SUN IN CAPRICORN TRANSITS

In this post we will be discussing those who have their Sun in the sign of Capricorn and have transiting Uranus in trine and Neptune sextile to their Sun.  Neptune is in the later degrees of Pisces (25° at this time), while Uranus goes direct on January 26, 2024, at 19°.  Both planets will be in direct motion into the later stages of January 2024 although Neptune is direct when we discuss these interchanges taking hold.

 Both the trine and the sextile aspects are considered positive in nature.  Both planets relate to insight and clarity while in direct motion.  Neptune can be a little foggy at times depending on its connectedness with the rest of the chart but is usually considered insightful under all conditions due to its connection with the psychic realm.

 Uranus in trine to the Sun (19° and moving forward) suggests that the timing is ripe for change and new beginnings when connected to who you are and the path ahead.  This can include your objectives and in some cases what you wish to change on a personal level.  Who you are and the way you react to life may take shape now, and you can be ready for the unexpected in positive terms under these influences.  You may wish to change jobs or the path you are on in a completely new direction.  This new direction may be one that was not considered just a short while ago, although in the recent past you may have had inclinations that things needed to change. You may have felt that life was becoming stagnant, and a change was necessary.  This may come as a surprise to others and this move is normally not like you, as you like the tried and tested and wish for things not to change.

 

Uranus is known as the awakener and makes you aware of a change requirement so that you can move in the appropriate direction.  Neptune on the other hand, which is in the late degrees of Pisces, will form a tight bond with Transiting Uranus towards the end of the summer and into the fall of 2024.  Neptune will move into its retrograde cycle at 29° Pisces on or about October 24, 2024, and form a tight sextile with transiting Uranus. They will both make aspects to anyone with their Sun in the later degrees of Capricorn at this time. 

 

While Neptune is in its retrograde cycle, if you are planning on making important changes to your life and paths direction, things may be a little unclear under this energy.  You should, if at all possible, make significant changes before this time to get the most out of what you have in place.

 

Neptune can open doors to discovery and the psychic side, and intuitive understanding may be primed before Neptune goes retrograde.  Look for insight into the psychic realm if this is your inclination and be ready for prophetic dreams under this influence. 

 

Uranus can open doors and Neptune can provide the needed insight to comprehend what is taking hold in life.  This can be a gateway to learning about your own capabilities through the channeling of these two giants in Astrology.

DECEMBER 2023 CANCER FULL MOON

The Full Moon on December 26, 2023, is in the sign of Cancer at 4°. Anyone with a planet or angle conjunct, in opposition or square to this position will be noticeably influenced by the energies of this placement. 

 

This Full Moon is the culmination phase or final stages of what began some six months earlier when the New Moon was in Cancer.  The Full Moon phase is a time of reaping the rewards for our hard work and diligent efforts, or it is a time of letting go of unfinished business or of issues that are no longer suitable for you.  This can involve a relationship of significance, or it can evolve around your home when the moon is in Cancer.

 

This is an emotionally delicate time and those that are more “feeling” individuals can be quite sensitive to what is taking place.  This does not imply that this is a challenging time, although it can be for some again due to “feeling” things rather than those that rely on their intellect in life. 

 

If this Full Moon influences your chart, your senses are heightened, and you can become attached or influenced deeply with what is unfolding.  Perhaps decision making is now part of the focus, and this may involve a family member. This would be particularly so if perhaps Mercury is part of the picture, or the third house is involved.  Much will depend on the houses involved in your chart as this will be the area of life being influenced.

 

The energies from other transiting planets may reinforce this energy in positive ways, but once again, you must look at your personal chart to get a clear picture.  This positive influence is in force because Jupiter is making a sextile to the Cancer Full Moon’s placement.  Sextiles represent opportunities and although something may fall into your lap, you will still need to take action, or this opportunity could slip through your fingers.

 

The Moon and Saturn during their transiting time are also making a Trine offering stability in what you are attempting to move towards or what you have put in place.  If, for example, things do not look overly favorable or the outcome does not look promising, perhaps you will have to pick up the pieces and start over again as a new path presents itself to you.  Saturn can indicate hard work and some obstacles to overcome but the trine aspect offers stability and structure over time if you put in the work required.  Saturn always pays dividends when we do what needs to be done.

OUR MIND CAN TELL US ANYTHING

Many of us live our lives in worry and fear and are drawn in by thoughts of failure, not being good enough, not living up to our own expectations or the expectations of others, or any other way of thinking that diminishes our value and our life’s experience. 

