at 25° either Aquarius or Gemini.  You may have some minor impact around the direct degree but 2° after is usually when the impact is the strongest.  If you have other indicators in your chart, this degree may be slightly off.  An example of this might be using the same delineation of 23° Libra as your MC and transiting Pluto was at the 23° and Transiting Uranus was also at the 23°.  I use Uranus because it is often a timer in Astrology.