 

Recognize that you are not your thoughts; you are the one listening to your thoughts.  Our mind can tell us anything. Our mind can change the story over and over in a blink of an eye. You can either get caught up in the stories, or you can take what is relevant and use it for the benefit of your overall development and experience.

 This is not to say that by ignoring our mind’s chatter that we can escape our life’s lessons and circumstances. Life happens but we can choose how we respond to lessons and circumstances. We can allow them to rule our waking moments (and dreams for that matter), or we can rise above these invasive, non-productive thoughts simply by acknowledging them and then releasing them.

 

We do not have to be captives of our thought patterns. Recognizing these thoughts and where they are leading you is the first step to changing your focus or perspective.  Your life experience is truly all about perspective.  Your thoughts are something you experience but they are not you.

 

Take safety measures to remind yourself that you are only the listener. You decide if you hold on to the message or let it go.  Life happens but you are in control of your reaction and your focus. Change your attitude (focus), change your life.

SUN IN CAPRICORN 2023

Those with their Sun in the sign of Capricorn, which is a Cardinal, Earth sign, are known to be hard working individuals.  They have their minds set on reaching their highest potential which must incorporate lessons about responsibility and their obligations not only to themselves but also to others.  They are the realists of the Zodiac, and with their commitment and drive, they are often able to reach their objectives in life.

 

Material goals are often a big part of their priorities, and they are concerned with tangible results rewarded through diligent effort and consistent work ethics. These individuals can be overly intent to achieve, almost regardless of any intrusion along the way.  They plan on reaching that summit whatever it may be and learn lessons of patience which is acquired through endurance and effort.  They use the resources at their disposal and do the best they can with these available resources whatever they may be.

 

The Sun has to do with our inner essence, who we are at our core and our individuality which separates us from others, although in the big scheme of things, we are all joined together in the realm of humanity and share what we exude in our outward expression.  The Sun also has to do with our goals and objectives and the road we walk in this life.  It explains clearly what the motivating factors are in our personal experience and why we feel the urgency to move in any particular direction.  Of course, there is much more but this is what our Sun sign highlights.

Capricorn’s ruling planet is Saturn, which is known as the teacher and disciplinarian of the Zodiac.  It has lessons that will be taught throughout life, and the road that we walk connected to Saturn’s energies is often not an easy one.  Life for the typical Capricorn does not come easy although they do not often show this on the surface.  They learn about perseverance and organization through structured effort and building things that are meant to last.  They know that there is no easy route when reaching their objectives and learn patience. They understand that it takes time to reach the summit. 

 

It may take many years for a Capricornian to reach their objectives and later in life, they will finally learn to relax into life without wanting to achieve more.

 

They have a great sense of humor although rather dry.  Some can get caught up in what they refer to as their failures, and this can be humiliating and squash their ego.  Achievement is prime and they truly wish to attain status, and a life of fulfillment and recognition is important for some but not for all.  Inner recognition for their effort is more important and what comes from their effort is important but not everything.

We are focusing on Transiting Pluto trine Natal Jupiter

 

This is a very powerful aspect which may take time to unfold in your life due to the slow movement of Transiting Pluto. T. Pluto may take as long as 2-3 years for its energies to unfold to their full potential.

 

The energies from T. Pluto trine Natal Jupiter is about regeneration and if you have had struggles in the recent past perhaps because of a death or a shift in life, this is the time for perseverance and a desire to make significant changes to the way you view your life’s journey.  It may start as an unconscious urge which seems very optimistic, and you may feel regenerated and even ambitious. PLUTO TRINE NATAL MIDHEAVEN

We are focusing on Transiting Pluto Trine the Natal Midheaven.

 

Pluto, the agent of transformation and creator of regeneration through acts of transformation suggests that now is the time for constructive and easy flow generated into the area of career, goals, and aspirations that in some way might bring gains with insight and opportunities in these areas.

 

This is a good time to make constructive changes to the career and to push forward to make significant changes where needed.

 

Trine aspects indicate easy flow, positive energies, and productive, beneficial outcomes because of actions you take now. There will be a general feeling that things might unfold well over time, but the willingness to advance and push ahead might not be overwhelming. You may feel as though the energies will push themselves and you just might be right, but you will miss an important opportunity if you just sit and let these energies pass you by without putting forth some type of effort.

 

Pluto will probably bring an end to things that no longer are suitable for life moving forward and changes are evident, if not most likely. DECISIVE ACTION

Sometimes life just seems to happen, and we are forced to make quick decisions or act on impulse.  Other times we seem to have time to figure out an action plan but find it difficult to make up our minds on which route to take.  Our decisions can have long lasting consequences and if we make the wrong decision, then what? 

 

Sometimes we know exactly what must be done but are not sure what our first step should be and when to take it.

 

At times, it is not easy taking decisive action. Fear can freeze us in our tracks.  What if we make a mistake?

 

Making mistakes is human but are they really mistakes? 

 

Were events meant to go the way they did? 

 

If they were meant to be, then that was the best lesson for us at the time. These things we think of as mistakes usually take us exactly where we need to go.  By taking no action, we may stagnate.

 

By waiting for the perfect time, we may miss the opportunity.  What is the perfect time?

 

This is not to say that we shouldn’t take the time to plan or that we should rush into things because we may never have that chance again. There are times when the time is ripe for action and times when we need to reconsider. 

 

No matter what the situation, we cannot let fear stand in the way of progress.  Have faith in your convictions and make changes when changes are due.

 

Make your decision based on the best information available to you at the moment.  Sometimes you have to decide based on your best interests and sometimes based on being able to help someone else.  You cannot however base your decisions to be a “people pleaser”.   

 

Make your decision, be committed, and move forward with conviction.

 

Sometimes any change is better than no change at all.

SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON 2023

On December 12, 2023, we will be having a New Moon at 20° Sagittarius at 20° at 6:32 p.m. EST. 

 

This New Moon will be making a quincunx to Uranus at 19° in the sign of Taurus. 

 

New Moon’s energies are about new beginnings and often indicate a surge of activity or energy directed at making new plans of action, setting goals and aspirations, and moving in new directions within the framework of the sign and house position indicated by your natal chart.

 

Because this New Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius, our focus should be in areas related to the traits of Sagittarius.  If you have planets within 3° (17°-24°) especially by conjunction or opposition and any planets in the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), this New Moon will affect you.  If you have other planets in these degrees but not in the mutable signs or in Opposition, you can also be affected by this positioning but not to the same degree.

 

This will be the best time to begin your focus to expand your horizons and plan action that is optimistic in nature and viewed as though you will gain perspective and advancement.  The ruling planet of Sagittarius is Jupiter and Jupiter bestows good luck and often fortunate conditions especially when we are being honest with ourselves and others and making plans that not only move us in a forward direction but also have a positive impact on those around us.  You can be independent in your approach but keep in mind that what you start at this time can also affect others.

 

You may have a more adventurous spirit and feel a greater sense of confidence under this influence, and because of this broader perspective and optimistic view, your chances of success may improve.  You may find that you are more open to new concepts and outspoken when it comes to your opinion.

 

On the negative side, you may have exaggerated expectations.  Over exaggerated ideals may not be reached but the higher your aim, the greater the potential.

 

Transiting Uranus is in quincunx to this positioning, and this often suggests that you must adjust to what is taking hold.  Perhaps jumping into situations is part of the problem.  Uranus will provide a push to find something new and sometimes without due consideration.  Take your time.  Don’t jump, but you should still advance with optimism and open doors that might otherwise have been closed. 

 

You have a more open adventurous spirit at this time, and you might want to travel and broaden your horizons.  This might not be a bad idea if you can prepare for it and can afford to take this trip.  A part of you wants to move ahead without too much forethought, so think things through before jumping.

KARMIC INTENSIONS

It is not necessary to believe in reincarnation to understand the concept of karma.  Many look at Karma as something that needs to be paid, something that we are here to deliver or receive because of what actions were taken in previous incarnations. For those that do not believe in reincarnation, the concept is the same, but it is a debt owed from previous actions in this life.  Many think of Karma as something bad that is due because of negative or harmful actions we have taken.  We feel that on some level we must pay for what we have done, and in turn, learn lessons through our connectedness to the physical, mental or through life’s experience.

 

For those that believe in reincarnation, some ask why we must pay debts incurred in previous incarnations, for actions we can’t even recall.  It does not seem just. 

 

Many believe that our previous lives are all connected to this current one, so the debt still stands. We must reap what we sow.

 

No one can truly prove how this system or karma really works, although some claim otherwise.  It is likely that on some level we do have a subconscious understanding of karma and life. 

 

Karma is likely intentional and is not referred to as good or bad.  Karma can also be considered favorable and reward us for positive actions taken however many people seem to pay more attention to what they term as “bad” Karma.  If challenging Karmic implications are due so are favorable life experiences as there is always balance in life.  Perhaps paying more attention to the good in life rather than focusing on the difficulties will enhance our“good” karma.

 

Some believe or should I say feel that Karmic debt can be paid off during the life it was incurred.  Why not pay and/or reap your dues/rewards for this life now?

 

You reap what you sow and if you know that you are living your life to the best of your ability, then rewards can come to you in this life.  Mental reasoning and the ability to understand the deeper meanings is a gift that can be experienced now, no matter how it is revealed.

 

Thought processing, belief structure and focus are taught in this life, and this too is a gift, as so many do not understand or recognize this reality.  Look deeper at your life and your experiences, and recognize the blessings that have come and are coming your way.  Material comfort is not all that this life is about although there is something to say about not having to worry about your next meal or staying warm and comfortable.

 

Be happy for the positive experiences in life but work on what needs to be worked on.  Challenge the concepts that make you uncomfortable and strive for the betterment of not only your life, but the lives around you.  The opportunities surround you; pay heed.

SAGITTARIUS FORECAST 2023

Much of what we will discuss here will influence those with their Sun in Sagittarius at varying degrees.  You will have to check the degrees of influence in your natal chart along with the degrees of the transiting planets to get a clear picture of whether these positions will influence your chart and when they will highlight the areas of life suggested in your chart.  We will only look at the outer planetary positions because their influence is long lasting; the inner planets move quickly and have only a slighter influence compared to the outer planets.

 

TRANSITING PLUTO IN AQUARIUS SEXTILE SUN IN SAGITTARIUS:

Pluto is all about transformation and regeneration and will highlight individuals in a positive way providing opportunities and advancement with goals, life objectives, career path and changes of a personal nature especially those energies that needs revamping from an internal perspective.  Pluto will be in Aquarius for many years and is currently making its final pass in the sign of Capricorn.

 

Pluto will move very slowly creating many occasions when you will feel its influence. This will create inner reflection, with a need to dive deep within to gain clarity, especially on the parts of yourself that could be deemed dark or undesirable.  You will be asked to face the truth and although it may not be overly pleasant, now will be the time not only for reflection but for change either with or without your approval.  Pluto’s action is definitive and there are no half measures.  Something will end so that something new can begin.

 

If this timing fits your chart, it can affect not only your life’s path but also enhances your position for advancement in your career or with plans that you have been tossing around for moving ahead. 

 

The sextile is an opportunity aspect and although life can offer up situations that are appropriate for change and transformation to take hold quite often, you will need to set the action in motion.  Without a push from you to advance your cause, there is a chance that nothing will take hold.  With the sextile aspect, a push from you is often a requirement for advancement. 

 

TRANSITING SATURN IN PISCES SQUARING SUN IN SAGITTARIUS:

Saturn remains in Pisces into early 2026 and during its time spent in this sign, it will be making a square to those with their Sun in the degrees associated with its placement at that time. 

 

Sagittarius is a free roaming sign that loves adventure and exploration.  It is mostly adaptable to life’s situations yet wants its freedom.  With Saturn making a square to those with their Sun in Sagittarius, there may be feelings of being held back or being slowed down when it comes to the desire to move ahead in life, especially with new adventures.  Saturn likes the tried and tested and is not overly interested in moving in new directions. Saturn will likely do its best to stop you from advancing into new areas.

 

Sagittarius does enjoy free spirit and the wide-open spaces, and Saturn, the teacher and disciplinarian, will want to teach important lessons while Sagittarius finds room to move.  These lessons and teachings can be quite valuable when we look back, and over time, will create a solid foundation for the information or experiences taken.  It lays the groundwork for further advancement, but you will have to work hard to advance whatever your objectives may be.

PERIODIC SEGMENTS

You likely recall times in the past when you felt like you were moving to another level of consciousness, awakening to a new way of understanding and/or renewing with vigor with some of the things you had left behind. You may have experienced times when something comes along and creates a shift in life and a newfound freedom or newfound peace of mind. 

 

Some of these periodic segments in life that brought change may have been lasting or short lived but no matter their length, they taught you something very relevant and lasting. Life’s experiences can be completely life altering, bringing an end to certain conditions only to open doors to new and wonderful experiences.  These shifts open our eyes to new realities and bring into fruition what, in many cases, was needed at that time in life.

 

Are we at the mercy of life? 

 

Do we have choices? 

 

At times life does dictate and we feel at the mercy of circumstance. We see it all around us affecting those people who just seem to fall through the cracks or who just seem to be in the right or wrong place at the right or wrong time.

 

There are shifts throughout our life’s course that we will need to adjust to and familiarize ourselves with.  Some wonderful and some not so wonderful.  If we go deep within and ask ourselves what purpose might these events, enjoyable or stressful, have for our overall development, we will likely find the answers. There will be times we simply will not understand the “why” but will have to go with the flow and not swim against life’s current.

 

Accept life for what it is.  Appreciate your lessons and experiences; knowing that on some level valuable information is found within each of these events.  When life is going well, appreciate it fully and disregard what you may feel is missing. Focusing on the missing or on failures serves no positive purpose. It simply creates a focus on hardships and lacking. Your focus creates your reality. Be determined to learn and move through any adversity that befalls you.  You are stronger than you realize, after all, you made it this far so what are you truly capable of doing now?

 

Life moves quickly and we are here to experience it.  We are spirit living in a physical body, and we have profound knowledge within. Why do we place limits on ourselves?

SUN IN SAGITTARIUS 2023

On November 22, 2023, the Sun moves from the fixed water sign of Scorpio into the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius.

 

Mars and Mercury will also both be in the sign of Sagittarius forming a conjunction with anyone with their Sun sign in Sagittarius.

 

Mercury is at 17° Sagittarius and then goes into retrograde on December 14 (although at 8° Capricorn) but will move back into Sagittarius on December 24 still in retrograde. Mercury goes direct on January 2, 2024, and returns to Capricorn on January 13. Mercury during its retrograde cycle will move from 29° back down to 22° Sagittarius. As a result, anyone who has their Sun in these degrees will experience the conjunction as well as the retrograde cycle.

 

Mercury retrograde suggests a time for evaluating situations and making plans. Many say that it is not a good time to move ahead with plans, but it is a time to get ready to move ahead with these well-thought-out plans, once the retrograde cycle is over.

 

Mars will be in direct motion and goes into Sagittarius on November 24 and moves through this sign entering Capricorn on January 4, 2024.  Mars is about drive and activity.

 

After Mercury has finished its cycle of retrogradation, those with this connection in their chart can move ahead.  Those that have an earlier connection may find it somewhat challenging to move ahead as there may be obstructions or delays along the way especially if natal Saturn is part of the picture.

 

Sagittarius is about being attracted to wide open spaces and perhaps the Sagittarian has been thinking about taking a vacation.  This might be a good time to travel but there may be some disruptions or delays along the way because of Mercury.  It should be noted however that unless you have Mercury retrograde in your birth chart and it is affecting the natal positioning of other planets, this energy is not overly powerful.  Many individuals feel no effects from Mercury retrograde, however many fear it unnecessarily. If you are planning a holiday don’t worry about it and have some fun.

 

Sagittarians love to travel, have an open mind, and enjoy the great outdoors.  Sagittarians generally have an optimistic attitude and often believe that the best is yet to come.  They truly believe that there is always something good right around the corner.

 

Sagittarius’ energies are about expansion and often these individuals seem to have good luck following them around.  Jupiter is the ruling planet and brings with it fortunate conditions.

 

Life’s philosophies are important for Sagittarians, and they learn by experience.  The conquest for the truth is part of their journey, and they learn from what they see in front of them due to their involvement. 

 

Sagittarians are in it for the long haul but may be a little impatient when things move too slowly.  They are a fire sign and that should be expected. 

 

Excitement and enhanced experience are what these individuals love.  Some become the wanderers of the world, ever seeking life’s magnificent experience.  Others are the studious type always wanting to learn more.

THE BE ALL FOR EVERYONE

In the past, the be all for everyone would most likely be a woman but in recent years, this applies to men as well.

 

Theses individuals are the  caretakers of family, the helpers of friends, the worker that takes on any task, and the list goes on (and we are speaking of one individual doing all these tasks).

 

Most of us live busy lives and it is hard enough to take care of our own needs, never mind the needs of family, friends, co-workers, etc.  Life can be a struggle at the best of times as we find that there are not enough hours in a day to do what we feel needs to be done.  For many, this can take a heavy toll on them emotionally, physically and mentally. Not knowing how or where to say “no” causes worry, anxiety and stress which serves little purpose other than to cause dis-ease.

 

Are you one of these people? 

 

Do you find that you are running around for everyone else and have little time for yourself?

 

Perhaps it is time to review your priorities. Can the kids drop one activity, can everyone chip in with the housecleaning and yardwork, can another co-worker step up for the overtime, etc?

 

What is pressing and what is not?

 

Ask for assistance!  Take that 10-minute break to sit and meditate, take a walk in nature or around the block. Make a plan and go out on that date night.

 

Make yourself a priority. It may take a little time to begin to feel the effects. There is always a way to work it in.

 

There is a resolution to your stress and feelings of being overwhelmed. You must make yourself a priority. Make the time for you. You and your health are important.  Do it!
